Your Intuition Warned You—Why Didn't You Listen? With Inga Kastrone - #834

EVEN MORE about this episode!Have you ever had a gut feeling you ignored—only to realize later that your intuition was right all along? What if that first quiet knowing isn't random, but information your soul is already receiving?Julie Ryan sits down with spiritual teacher, intuitive healer, and Akashic Record reader Inga Kastrone to explore how intuition really works, why it often speaks before the thinking mind takes over, and what can happen when we stop second-guessing what we already know.Inga describes intuition as access to a much larger energetic field connecting us with the subconscious mind, ancestral patterns, the body, and our soul's purpose. Together, Julie and Inga explore why trauma and conditioning can disconnect us from that inner knowing—and how we can begin rebuilding trust in ourselves.Inga's own awakening took an extraordinary path. Raised in Soviet Latvia without a spiritual upbringing, she pursued an academic career in international migration law before an unmistakable intuitive message told her to go to New Orleans. During a late-night ghost tour, an encounter with a voodoo priestess became part of a spiritual turning point that eventually led Inga into Reiki, the Akashic Records, energy healing, and the work she practices today.Julie and Inga also explore Harmonic Reconnection, Inga's approach to restoring harmony after trauma and disconnection; ancestral biofields; the imaginal realm; Egyptian goddess archetypes; and what it means to become fully present in your body while remaining connected to Spirit. Most importantly, this conversation asks a question that may change how you respond the next time that quiet voice speaks:What if you don't need more answers—what if you need to trust the answer you received first? If you've ever struggled to tell the difference between intuition and fear, doubted a gut feeling, ignored an inner knowing, or wondered how to reconnect with your spiritual guidance, this episode is for you.Guest Biography:Inga Kastrone, MA, MPhil, is an energy therapist, intuitive healer, Akashic Record reader, and sacred dance teacher based on the Mediterranean island of Gozo. For more than a decade, she has worked with advanced and sensitive souls seeking a deeper sense of wholeness, embodiment, and belonging, drawing on the subconscious mind, imaginal realm, and ancestral patterns. Her search for a more grounded bridge between the spiritual and physical worlds led her to develop Harmonic Reconnection, a holistic healing modality designed to help people reconnect with themselves, live from the soul, and move through life in greater harmony with the universe.Episode Chapters:(0:00:00) Welcome & Introduction(0:01:44) Has Your Intuition Been Right All Along?(0:05:45) Why We Learn to Ignore Our Intuition(0:09:36) Intuition vs. Ego: Which Voice Are You Hearing?(0:10:47) Ancestral Energy & the Akashic Records(0:18:53) Can Healing the Present Change the Past?(0:21:14) Healing Trauma Through the Imaginal Realm(0:24:28) Can the Body Hold Ancestral Memories?(0:31:39) The Body, Intuition & the Divine Feminine(0:40:52) How Spiritual Archetypes Can Help Us Heal(0:47:49) Why Sensitive Souls Feel They Don't Belong(0:53:27) What Is Harmonic Reconnection?(0:56:18) How Inga Was Called to Spiritual Work(0:59:44) The Ghost Tour That Changed Everything(1:03:33) Can Trees & Places Hold Energetic Memories?(1:11:32) A Message From Her Father's Spirit(1:11:33) How to Start Trusting Your Intuition(1:13:21) The “My Soul, I See You” Exercise(1:13:26) Why Do We Incarnate?➡️ Subscribe to Ask Julie Ryan YouTube➡️ Julie's Intuitive Trainings✏️ Ask Julie a Question!

New studio, same chaos. Dylan and Sam Tripoli return after a few weeks off to break down one of the show's biggest theories yet: that dragons weren't myth, but a real species written out of the historical record. They trace dragon accounts from Alexander the Great's reported sighting in a cave after invading India, to Marco Polo's travel logs, to Saint George's documented dragon slayings across three continents — and lay out the theory that the Catholic Church suppressed the truth to protect its own claim to power. Along the way: the case that dinosaur bones were first identified as Nephilim giants, the Chinese zodiac's one "fake" animal, and a Leviathan-Godzilla connection tying it all to ancient sea monster cults. Also this episode: Dark Smith's ongoing Gulf War Syndrome saga, Nancy Mace's tattoo collection, and a breakdown of Mark Zuckerberg's "personal superintelligence" pitch and what it means for surveillance, censorship, and comedy on Instagram. Her 2020 book, Words Whispered in Water, explores how she — against all odds — altered the national narrative about the deadly flooding in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. InWords Whispered in Water: Why the Levees Broke in Hurricane Katrina, Sandy gives a first-person narrative of the 2005 flooding and its aftermath, thrusting her into her role as a leading voice for fact-based responses to flood threats. She describes her transformation into an advocate for education on the history of flood control failures after Hurricane Katrina had moved inland, and her subsequent work as a watchdog tracking the responses of government and media in the hours, weeks and years after the floodwalls first gave way. A special Anniversary Edition of her book, featuring a new cover and foreword, went on sale in August 2025, timed with the 20th anniversary of the catastrophe. The catastrophic flooding of New Orleans in 2005 brought levees into the public consciousness. Yet, flooding now seems to be happening almost everywhere. The majority of the nation's population lives in counties protected by levees. Sandy's organization brings awareness to the dangers posed by this situation. Her organization has a strong physical presence in New Orleans, including the Flooded House Museum and the Levee Exhibit Hall at a major breach site. The organization has also installed three historic plaques vetted by the state's preservation office and hosts an annual levee breach bike tour, among other public education efforts. For these efforts, Sandy has received numerous awards, including Outstanding Social Entrepreneur of the Year from Tulane University and Most Influential Woman from Mount Holyoke College. She is an advocate for the 62% of the American population living in counties protected by levees.Rosenthal has been married to Stephen Rosenthal since 1979 and has three adult married children and two grandchildren. Step into the summer of 1963, when Jack Ruby took a fateful scouting trip to New Orleans and returned with his ultimate, red-carpet feature attraction: a fiery, red-haired headliner named Jada. Born Janet Adams Mole, Jada possessed the perfect storm of expensive clothes, a flashy Cadillac, and a commanding salary that instantly turned heads at the Carousel Club. But while her signature tiger-skin routine and provocative stage presence promised to bring "class" to Jack's walk-up club, she quickly transformed into his most expensive and uncontrollable nightmare. Their relationship rapidly devolved into legendary spotlight battles—with an increasingly paranoid, puritanical Jack sitting at the lightboard, furiously killing the stage lights mid-act whenever Jada pushed the boundaries of Dallas's decency laws.Behind their volatile personal war lay Jack's growing obsession with his wealthy competitors, Abe and Meyer Weinstein. Convinced that the brothers were destroying the Carousel's business through low-wage "amateur nights," Ruby spent his afternoons filing anonymous complaints with the IRS and the strippers' union, AGVA. Yet, as Jack desperately lobbied the union to ban his rivals' gimmicks, his own poor treatment of employees left him exposed to a barrage of labor complaints. When Jack tried to fire Jada and tear up her high-priced contract, the union intervened as a referee, forcing a miserable, cash-strapped Jack to endure her presence on his runway for three tense months. The friction peaked in late October 1963 when a terrified Jada marched into a Dallas courthouse and secured a formal peace bond to protect herself from Jack's notorious history of physical violence. Finally, we unravel the bizarre, heavily debated events of November 22, 1963. We explore Jack's frantic, jealous phone calls on the morning of the assassination to local sports writers, warning them to stay away from the "evil" Jada. We also document her highly unusual mid-morning car accident near Texas Instruments on Lemon Avenue, where her Cadillac struck a pedestrian just hours before the president's motorcade entered Dealey Plaza. Rushing back to Louisiana after the accident, Jada would sit in front of an ABC News camera less than 48 hours later, telling the world that she wasn't surprised by the basement shooting and that her former boss was "perfectly capable of an act like that."We close by evaluating the persistent conspiracy theories that have placed Lee Harvey Oswald sitting right at Jada's table. We test the famous, highly inconsistent late-reporting claims of Beverly Oliver against Jada's own immediate, sworn denials to federal investigators. Sifting through the folklore and the official files, this episode traces the tragic, quiet post-Dallas life of Janet Adams, whose story came to a sudden, heartbreaking end on an Albuquerque highway in 1980.

Jacklean Davis was the first Black woman to make homicide detective in the New Orleans Police Department. She grew up in Central City, inspired by a Black patrol officer known on the street as Christy Love, and she rose fast — cracking the 1986 case of a killer who had been hiding in plain sight, presenting himself to detectives as a witness. Ebony asked whether she was the best homicide detective in the city's history. Whoopi Goldberg looked into playing her.Her colleagues shredded her case files and stuffed dog waste in her desk. Then, in 2002, a dispute over a $5,000 security detail at an Essence Fest after-party became a federal extortion case, and Jackie went to prison in Tallahassee. Journalist Ethan Brown, who spent months with her and thousands of pages of her records, tells us how her rise and fall tracked the NOPD's own — and why a prosecutor's anonymous internet comments would later cast a shadow over her conviction.

In “There's No Business Like Hansen's Sno Bliz-ness,” Gravy reporter Eve Troeh takes us to New Orleans, home of the sno-ball. In the South you need strategies to beat the summer heat, and ice plays a big role. Street vendors used to shave big blocks of ice by hand and add flavored syrup—a treat that became known as a sno-ball in the Big Easy.  In the late 1930s, a local man, Ernest Hansen, invented a machine that changed the tradition. Sharp blades, encased in metal, turned chunks of ice into the most fluffy, fine “snow,” and he eventually patented this creation. While he kept his day job in New Orleans' manufacturing industry, Ernest's wife Mary ran with her husband's invention. She set up shop at home and eventually moved to a brick-and-mortar, dishing up fresh “snow” and dousing them with signature flavored syrups that she made by hand. They called their place Hansen's Sno-Bliz.  Remarkably, Ernest's hand-built machines are still in use today, as are many of Mary's syrup recipes, and the business continues to cool off customers with some “air-conditioning for your tummy.” Hansen's Sno-Bliz is now in its 86th year, with Ernest and Mary's granddaughter, Ashley Hansen, at the helm. Ashley's was a long and loving journey to take on the business. She learned alongside her grandparents day by day. In a city that practically worships tradition, she honors her family and her customers by maintaining not just the original 1930s ice-shaving mechanics and syrup recipes, but also by cultivating the warm hospitality her grandparents always extended to anyone who entered. The cinder block corner shop on New Orleans' Tchoupitoulas Street looks humble, but you'll always find a line of customers stretching outside around the corner. The James Beard Foundation even bestowed Hansen's with its prestigious title of American Classic. Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin joins Stadium & Gale for a wide-ranging 50-minute conversation on the coaching search that landed Jon Sumrall, the NFL-style general manager structure built around Dave Caldwell, the $1.45 billion Ben Hill Griffin Stadium renovation, and where college athletics goes if Congress never acts.Stricklin gets candid about why past Florida coaches were "asked to do the impossible," how Urban Meyer and Danny Wuerffel were actually used in the search (and why Nick wasn't), the living-room meeting in New Orleans where Sumrall and Caldwell met for the first time, staff creep across college football, donor fatigue in the NIL era, why private equity is "a really expensive loan," and whether the Colorado and Notre Dame games survive a nine-game SEC schedule.Plus: Dan, Nick and Corry break down Saturday's scrimmage — the quarterback competition, Eric Singleton's speed, the offensive line concerns, safety depth, and what's realistic for this Florida team.Stadium & Gale covers Florida Gators football, basketball and the business of college athletics from the corner of Stadium Road and Gale Lemerand Drive.

REPLAY: Al Gore's Latest Doomsday Special: 'The Climate Crisis Is Like Never Before ... Again' | 8/17/26

Original Air Date: March 30th, 2026 In this fresh clip, the man who's been wrong for three decades is at it again, solemnly declaring that some climate damage is already “not reversible” while warning it's “probably inevitable that we're going to see Greenland go and the west Antarctic ice sheet go.” He tells us the world's shallow coral reef systems are “very much in danger,” so if you want to see them, you'd better “get scuba certified immediately” — right before casually throwing in that New Orleans might need saving too. Gore admits the most dangerous impacts are “still avoidable and preventable” if we just “stop using the sky as an open sewer for this civilization-destroying pollution”… because apparently the same scientists whose 20-year-old doomsday predictions he now calls “dead right” have suddenly nailed it this time. No new data, no evidence, just the same recycled panic, the same furrowed brow, and the same urgent plea to trust him — again. Same Gore, same script, different decade. The ice sheets, the reefs, and the sky are all doomed… unless you buy what he's selling. Classic.
