Trump also unveiled a limited edition passport featuring his own face with the words "welcome, but be good!," announced plans to renovate a DC golf course starting September 1st, and personally inspected Lafayette Park to ensure it will have exactly 47 maple trees because he's the 47th president. The administration also announced the "Patriot Games" — aka the Hunger Games — a high school athletic competition on the National Mall in August where kids from each state compete for a $250,000 scholarship they split two ways, streaming on ESPN. The Iran war is back on: Trump announced strikes on Iranian targets after an attack on a commercial tanker, threatened to "militarily complete the job," Iran responded by asserting full control of the Strait, threatening to halt negotiations, and launching drone and missile attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait — while Israel and Lebanon signed a framework agreement requiring Israel to withdraw if Lebanon verifies Hezbollah has been fully dismantled, with the US committing $100 million in humanitarian aid. The show follows comic book store owner Stuart Bloom from The Big Bang Theory in a new series where he attempts - and apparently fails - to save the universe, staying true to his unlucky nature. The spinoff consists of ten episodes, streaming every Thursday at 9 PM. It debuts July 23 on HBO Max . So this got us thinking about some cool spinoffs with quirky characters from other shows we've watched over the years. Here are three clever spinoff concepts in the same spirit as Stuart Fails to Save the Universe: Jack Bauer from 24 Title: 24/7 After finally retiring from CTU, Jack Bauer is forced to take a mundane job as head of security at a mid-sized suburban office park in Los Angeles — mostly to keep his health insurance. Still operating with the intensity, paranoia, and zero-tolerance policy that once saved the world multiple times, Jack now applies his elite counter-terrorism skills to everyday annoyances: package thieves, passive-aggressive HR Manager, broken printers, and the HOA president who keeps violating noise ordinances. Every episode plays out in real time (a 24-minute comedy format), following Jack as he tackles a new "crisis" — whether it's a missing office dog, a suspected mole in accounting, or an all-out war with the food truck that keeps getting his lunch order wrong. Jack still does dramatic split-screen monologues, tortures (metaphorically) the vending machine, and keeps a "go bag" full of zip ties and protein bars in his desk. Chandler's deadpan sarcasm and quick wit make him an elite handler and master of undercover personas. Monica's terrifying organizational skills, attention to detail, and competitive nature make her an absolute weapon in logistics, interrogation, and hand-to-hand combat (she once took down three targets with a perfectly thrown fondue fork). While they're out saving the world from international threats, they have to keep their double lives completely hidden from Ross, Rachel, Joey, and Phoebe — who still think Chandler hates his job and Monica is just an obsessive chef. Still the passionate, food-obsessed, emotionally open romantic we know and love, Boyle now channels his legendary enthusiasm into solving the city's strangest unsolved mysteries: everything from a serial killer who leaves gourmet meals at crime scenes to a black-market truffle smuggling ring. He attacks each case with the same intensity he once reserved for perfecting his coq au vin recipe. Trump is now calling on the Department of Justice this morning to investigate so-called price gouging at the pump, and why, according to White House sources speaking to Redacted News, the team negotiating the Ukraine-Russia deal has now discussed with President Trump the possibility of lifting sanctions on Russian oil. This would be a major move to lift sanctions on Russia and it would send a shockwave through the EU where they just introduced a new round of sanctions.

Trump's proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the U.S. and Iran is so dreadful that even the network that helped get him elected cannot muster much enthusiasm for it.The producers at Fox & Friends trotted out several experts who said the pending agreement was worse than no deal between the two countries. Brian Kilmeade even snapped an experienced military expert who tried to downplay the agreement's shortcomings.Sean Hannity shifted his focus to criticizing the newly opened Obama Presidential Center rather than try to promote the deeply flawed MoU. The cast of The Five spoke about it in vague terms but spent far more time and effort on what they were called the socialist revolution in the Democratic Party.The only holdout was Jesse Watters; a man so dim he once asked during an episode of The Five if seals could breathe out of water. Seals are covered in fur and have puppy-like faces - two obvious signs of mammalian traits.In the four and a half years I've covered Fox News I have never seen the network abandon Donald J. Trump as they did last week. Normally Fox will simply ignore stories it cannot spin as it did during the Israel-Hamas conflict, the many scandals surrounding the Epstein files, and countless embarrassing gaffes and alarming social media posts made by President Trump.Instead of pretending the MoU didn't exist multiple Fox News hosts and guests openly criticized it. It was shocking to witness as this is incredibly unusual for a network that thanked its viewers for voting for Trump and enthusiastically celebrated his inauguration.Fox News is the Trump administration in many ways as over 20 former Fox News hosts or contributors have government positions in the president's second term. While several former Trump officials, such as Kayleigh McEnany and Kellyanne Conway are now Fox News employees.There is no line between the propaganda network and the president's mind as Trump has been known to change policy soon after a Fox News host suggests it on air. The president has also posted slogans, conspiracy theories and policy ideas on social media minutes after they were broadcast on Fox News.Most of the pushback against Trump's MoU came from the folks on Fox & Friends. The corporate heads at Fox News have the most influence over the popular morning show than any other programming.It seems that the corporate leadership or even the Murdoch family is trying to send the president a message since they know he's a devoted fan of the morning show.Other topics the network spent a lot of airtime covering last week:* The socialist takeover of the Democratic Party* European World Cup attendees falling in love with America* Liberals lack of patriotism* How the FBI foiled a terrorist attack planned for the UFC fight at the White House.There was little talk of the affordability crisis or domestic issues, but Fox did mention that Ukraine managed to strike military targets in Moscow. Fox has gone weeks without including much of anything about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.This week's newsletter is solely dedicated to how the network framed the pending MoU between the United States and Iran. It's so unusual for Fox News to openly criticize the Trump administration that I felt it was far more important to cover this than the usual ‘Democrats are terrible' schtick on the network. Today's Headlines: Anti-ICE protesters in Texas were sentenced to between 50 and 100 years in prison after a judge stacked consecutive sentences for each count — normally they'd run concurrently — in what was explicitly viewed as a test case for how courts will handle dissent against the Trump administration, and separately the DOJ indicted 15 Minnesota protesters for "violently opposing federal law enforcement" by trying to block ICE arrests, so the message is clear. The Washington Post dropped a blockbuster investigation revealing that Tulsi Gabbard's political career was effectively run by her cult leader guru Chris Butler, who emailed her directives from a special address telling her what policies to support, how to behave on television, and writing her tweets down to the word and exact time to post. Ukraine, meanwhile, is winning the intelligence war against Russia using an underground network of "vidmas" — female honey pots drawn from Ukrainian folklore — to locate Russian troops for drone strikes, and separately knocked out power to half of Russian-occupied Crimea.  On the Iran war beat, the Senate passed a war powers resolution to prevent further military action in Iran on its tenth attempt — ten! — with four Republicans joining Democrats, Fetterman voting for the war, and Mitch McConnell still missing. In a rare bipartisan effort, Congress also passed a housing bill banning private equity from buying more than 350 homes at once and relaxing local building regulations, which won't fix the housing crisis immediately but is technically something. In other news,  Foreign hackers from Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea are infiltrating American homes through smart devices and cheap consumer gadgets like digital photo frames to steal data. Also, the Trump administration installed AI surveillance towers around the reflecting pool in the rain — which refilled the pool they had just drained — and put up chain link fences around the national monument, classy. Finally, SpaceX's stock is already down 45% from its all-time high less than two weeks after its IPO, and the company has already issued $25 billion in bonds despite just raising $75 billion, which is not a great sign.
