Roosevelt signed the Banking Act of 1933 into law—a pivotal piece of Depression-era legislation better known by the names of its congressional architects: Senator Carter Glass and Representative Henry Steagall. The law's timing was not accidental; it came just months after the catastrophic banking failures that had shuttered thousands of banks and evaporated public trust in the financial system. At its core, the act sought to restore that trust through structural reform, not just emergency patchwork.The most well-known feature of the law was the creation of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), which for the first time guaranteed Americans' bank deposits up to a set amount. This singular policy innovation helped stem the tide of bank runs and brought stability to the retail banking sector almost overnight.But the law went further. In what became known as the Glass–Steagall provisions, it imposed a formal separation between commercial banking and investment banking. The initiative, described by Trump as the "single largest Mass Deportation Program in History," comes amid widespread protests and legal opposition. Trump framed the policy as necessary to remove "millions" of undocumented migrants but also pledged to soften its impact on sectors like agriculture and hospitality, which rely heavily on immigrant labor.ICE is now arresting roughly 2,000 undocumented individuals daily, a significant increase from the Biden administration's rates. The $50,000 project, set to finish next week, aims to prevent U-turns that have caused accidents and traffic issues. The median will allow only left turns off Fairground Street, with 200 feet of median and 115 feet of curb being installed. Signage will alert drivers to the changes, ensuring smoother and safer traffic flow. STORY 2: Attempted Carjacking Suspect Held at Gunpoint by Civilian, Arrested in Marietta A carjacking suspect, Rico Riley, was arrested in Marietta after a witness, Gary Edwards, intervened and held him at gunpoint. Riley allegedly attempted to steal two cars at a Chevron gas station on Franklin Gateway. He first fought a woman for her car keys, then tried to carjack a second vehicle with a family inside. Edwards intervened both times, ultimately detaining Riley until police arrived. Riley faces multiple felony charges, including attempted armed robbery and child cruelty, and is held without bond. Marietta Police commend Edwards but urge witnesses to prioritize safety and call 911 in such situations. STORY 3: Kennesaw’s Salute to America is July 3 Kennesaw's annual Independence Day celebration, **Salute to America**, takes place July 3 from 6–10 p.m. in downtown Kennesaw. The free event features live music, food vendors, family activities, and a fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m. Performances include Tripp’n at 6 p.m., Girls Night Out at 7 p.m., and Guardians of the Jukebox at 8 p.m. Kids can enjoy ticketed inflatables, and food and drinks will be available for purchase. Reserved seating is $20, with reservations at kennesawjuly3.com. Tobacco and e-cigarettes are prohibited, and the event may be rescheduled for bad weather. Married to Alpharetta resident Richard Landin, she fled gang violence in Colombia and sought asylum last year, though her initial request was denied and is under appeal. ICE detained her in May, citing an issue with her ankle monitor, despite it functioning properly. Her bond was granted after a delayed hearing, with the judge convinced of her sincerity and low flight risk. The couple, unable to fly due to her lack of ID, is driving back to Georgia, relieved to reunite.     A Prior “Independence Day Devotional” as We Prepare to Celebrate Again - We Must Have a Great Spiritual Awakening that Returns America to God MESSAGE SUMMARY: Will you "Stand in the Gap" and participate in a Great Awakening and Spiritual Renewal in America? The signers of the Declaration of Independence, in 1776, began a revolution which led to the formation of the United States of America. This Revolution was rooted in the belief that all people are subject to the rule of God, even the King; and leaders are not above man's law or God's Law. Also, everyone is endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights. Many people have tried to deny that America's founders created a country which wove together the concept of self-governance with Christian principles. Now, it appears the focus, of many political and church leaders, is to eliminate ideas, laws, policies, and objects that relate America to Christianity, the Bible, or anything that smacks of God. Today, this focus away from God is succeeding. We all need to hear what our founders said regarding America's Christian base. Not long after the enactment of the Constitution in the late 1700s, morality and church attendance declined drastically into a Spiritual Depression. The answer to this 1700s turn away from God became the nationwide implementation of "Concerts of Prayer", across all Christian denominations, which led to an American Spiritual Awakening. Today, through our actions, laws, and cultural revisions of our founding Christian principles, we have told God that we do not want Him around. Therefore, we must consider what God said He would do and what He has done in the past when people have turned away from Him, as told in Psalms 2:1-2,5,10-12: “Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed . . . Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying . . .  Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.". In the past, as indicated in Psalms 2, God has withdrawn His presence, including His protection and divine wisdom, when people have turned away from Him. God's presence has guided America for so many years, and the withdrawal of God's presence in America would leave us to reap the consequences of our focus away from Him. Also, consider what the Lord said, in Ezekiel 22:30-31: "And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none. Therefore, I have poured out my indignation upon them. I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath. I have returned their way upon their heads, declares the Lord God.”. However, in Zechariah 1:3 and in many other promises throughout the Bible, God says to his people in the past and to us today: “Therefore say to them, Thus declares the LORD of hosts: ‘Return to me', says the LORD of hosts, ‘and I will return to you', says the LORD of hosts.". Will you "Stand in the Gap”, on behalf of your country, to participate in and lead a Great Awakening and Spiritual Renewal in America by returning America to God? We must have a Spiritual Awakening to return America to God.     TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, I come this day inviting you to cut those deeply entrenched chains that keep me from being faithful to my true self in Christ.     Over the years we have discussed the selective and predictive programming in music, movies, television, etc., in regard to everything from UFOs to human trafficking and child abuse. The movie Independence Day, released July 3, 1996, seemed to predict the appearance of a city-sized UFO, which manifested in Phoenix as the infamous ‘Phoenix Lights' on March 13, 1997. The movie Nope seemed to predict the shooting down of objects over Alaska, Canada, and Lake Huron, one of which had “strings hanging off” of it like in the movie UFO. Movies like Spotlight and the Sound of Freedom show us the underbelly of sexual abuse and trafficking. During the pandemic the top movies were Contagion, 28 Days Later, and 12 Monkeys. A 2022 Netflix film called White Noise, about a train carrying toxic chemicals derailing in a small Ohio town, was brought to life when on February 3, 2023, a train carrying toxic chemicals derailed in the same town, East Palestine, Ohio, which was used for filming the movie crash. M. Night Shyamalan's Knock at the Cabin did something similar with plane crashes and earthquakes. In fact, the movie was released on the day of the Ohio train wreck, February 3rd. The next day a FedEx cargo plane almost landed on a commercial Southwest flight. A week later an American Airlines flight ran into a bus on the taxiway. A few days later a report came out about a United Airlines flight that fell 1,400ft out of the sky after take off from Hawaii. Long after the movie was shot, but before release, two other planes almost collided at JFK and before that the NOTAM system went down grounding flights nationwide. In the middle of all this, three days after the movie release, a massive 7.8 earthquake rocked Turkey and opened up an enormous chasm in the earth. The movie ends with fire beginning to engulf the earth, a prelude to the upcoming movie Oppenheimer. These are themes also in the upcoming Dune 2 and Fallout tv adaption. The new Wes Anderson movie Asteroid City is now setting the stage, literally, for an excepted flop and expected hit, i.e. the Barbie movie and Oppenheimer, both set to be released on July 21, 2023. Asteroid City is really a movie about a play, wherein the actors and audience move in-between sets, between what is real and what is staged. In Asteroid City there are quarantines, aliens, doorways between worlds, and in the background atomic bombs, disassociate from reality. In the Barbie movie promos the character stands within a mirror. The backdrops and sets are also similar, even in the pastel-like colors, to the Barbie movie, which is obviously about Barbie Land and how dolls with no human essence journey into the world of humans. In one scene there are two X's stacked on top of each other, perhaps signifying the XX chromosomes of women, of which Barbie does not have. She is plastic, a doll, and not real. The point is that in a fake world the only thing that matters is the mask and outward appearance, and thus one can be a man or woman by choice. Also, in the Barbie movie there is supposedly a map showing China's claimed territory of Vietnam which prompted that country to ban the movie. How interesting is it then that Barbie is provoking fears of atomic war and its release date is on the same day as Oppenheimer, which is about the atomic bomb. A similar thing happened in Christopher Nolan's movie Dark Knight Rises, released July 20, 2012, when one of the strike zones in the city was listed on a map as Sandy Hook - like the shooting on December 14, 2012. Interestingly, July 20 was also the Aurora, Colorado, shooting which took place during a screening of Nolan's new Batman movie. The release of these two movies on the same day contrasts the fake world of PINK with the real world of BLACK, themes that can be found all throughout pop-culture, from the Powerpuff Girls in the 1990s, which features black goo and three homunculi, one of which is pink, to recent hit songs like Pink Venom, from the band BLACKPINK, which features black apples, black goo, broken mirrors signifying split personalities, along religious and mythic imagery. One line is “the fire that'll slowly put you to sleep.” A year prior to Pink Venom an article from Reuters out of Japan stated the following of Moderna shots: “Black substances were spotted in syringes and a vial, with pink substances found in another syringe, the health ministry said.”The innocence and purity of pink mixed with mysterious chemicals, massive explosions, etc., create mutations that turn us into something not human – something barbaric or mutated by radiation. That's what media and movies do, be it through coincidence, predictive programming, movie magic, or retro causality. The question is do you prefer the womblike matrix of Barbie or the real world of Oppenheimer that is about to be engulfed in flames? (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims killed 23 farmers and fishermen On May 15th, armed fighters from a terrorist group, called the Islamic State West Africa Province, killed 23 farmers and fishermen in Nigeria's Borno State, reports International Christian Concern. The victims, mostly bean farmers from Gwoza, had traveled to the area to work on land under insurgent control. Eighteen other people were abducted during the attack, and their whereabouts remain unknown. More German youth believe in personal God than their elders The Youth in Germany study shows that 31% of 14 to 29-year-olds believe in a personal God, compared to 25% of 30 to 49-year-olds, and 24% of 50 to 69-year-olds, reports Evangelical Focus. 2 Israeli Embassy officials murdered in Washington, D.C. Two staff members of the Israeli Embassy in Washington D.C. — a young couple on the verge of becoming engaged — were fatally shot Wednesday evening at 9:15pm while leaving a Young Diplomats Reception on humanitarian aid, hosted by the American Jewish Committee at the Capital Jewish Museum. Paige Siegel was an attendee that night. SIEGEL: “The event ends around nine o'clock, and at 9:07 I hear a first batch of gunshots go off, like, right outside. And this was an event that you had to register in advance for. You had to check in with your ID. You had to get wanded. There was security. The first round of gunshots go off. And I was like, those were gunshots.” Elias Rodriguez, age 31, of Chicago shouted “Free Palestine” as he was led away after his arrest, according to charging documents.   According to the New York Post, Rodriguez posted “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” as well as praise for the health care CEO killer Luigi Mangione. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar identified the victims as Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the tragedy. NETANYAHU: “Yaron had just bought an engagement ring for Sarah. He was planning to give it to her in Jerusalem next week. They were planning to start a new and happy life together. Well, that tragically did not happen. “Yaron and Sarah weren't the victims of a random crime. The terrorist who cruelly gunned them down did so for one reason and one reason alone. He wanted to kill Jews. And as he was taken away, he chanted, ‘Free, Palestine!' This is exactly the same chant we heard on October 7th. “On that day, thousands of terrorists stormed into Israel from Gaza. They beheaded men, they raped women, they burned babies alive, they butchered 1,200 innocent people, and took 251 innocent people hostage to the dungeons of Gaza. “A short time afterwards, Chancellor [Olaf] Scholz of Germany visited Israel, and after he saw the horrors, he said to me, ‘These Hamas terrorists are exactly like the Nazis!' He was right.” Yaron was not only eager to propose to Sarah next week, but was excited to return to Israel to be with his family for the Jewish holiday of Shavuot. Ron Prosor, a teacher at Israel's Reichman University, described Yaron this way. “He was a Christian, a true lover of Israel, served in the [Israel Defense Forces], and chose to dedicate his life to the State of Israel and the Zionist cause.” Siegel, one of the young Israelis at the event, expressed anxiety. Now this bill heads to the Senate, reports LifeNews.com. In light of the fact that Planned Parenthood killed 402,230 baby boys and girls last year with $792 million of taxpayer money, that's extraordinary! Leading up to that vote, the U.S. House Rules Committee convened a hearing, working tirelessly to finish negotiations on amendments to the budget bill. This hearing continued for more than 21 hours straight! High-ranking Democrats, who were not even on the committee, were paraded through the committee hearing, one by one, to propose amendments to the funding bill. Some of these members included Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Democrat House Whip Katherine Clark, and even former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. One of the top issues Democrats pressed for hours was increasing welfare with no work requirements — and continued funding for Planned Parenthood, reports Liberty Council Action. Minority Leader Jeffries claimed that this was “the largest cut to health care in American history.” Newsflash — killing children is not “health care.” Isaiah 59:7 describes the Democrats' perspective on life in the womb to a “t.” “Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways.” This passage of the bill in the House is a huge victory​! We must ​keep up the intensity to pass this bill in the Senate.
