In this episode, Julian of Norwich is drawn into the radiant joy of Christ—the joy He takes in His Blessed Mother, and the glory revealed in His glorified Face. In the Eleventh Shewing, Christ lovingly invites Julian to “see her”—to behold the Virgin Mary as He does, with delight and reverence. Through Julian's vision, we glimpse the profound place of Mary in Christ's heart and in the life of every Christian. In the Twelfth Shewing, Julian is lifted to contemplate the joy of Heaven: the Beatific Vision, where the saints behold the Face of Christ and are fully seen, fully known, and fully loved. Drawing from Julian's text, Scripture, the Catechism, and the wisdom of the saints, this episode opens the mystery of divine joy that begins in Christ's Passion and culminates in eternal glory. Dr. Dominic Iacovone is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and founder of Relive Health—a nationwide network of health and wellness clinics started in 2017. With a passion for improving quality of life, Dominic has scaled Relive Health from a single location to over 26 open clinics (and 400 locations sold), offering services tailored to each individual's health needs. As a husband and father, his mission is to empower people to live well, not just get by, using a comprehensive approach to health that includes bloodwork, hormone optimization, medical weight loss, IV and ozone therapy, and much more. On this episode we talk about: Dominic's entrepreneurial story, from high school candy sales and pressure washing to building multiple 7- and 8-figure health businesses The personal loss that drew him to holistic health, and his education in molecular biology and chiropractic care Launching Relive Health before health “biohacking” was mainstream, and navigating skepticism The power of video and social media in building a local clinic into a nationally recognized brand Running lean early, but learning to delegate and invest for scale—transitioning from owner-operator to franchisor Franchise economics: location sizes, profit margins, required medical staff, and the in-depth education Relive Health provides Streamlining real estate selection using data on ideal clientele (income, lifestyle, spend) and neighborhood analysis tools Lifetime value and clinical impact: why hormone optimization is their most valuable (and life-changing) recurring service The realities and responsibilities around HRT (hormone replacement therapy) for men and women—why it's a lifetime commitment, and the need for transparency The myth of “get healthy quick,” and why patient education and expectation-setting are crucial Relive Health's ownership model, partnerships with leaders like Orange Theory founders, and Dominic's refusal to sell out just for an exit Passion, purpose, and impact: finding fulfillment in business that enriches lives Top 3 Takeaways Individualization Wins: A one-size-fits-all approach doesn't work for health or wealth—personalization and comprehensive care create long-term value. Delegate to Scale: Let go of operational roles early; invest in great people to take your business from one location to hundreds. Educate, Don't Just Sell: Success in health, like business, relies on honesty, setting realistic expectations, and investing in customer experience. Notable Quotes “I like nice stuff. I think quality of life is very important... there has to be a reward for your effort, or you'll hate what you do.” “If I'd tried to hold onto everything at my first location, I'd still be there—a half-million-dollar-a-month business but not the legacy I'm building now.” “Starting hormones is a lifetime commitment. If anyone tells you different, they're lying to you. You have to know what you're signing up for, and do it right.” Connect with Dr. Dominic Iacovone: https://www.instagram.com/iacovone/?hl=en Clinic Network: https://relivehealth.com/

Through gentle reflection and grounding breath, we'll examine how these intense emotions live in us: the grasping of jealousy, the urgency of zeal, and the open flame of passion. This practice invites you to notice where these energies arise in your life and how they might be refined into sacred purpose. Whether you're navigating conflict, searching for clarity, or reconnecting with your creative fire, this meditation offers space to meet the fire within, and choose how to carry it.

I have been an Occupational Therapist since 1991. I started out working in neuro rehab - brain injury rehabilitation, and loved it. I've always been a person who is constantly seeking out more education, especially when you find that you aren't able to help people enough, with what you know. So I studied and became certified in NDT, or Neuro Developmental Treatment early in my career. As I moved into other areas of rehab, I took trainings in Myofascial Release, Hand Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, and Manual Lymph Drainage. I kept looking for “that thing” that resonated with me. While I learned a lot with these courses and they brought more understanding and different techniques to use, none of them were “it” for me. And they didn't teach people how to help themselves. It was another technique to do “to” them. I have owned my own business, Atha SomaYoga, since 2017, and have an office inside Core Physical Therapy in West Des Moines. I offer mainly private sessions focusing on helping people become aware of their basic resting breath and posture, and imbalances they may have, then help them retrain them through the work of Buteyko Breath Re-education and Somatics. Then I help them retrain their functional movement, with additional tools from yoga, including the poses, philosophy, and Ayurveda (the sister science to yoga) so they can keep themselves moving well, and helping to decrease their pain and/or tension. I lead the 200 and 500 hour Therapeutic SomaYoga programs in Des Moines, through Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute, and am also starting to offer Continuing Education in Somatics and breathwork, to PT's, OT's, and possibly massage therapists, etc., in the future. Let This Mystery Change You: The Self-Giving of Christ and the Call of the Priest This Homily, delivered on the anniversary of Father Bernard's ordination, . . . . . . reflects on the deep theological and spiritual meaning of the priesthood, particularly through the lens of the Passion narrative in the Gospel of John. The Homily highlights the moment at the cross where Jesus entrusts Mary to the beloved disciple and vice versa, explaining this as the beginning of Mary's unique relationship with the priesthood. Mary's Unique Relationship with the Priesthood The Homily draws a distinction between the celebration of priesthood on Holy Thursday (when Jesus instituted the Eucharist and shared his priesthood with the apostles) and Good Friday, which commemorates Christ's own high priesthood as He offers Himself in sacrifice for the salvation of the world. The Homily also explains the priest acts in the person of Christ at the altar, not merely recalling the Last Supper but entering into Christ's eternal sacrifice. A key point is that priests must be transformed by the mystery they celebrate, resting their hearts against Christ's own, just as John did. The homily draws special attention to the mystical intimacy between Mary and the priest, emphasizing how a priest must not just welcome Mary into his home but allow himself to be welcomed into hers. Finally, the homily praises Father Bernard as one who embodies this deep, Marian-shaped priesthood . . . one who listens to the heart of Christ and allows Mary to guide and shape his vocation. Listen to: Let This Mystery Change You: The Self-Giving of Christ and the Call of the Priest ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Christ of St. John of The Cross: Spanish Painter: Salvador Dalí: 1951 The painting is known as the Christ of Saint John of the Cross, because its design is based on a drawing by the 16th-century Spanish friar John of the Cross. As a young academic professional, Mary Ellen Jukoski, age 75, wondered: “Where are the female college presidents? I want to become one.” So, she did, serving the first 20 years as President of Mitchell College in Connecticut where she transformed a struggling two-year institution into a thriving four-year college, inspired by her feminine leadership style of inclusiveness and collaboration. Her special mission has been to mentor young women to seek and succeed at leadership roles. She credits her husband, Matt, for supporting her cherished career while they raised their daughter. In 2024, Mary Ellen and Matt moved to an independent living community where they can be closer to their daughter and her family and enjoy social and intellectual stimulation. Meeting many women in their 90s, Mary Ellen expresses new appreciation for the notion that “age doesn't' define the person.” As she contemplates retirement, Mary Ellen looks forward to a new purpose. She says, “It's all about having a positive attitude and being open to opportunities.” As a leader, I come to serve, not to be served; I am a presence, being there for others. - Mary Ellen JukoskiConnect with Mary EllenEmail: maryellen.jukoski@ctstate.eduMary Ellen Jukoski, Ed.D. - CT StateSponsor AppreciationPlymouth Place, LaGrange Park, IL., where senior living is redefined with options and opportunities to fit individual needs and preferences. https://plymouthplace.org Plymouth Place is the Diamond Sponsor for our Symposium, October 8, 2025.Podcast CollaboratorThis month's podcast recommendation (member of Aging-Well Collective) is Host Beverly Glazer, Aging With Purpose and Passion, a weekly podcast inspiring women over 50 to embrace bold life shifts, and unlock their potential, through captivating stories from trailblazing senior women. https://www.agingwithpurposeandpassion.com

Are there any anxious mothers out there? Have you ever been shamed for being an anxious mother? Well, I definitely have been an anxious mom, just ask my daughter. Actually I have never met a mom especially a mom of a teen who hasn't had to deal with anxious thoughts. Moms are going to worry. the challenge is how to make anxiety useful and not be a constant source of agony. In this episode we talk about how to get curious about anxiety and learn from it. Joining us today is Yael Goldstein-Love. She is the author of the novels The Passion of Tasha Darsky, described as “showing signs of brooding genius” by The New York Times, and The Possibilities, forthcoming in July. She also practices psychotherapy, with a particular interest in the transition to parenthood, and is working toward her doctorate in clinical psychology. Her dissertation research focuses on how mothers experience their anxiety for the unknown futures of their children. She is a graduate of Harvard University and currently attends The Wright Institute. Her writing has appeared in The Boston Globe, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Wall Street Journal Speakeasy Blog, The Atlantic online, The Forward, Commentary, and other places. She lives with her six-year-old son and a very patient cat in Berkeley, CA. Here are a couple of quotes from Yael's article on maternal anxiety. "There is a mismatch between the primal maternal drive to protect our offspring and our knowledge that we're largely powerless to do so, and this gap between what we long to do as mothers taxed with seeing the next generation in, and what we can realistically do as human beings, is one of the more brutal gifts of evolution. No wonder anxiety is such a fundamental part of motherhood." "We don't often think about the sheer existential heft of caring for a child, and how anxiety is baked right into it. To honor this aspect of mothering would be to look head-on at realities we all find harrowing: that life is fragile, we never know what's coming next, we suffer, and in the end we die. Maternal worry gets at the heart of what is terrifying about being alive, and about loving." Learn more at: https://www.yaelgoldsteinlove.com/ Learn more about your ad choices. In this special episode of Waypoints, host Jim Klug sits down with longtime friend, business partner, and fellow saltwater addict Ian Davis to talk about an incredible project nearly a decade in the making. Ian – a renowned angler, illustrator, fly designer, and global trip host – has just released his highly anticipated new book, A Passion for Bonefish. This landmark publication is the result of more than eight years of dedicated work, extensive travel, in-depth research, and conversations with some of the most legendary names in saltwater fly fishing. The book is more than just a technical guide or glossy photo journal. Rather, it's a heartfelt tribute to one of the most iconic fish in the sport and a celebration of the places, people, and culture that surround the pursuit of bonefish. As the co-owner of Yellow Dog Flyfishing (a sponsor of Waypoints), Ian brings a wealth of personal experience to the conversation - having chased bonefish across the globe for more than 30 years. In this episode, Ian and Jim dive deep into the evolution of the book, the insights it delivers, and the reasons why bonefish continue to capture the hearts of so many fly anglers. From gear tips and fly selection to destination highlights, conservation concerns, and bonefishing strategy, this conversation is a must-listen for anyone who love fishing the flats and those that plan to in the future. Whether you're new to bonefishing or a seasoned saltwater veteran, Ian's knowledge, stories, and passion for the species shine through in what promises to be one of the most engaging episodes of the season. After the success of the 2024 Belize and 2023 Baja Bluegrass events, we're excited to bring the experience back to Belize for 2025. Join us November 4–9 at El Pescador Lodge on Ambergris Caye for a five-night, all-inclusive fishing, beach, and bluegrass getaway—exclusively for 30 couples.Waypoints is brought to you by PatagoniaTo bring their gear to life, Patagonia is motivated by relentless curiosity and a passion for the wild. Kapil opens up about his early days working in his family's grocery store in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and how those humble beginnings shaped his unshakable work ethic. From selling electronics to launching a national wellness brand, Kapil's journey is packed with gritty determination, unfiltered lessons, and the relentless belief that heart and hustle can take you anywhere. This episode dives deep into the emotional and entrepreneurial rollercoaster of building something that matters—from overcoming rejection and burnout to building partnerships and scaling a mission-driven brand. Kapil shares how Naturemary was born out of family healing, the lessons he's learned about team, branding, and momentum, and why purpose is more important than ever in today's business world. If you're building with heart, this one's for you.Key takeaways: 1. Success often begins with a simple intention to help someone, not a perfectly laid-out business plan.2. When you build a brand from a place of heart and purpose, it resonates far deeper than just features or pricing.3. Rejection doesn't mean you're on the wrong path—it often means you're being redirected to a better one.4. Some of the most powerful businesses are born from solving a real, personal problem you deeply care about.5. Choosing the right business partner means finding someone whose strengths cover your blind spots—and vice versa.6. Don't wait for everything to be perfect—clarity and momentum come through taking action, not overthinking.7. Working nonstop might feel productive at first, but without rest and balance, burnout will eventually catch up to you.8. When your brand voice is honest and real, you attract customers who genuinely believe in what you're doing.9. Burnout isn't always from doing too much—it's often a sign you've lost touch with why you started in the first place.10. Passion is a great spark, but pairing it with relentless effort is what actually builds something worth talking about.Links referenced in this episode:capitalbd.canaturemary.comkellykennedyofficial.comJoin The Catalyst ClubConnect with a powerhouse community of entrepreneurs, business developers, and leaders who get it.
