We're recapping a recent Walt Disney World trip where we start with a big moment for longtime fans — one final ride on DINOSAUR at Disney's Animal Kingdom — sharing what it felt like to experience this attraction again and why it hit a little differently this time around. From there, we dive into Festival of the Arts for some updates at EPCOT while also taking a moment to pay tribute to Catherine O'Hara and her lasting impact. Along the way, we share what impressed us, what missed the mark, and what's actually worth your time (and appetite) on your next visit. We also spend time in Magic Kingdom soaking in some classic favorites — grabbing popcorn, stopping by Casey's Corner, and taking in the Starlight Parade — before doing what we somehow always end up doing and heading over to Disney Springs for Pizza Ponte and a scoop (or two) from Salt & Straw. Finally, we talk about staying off property once again — this time at TownePlace Suites Lake Buena Vista — and share honest thoughts on location, value, parking fees, included perks, and whether it makes sense compared to staying in the Disney bubble.

Gary and Selena drift through everyday chaos, aging, intimacy, and irritation as a casual conversation about colors turns into reflections on turning forty, gift expectations, and the strange emotional weight attached to birthdays. They talk massages, tipping anxiety, overpriced upgrades, sore feet, and the disappointment of hot stone add-ons that miss the point. Domestic tension bubbles up through broken heirlooms, cats causing destruction, and disagreements about emotional reactions, overreacting, and what it means to feel heard during conflict. The conversation slides into awkward neighborhood encounters, paranoia about being overheard, public embarrassment, and how small moments spiral into resentment. Gary and Selena unpack bickering, criticism, Reddit reactions, and the thin line between honest conversation and uncomfortable listening. Travel stress enters the mix with airline seating changes, gate checking chaos, lost seats, and feeling powerless while following instructions. The episode winds through bugs, grasshoppers, bodily discomfort, television fatigue, relationship negotiations, and the quiet realization that everyday life feels louder, messier, and harder to smooth out than expected.

There's something about being on a motorcycle that just feels right — in ways that are hard to explain, but easy to recognize. Not long ago on the show, cognitive scientist Mark Changizi, author of Motorcycle Mind, talked about how riding a motorcycle is unlike anything else we do, because the physics involved mean the bike responds directly to your body — your balance, your inputs, your movement — reacting instantly, almost like a hybrid of human and machine moving as one. That connection sharpens focus and pulls you fully into the moment, and according to Changizi, it can change how our brains process space, motion, and risk. Those changes don't necessarily stop when the bike is shut off, and for some people, riding becomes a place to return to — a way forward when other things aren't working, a focus when life is closing in — and that idea sits at the center of today's episode, as Rusty David shares his story. This episode contains a brief reference to suicide. Today's episode digs into one of the biggest challenges travel advisors face: the massive gap between what clients think a trip will be like and what the experience is actually going to be. Sean from Virgin Voyages joins Glenda to unpack how client perceptions are shaped long before they talk to an advisor—through clickbait videos, influencer reviews, social media drama, friends' stories, and those glossy marketing photos that never tell the full truth. We break down why assumptions are not facts, why advisors need to lead with real experience, and how understanding a client's mindset, anxieties, and sense of belonging can completely change the outcome of a sale. We talk openly about inclusivity, body confidence, and how often clients are really asking, “Will I fit in there?” even if they never say the words out loud. You'll hear how travel advisors can reclaim their role as the original “influencers” by sharing grounded, experience-based insights rather than reacting to the viral online noise. You'll also learn practical strategies for when a client asks for a specific cruise line, resort, or destination that you know isn't the right fit. We cover how to ask better questions, how to propose alternatives without sounding pushy, and how to shift the conversation from price to value. Because let's be honest, “too expensive” usually means “I don't see the value” or “I don't see myself there.” We also discuss the moments when it's not only okay but necessary to say, “I can't in good conscience book this for you,” and how those boundaries actually build long-term trust. Sean finishes with his top producer tips for selling more Virgin voyages: using advisor communities and tools, leaning into smart upgrades, following up consistently, selling the experience instead of the itinerary, and leading with Virgin's adult-only, inclusive, fun-forward vibe. If you're ready to shift from order-taker to trusted advisor, this episode gives you the language, confidence, and mindset to help clients choose the trip that truly matches who they are and how they want to feel when they travel. With travel on the calendar and meaningful work unfolding, we talk about what it looks like to tend the hearth when life is moving fast—and how the systems, relationships, and small comforts we build really do matter.Brooke is heading to Arkansas for an upcoming skills workshop, while also preparing for an interview with a reporter from WORLD Magazine. We reflect on what it means to steward both private life and public conversations with intention. From there, the conversation moves into home rhythms and support systems—how tools like shared calendars and simple home management structures can make a tangible difference, especially during seasons of solo parenting. We explore how these same dynamics show up in birth spaces too: trust, preparation, delegation, and knowing when to ask for help.We also touch on miscarriage recovery and the quiet power of community—how love can be held and felt even across long distances, and why being witnessed matters so deeply in loss. There's practical comfort here too: wool sheepskins on the bed, hot water bottles for rest and recovery, and the grounding presence of natural materials in the home.Mentioned in this episode:When the Day Comes: An Inspirational Colonial and Gilded Age-Era Time-Travel Historical Romance (Timeless)Natural Sheepskin Hot Water Bottle with Rubber InnerNatural sheepskin products + bespoke wool rugsThe publication Brooke is being interviewed for - https://wng.org/magazineOur private community → RSVP for the Hearthmother Journey Open House on February 16Connect:Email us to say hi: holywildbirth@gmail.comPut in a request for future topics and/or submit a question for future Q&A episodes: Fill out the formApply to tell your birth story on the podcast: Holy Wild Birth Podcast : Guest ApplicationHang out with us and other Holy Wild Women in our private community (off Facebook): Rooted in Eden PMABecome a holy, wild birthkeeper with us inside Hearthmother JourneyFrom Lauren:InstagramMidwifery consults: Email  rootedinedenpma@gmail.comFrom Brooke:InstagramTrust God, Trust Birth Workshop - a 5-part high-level roadmap to a confident home birth (pay what you can)Faith-Filled Home Birth Workshop - a free, 3-part video series delivered to your inboxEmbrace Birth Journey - comprehensive and holistic faith-based home birth preparation (courses + private community)Intro and Outra Music Credit -Betty Dear By Blue Dot Sessions is licensed under a Creative Commons License.

We sit down with Caryl Eve Delinko, author of A Woman's Guide to World Travel, to unpack how purpose-led planning makes travel deeply rewarding—especially for women considering solo adventures. What do you actually want from your trip? Whether it's tracing your ancestry, learning to cook regional dishes, studying music, or chasing landscapes, your why helps you choose your how—solo freedom, a trusted travel buddy, or an interest-driven group. Caryl highlights woman-friendly destinations with strong infrastructure and cultural openness—Thailand, Spain, Israel, Japan, Denmark, the Netherlands—and shares ways to navigate more complex regions through women-only hostel rooms, local rail options, and online communities that turn safety into solidarity.More tips: Caryl's keeps packing simple: neutral layers, multi-use pieces, and a compact medical kit with prescriptions in original containers. We dig into airline fees, the power of carry-on travel, and the truth that you can buy what you forgot—often better and cheaper—once you arrive. Ships can be a smart option at any age: onboard medical care, built-in security, and an unpack-once lifestyle that opens up new ports without the hassle.Solo travel gets special attention: how to meet people naturally, make dining alone feel purposeful, and turn restaurants into planning hubs. We map practical budget moves—museum free days, transit passes, street markets, and neighborhood lunches—and show how a few local phrases build instant rapport. We also go there on romance abroad, both the allure and the boundaries, and we share grounded safety tactics. You tell Siri to take notes on command, record audio directly inside Notes with native transcripts, and pull off smarter gestures in CarPlay Maps and iOS 26 Safari that feel hidden in plain sight. You tame the Camera side button, rename files faster from Finder and app toolbars, and generally remind yourself that small muscle-memory tweaks compound into real time saved. This is the kind of workflow polish that keeps you ahead instead of catching up. Then the conversation sharpens. You dig into why troubleshooting advice can be too eager to fix the wrong problem, unpack what “absolute mode” thinking really means, and react to Apple's acquisition moves and fresh AirTag releases. Listener questions take you into practical territory like grabbing a single frame from video, sharing iCloud calendars with Android users, and understanding how features get quietly “nerfed,” leading to Pilot Pete’s perfectly named Newly Effectuated Reduced Functionality. You wrap with Cool Stuff Found that spans Vision Pro accessories, immersive gaming, and travel-ready power. The throughline is clear: know what still works, notice what's been taken away, and adapt before it costs you time. Send us a textIn this episode, we are joined by Cheryl Boone Isaacs, a former Pan Am stewardess from 1972 to 1974 who went on to build an extraordinary career in Hollywood. Her journey is a remarkable one that spans aviation, Hollywood, and film education. She began her professional career as a Pan Am stewardess from 1972 to 1974, an experience that gave her a global perspective and a deep appreciation for storytelling and human connection. After leaving Pan Am, Cheryl moved to San Franscico where she held various jobs. However, she always thought about either going back into aviation or pursuing her dream of being in the film business inspired in part by her brother, Ashley Boone, a pioneering film executive. Learn more about Ashley here: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-features/he-was-star-wars-secret-weapon-why-was-he-forgotten-1275211/Through him, she attended an advanced screening of Star Wars before its release in May 1977. That moment proved transformational and solidified her belief that the motion picture industry was where she belonged. So, she packed her bags and moved to Hollywood. Over the decades that followed, Cheryl worked on the marketing, publicity, and release of some of the most iconic films in cinema history. Her credits include Forrest Gump, Titanic, The King's Speech, Braveheart, The Artist, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Right Stuff, Once Upon a Time in America, The Wedding Singer, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and Spider-Man 2. She also worked on two Indiana Jones films and five Star Trek films.Behind the scenes, Cheryl broke significant barriers. She became the first African American woman to lead a major studio marketing department at New Line Cinema, and later the first African American to serve as President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, where she guided the organization through a pivotal period of reflection and change.Today, she continues shaping the future of storytelling as the Founding Director and Professor of Practice at the Sidney Poitier New American Film School at Arizona State University (film.asu.edu). In that role, she mentors students and builds a program grounded in Sidney Poitier's legacy, emphasizing inclusion, leadership, and real-world industry experience. From the skies of Pan Am to Hollywood studios and now the classroom, Cheryl Boone Isaacs' career reflects a lifelong commitment to storytelling, leadership, and opening doors for future generations. Support the show Visit Us for more Pan Am History! The world is often defined by boundaries—lines on a map, walls of a classroom, or the rigid structures of a corporate office. But for those who choose to step across those lines, the world reveals itself not as a series of borders, but as a vast, living classroom. Joining us today are two extraordinary women who have collectively set foot on all seven continents, explored 88 countries, and crossed off every single one of the 50 U.S. states.   Evelyn Kelly is a true polymath.
