December 7, 2025; 8am: The Agriculture Department announced that it's planning to withhold federal funding for food stamps in Democratic-led states that have refused to share sensitive personal data about recipients. The group of Democratic states have argued against sharing the data because they are concerned it could be used for other policies like immigration enforcement. Hawaii Attorney General Anne Lopez and Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel are two Democrats who are fighting back against the Trump administration. There's an enormous buildout of data centers underway across the country to fuel the AI boom. Hundreds of billions of dollars have already been spent on data centers, with talk of spending trillions more. And these data centers use a lot of power: According to the Times Picuayune, Meta's new data center under construction in Louisiana will require nearly three times the power that New Orleans uses in a year. Munaf Manji opens the NFL Week 14 Contest Podcast with Mackenzie Rivers and Uncle Dave Essler, noting the chaos of Thanksgiving week and that only 45 entries remain in Circa Survivor after a massive 851-entry wipeout. They break down how all three Thanksgiving favorites lost, how Chicago upset Philadelphia on Black Friday, and how the Rams' loss to Carolina knocked out four more on Sunday. Mackenzie and Dan were eliminated in Survivor, and Mack jokingly laments missing Fezzik's hindsight advice to take the Bears as a big dog. They review key picks for Week 14. President Donald Trump today pardoned Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) and his wife, Imelda. Cuellar was indicted last year on more than a dozen federal charges. The president also announced a historic reset of fuel economy standards and touted an estimated $109 billion in projected savings.A new immigration enforcement operation was launched today in New Orleans, aiming to arrest 5,000 illegal immigrants. The Department of Homeland Security says the effort is prioritizing individuals who were released after previously being held in local jails.Trump praised the progress made by the U.S. negotiating team during its Tuesday meeting in Moscow. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said advances were made regarding security guarantees for Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Kremlin described the talks as constructive but noted that no compromises have yet been reached.
