Athena is a group consciousness channeled by Robin Jelinek. Robin delivers the download of information she receives to the person asking. If that is you, expect to be met with the energy needed help solve your problem. It might not be your typical “spiritual” message or delivery, but you will feel the truth in it. This group is able to speak to your higher consciousness — the guidance system inside of you — if you agree to it. Essentially, you are able to receive messages from yourself that are delivered by the group. Just like them, you are part of all consciousness (people here call it “the universe”) and this is where the information comes from. For over 40 years, Robin has been pursuing a greater meaning in life. She studied metaphysics and spirituality in great depth trying to find something, especially after her kids had grown up and moved out of the house. About 20 years ago she experienced a Kundalini awakening that is a very rare, almost out of body experience. It's an experience that people have supposedly spent entire lifetimes to achieve. It was about this time that the group came knocking at Robin's door, but it took another 20 years for her to realize it. Robin was first a wife, then a mother, and now she's a channeler. ___________________ PODCAST CHAPTERS 00:00 - Robin Jelinek / Athena in Truth Intro 02:57 - Journey of Growth and Spiritual Shifts 06:37 - Balancing Spiritual Thirst with Groundedness 08:35 - Merging with the Divine 11:01 - Manifestation and the Role of Chakras 15:54 - The Role of Teachers and Guides 22:12 - Connection with Divine Feminine Archetypes 25:44 - Merging Wisdom and Intellect 27:45 - War, Protest, and the Human Experience 29:03 - The Nature of Earth's Contrasting Plane 29:40 - Human as an Experiential Tool 31:52 - The Importance of Authenticity 34:16 - Taking Inspired Action 37:18 - Divine Principles and Laws of the Universe 39:56 - Emotions Across Realms 40:49 - Best Questions to Ask the Universe 43:53 - The Fate of Experiences After Death 45:46 - Kundalini Energy and Its Effects 53:51 - Athena's Connection to Robin 54:45 - Accelerating Consciousness 59:58 - The Future of Human Communication 01:01:52 - Channeling and Family Dynamics 01:05:08 - Kundalini and the Path to Opening Energy Centers 01:08:09 - Using Family as Mirrors for Growth 01:08:48 - Freedom Through Spiritual Connection 01:12:45 - Embracing Human Connections 01:15:43 - Congruence and Spiritual Choices 01:19:10 - Closing Thoughts on Authenticity and Free Will 01:20:37 - The Final Trio Questions ___________________ Guest: Robin Jelinek | Channel of Athena in Truth Website | https://www.athenaintruth.com/ Work with Robin | https://www.athenaintruth.com/book Live Q/A Membership | https://www.athenaintruth.com/membership Online Courses | https://www.athenaintruth.com/courses YouTube |  @athenaintruth  Host: Emilio Ortiz Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/iamemilioortiz/ Subscribe to YouTube Channel |  @EmilioOrtiz  Watch Emilio's latest series on 4biddenknowledge TV l https://bit.ly/AwakenThe6thSense ___________________ Special Offerings to Support the Show: ✦ Make a One-Time or Recurring Donation on PayPal

We had a pretty memorable experience that happened during our recent calving season (we were several brandings deep into the season of spring work at the time of this recording). During this particular branding, some of the panels opened up, and quite a few remaining calves (along with a couple of cows) got loose, running out into the pasture. I made some observations that seemed to work really well for the cattle (and the people who were able to get the cattle back to the pen) during this time, so I wanted to discuss how they relate to human interactions as well. All of these ‘lessons' carry over to our interactions with other humans in our day to day lives. None of us are going to make good decisions, or even function well, if we're in a state of distress and chaos. It's vital that we give ourselves and those around us the space we need, and be crystal clear on where we're heading. We can't expect our loved ones, co-workers, etc., to be mind readers, and always know what we're planning for next. Human communication affects so many parts of our lives; it's a super important skill that we must continue building! In this episode, we cover:Remaining calm and not getting super stressed during high-stress interactionsGiving others plenty of space (without added pressure) to make good decisionsHaving clarity on where you're headed + setting and providing clear expectations for others so they know as wellResources & Links:Join the waitlist for the Good Movement CollectiveGood Movement music by: Aaron EspePodcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingConnect with Terryn:Follow on Instagram @terryn.drielingCheck out my websiteSend me an email at terryn@terryndrieling.comMake sure to hit subscribe/follow so you never miss an episode!Find the complete show notes here: https://terryndrieling.com/what-i-learned-about-human-communication-from-the-cows-that-got-out-episode-35

We discuss suggested language for shifting power in group settings, how to create after environments, how to practice to reach yoga in a way that includes all, as well as other topics. The Essential Guide to Trauma-Sensitive Yoga has received outstanding reviews and remains an important resource for yoga teachers and practitioners as well as an intro for the yoga curious. "I was so excited to receive this book in the mail. I am an amateur yogi and an aspiring school counselor who believes that trauma-informed ANYTHING is important. I especially love that photos were added to this book for added clarification. I am excited to use this book as a guide for myself and looking forward to eventually sharing this knowledge with others! This book is essential for any instructor who wants to be trauma-informed and very helpful to anyone who practices yoga or wants to start but doesn't know how. I would give this book more stars if I could!" - Melissa Smith “The Essential Guide for Trauma Sensitive Yoga is a comprehensive resource for teachers to understand the complex nuances of trauma and the subtle and overt ways it can present itself in our students. As teachers, we have a responsibility to serve the whole person and that includes sensitizing ourselves to the various ways that trauma lives uniquely in each body, how it influences the mind and perceptions and can affect one's health and emotional wellness. Lara Land deftly provides the necessary guidance, insights, and best practices so that facilitators can support their students on their journey toward healing with more mindfulness, awareness, and skill. Lucinda is joined by Stella Collins, co-founder and chief learning officer of Stella Labs. They discuss the intersection of neuroscience and AI in the field of learning and development. Stella shares insights on how understanding how the brain learns can improve the effectiveness of learning initiatives. She emphasises the importance of motivation, practice, reflection, and spaced repetition in the learning process. Stella also highlights the role of AI in creating personalised learning journeys, providing support and feedback, and tracking progress KEY TAKEAWAYS Understanding how learning works is crucial for both learners and learning professionals. It involves recognsing the need for learning, staying motivated throughout the learning process, receiving guidance and support, practicing and experimenting with new knowledge or skills, and applying them in real-world situations. Neuroscience provides insights into how the brain learns and changes. It highlights the neuroplasticity of the brain, its energy requirements, and the importance of sleep in consolidating learning. AI can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of learning. It can help create content, suggest behaviours, personalise learning journeys, provide automated feedback and support, track progress, and generate relevant activities for learners. Gamification can be a useful tool in learning, but it should be optional and tailored to individual preferences. It can enhance motivation and engagement, but it is not necessary for effective learning. BEST MOMENTS "AI can help you be highly efficient at producing rubbish. So you do need to think about what's the effectiveness we're looking at, what are we actually trying to achieve?" "If you're a line manager who perhaps hasn't had a coaching skill or hasn't been trained on coaching, if you're given a checklist, all those stuff, here's some good questions to ask." "Learning just isn't magic. You can't onboard people faster than their brains can actually process stuff." "Good learning doesn't need gamification. Good gamification can sometimes help with learning." Realistic expectations and taking the time to get to know different types of people are important in online dating. Gender dynamics play a role in online dating experiences, with men often facing challenges in getting responses and women experiencing harassment. Success in online dating often requires endurance and the ability to overcome negative experiences. Alternative online dating experiences, such as virtual reality, are being explored but are still in the early stages. Virtual reality dating offers the opportunity to have a trial run of a date before meeting someone in person. Online dating can feel risky due to meeting strangers, but safety precautions can be taken to mitigate potential dangers. Online communication can make people more comfortable and vulnerable in revealing themselves. The future of online dating may involve the integration of video and finding ways to address the problems and frustrations users experience. Balancing online and in-person dating can provide more opportunities to meet potential partners. We humans are social animals—and that takes work. As we move through the world, we have to navigate around other people's desires, needs, and beliefs. Much of this work happens in conversation—through our words, our glances, our gestures. It happens in countless different situations, according to different norms and systems. Human social interaction is, in short, a multi-layered, delicate dance. But it's also not the only kind of social interaction out there. Apes, dogs, and other social species also have to negotiate with others and sometimes with humans. There's not just one species of conversation, in other words—there are many.  My guest today is Dr. Federico Rossano, Associate Professor of Cognitive Science and Director of the Comparative Cognition Lab at the University of California, San Diego. Throughout his career, Federico has studied social interaction from a number of different angles, in a range of different settings, and across different species—including humans, bonobos, orangutans, and most recently dogs.   Here, we discuss the field of conversation analysis and how Federico got started in it. We talk about his early work on how people use gaze in conversation, and how the use of gaze differs across cultures. We discuss how Federico ported some of the tools of conversation analysis over to study social interaction in apes. We also talk about his new line of research on how dogs use soundboards to communicate with their human caretakers. This work has been attracting a lot of buzz and also a bit of pushback, so we dig into the controversy. Along the way, we touch on: Umberto Eco; platypuses; how much work it takes to simply come across as ordinary; the concept of the human interaction engine; the Clever Hans effect; the impossible task; and why many scientists are so skittish about animal language research. This episode is not just about different forms of conversation. It is itself a different form of conversation—at least for us. This was our first ever in-person interview, something we expect to do a bit more of going forward. Alright friends, on to my real-life, 3d, face-to-face chat with Dr. Federico Rossano. Enjoy!   A transcript of this episode will be available soon.   Notes and links  4:00 – The classic 1964 paper, ‘The Neglected Situation,' by Erving Goffman. 6:00 – An obituary for the novelist and semiotician, Umberto Eco, who died in 2016. Dr. Tara Dew is the wife of Dr. Jamie Dew, president of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary & Leavell College (NOBTS). She is a mom to two sets of twins: Natalie & Nathan and Samuel & Samantha. After graduating from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Communication, Tara taught second grade for four years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. — “Life is a good teacher and a good friend. Things are always in transition, if we could only realize it. Nothing ever sums itself up in the way that we like to dream about. The off-center, in-between state is an ideal situation, a situation in which we don't get caught and we can open our hearts and minds beyond limit. — Life's work is to wake up, to let the things that enter into the circle wake you up rather than put you to sleep. The only way to do this is to open, be curious, and develop some sense of sympathy for everything that comes along, to get to know its nature and let it teach you what it will. It's going to stick around until you learn your lesson, at any rate. — Pema Chödrön. Valeria interviews Allie Vaknin  — she serves as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Orlando, Florida, working primarily with adolescents and adults who suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, identity issues, and relationship difficulties. Allie graduated from Columbia University with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling, and prior to that, received degrees in Human Communication and Sociology with a minor in Leadership Studies from the University of Central Florida. A majority of her clinical experience has focused on serving individuals from marginalized and underserved communities across the country, including Miami, Orlando, [near] Los Angeles, and New York City. As the daughter of immigrants, a Colombian mother and Israeli father, her multicultural background and diverse clinical experiences have been an asset when working with issues of identity and complex trauma. Her approach focuses on helping clients develop self-understanding and learn practical skills. She believes education is a form of empowerment, so she frequently infuses opportunities for clients to learn about psychological concepts that can help them understand their own experience. She also incorporates mindfulness and self-compassion techniques, which help clients become more present and less harsh on themselves. Overall, her style of counseling can be described as supportive, empowering, insightful, collaborative, and oftentimes funny. She genuinely loves her job, and she's grateful for each opportunity to cross paths with, and support, a fellow human being.
