While this approach will produce results, you can also be successful if competing is your hobby that doesn't consume every aspect of your life. Allex Granger is an example of just that. Allex's lifelong goal of becoming an IFBB Bikini professional was inspired by her mom, who went pro as an NGA bodybuilder. Allex began her competitive journey in 2019 and went pro at NPC Universe in July 2021. She accomplished her goal while also being a posing coach, NPC judge, and nurse practitioner. I am excited for you to hear her story and learn how she handles the mental struggles that come with competing, why she became an NPC judge, and why she chose to have two coaches instead of one.   Here's what you'll hear: [5:00] Bikini Hack [12:30] How did your fitness journey begin? [14:30] In what ways has your mom influenced your journey? [17:30] Are there any differences between what your mom did while competing to what we do now? [18:00] Why did you decide to do the NPC instead of the NGA? [19:30] Why do you think it was so important to you to turn pro? [21:00] You were so close to getting your pro card several times before you actually got it. What was that experience like? [26:30] How did you know it was okay to keep pushing instead of taking a break? [28:00] What did you eat on your refuel day to get in 600g of carbs? [29:00] What was the headrest part about your improvement season before turning pro? [30:30] What do you think was the most helpful for your mindset when dealing with weight gain? [36:30] What are ways that you like to play hard after working hard? [45:00] How did you get started as an NPC judge? [47:30] How do you feel that being a judge has helped you as a competitor? [52:00] What was your experience like going straight into the Republic of Texas after getting your pro card? [55:00] Why do you think you went through mental struggles after getting your pro card? [57:00] What was your feedback after your pro debut and what was different for you this year as you did a full season? [58:30] How did it feel to finally be on the pro stage and doing the pro things? [1:01:00] How did it feel getting the feedback that you're not lean enough after being told you were too lean last year? [1:04:00] What do you plan on doing differently during your break in order to bring a better physique when you return? [1:05:30] How has it worked for you to have a prep coach and a programming coach? [1:08:30] What are you looking forward to this year? Ashley started learning the ins and outs of competing and used her B.S. degree in Food and Nutritional Sciences with her concentration in dietetics to help her prepare for her very first show where she coached herself. After 1 year and 4 shows later Ashley became a IFBB Bikini pro in 2015 at North Americans and eventually crossed over into the IFBB Figure division in 2017. She has placed top 10 in multiple IFBB Pro Figure shows but currently is focusing on her coaching and training business instead of competing. Ashley loves competing and everything it has taught her. She loves the everyday lifestyle of following a nutrition plan or tracking macros and working out and continues to live the same lifestyle even though she isn't currently competing. Currently, Ashley run's her personal training business out of a small private training gym in Chandler, Arizona called Elev8 Fitness. She does in person and online training and is also a Neufit practitioner helping people get out of pain and train in a more efficient way using neuromuscular reprogramming. Her number one goal in life right now is to help as many people as she can to live a fit and healthy lifestyle in a way that is realistic and maintainable.

In this episode, Celeste has the pleasure of speaking with Alejandra Ballesteros, an IFBB Bikini pro who won her pro card at North Americans in 2018, who has overcome many adversities and hardships in her life to get to where she is today. Besides being an IFBB Pro coached by Ryan Hinton, Alejandra is also an in-person & online trainer for both lifestyle and competition clients. As always, Celeste kicks off the episode by asking Alejandra if she has a special routine or ritual she runs through right before her heel hits the stage. Alejandra shares her perspective on channeling her inner performer and the energy she brings and exudes when she hits the stage. From there, Celeste asks Alejandra to share, in her own words, her life’s mission. Alejandra dives into how exactly she wants to use her platform as an IFBB Pro to help inspire others to prioritize health and discover and channel their inner champion. She then goes on to explain how she represents and embodies an inner champion on a day to day basis and the significance that role has in her own life.  Next, Celeste asks Alejandra to share her experiences with being bullied and how she used that as a motivator in the gym. The two briefly touch on the importance of self efficacy and how it translates to self confidence both in bodybuilding and life. Then, Celeste goes back to Alejandra’s experiences with bullying and asks Alejandra if it ever caused her to struggle with body image. Alejandra shares many details about the bad habits she developed when she first wanted to get in shape, yet she really started to educate herself once she found the weight room and the gym. She also shares that along with the physical and mental changes fitness became more of a safe haven and representation of commitment instead of solely being something for her physical body. Celeste then asks Alejandra if she feels she would have the success she has today in both competing and her career had it not been for her humble beginnings. Celeste asks Alejandra to elaborate more on her commitment to growth when it came to her career in fitness and Alejandra shares how her original job as a front desk worker at the gym evolved into pursuing a career in personal training. She explains how the first few opportunities came her way before she felt fully ready to explore the world of personal training, yet after her experiences and relationships she built at the 6th Street Gold’s Gym, while still in college, she finally decided to open the door the next time that opportunity came knocking. Alejandra shares the struggles she faced while pursuing personal training, something she found she had a passion for, while studying government at University of Texas. She talks about the depression she fell into while learning how to manage her conflicting feelings on her educational path. After hearing more about her beginnings in the professional side of fitness, Celeste asks Alejandra what inspired her to make the decision to compete. Alejandra then goes on to tell listeners about how she met her current hair stylist who encouraged her to compete and reach out to a local trainer on Instagram, Lauren Flodquist, who through winning a giveaway, ended up becoming Ale’s mentor and role model. Through the mentorship she met coach and Texas bodybuilding legend Dave Shockterly and worked with him up to her first competition where she competed in both figure and bikini. After competing for the first time she fell in love with the finesse of bikini, deciding that would be the division she pursued. Although falling in love with competing after her first show, Alejandra found herself in a tough financial situation yet at the same time yearned for the stage and to continue progressing. Feeling lost and unsure of where to go, she reached out to her friend, Lauren, her former mentor, and Lauren encouraged Alejandra to reach out to a few different coaches. Alejandra then got in touch with Team Legacy coach, Ryan Hinton, and she was immediately impressed with how invested Ryan was in helping her grow not only as an athlete physically but also mentally. Celeste asks Alejandra about the positive influence that Ryan had on her mentality and how that contributed to her success on her journey stepping on various national stages and ultimately earning her pro card. Next, Alejandra shares her experiences at her first national show and what it was like to meet JM Manion and Angelica Teixeira. After her first national show she felt she had good momentum and following her gut, signed up for her second national show. Unfortunately, Alejandra didn’t realize the financial and mental toll doing back to back shows would have, and found herself stuck between sticking to social commitments she’d made with her boyfriend, or going all out to pursue her dream of becoming a pro. She decided that she felt the need to fearlessly chase her dream yet ended up losing her job while being only 10 days out from her second national show. Alejandra takes listeners through what exactly happened at USAs and the lessons and takeaways she gained from that experience. Bouncing back from taking 3rd place at USAs and losing her job a week and a half before her show, Alejandra shares how she regained a job at Lifetime Fitness. From there, she recounts her journey to and experiences at North Americans, her third national show, and what obstacles she had to overcome to get there. Alejandra shares the advice she received from head judge Sandy Williamson after her second national show and what she did to bring the physique the judges were looking for at North Americans. While reminiscing on the experience at North Americans, Alejandra shares some advice that she received from both JM Manion and Angelica Teixeira and Celeste asks that if, in retrospect, she understands why JM and Angelica encouraged her to do that specific show.  Next, the conversation transitions into Alejandra’s plans and focus as a new pro. Celeste asks Alejandra about the feedback she received after winning her pro card and what her plans are for her pro debut. Celeste and Alejandra talk strategy, opening the floor for Alejandra to share how she approaches an improvement season and if she continues to work with her coach during that time. From there, Celeste and Alejandra discuss the topic of heavy lifting and Celeste asks Alejandra how incorporating that into her training has helped attribute to her success on stage. Alejandra then shares insight on how she maintains her focus on heavy lifting while in prep and she tells listeners her favorite exercises for glutes, hamstrings, and shoulders. The conversation shifts into the benefits of experimenting with other forms of training and how to implement those into ones training to grow in the ways they hope. For example, the girls discuss what benefits come from seeking training advice from a power lifter to maximize gains in their biggest lifts thus seeing the necessary growth and improvement they desire for the stage.  After talking training, Alejandra opens up about some regrets she does have during her journey through her national shows yet she also shares the valuable lessons she learned from her experiences. She shares that winning her pro card was not what she expected and shares what she felt was the true prize. As always, concluding the episode Celeste asks Alejandra to give her best advice for first time competitors as well as the girls on their road to pro.  CONNECT WITH ALEJANDRA: https://www.instagram.com/alejandra.ifbbpro/ CONNECT WITH CELESTE:  https://www.instagram.com/celestial_fit/ WWW.CELESTIAL.FIT EPISODE TIME STAMPS: [2:40] Alejandra shares her pre-stage ritual. In this episode host Celeste Rains- Turk connects with IFBB Bikini pro India Paulino for a special Mother’s Day series episode. India is a holder of 15 professional championships with 3 Arnold Wins as Ms Bikini International and multiple Olympia appearances. She is the podcast host for RAW and travels as a speaker while running her online training business. India focuses her work on personal development coaching and conscious parenting. India talks about her personal development rituals and the importance of doing self-exploratory work. Her personal development was inspired by going through her own experiences and dark places. She explains the importance of getting to know yourself your perspective changes and begin to be insightful about our self. She reflects on the importance of gratitude and accepting your worth. She states that through personal development we are not losing ourselves but shedding the parts we had originally built to protect our self in the past. Her work focuses on the importance of recognizing reactions to situations and knowing when to reach out for help.  The theme of self-exploration and personal development continues as India reflects on being a mother and how she experiences motherhood. India explains the importance of taking care of yourself mentally, physical, spiritually and emotionally. She states, “Motherhood brings up a lot of our old stuff.” She mentions how she dealt with emotions during her pregnancy even when her birth plans did not go as she had originally planned. India talks about her unplanned birth story and how she coped with the last-minute changes to her initially well thought out plan for birth. Indian emphasizes the importance on taking time to process and reflect, mentally and physically.  As a parent, India explains her natural approach to parenting. India states that her and Whitney were ready to have a child, so it was time to step away from the stage to focus on family. She had no issues getting pregnant after years of competing at such a prestigious level. In an inspiring journey from competitor to new mother, India discussed her approach about postpartum and not putting stress on herself to lose the weight. India stresses the importance of talking to your doctors. To be careful because the body is in a different state. To not feel pressured to look a certain way and more to focus on honoring yourself while creating healthy boundaries through your process. India restates the importance of focusing on mental health first and not to hurt yourself to obtain a body type if your mental health isn’t there. India shares her insights on parents and the connection between your child and yourself, while also respecting your child’s unique self. Her conscious parenting style focuses on self reflection and identifying triggers to remove our Ego while responding to the child’s needs. Respect is something she mentions frequently and understanding that your child should be encouraged to live their life in a way free from preconceived expectations of the parents. India reiterates her emphasis on raising her son in a natural way. She explains the differences in plant-based diets and veganism. She was met with minimal resistance and skeptics when she expressed raising her child vegan. The importance is about eating from a variety of sources and education about proper nutrients.  While being a businesswoman, athlete, and mother India explains how she balances her schedule by prioritizing tasks and executing them. India states that the important aspect is scheduling time for yourself and self-care. She explains about the importance of asking for help and not feeling like everything has to be done at once.  She concludes the episode by reflecting on her 3 time Ms. Bikini International title and the unreal experience of being able to accomplish so much through her career. She alludes to a special upcoming announcement in the next few months, yet India doesn’t have a definitive plan in place currently for competing. India expresses her opinions on sponsorships and how having a title, winnings or certain athletic standings doesn’t guarantee income or fame. India expresses her happiness regarding her achievements and that all the hard work was worth it, but that the title wasn’t magically life changing for her.  Ultimately in the industry, it is important how you represent yourself. India explains her views on being a good role model and establishing a unique brand for yourself not to rely on your looks or athletic shape to make you successful in the industry. If you want to make a career through the industry then you need to begin well before you achieve a title. She reiterates that an athlete should wait for a winning or title to begin something they are passionate about.  The episode concludes with India’s feelings about the look of bikini. She believes the look of bikini has changed and became very different compared to when it first started. She expands on the timeline of bikini and how the sport has evolved over the years including new competitors entering the sport as the physique evolves. India reflects on her years of competing and her experiences as the sport has changed into what it is today. In this inspiring, motivating and heart felt episode, India reflects on her journey to help encourage, motivate and assist woman through their own personal development journey and path to self-love and acceptance.  CONNECT WITH INDIA:INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/indiapaulino/ YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZj2n_-Yz-ceDahWRahmrLw EMAIL: coach@indiapaulino.com CONNECT WITH CELESTE: INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/celestial_fit/ WEBSITE: WWW.CELESTIAL.FIT EPISODE TIME STAMPS [2:12] Prestage Ritual [3:30] Personal development/ daily  [7:37] Inspired personal development  [10:00] Identifying triggers  [15:14] The most important aspect in accepting your goals and results  [17:10] Self Worth and self awareness  [19:54] Being the best Mom she can be  [23:50] Becoming a Doula through pregnancy  [25:15] Birth Story  [31:44] Birth process and reflect  [32:30] What inspired a home birth  [35:00] Stepping away from the stage to start family  [37:25] Ready to start a family [37:50] No complications getting pregnancy  [38:24] Coming back from unhealthy training and coaches [44:15] Eating enough and postpartum weight loss [44:51] Post partum journey and reflection     [46:00] Personal training through Push app [47:40] Why we need to stop Mom shaming [50:35] Breast feeding  [55:00] Conscious parenting [1:00:29] The social disconnect between parent and child  [1:03:32] Relationship with your partner as being a conscious parent [1:07:16] Push back as raising her child vegan [1:11:31] Setting yourself up for success  [1:12:00] India’s passion for animals and her special needs animals [1:16:24] Ms Bikini International reflection [1:22:47] Making a career out of bodybuilding  [1:26:00] Current state of bikini [1:32:00] Where people can connect with her

Less Isn't Always More with Margret Gnarr Margrett is an IFBB Bikini professional born and raised in Iceland. Ever since she was young she always wanted to be the first one to go to the olympics in every sport she attempted. She wanted to represent her country and be the best at her craft. She definitely fulfilled this dream. She became the first IFBB Bikini professional from Iceland, paving the way for many more females to chase their dreams too. Margret has competed and placed well at the most prestigious shows; The Olympia, The Arnold, and The Arnold Australia. One of her proudest moments was when she won the IFBB World Championships.   Her prep into the Bikini International was the first time her body began to work against her. It was the very first time she had ever experienced little to no progress and this led her to push even harder. She quickly began overeating and over exercising doing more than what her coach prescribed. Continuously, she would get the same critiques from the judges to be leaner. This was very hard on her and she became even more obsessed with being perfect and doing more to win shows. This led to a complete breaking point. She decided she needed to take a break from competing.   During this time she did the work to heal herself. Listen to this episode and take a glimpse into the life of Margaret Gnarr. Fearless Training Roar Knowledge Podcast Episode 33: Laurin Conlin - Redefining Healthy - Nutrition & Female Strength Training Welcome back to the Fearless Training "Roar Knowledge" Podcast where we talk everything; Training, Nutrition & Lifestyle. Laurin Conlin, Owner and Head Coach Laurin started Team LoCoFit with the mission to redefine healthy within the fitness industry. As a competitor within the industry, she saw both a lack of education and quality from many coaches. That is why Team LoCoFit focuses on quality coaching, putting the clients long term interests first and taking an educated, evidence based approach to all matters. Laurin’s interest of nutrition started from a very disordered place; as she was anorexic for many years growing up. Her interest then shifted to nutrition and performance as a track and field athlete in high school, to then an amateur bodybuilder. She competed for several years as an NPC Figure competitor before making the switch to the Bikini division. In 2014, she won the overall at NPC Nationals in Bikini, earning her professional status. Laurin has competed for several years as an IFBB Bikini pro since. She attended the Florida State University for her undergraduate degree, pursuing a Bachelors in Exercise Science. She then went on to complete her Masters in Exercise Science from University of South Florida in Dr. Bill Campbell’s lab. Laurin’s Masters research focused on how different dieting strategies effect weight loss and weight regain. Particularly, looking at a ‘flexible’ diet where no foods are excluded versus a meal plan, where foods were excluded. Her research was the first study to directly examine this relationship between these two diets. Laurin travels to give lectures and seminars on a variety of topics including nutrition, training, psychological aspects of dieting, running a business and more. She hosts two podcasts, Redefine Healthy Radio and The UNglamorous Life. Additionally, Laurin works with several companies within the industry who align with her values and provide the best products and services within their market. From Bikini Pro to Figure Pro with Ashley Wiens   Competing should be a choice not a coerce — by yourself or anybody else. And you have to make the right choice. "How I do that?" You ask. You do that by asking yourself the right questions, such as: Why should I compete? Do I have what it takes to compete in bodybuilding? What is my goal? In which category should I compete?    When you catch a glimpse of the alluring pictures of bodybuilders, there's no doubt: bodybuilding is a sport that you want to dip your toes into. But unfortunately, it's not as easy and glamorous as the pictures suggest. A lot of work goes into making the figures you see in those photos as glorious as they look. The good thing is, when you make the choice to compete — not just doing it for the sake of it — you will be committed to your "why" and it's unlikely you will be swept out to sea when the process gets tough. Ashley Wiens is here to share with us why it's important to make it a choice and not any other thing.    Ashley Wiens is an IFBB Bikini and Figure Pro, Online Fitness and Nutrition coach. The NASM Certified Personal Trainer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutritional Sciences with a concentration in Dietetics and has over five years of experience in the field.    Ashley began competing in 2014 in the Bikini division where she quickly worked her way up to earning her IFBB Pro card at the North Americans. She has since switched to figure division. Ashley made her IFBB Figure debut in 2018, earning her IFBB Figure Pro card.  Ashley is very passionate about health and fitness and her goal is to inspire others to live a fit and healthy lifestyle.    In this episode, you will learn so many great things from Ashley including how she's been able to develop her patience, and how you can have patience too. You will also learn choices and making the right choices in your fitness journey. This episode is full of uplifting stories and perspectives that will change the way you think about competing.    You don't want to skip a single line.   Takeaways Respect yourself and others in this industry Be disciplined and consistent Appreciate the journey that it took you to get there Take every single failure as an opportunity to improve and get better Be patient; it takes time Carry yourself in a respectful manner, and you will be respected back Put in the work, stay dedicated and trust that it will happen at the right time Trust your instincts Competing is a choice Choose to do it in a way that you enjoy doing it   Important Questions [00:06:45] How many years have you been competing?  [00:07:04] When and where did you get your pro card?  [00:13:13] What is your why behind competing you think? [00:23:02] What made you want to switch from bikini to figure?  [00:40:07] When you left bikini, what would you say were the major changes that you had to make?  [00:42:23] What would you say is the toughest challenge you have faced making the switch? [00:47:33] How did you turn pro in figure?  [00:52:39] Can you kindly walk us through your training splits?  [00:53:42] How much cardio would you say that you're doing now that you're in figure?  [00:55:44] What's the best way to put on muscle?  [01:01:36] How do you structure your meals for the day? [01:05:37] Do you feel like there is more money in figure than in bikini? How I Gained 30 Pounds In 6 Days Post Show For you to perform optimally, you have to prepare adequately. Well, it goes without saying that the lack of adequate prepping is the best recipe for failure. Don’t get me wrong. Prepping for a competition can be a huge challenge. But with the right mindset, the right support, and putting in the work, it can only get easier.  I need to mention that preparation applies to both pre and post-shows. While you may prepare well for the show – and actually perform well - post-shows might be a total miss for you if you overlook the importance of planning for post-show celebrations especially. This may cause you to crumble even after victoriously scooping the pool. It is from this context that you should also focus and think beyond the night of the show. So, how do you prep adequately? Let’s learn some tips from Tamara.  Tamara Haddad is an IFBB Bikini Pro and she has been competing for the last 9 years.   Spreading her excellence to upcoming athletes, Tamara is currently a Lifestyle Training & Nutrition Coach as well as Posing Technique & Stage Presentation Coach. Besides competing in various Bikini platforms, Tamara is recognized for pulling it off at the Olympia twice and the Arnolds. Tamara is publicly announcing for the first time on Bikini Diaries that the time has come for her to hang up the boots.  In this episode, Tamara teaches us her tips and tricks on how she actually helps her clients deal with the hardest parts about prepping. She will also share her experiences with bingeing and how she gained 30 pounds in one week after a show. After listening to this episode, you will definitely be able to relate to Tamara as she talks about how her relationship with God evolved during her prepping experience.  Stay tuned!    Takeaways Be disciplined and confident  Keep going strong when you can Push yourself and challenge yourself  Do everything that you need to do to stay balanced Where you grow it's where you develop your discipline and your spirituality  Have the proper mindset Be positive with yourself  The biggest reason anyone gives up is that their “why” is not strong enough Everyone is different and unique; it's not the same for everybody   Have integrity and be loyal to the process You won’t feel 100% confident on stage if you didn't do everything that you were supposed to do When you're your best then you are a winner Everything is possible within your hands All your decisions matter Do your homework and hire the right coach You have to have the right leader leading you   Important questions [00:06:48] How many years have you been competing? [00:12:51] What kept you motivated and what continues to keep you motivated now? [00:23:40] Exactly why did you continue to compete after you started? [00:26:53] Why do you think that competing often leads into solitude? [00:35:10] What do you think is the biggest reason people actually fail at competing? Relationships Struggle While Competing   By competing, we all strive to gain victory when we step out of that stage. However, the prepping process is not always easy. It’s a difficult plight. While your attention shifts to prepping for the competition, your relationship with family and friends is at risk of going down the drain. As a matter of fact, when you immerse yourself to competing, things are going to change. Relationships will be affected either negatively or positively depending on how well you address the foreseeable change. So, how do you strike a balance between your relationships and competing? I had the pleasure of speaking to Sonia, who’s will share how she lost relationships while competing.  Sonia Lewis is an IFBB Bikini Pro. Sonia talks how she has absolutely no balance when she's in prep, as well as her love life.  Additionally, she will share on how relationships with her friends and her family are just so stinking hard to manage.  I’m sure you struggle with this too. So let’s go!    Takeaways Always stay ready so you don't have to get ready Talk to your family and friend about what competing takes Find a balance between competing and your relationships  Even if you have stretch marks, you can still compete Just like it takes time to build your muscles, it takes time for your skin to tighten up  Be confident with yourself  The more shows you do, the more comfortable you get on stage Compete with yourself, don't compete with other people Competing definitely teaches you great practices of health Do thorough research on your coaches, you just can’t trust everyone     Important Questions [00:06:46] How many years have you been competing? [00:07:33] What is your favorite quote that keeps you going? [00:10:12] What exactly keeps you motivated? [00:12:36] How did you start your bikini journey? [00:23:24] Can you quickly explain the Arnold to everyone just in case they don't know what it is? [00:26:09] How exactly were you able to balance being in this negative energy, having a child, and going into this competition?  [00:27:50] What exactly gets left behind when you start competing? [00:29:43] How did the relationship with your child change? [00:31:40] Do you ever regret growing out of some of the old relationships that you had? [00:37:09] What's your remedy for stretch marks? [00:42:10] If you could change anything about the sport, what exactly do you think you would change? [00:48:53] What exactly would you tell someone who's struggling through their first competition? But sometimes your coach may do more harm to you than good. Now, as a learner, is it advisable not to just follow blindly on the things your coach asks you to do. This way, you will be in a position to tell if your coach is helpful or they’re just after your bucks. Sometimes also you have to listen to your gut feeling. Competing Saved My Life You want to be happy, right? I also want to be happy. We all want to be happy. But sometimes life throws at us obstacles and challenges to a point of depression: You can't sleep. You lose appetite. You feel useless. Eventually, you get stuck and you are at your wits' end.    It's much worse when people around you recognize you're hanging off the cliff, but instead of saving you, they unexpectedly snip the rope you've been holding to stay alive. This is not a fairy tale. Kerryne Henich has been through it all.    Kerryne is IFBB Bikini professional and a coach. She has successfully been competing for 10 years. This year alone, Kerryne has done nine shows and still have strength left for more. She aspires to become an Olympian and she is tirelessly working towards achieving that goal. The 39-year-old is a mother of four and does not allow anything to come in between her kids and competition. In fact, she says competing saved her life.    Today, talking to Kerryne, her story got me teary. I probably should caution you too because this episode is a tear-jerker. So just keep your handkerchief close enough. The dazzling Kerryne will open her heart and talk to you all about overcoming her eating disorder, sticking up to her husband, and leaving her community behind. Her journey is rich, real an honorable and I am so excited and delighted to share it with you all.   Let's go.   Key takeaways Don't abandon your goals, you can do anything The healthy state of your mind is dependent on who you are with Keep going, you will get better and better. You're the only person that can control your life Loving and learning to accept who you are, how you are will make you stronger Don't compare yourself to others, work on achieving your goals for you We all have battles that people don't even know we're dealing with, don't compare your journey with someone else's. If you're struggling with any kind of healthier mindset, go to therapy Identify your triggers, then stay away from them Patience, persistence, and consistency is always key to everything  If it's something you really want, you just have to keep going The choice to stay or walk away is in your hands Put yourself first   Important questions [00:05:19] How many years have you been competing?
