A new study published in the Journal of Research in Personality suggests that people often make inaccurate judgments about an individual's personality based on their tattoos.Researchers at Michigan State University, including William Chopik and Brooke Soulliere, conducted an experiment involving 274 tattooed adults and a separate group of college students and professors who were asked to judge the personalities of the tattooed individuals based on photos of their tattoos alone. The study found that while the judges often agreed with each other on what a tattoo might signify, their conclusions rarely matched the self-reported personalities of the tattoo owners. The researchers discovered that people were frequently misjudged on traits such as agreeableness, conscientiousness, extroversion, and neuroticism. The only exception was for people with "quirky or wacky" tattoos, who were accurately perceived as being open to new experiences, a trait that was confirmed by their own personality tests. The findings highlight how judgments about tattooed people are often based on stereotypes rather than reality. The study also mentioned that previous research has shown that women with visible tattoos are less likely to be hired for supervisory roles, suggesting these misconceptions can have real-world consequences.Contact KOP for professional podcast production, imaging, and web design services at http://www.kingofpodcasts.comSupport KOP by subscribing to his YouTube channel and search for King Of PodcastsFollow KOP on X or TikTok or LinkedIn @kingofpodcastsFind KOP's other programs, Podcasters Row… and the Wrestling is Real Wrestling Podcast and The Broadcasters Podcast at http://www.kingofpodcasts.comBuy KOP a Coffee https://buymeacoffee.com/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a PayPal https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=3TAB983ZQPNVLDrop KOP a CashApp https://cash.app/$kingofallpodcastsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/depraved-and-debaucherous--5267208/support.

Boom shakalaka! Dive into Ep 1,022 of The Clay Edwards Show, July 17, 2025 – 2 hrs of unfiltered reality radio with Clay Edwards firing on free speech, local scandals, & cultural clashes. Kicking off with a passionate defense of uncensored platforms amid AI de-ranking for taboo topics like COVID & crime. Local Roundup: Rudy Warnock's guilty verdict on corruption charges spirals into tragedy – post-trial car wreck & suicide attempt on I-20 near Pelahatchie. Clay unpacks the "victimless" white-collar crime, long federal sentences (20-50 yrs), & painful recovery ahead. Sympathy for family, but accountability stressed: "Nobody deserves that, but suicide isn't the way out." Breaking: Possible raid on Savannah Street – JPD activity, news crews; ties to roadblocks hunting escaped New Orleans prisoner Derek (last seen in MS). "They're doing cop stuff – welcome to the party!" FAFO Champ: Brandon block party shooting (June 21, Mary Miles Dr.) – city-permitted event turns deadly. Ryan Mosley (31) arrested for 1st-degree murder & felon w/ firearm after killing one, injuring another. "Don't go to parties needing a gun – rethink standards for permits!" Shrimp Scandal: Study reveals 30/44 Jackson-area spots serve imported shrimp despite "wild-caught" claims. Kudos to 14 authentic ones (e.g., Drago's, Half Shell, Shaggy's) – call for transparency under new MS labeling law. Immigration Truth Serum: Border chaos blamed on Dems' open policies; regrets good folks caught in crackdown. "No negative Hispanic interactions ever – hard workers, accountable. But illegal entry = crime; come through front door!" Obama's Masculinity Critique: Ex-prez urges men to get gay friends for empathy, share feelings, ditch provider roles, & embrace arts over sports. Clay fires back: "Already have gay alpha friends! This attacks manosphere – ironic from fragile Barry. Distinguish from LGBTQ agenda; assumptions offend conservatives." Epstein Ties: Listener nods to connections & suicides – "Weird how they're linked." Clay's Rants: Offense at sensitivity over words ("gay" as ball-busting, "retard" for stupidity – not targeting disabled). Stereotypes earned; force acceptance backfires (e.g., Redskins name – Indians want it back!). Raw, chaotic vibes on politics, culture, & accountability.

On this week's episode, Scotty and JP are back, and a league fantasy football league may be a stretch. The Randy Johnson Photography logo is awesome, and Scotty makes a dark joke that may have been a little too soon. Are museums overrated or underrated, and who of the two gas the worst temper? If women disappeared for 48 hours, what would you do, and what is the new slogan for Grindr? We have the stereotype draft (also may have crossed the line), and could you only eat your food off the ground? Enjoy another episode, and keep on laughing!
Boom shakalaka boom! You've just locked into the most explosive, unfiltered, reality-radio rollercoaster in the game – The Clay Edwards Show! Episode 1,021 blasts off on this glorious Hump Day, July 16, 2025, with your host Clay Edwards unleashing two hours of pure adrenaline-fueled truth bombs, cultural takedowns, and local lore that'll have you laughing, raging, and rethinking everything. If you're craving a show that shoots from the hip, dives down rabbit holes, and calls out the absurdities of modern life without a shred of apology, this is your jam. We're talking over-the-top rants, fresh segments, and stories so wild they'll make your head spin. Strap in, free-range humans – this ain't your grandma's talk radio; it's a cultural crusade for the soul of America! Kicking things off with Clay's signature flair, we dive straight into the evening vibes. Ever wondered why you're wasting nights on trash TV when you could be tuning into raw, interactive gold? Clay spills the beans on his nightly 8 PM live stream team-up with co-hosts Shawn and Lindsey – think uncensored debates, viewer-driven chaos, and yes, the occasional F-bomb (because real talk happens, folks). It's been pulling killer numbers, steering the ship with your comments, and hitting topics that daytime can't touch. No scripts, no filters – just pure engagement. If you've missed it, catch the replays on socials like @savejxn across platforms. Pro tip: It's fun, it's fiery, and it's way better than scripted drama. But hold up – Clay's shaking things up this week with structured segments to wrangle the chaos. Enter the Local Roundup, your daily dose of Mississippi madness, complete with the coveted FAFO Championship of the Day (that's "F'ed Around and Found Out" for the uninitiated). We're starting hot with Jackson's top cop, Chief Joseph Wade, dropping a bombshell proposal: a citywide ski mask ordinance! Picture this: young dudes cruising on bikes, shirtless in South Jackson heat, faces hidden behind "shystie masks." Clay breaks it down – it's terrifying for business owners, a nightmare for surveillance, and a direct counter to JPD's facial recognition tech. Wade's seen it firsthand: masked figures strolling into stores like it's no big deal. But Clay's all in – "I'm about this!" He circles back to the cultural roots: pre-COVID, masks meant robbery; post-COVID, criminals exploited the fear, turning face coverings into getaway gear. And don't get him started on the backlash – cries of "racism" or constitutional violations? Clay calls BS: "Screw your freedom of expression – you look like an idiot, and in a civilized society, masks scream trouble." He unpacks the hypocrisy: from early COVID myths (Black folks can't get it? Enter Idris Elba) to liberal overreactions, it's all Democrat "death culture" biting back. Honest take: When Clay sees a young Black guy in a mask indoors (and yeah, he notes it's rarely anyone else), his hand's on his gun – "You're not scared of COVID; you're up to no good." Outdoors in 90+ degree Mississippi heat? Same vibe. This segment's a masterclass in no-holds-barred observation, blending humor, frustration, and a plea for common sense. Segueing seamlessly, Clay ties in the hoodie epidemic – kids bundled up in summer swelter like it's a security blanket. "What is wrong with y'all?" he roars, sharing a social experiment from his Facebook post during last night's stream. Over 110 comments poured in: excuses from poor diets making kids "always cold" (nonsense, per Clay) to therapists claiming it feels "safe" amid absent parents (worst answer ever). Others nail it – concealed carry, weight loss attempts, or just hiding something shady. Clay's verdict: In 97-degree heat, a hoodie screams probable cause for a stop-and-frisk. "Sir, what are you trying to hide? Gun with a Glock switch? Pistol AR?" He contrasts it with cowboy boots and jeans – no threat there, no hand on the gun. Stereotypes? Earned, not given, shouts out to creator Antione Daniels for keeping it real. This rant spirals into personal quirks: Clay's a hot-natured beast, sleeping at 61 degrees with industrial fans blasting (DeWALT-level air movement, son!). It's hilarious, relatable, and a cultural gut-check on trends gone awry. Technical hiccups hit mid-show – signal issues force a switch to backup, but Clay keeps the energy high, appreciating texts from listeners. No downtime here; he resets and rolls on. Shoutout to the Rankin County Sheriff's Office for a heroic escort: rushing a young couple from Leake County to the hospital after her water broke near Madden. "Another good deed by our law enforcement community!" Clay stands firm on supporting good cops while calling out the bad – he's hammered the Goon Squad saga in 27+ episodes, interviewing journalist Jerry Mitchell who took it national. But balance? Nah: "I don't owe Jackson equality. I talk what I want – no pandering." It's a raw defense of his independence: exposing dope in Rankin to keep it safe, not to score points. In the FAFO spotlight, a massive drug bust crowns our champion: 42-year-old William Daniel Rogers from Brandon, nabbed in a multi-agency sting. Traffic stop uncovers 122 fentanyl pills; home raid reveals a narco treasure trove – 3.6 pounds of marijuana, 47 pounds of mushrooms, 152 M30 fentanyl pills, Oxy, Xanax, coke, heroin, meth, THC oils, vapes, gummies, jello shots, plus 19 firearms and 4 unregistered homemade suppressors. "You don't ride this dirty in Rankin and not win FAFO!" Clay quips, noting federal charges looming on those suppressors (echoing a recent guest chat). Bond at $100K, more charges pending – trace that fentanyl to deaths? Game over. It's a win for curbing overdose epidemics, with Clay warning: Fentanyl's this admin's hill to die on; Rankin ain't playing. Hour two ramps up with Around the State – wild tales from Mississippi's underbelly. First, a chaotic series in Adams County: Video surfaces of four white guys assaulting Black bicyclist Reginald Butler on a Deerfield Road bridge. It starts with a cigarette ask turning ugly (Clay questions motive – "Hard to believe it's that simple"). Butler flees, grabs a gun, returns; second clash ends with him shooting Cameron Talton (involved in the first fight), who gets airlifted. Butler bonds out; two others (including 21-year-old Houston Lee Priddy and a 16-year-old) face aggravated assault and conspiracy. Sheriff's probing hate crime angles with MBI/FBI. Clay unpacks: Self-defense? Nah – leaving and returning kills that claim. Race-baiting incoming (Ben Crump vibes), but questions abound: Why the bridge? Bathing suits? Motive? "Brace for impact – knowledge up!" Youth violence hits next: Columbia cops seize a Glock switch (turns semi-auto to full-auto) from an underage teen in a stolen-gun traffic stop. Chief Fortenberry laments: "We're losing our youth – kids have more firepower than us!" Illegal under new state law, it's a call to action against escalating threats. Wrapping with national intrigue: Epstein files drama. Clay dissects why Trump, Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, and Pam Bondi get heat – promises of declassification clash with hesitance over "phony stuff" from crooked intel (Russia hoax crew). Trump's point: Lists could ruin innocents. But Clay pushes: Release and investigate! Shoutouts to Marjorie Taylor Greene and Benny Johnson for demanding transparency despite risks. "Hold leaders accountable – that's America!" Episode 1,021 is Clay at his peak: Over 1,000 shows of chaos refined into segments, rants that assault sensibilities, and stories that demand action. From mask bans to massive busts, hoodies to hate crimes, it's a hump-day hurricane of honesty. Missed the live energy? Replay now – and join the 8 PM stream for more uncensored fire. Clay Edwards: Fighting cancel culture, one truth bomb at a time. Boom goes the dynamite!

David Waldman stares into the abyss of our next Trump weekend, but first, screams into the void of Trump Friday. Distinguished Professor and author Ian Reifowitz returns to KITM discuss his BRAND-NEW BOOK, “Riling Up the Base: Examining Trump's Use of Stereotypes through an Interdisciplinary Lens.” Buy this book, and not only will you be the hippest person on your beach, but you will also gain a thorough understanding of how Trump's use of stereotypes relating to immigration, race/ethnicity, and gender somehow keeps that jerk in power. Ian also argues that Democrats have drifted from Obama's unifying vision of America and need to reclaim Obama's inclusive, aspirational message to win again. Tom Homan reminds us that the less you look like Tom Homan, the higher your chance of having many bad things happen to you in the United States. With AI, you can look like anyone and say anything. Foreign leaders are under the mistaken impression that as long as their lips remain on Donald K. Trump's ass, they're safe. To Vietnam's surprise, Donald informed them they hadn't used enough tongue.

Clay shares fun, satirical stereotypes of Jackson metro areas generated by ChatGPT, poking fun at Flowood as a soulless strip mall escape, Brandon as a conservative haven obsessed with sports and smokers, Northeast Jackson as old-money denial, Ridgeland as suburban ambition with mall vibes, and Madison as HOA-strict perfection. You served with honor, but the moment you take off the uniform, a new challenge begins: the battle of perception. This week's Tactical Transition Tips takes aim at one of the most misunderstood parts of veteran and first responder transition: the stereotypes that follow you into the civilian workforce. Labels like “too rigid,” “aggressive,” or “unable to adapt” are often handed out before you even speak. But what if you could see those coming—and build a strategy to disarm them before they stick? In this episode, we break it down by timeline:• For the Close Range Group (those transitioning within a year), you'll learn how to reframe the narrative in interviews and conversations—turning perceived weaknesses into leadership assets.• For the Medium Range Group (those 3–5 years out), we explore how to gather feedback from civilian peers now, building a professional reputation rooted in emotional intelligence, not assumptions.• And for the Long Range Group (a decade or more away), we show you how to train against stereotypes early—building the identity you want before anyone can assign you one. This episode serves military veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, EMS professionals, Marines, soldiers, airmen, and sailors preparing for military transition, law enforcement retirement, or an unexpected career shift.Whether you're wearing the uniform or preparing to take it off, your oath to serve still stands—and this episode will help you carry it forward.Get additional resources and join our newsletter via the link in the show notes.CONNECT WITH THE PODCAST:IG: WEBSITE: LinkedIn: SIGN-UP FOR THE NEWSLETTER:QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS:Susan G. Send us a textIn this episode we discuss the stereotypes that Caribbean American women face in the workplace. Join us as we kick off with Deanna, a vibrant soca music party blogger, who dives into her experiences of how her Guyanese heritage often becomes a central topic at work. Contrastingly, Alysia, our returning guest, shares her decision to keep her West Indian background private in her predominantly white industry to avoid being exoticized. Together, we unravel how upbringing shapes the decision to share cultural identities, the pressures to conform, and the complex balance between personal and professional lives. What do assumptions like "All Caribbean people are Jamaican" or "Caribbean women work slowly" reveal about workplace misconceptions? Through personal anecdotes and real-life experiences, we dissect these biases and the distinct perceptions faced by Caribbean-born individuals versus American-born individuals of Caribbean descent. Alysia sheds light on the different challenges each group encounters, emphasizing the importance of maintaining professional integrity while navigating these preconceptions. This episode is packed with insights on how cultural diversity influences workplace dynamics and the subtle ways Caribbean colleagues communicate and bond over shared heritage.Whether you're a freelancer or navigating corporate America, embracing and expressing your cultural identity is crucial. We explore the importance of sharing traditions, fostering understanding among colleagues, and dealing with microaggressions. An unfiltered, sharp, and thought-provoking episode for anyone navigating life between cultures and countries – or just curious what it really means to “make it” abroad. Jacob and Gabriel sit down with American stand-up comedian Reginald Bärris, who's been living in Austria for over a decade. From crushing shows to culture shocks, and from navigating Austrian bureaucracy and it's people to dealing with European views on Americans – nothing is sugar-coated in this wide-ranging convo.Every day, it gets harder and harder to be an American living in Europe. Reginald explains what's behind that feeling – politically, personally and professionally. Why does it feel like Americans abroad are constantly judged? Why does he refuse to move back to the U.S.? Three things became very clear:— Being a foreigner doesn't get easier with time, it just gets more complex.— Europe loves to hate America – but also can't stop watching it.— And: It's hard to integrate when systems aren't made for you.And of course: Trump comes up. How could he not? From foreign policy to headlines – Reginald shares how it feels when your home country dominates the global news cycle... again.Highlights of the episode:
