Nearly 16.4 million Americans served in the U.S. Armed Forces in World War II, and for millions of survivors, the fighting left many of them physically and mentally broken for life. There was a 25% death rate in Japanese POW camps like Bataan, where starvation and torture were rampant, and fierce battles against suicidal Imperial Japanese forces, like at Iwo Jima, where 6,800 Americans died. Additionally, the psychological toll of witnessing Holocaust atrocities and enduring up to three years away from home intensified the war’s brutality. This is why when they returned home, they had physical and psychological wounds that festered, sometimes for years, sometimes for decades, and sometimes for the rest of their lives. Veterans suffering from recurring nightmares, uncontrollable rages, and social isolation were treated by doctors who had little understanding of PTSD, a term that didn’t enter the DSM until 1984. Returning veterans and their families were forced to double up with their parents or squeeze into overcrowded, substandard shelters as the country wrestled with a housing crisis. Divorce rates doubled, with more than 1 million GIs leaving or being left by their wives by 1950. Alcoholism was rampant, and an entire generation became addicted to smoking. To explore this dark shadow that hung over the WW2 generation, we’re joined by David Nasaw, author of The Wounded Generation: Coming Home After World War II. Those affected include the period’s most influential political and cultural leaders, including John F. Kennedy, Robert Dole, and Henry Kissinger; J. D. Salinger and Kurt Vonnegut; Harry Belafonte and Jimmy Stewart. We look at the ways the horrors of World War 2 shaped their lives, but we also see incredible resilience and those who found ways to move past the horrors of their wartime experiences, and what we can learn from that today.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Those who lament that the young generation of today doesn't bother to learn history, here is some relief. When I saw him, I was surprised to see how young Quin was and how much enthusiasm and interest he has for this topic. It's refreshing to hear all this old history we're all familiar with recounted by those born in this century. We focused on the rise and fall of Japan's Kwantung Army 关东军. They've been blamed for the Mukden Incident and a whole cavalcade of atrocities committed against the Chinese people during the 1930s and 40's. In this interview, you'll get a very clear explanation of how everything unfolded. You could have heard this episode months ago (and without commercials). Robert McNamara Thought Enough Data Could Win Any War. Instead, It Led America to the Vietnam Quagmire

Robert S. McNamara, who was Secretary of Defense during JFK and LBJ’s administrations, and one of the chief architects of the Vietnam war, made a shocking confession in his 1995 memoir. He said “We were wrong, terribly wrong.” McNamara believed this as early as 1965, that the Vietnam War was unwinnable. Yet, instead of urging U.S. forces to exit, he continued to preside over the war as President Lyndon B. Johnson’s principal wartime advisor. It would be eight more years until the United States officially withdrew from Vietnam. By then, 58,000 Americans and millions of Vietnamese had lost their lives. Why did McNamara fight so hard to escalate a war that he’d soon realize was beyond winning? Why was he so loyal to LBJ, whom he’d later describe as “crude, mean, vindictive, scheming, and untruthful”? While these questions are personal, the answers are vital to our understanding of the Vietnam War and American foreign policy at large. Today’s guest is Philip Taubman, author of “McNamara Wat War: A New History.” We look at McNamara’s early life and how he epitomized the 20th-century technocratic 'whiz kid' through his Harvard-honed data analysis skills, which he applied to optimize the firebombing of Tokyo during WWII and later revolutionized Ford Motor Company as president, using statistical efficiency to drive innovation. His technocratic approach shaped U.S. strategy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War, where he relied on data-driven decision-making, though with mixed results, notably escalating Vietnam based on flawed metrics like body counts. We look at how ultimately, McNamara’s war was not only in Vietnam. He was also at war with himself—riven by melancholy, guilt, zealous loyalty, and a profound inability to admit his flawed thinking about Vietnam before it was too late.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this short podcast episode, Bryan explains how duct tape got its name and why it shouldn't actually be used on ducts. Duct tape is a versatile home DIY-fix tool, but despite its name, it wasn't initially made to seal ducts at all. In 1943, we were in the thick of World War II, and ammo shipments were sealed with wax and paper tape. These were often not durable or difficult to open. Johnson & Johnson developed a tape with rubber adhesive on a cotton duck cloth backing (which was already widely used for military uniforms and tent fabrics). This new tape was nicknamed "duck" tape due to the material and its waterproof abilities (like the waterfowl). A woman named Vesta Stoudt informed President FDR about duct tape, and the War Production Board began using it in wartime supply packaging. After the war, America had a housing boom in the 1950s, which included the demand for forced-air heating and cooling systems. Marketers thought the tape could seal the ducts in those homes, so they changed the color to match sheet metal and rebranded it as "duct tape." In the 1960s, this tape was available in retail outlets with the "duct tape" branding. Unfortunately, in tests by the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, duct tape failed miserably at sealing the ducts because the rubber adhesive dries out under heat, and dust weakens the adhesive. As a result, many building codes ban duct tape on ducts (spearheaded by California). Instead, UL-listed foil tape and mastic are approved for sealing ducts. However, duct tape still became famous for its versatility as a patching material. It's prevalent in pop culture and has been used in television shows and even in space.   Have a question that you want us to answer on the podcast? The worlds of a young Canadian immigrant, an Italian pasta-making family, and a 70-year-old survivor of the Armenian Genocide converge in this story of the San Francisco Treat.A Canadian woman, Lois DeDomenico, marries an Italian immigrant, Tom DeDomenico, whose family founded Golden Grain Macaroni in San Francisco. Just after WWII, the newlyweds rent a room from an elderly Armenian woman, Pailadzo Captanian, who teaches the young, pregnant, 18-year-old Lois how to cook — including how to make yogurt, baklava, and pilaf.During those hours in the kitchen, the old Armenian woman tells Lois the story of her life — her forced trek from Turkey to Syria, leaving her two young sons with a Greek family, her husband's murder, the birth of her baby along the way (his name means “child of pain”), the story of the genocide. Mrs. Captanian shows Lois a book she wrote shortly after her experiences — one of the only eyewitness accounts written at the time. Most survivor accounts were published 30–40 years later. Hers was published in 1919 for the Paris Peace Talks, in hopes that it would help provide context for the establishment of an Armenian state.Years after the DeDomenicos move away from Mrs. Captanian's home, Tom's brother is having dinner at the young couple's house. He looks down at the pilaf Lois made and says, “This would be good in a box.” They name it Rice-A-Roni.

Believing the Bizarre: Paranormal Conspiracies & Myths

The Montauk Project | Paranormal Podcast In this episode, we dive deep into one of the most controversial conspiracy theories in paranormal history—the Montauk Project. We start by exploring the very real Camp Hero military base located on the easternmost tip of Long Island in Montauk, New York, which operated from World War II through the Cold War era. Originally disguised as a quaint fishing village to fool German U-boats, the base later housed a massive 90-foot radar tower that remains standing today as the only survivor of twelve similar installations. After the base was officially abandoned in 1981 and later transferred to the National Park Service, strange stories began to emerge. We introduce Preston Nichols, an electrical engineer who claims to have discovered his own repressed memories of working on secret experiments at the facility, and Duncan Cameron, a gifted psychic who mysteriously knew intimate details about the base despite claiming he'd never been there before. We then explore the disturbing allegations at the heart of the Montauk Project conspiracy, which include mind control experiments, time travel research, and the abuse of thousands of children in underground tunnels beneath the base. According to Nichols and Cameron's recovered memories, the project involved a device called the "Montauk Chair" that could amplify psychic abilities to manifest physical objects, open portals through time and space, and even conjure creatures from thin air. We discuss the project's alleged connections to the Philadelphia Experiment, MK-Ultra's documented mind control programs, and theories involving alien collaboration.

This week, Seth Paridon and Jon Parshall welcome their mutual buddy, John McManus to the show to discuss the role of the US Army at Pearl Harbor. Everyone knows what the Navy and Marine Corps did and went through during the Japanese attack on Oahu, but do you know the role of the US Army? Tune in to this episode and you will find out. The guys get into such topics as the Coast Artillery, Army AAA during the raid, individual heroics, attacks on Schofield Barracks and Fort Shafter as well as the role of US Army doctors and nurses in treating the legions of wounded as a result of the attack. Finally, the guys get into a rare "what if" when they discuss what would have happened if the Japanese had actually tried to land on Oahu following the air raid. Interesting to say the least. GDP Script/ Top Stories for November 4th Publish Date: November 4th PRE-ROLL: From the BG AD Group Studio Welcome to the Gwinnett Daily Post Podcast. Today is Tuesday, November 4th and Happy Birthday to Puff Daddy I’m Peyton Spurlock and here are your top stories presented by KIA Mall of Georgia. Gas South District to host Gwinnett Glows tree lighting event Dacula teen and Gwinnett business owner join forces to spread warmth and hope this winter Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Luzia’ offers a dreamlike escape All of this and more is coming up on the Gwinnett Daily Post podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen daily and subscribe! Break 1: 07.14.22 KIA MOG STORY 1: Gas South District to host Gwinnett Glows tree lighting event The Gas South District is kicking off the holiday season with its annual tree lighting on Nov. 21, right in front of the Gas South Convention Center. “Gwinnett Glows,” presented by Amazon, runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and is totally free. Expect food trucks, live entertainment, and all the festive vibes. Oh, and hot cocoa—because what’s a tree lighting without it? They’re also teaming up with Rainbow Village to help families in need. Bring a gift to donate to their Amazon Christmas Wishlist, or donate online if you can’t make it. What else? Handmade crafts, photo ops with the Pink Pig, and performances by local choirs. It’s going to be magical. STORY 2: Dacula teen and Gwinnett business owner join forces to spread warmth and hope this winter   Fifteen-year-old Caden Jackson from Dacula High isn’t your average teenager. For the past decade—yes, since he was five—he’s been collecting coats, hats, gloves, and scarves to help kids stay warm in the winter. Through his nonprofit, Loved & Protected, he’s handed out nearly 9,000 pieces of winter gear to those in need. This year, he’s teaming up with Millie Habtemariam, owner of Full Circle Salon & Spa Suites in Suwanee, for the Winter Warmth Drive 2025. Their goal? Collect 5,000 coats, hats, and gloves by Dec. 31. Habtemariam’s salon is a drop-off spot, and she’s even giving donors a free “manifest candle” she makes herself. For Caden, it’s all about the joy. “Seeing kids’ faces light up when they get a new coat—it’s amazing,” he said. Caden’s dream? To take Loved & Protected nationwide. For more info, visit lovedandprotected.org or fullcirclecandle.com STORY 3: Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Luzia’ offers a dreamlike escape   Olivia Aepli and Terrance Jr. Robinson may be relatively new to Cirque du Soleil’s touring family, but they’re no strangers to the grind of life on the road. So, the chance to stay put for a while? They’re loving it. Both performers are part of “Luzia,” Cirque’s stunning “waking dream of Mexico,” running at Atlantic Station from Nov. 6 to Jan. 25. That’s over 50 shows in one spot—an absolute luxury for these road warriors. “Luzia” is Aepli’s first Cirque show, and she’s living her childhood dream. She plays the running woman, performs swing-to-swing, hoop diving, and even pole dancing. Robinson, a Cirque veteran, appears as a hummingbird and also performs hoop diving and acropole. For tickets, visit cirquedusoleil.com/luzia. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.874.3200 for more info. We’ll be right back Break 2: Ingles Markets 1 STORY 4: Parkview Grad Matt Olson Wins Third Gold Glove Award Parkview grad Matt Olson just added another piece of hardware to his already impressive career. On Sunday night, the Atlanta Braves’ first baseman snagged the Rawlings Gold Glove Award for the National League—his third overall. Olson beat out Bryce Harper and Spencer Steer for the honor, which was announced live on ESPN. He’s no stranger to this award, having won two Gold Gloves back in 2018 and 2019 with the Oakland A’s. This season? Olson was a rock. He played all 162 games, made just five errors in nearly 1,300 chances. Oh, and he’s now only the second Braves first baseman to win a Gold Glove, joining Freddie Freeman. Drafted straight out of high school by Oakland in 2012, Olson’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable. And now, he’s cementing his legacy with his hometown team. STORY 5: Lawrenceville may add more downtown parking near square If you’ve ever circled downtown Lawrenceville looking for a parking spot—especially during an event at the Lawrenceville Lawn—there might be some relief on the horizon. Maybe. The city just bought two properties on South Perry Street, near the AutoZone, for a combined $835,000. What’s the plan? Well, that’s still up in the air. Assistant City Manager Barry Mock hinted at a possible parking lot, saying the southwest side of downtown could use more spaces. But City Manager Chuck Warbington isn’t ruling out redevelopment either. Meanwhile, the city also snagged a truck repair shop on Reid Street for $300,000. It’s been there for decades, but officials want to “clean up” the area and hold the property for future redevelopment. As for the AutoZone? No plans to buy it—yet. Break 3: STORY 6: Gwinnett's Co-ops bracing for increased demand as SNAP benefits end Jackie Wells Smith, director of the Lilburn Co-op, says they’ve seen a steady uptick in families seeking help, especially seniors and working parents who rely on food stamps to make ends meet. “For these families, losing SNAP is like losing a paycheck,” she said. Other co-ops, like Southeast Gwinnett and North Gwinnett, are scrambling too. North Gwinnett is shifting to a twice-a-month food distribution model to manage demand. Gwinnett County is stepping in with $250,000 to help co-ops handle the surge, but the need is overwhelming. “We’re planning for a 25% increase,” Smith said, “but honestly, I think it’ll be more.” Donations of food, hygiene items, and money are desperately needed. Co-ops are asking the community to step up—because the families coming through their doors have no other options. STORY 7: Aurora Theatre ready to celebrate 30 years of Christmas Canteen Thanksgiving’s still weeks away, but the Aurora Theatre? They’re already decking the halls. Their beloved holiday tradition, *Christmas Canteen*, returns Nov. 28 through Dec. 21, and this year’s show promises something extra special: a horn section joining the orchestra for the first time. Think big, brassy, and festive. Now in its 30th season, *Christmas Canteen* is a high-energy mix of dazzling dance, laugh-out-loud comedy, and music that’ll stick in your head long after the curtain falls. But this year’s show is bittersweet—it’s the final one under the musical direction of Ann-Carol Pence, Aurora’s co-founder. What started in 1996 as a WWII-era tribute has grown into a multigenerational tradition, blending Big Band nostalgia with modern carols, comedy, and heartfelt moments. Tickets are on sale now at auroratheatre.com. Don’t wait—this one’s a holiday must-see. At first glance, the sequel to the zombie movie 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later is not an obvious pick for a podcast about Arthurian movies. However, after watching a few minutes, it's fairly evident that the movie isn't just a commentary on post-Brexit Britain, the weaponization of nostalgia, and the dangers of Little Englanders, it's playing with all of British history, from the end of its place as part of the Roman Empire--an end that leads to the creation of the Arthurian legend--to the Viking incursions, to the Henry V, the rise and fall of the British Empire, World War II, and the decrepit ruling class that protected monsters like Jimmy Savile and Prince Andrew. Beyond that, it's a meditation on death and compassion, one which asks us to, as the Latin phrase goes, memento mori. Starring Alfie Williams, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes, Edvin Rydig, Jack O'Connell, and Chi Lewis-Parry. Written by Alex Garland. Directed by Danny Boyle.   This is a preview of the latest episode of our series Hollywood Avalon. In today's thought-provoking deep dive, Tom Bilyeu explores one of the most pressing questions of our time: Has America fallen behind, and should we take a page from China's playbook to catch up? Drawing on history—from America's industrial feat during World War II to the rise of China as a global manufacturing powerhouse—he examines the economic, political, and military collision course between these two nations. Tom Bilyeu breaks down the complexities and trade-offs of free market capitalism versus the efficiency (and risks) of a command economy, unpacking how government intervention shapes innovation, competition, and even your investment portfolio. He traces America's journey from rapid-growth freedom to managing decline through increased regulation and central planning, warning of the pitfalls of excessive government control. The Fracture of Reagan's First Marriage, Hollywood's Red Scare, and the Appearance of Nancy Davis. Max Boot discusses the marriage between Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman, which was considered an "odd combination." Wyman was drawn to Reagan because he was a "nice guy" and a "white knight," though Reagan was "very hard to get to commit." By the eve of World War II, Reagan was professionally ascending, but the war derailed his commercial film career as he spent the entire conflict in Hollywood making training and propaganda films. When the war ended, there was diminished demand for his services, while Jane Wyman's career soared after the war. Reagan became increasingly active in the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and Hollywood politics, still an "idealistic liberal" and New Dealer, while Wyman became uninterested in politics, leading them to drift apart. The political climate was dominated by Congress's search for communists in Hollywood. Reagan served as the unpaid president of SAG and navigated the "treacherous politics" of the McCarthy era skillfully, appearing liberal when testifying before HUAC while quietly acting as an FBI informant. Jane Wyman initiated the divorce in 1948, shocking Reagan and leaving him adrift. Nancy Davis then entered his life, leading to a marriage that made sense, as Nancy wanted to be a wife and mother and threw herself into the role of the "perfect wife." Reagan needed a strong woman, and Nancy became absolutely integral to his career advancement, acting as a shrewd political figure who often handled hiring and firing.

The Road to Goldwater: Ronald Reagan's Conservative Conversion via General Electric and His Confrontational Governorship. Max Boot discusses how Ronald Reagan found great success in television, hosting the General Electric Theater and earning substantial income while mixing with corporate leadership in the 1950s and early 1960s. Reagan transitioned politically from being an avid New Dealer and FDR supporter to supporting the early Republican conservative movement, particularly Barry Goldwater. Boot argues that Reagan changed, not the Democratic Party, as his transformation began in World War II when he resented paying income taxes at a 90% rate. His political shift was completed in the 1950s during his time as a spokesman for General Electric, where he used long train rides to read conservative literature. In 1964, Reagan's debut on the national political stage came when the Goldwater campaign bought half an hour of air time for Reagan to deliver "A Time for Choosing," which became known simply as "the speech." In 1966, Reagan decided to run for governor against incumbent Pat Brown. During his tenure, particularly the People's Park demonstrations in 1969, Reagan adopted a confrontational stance, using hardline rhetoric and giving student radicals the confrontation they desired, though this approach was politically successful. Reagan was a devoted supporter of Richard Nixon, even backing him during Watergate, though Nixon held little respect for Reagan. Reagan ran hard for the presidency in 1976 and 1980.

    2. LONDINIUM 91 CE. Seven Warnings, Part II. The conversation continued with Germanicus detailing the remaining maxims, noting that the United States seems to follow this list of strategic errors as if it were a program. (5) Never think "it will never happen to us"—this belief stems from American exceptionalism, the idea that the US is superior because "democracy makes us smarter." The shameful US withdrawal from Afghanistan was cited as a major instance of this failure, especially when contrasted with the Soviet withdrawal, which was conducted with dignity and left a regime that lasted three more years. The US, believing itself to be the "gods of war" after World War II, relied on the myth of technological superiority, a mindset preserved even in the proxy war in Ukraine where elites underestimated Russia based on GDP. The danger of biased judgment (Maxim 4) was re-emphasized through the Korean War, where the US despised the Chinese, who ultimately defeated the US in a strategic campaign. The Chinese military adapted to American fire with unconventional tactics, overwhelming US lines, a capability the US disallowed because it viewed the enemy as a "lesser force." This mindset gives a gift to the enemy, allowing them to rely on US unpreparedness (e.g., letting Russians build vast fortifications in Ukraine). (6) Never follow a strategic course of action that makes your enemy stronger—this requires understanding the enemy's source of strength (like the morale and spirit of the Taliban), which the US often fails to attack. The speakers applied this warning to potential US intervention in Venezuela, which is being encouraged by the opposition. The strategy of using overwhelming air power and insufficient ground forces—bombing them into submission—will fail and only make the enemy stronger. Insufficient tactics like leadership decapitation, even if inspired by Israeli actions, will not succeed if the enemy army chooses to resist. The centurions noted that the Romans consistently avoided one mistake: forgiving the enemy.

The film Nuremberg, to be released November 7th, 2025 is an American drama written, co-produced and edited by James Vanderbilt. It is based on the 2013 book, THE NAZI AND THE PSYCHIATRIST by Jack El Hai..In 1945, after his capture at the end of the Second World War, Hermann Göring arrived at an American-run detention center in war-torn Luxembourg, accompanied by sixteen suitcases and a red hatbox. The suitcases contained all manner of paraphernalia: medals, gems, two cigar cutters, silk underwear, a hot water bottle, and the equivalent of 1 million in cash. Hidden in a coffee can, a set of brass vials housed glass capsules containing a clear liquid and a white precipitate: potassium cyanide. Joining Göring in the detention center were the elite of the captured Nazi regime. Grand Admiral Dönitz; armed forces commander Wilhelm Keitel and his deputy Alfred Jodl; the mentally unstable Robert Ley; the suicidal Hans Frank; the pornographic propagandist Julius Streicher. Fifty-two senior Nazis in all, of whom the dominant figure was Göring. To ensure that the villainous captives were fit for trial at Nuremberg, the US army sent an ambitious army psychiatrist, Captain Douglas M. Kelley, to supervise their mental well-being during their detention. Kelley realized he was being offered the professional opportunity of a lifetime: to discover a distinguishing trait among these arch-criminals that would mark them as psychologically different from the rest of humanity. So began a remarkable relationship between Kelley and his captors, told here for the first time with unique access to Kelley's long-hidden papers and medical records.Kelley's was a hazardous quest, dangerous because against all his expectations he began to appreciate and understand some of the Nazi captives, none more so than the former Reichsmarshall, Hermann Göring. Evil had its charms.Joining me to discuss, NUREMBERG and the book the film is based on THE NAZI AND THE PSYCHIATRIST: Hermann Goring, Dr. Douglas M. Robert S. McNamara was widely considered to be one of the most brilliant men of his generation. He was an invaluable ally of Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson as their secretary of defense, and he had a deeply moving relationship with Jackie Kennedy. But to the country, McNamara was the leading advocate for American escalation in Vietnam. He strongly advised Johnson to deploy hundreds of thousands of American ground troops, just weeks before concluding that the war was unwinnable, and for the next two and a half years McNamara failed to urge Johnson to cut his losses and withdraw. Join us to hear Philip and William Taubman examine McNamara's life of intense personal contradictions—from his childhood, his career as a young faculty member at Harvard Business School, and his World War II service, to his leadership of the Ford Motor Company and the World Bank. They had access to materials previously unavailable to McNamara biographers, including Jacqueline Kennedy's warm letters to McNamara; family correspondence dating back to McNamara's service in World War II; and a secret diary maintained by McNamara's top Vietnam policy aide. What emerges is a comprehensive story of the controversial former leader of the Pentagon: riven by melancholy, guilt, zealous loyalty, and a profound inability to admit his flawed thinking about Vietnam before it was too late. The Taubmans relate this story in McNamara at War, presenting a portrait of a man at war with himself―with a grave influence on the history of the United States and the world. Robert Kurtz, who died when Jim was just 2 years old.   All Jim knew of his father was that he was a bomber pilot in the European theater during WWII.  And because of his mother's grief, most of the details of Jim's father's life remained a mystery.   It would take Jim more than fifty years to learn essential details about this devoted father and husband… and unexpected hero. "The Green Box," narrated by Martin Sheen, weaves together Jim's efforts to piece together the emerging picture of his father's life, vividly telling a story that is war chronicle, romance, mystery and personal reflection.    "The Green Box: At The Heart of War" will air on Boston's PBS station, 'GBH on November 4 at 4:00pm and on 'GBH World on November 8.  The film's release is timed to coincide with Veteran's Day and will air across the country on PBS stations between throughout November in commemoration of the upcoming 80th anniversary of the end of WWII.   Making Media Now is sponsored by Filmmakers Collaborative, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting media makers from across the creative spectrum. In 1941, amid the blistering sands of North Africa, a band of Australian soldiers earned one of the most enduring nicknames in military history — The Rats of Tobruk. Besieged by German and Italian forces, these men held the Libyan port town of Tobruk for eight gruelling months, defying the odds, the desert, and the propaganda of the Axis powers. What began as an insult from Nazi radio became a badge of honour. The Australians dug in — literally — carving homes and defenses from the desert rock while withstanding relentless shelling and attacks. Their courage, defiance, and larrikin spirit turned Tobruk into a symbol of Australian resilience under fire.In this episode, we dig into the siege that defined a generation, the humour that kept the Rats going, and the legacy that cemented their place as one of the fiercest fighting forces of the Second World War.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/weird-crap-in-australia--2968350/support.

There are these podcasters with big companies and foreign money behind them who haven't contributed anything to the country. Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens and Nick Fuentes haven't done anything for the country, merely grifting for profit. Those with microphones must speak out and uphold integrity, honesty, and confront poisonous ideologies—left or right—that threaten the country, the culture and the party. Jews and Christians are under attack from these podcasters. Carlson is part of the enemy within. Zohran Mamdani's rise for New York City mayor was meticulously engineered by George Soros cash and socialist groups. They've been grooming him for 10 years. This model extends nationwide, propelling similar candidates like Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud and Virginia Lt. Governor candidate Ghazala Hashmi. Israel does not control President Trump, nor has it controlled any past president. Israel is not "ethnic" cleansing, that would be the motivations and intentions of the Islamist terrorists -- throughout the Middle East and Africa. The multiple and unprecedented steps it has taken to try to limit casualties, at the cost of IDF soldiers' lives and increasing the longevity of the war in Gaza, is no secret, and we were not ethnic cleansing when we destroyed multiple population centers in Europe and Japan during World War II.
