Cobalt Blue Holdings Ltd (ASX:COB, OTC:CBBHF) investor relations representative Joel Crane talked with Proactive's Tylah Tully about the company's earn-in for the Halls Creek Project and its proposal to rebrand as Core Blue Minerals Ltd. Crane explains that Halls Creek is a significant polymetallic copper resource with notable zinc and silver grades. The project is located in a well-established mining jurisdiction and comes with existing mining leases, positioning the company ahead in the permitting process. Discussing the acquisition, Crane outlined three key benefits: Leveraging expertise – The company will apply metallurgical innovations from its Broken Hill Demonstration Plant. Resource potential – The project has high-grade extension opportunities and unassessed cobalt, aligning with the company's Kwinana cobalt refinery strategy. Commodity diversification – Adding copper exposure helps mitigate single-commodity risks while supporting the energy transition. Crane also explained the reasoning behind the proposed name change to Core Blue Minerals Ltd, noting that the company is expanding beyond cobalt. Despite the broader focus, the company remains committed to its core projects, including the Kwinana Cobalt Refinery and Broken Hill Cobalt Project. #CobaltBlue #MiningNews #Copper #Cobalt #HallsCreek #BatteryMetals #EnergyTransition #CommodityMarkets #MiningInvestment #ResourceDevelopment

What an extraordinary finger-playing guitarist. Gorgeous. We talked the LA fires, the Juber evacuation plan, fortunately not taken to fruition. Animals before guitars, his one-of-a-kind custom shop signature Martin, and a Les Paul were the two that made the cut. Laurence is doing what he can to help, performing at a series of gigs that will donate their proceeds, including Tuesday's big fundraiser at The Canyon Club. Laurence talked with great pride about his two daughters, both achieving big things in the biz. He also spoke with great love and reverence of his wife, Hope, to whom he's been married and a true partner in life and oft in art, for 42 years. It's clear that it's family first and creating for the Jubers. There's no sitting around eating bonbons and watching the tube for this high-functioning family. We talked about Laurence's early days and influences, clarinet his first instrument, finding guitar, and learning to read music in a day. He claims. everyone was doing it. His dream was to be a session player, and he quickly realized it in Abby Road Studios with the likes of George Martin. He gigged around with innumerable bands, quite happy to be doing so, until Denny Laine made that fateful connection. Auditioning with drummer Steve Holley, their lives both changed that day when Paul McCartney asked what they'd be doing for the next few years. A childhood fantasy realized, until a pot bust in Japan. Laurence spoke of his solo work, lots more session work, segueing to TV, which led him to some work with a guy named Snuffy, and ultimately to scoring and composing… writing two musicals with Hope, one, the ever popular, Gilligan's Island: The Musical. There was a Grammy with Sir Paul for Rockestra, the first instrumental Grammy, and his solo arrangement of The Pink Panther Theme earned him a second Grammy. Laurence has played on innumerable hits, some he's found out about years later reading about them. He's an amazing man with incredible talents. Who is Cobalt Blue? Well, we'll tell you, but you might not like the answer! In 1997, Mark Waid and Brian Augustyn took a 12-issue vacation from the ongoing Flash series to recharge their batteries. But during this so-called “hiatus,” they were busy collaborating on a number of stories and even a 96-page hybrid prose/graphic novel that would set up their upcoming “Chain Lightning” storyline, billed as “the ultimate Flash epic.” Fans didn't react well to the shocking retcon that kicked off the story, but we found the resultant time-travel romp to be a bit of an overlooked gem, introducing a thousand years of potentially interesting speedsters to the DC Universe. PLUS! Don't miss the wedding of Wally West and Linda Park (Take One)! Discussed in this episode: The Flash #142-150 and #1,000,000, plus The Life Story of The Flash (1997) and other stories. In today's episode, Bex Scott uses her confessed addiction to thrifting to share the top six items that she always seeks out at thrift stores. Bex lives in Canada so the availability of items, and store names, may vary from country to country, but the general categories of vintage items Bex looks for are a great guide. She walks us through what to look for, why, and how to value an item if you do find one. Bex's list of items she frequents Value Village, Goodwill, and Salvation Army to find wouldn't, of course, be complete without Pyrex occupying the number one spot. She tells stories of lining up before the store would open to be one of the first inside and she divulges some of the greatest Pyrex finds she's experienced. Her six top sought-after items after Pyrex are brass, Blue Mountain pottery, cross stitch and crewel patterns, vintage linens, and kids' books. Why does she search for these specific items? Bex tells all in this episode: the why, their collectible value, and some of the pieces and brands to be on the lookout for. Tune in and then share your own top ten list with Bex on Instagram @PyrexWithBex.Resources discussed in this episode:JAJ Cherry Blossom PyrexWhatnotBlue Mountain Pottery blue glaze bowlBrass lounging frogs“Blue Mountain Pottery Angelfish - A Star is Reborn” by C. I'll take you on my latest thrifting adventures, talk about reselling, chat with other enthusiasts about their collections, and learn about a bunch of really awesome items from the past. Subscribe now on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you love listening to podcasts so you don't miss a beat. Bex Scott: [00:00:30] Hey, everybody, this is Bex Scott and you are listening to the Pyrex with Bex podcast. Today. I wanted to go through the top six items that I always pick up at the thrift store if the price is right. That is the most important part of this. If the price is right for you to resell, if you're a reseller, or if it's right to you as a collector. So for those of you who know me, I am addicted to thrifting. And I realized that I had an actual addiction this year when I took all of January off of thrifting and buying anything vintage, and it was so difficult for me, I had no idea it would be that hard. But it really brought to light the fact that I love going to Value Village. I love going to Goodwill. And it is a huge part of my life. It's become a hobby, something that I like to do when I'm feeling stressed, and it's really helped me to connect with an amazing group of people on Instagram and whatnot, and it's just something that's really fun to do. Bex Scott: [00:01:41] So when I go to the thrift store, I usually have a few things in mind that I'm always on the lookout for. And for those of you who are new to thrifting or new to reselling, I thought I would bring up these six things so that maybe you could start taking a look when you go to Value Village, Goodwill, Salvation Army. And I'm located in Canada so what I'm finding might be a bit different than what you're finding in the States or different parts of the world, and I would love to know what your top ten items are as well. So feel free to find me on Instagram @PyrexWithBex to let me know your opinion of what I'm going to go through in this podcast episode, and what you would add or maybe take out from what I'm going to mention, because price has a huge impact on what you pick up when you go out thrifting. If you're a collector, that price may have a lot higher of a ceiling, because you'll pay a lot more to have that piece in your collection. I know I'm like that with Pyrex. If there's a piece that I absolutely need to have and I find it at the thrift store and it is a bit higher than I would usually pay, especially if I'm going to be reselling it. I don't hesitate to invest that money in it. But if I'm looking to make some profit off of it, then I'm looking for a lot lower of a cost. Bex Scott: [00:03:15] So let's get into it. The first item that I have on my list is obviously Pyrex. I would be feeling pretty weird if I didn't have Pyrex on this list. Unfortunately, it's becoming harder and harder to find good Pyrex in the thrift stores, and I'm sure all of you know this. It's the same across the board with all of the collectors that I talk to, and those of you who have been collecting for quite a long time, not myself, you have mentioned to me how easy or how much easier it used to be, even 5 or 6 years ago, to find good pieces at the thrift store. So before we had our daughter, I would wake up early a couple of times a week to go to Value Village and Goodwill. Those are the ones in the city that I lived in that I like to hit up, and I would line up before it opened, so I'd be there super early. It was cold a lot of the time. I was still going in the winter. And this was the only way that I could find good Pyrex at the thrift stores, and it was definitely worth it for me. It was pretty funny because the same people lined up every single morning, there were about 15 or 20 of us, and I always try to be maybe 4th or 5th in the line. Any earlier than that and I was not awake enough to be out there. But you would start to recognize the people who were in line and start chatting with them, and you'd get to know them. And there was always a teacup lady. She was always ahead of me. There was always a video game and book guy. And then you had your handful of what I like to call vintage generalists like myself. And those ones were my main competition. You'd see the doors open and everybody would pile in all at the same time, and then kind of disperse into the store. And if you were fast enough, you could grab a cart. But sometimes there wasn't enough time because people were in it to win it, and you'd all rush towards the same shelf and kind of scan the shelves that you pass to see if there's anything good on your way back, and you would hope that you got there first. And some of the best finds that I've had at Value Village and the Salvation Army have been an almost full set of the Friendship Cinderella bowls. The 441 was dishwasher damaged, but it was, the rest of it was in amazing condition. I found a charcoal Snowflake divided dish, a Friendship divided dish, a full primary set. I found a few full primary sets at the thrift store. And a bunch of other just random, little less desirable pieces here and there. Bex Scott: [00:06:01] Something that I see all the time is the JAJ Cherry Blossom, and those ones I always leave behind. When I first started reselling, I would pick them up, but they are so common now that they've kind of lost their appeal to me. Those are the ones that I would buy if I needed something to cook in, that I wasn't going to put into my collection or my display, or if I wanted to gift somebody something. I've heard that people, they make their friends and their family casseroles, and they gift them the dish that it comes in and I think that's a really great idea to do with some of these less desirable, more commonly found casserole and pieces of dishware. Bex Scott: [00:06:46] Next up is brass, and I only pick up brass if the price is right. And depending on what it is, that price is usually $7 or under for me. And my favorite have always been the animals, especially deer. Our baby's nursery was full of deer. I even put some brass deer in there. And I know I always mention this on my podcast, but my husband despises brass and I try not to put it around the house. I love it at Christmas. I've purchased huge brass deer for Christmas decorations, and I've also found large seagull wall hangings, a massive brass easel, a set of lounging frogs. The frogs were probably top of my list for my favorite. I like to call them the sexy frogs because they're both lying on their side with their arms under their head, lounging like they're striking a pose on a beach. And I've been pretty lucky as well with brass at online auctions. Just this past week, I won a box of 11 pieces for $17, which I'm pretty excited about because the Whatnot Canadian group of resellers that I'm a part of, we're thinking of having a brass, glass and wood seller train coming up, and I'm hoping to join that one to sell a bunch of brass and glass goodies. So most antique brass items are solid brass, and something that I've learned, a way of identifying solid brass pieces is by using a magnet. And if you feel a pull when you put the magnet up to it, then the item is brass plated and not solid brass. And a lot of the vintage or antique brass pieces, they don't have the display stamps or maker's marks to depict the place and year of manufacturing, so that's not as common. So usually if they do, you'll know that they are more modern pieces and not the antique or vintage brass. So any brass that I pick up now I don't usually hold onto. It's listed for sale on Marketplace or in one of my Whatnot shows. So if you're a reseller or looking to get into reselling, brass is definitely a no-brainer if you're able to find it for a decent price. So always keep your eye on that price tag. Bex Scott: [00:09:08] Next up we have the Canadian favorite Blue Mountain pottery. So I have sold a large amount of Blue Mountain pottery over the years, especially animals; elephants, deer, dogs, and then other common objects like vases, ashtrays, candy dishes. And it's actually a pretty hot seller with Americans right now. A lot of my fellow Whatnot sellers, they sell Blue Mountain pottery online in their auctions and their live shows, and it does really well. So word to the wise, though, when you find it at a thrift store, check every single inch of it because it is so commonly chipped. I've gotten overly excited way too many times and haven't realized that there was a chip or 2 or 5 until I got home. I just was so excited to have found a piece. And then I get home and I'm super disappointed and there's not much you can do with it at that point except keep it in your collection or, I guess, say goodbye to it. So I wanted to give you guys a bit of information about Blue Mountain Pottery, because I've known about it for quite a while, but I've never really dug into the backstory or its beginnings. Bex Scott: [00:10:22] So it was founded in Collingwood in Ontario, Canada in the early 1950s, and this is all information that I've found from my good old friend Worthpoint. The company initially bought ceramic blanks and decorated them with ski motifs, which I think is pretty cool. Soon the founders produced and sold their creations. Before long, the company was successful and exported globally, including to the United States, Europe and Australia. I'd love to know how many pieces or how prevalent it is in the United States, because I haven't heard of it much outside of Canada. So if you are a US or European or even Australian collector, let me know on my Instagram. So the pottery began in a barn at Blue Mountain Ski Resort. After they noticed the rich red clay being turned over to create new ski trails, they used it to make pottery to sell in the resort's gift shop. They decorated and glazed the products, primarily vases, ashtrays, bowls, and stylized animal figures. Moving to a factory allowed the business to manufacture tea and coffee sets, tableware, flower pots, decorative ware, and other sculpted animals and figurines. It became well known for its trademarked reflowing, or drip glazing technique that mimicked Blue Mountains colors during the summer. That's something that I also didn't know. I thought it was just a cool technique that they used with the kind of different glazes and flowy look, but it's really awesome to know that it was based off of the mountain's colors. After hand-applying one lighter and one darker glaze on a piece, the colors ran together during the firing process and resulted in mixed hue streaks. The company is best known for using this glaze to make deep green, almost emerald pieces. That's mostly what I've found when I go thrifting. Beginning in the 1960s, the company also produced other colors, including Harvest Gold, Cobalt Blue, Slate Red, Mocha, and Pewter. And I have to say that I think the red is my favorite. The color is so vibrant and it's just beautiful. So they designed many Blue Mountain pottery molds, including its frond vases, bookends, and jugs. They created the Angelfish figurine in the mid 1950s. If you haven't seen the Angelfish, look it up because it's also very beautiful and it's one of the potteries' most famous pieces, beloved by collectors. In the late 1980s, they made a more realistic version of the design called Tropical Fish. Studio potter Dominic Stazioni created hand-thrown vases, bowls, serving ware, and other free-form pieces for the company during the 1960s and 1970s. Designer David Bennett designed the Romar and Robert Wilson Collections, two animal figurine lines named after the company's later owner, Robert Wilson Blair. Rising production costs and increased overseas competition caused the factory to close in 2004. Bex Scott: [00:13:27] Next up, I have cross stitch and crewel patterns. And crewel is something that I've recently gotten into. And I have to say, if you have the patience, it is a super rewarding hobby and also great for reselling. If you're able to find complete kits with a pattern and thread, you're definitely set. The kits they make now, they're pretty, but I find that the vintage ones, they have so much more character and color, depth, and just personality, so they're definitely worth finding if you can. A few of the brands to keep an eye out for are Dimensions, Sunset Stitchery, Paragon, and Jiffy Stitchery. And right now I'm doing a Paragon winter scene. It's massive so it's gonna take me probably like the whole year. But it is so fun and relaxing as long as you have that patience. Anything floral, mushroom, or with cute little animals is also a hit right now. And another thing that I do is I buy complete and framed pieces for resale, and I find that they sell really well because people love adding them to their collage walls in their house. Or a lot of people have a sentimental attachment to a certain pattern. I know that growing up my grandma had, I believe it was crewel because I came across the pattern for it actually on Facebook Marketplace the other day, and it was the Lord's Prayer, and it had flowers all around it like a frame, and that one really stood out in my mind. So I think for a lot of people, they remember their grandparents or their parents having them in their house, and it's nice to be able to recreate them or to have them in their home. Bex Scott: [00:15:14] Number five on my list is sheets and bedding. So anything linens. Before collecting and reselling vintage, I'm not going to lie, buying used bedding and sheets did not seem that appealing to me. But now that I've kind of gotten over that fear, I know it's silly, I'm all over finding them. There are some pretty amazing floral print sheets and bedding sets you can snag in the linen section of the thrift store, and I typically look for flat sheets and pillowcases, as they're usually pretty reasonably priced, and I find it easier to look for damage or stains or rips on those pieces than some of the fitted sheets and larger items. Some of my favorite brands are Wabasso, Burlington, Elegance, and Picot. If I pronounced any of those wrong, which I probably did, I apologize to everybody. One of the vintage resellers that I met through Whatnot, she actually purchased a Wabasso flat sheet from me and used it as wallpaper in her new shop, which was a really cool idea. It looked amazing. It looked like it had been painted on the wall. So if anybody has old vintage sheets out there and you're looking to just spruce up a wall in your office or in your room, check out some old linens because it's such a great idea. Bex Scott: [00:16:35] Okay. And last on my list I have vintage kids books. And I have always been a huge bookworm, especially when I was younger. I would go to the library and spend hours picking out books with my mom. Looking through all the kids books at the thrift store has brought back a ton of memories for me, especially when I find the same ones that I read when I was growing up and when I was little. And I usually find that the vintage books are easy to pick out. They tend to have hard covers, they have nicely textured covers, and they seem to use a different palette of colors in their illustrations and the covers of the books. So I tend to pick up anything with beautifully illustrated pages, because I've discovered that many collectors like to make craft projects out of the images. So this would fall under the ephemera category, which I'm still learning about. My latest addiction is actually a vintage greeting card, so I'll probably do an episode coming up about that, but I find that I have trouble cutting pages out of books unless they're already pretty damaged. But I have seen some awesome craft projects come out of books lately. And I obviously gravitate to the vintage Little Golden Books. But after doing some research on what to keep an eye out for, I discovered there are a bunch of other titles that are extremely hard to find, like needle in a haystack hard to find. They're first editions, they're special copies, and they're worth thousands and thousands of dollars. But I thought it was kind of fun to learn about them and to, you never know, keep an eye out for maybe some of these books. Bex Scott: [00:18:20] So the first one is The Hobbit, the first 1500 first edition copies published by Allen and Unwin in the UK on September 21st of 1937, are the ones that you want to be looking for. Number two, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The current hot copy is Salvador Dali's illustrated limited edition. There are only 2500 copies from 1969. Three, Where the Wild Things Are. I loved this book growing up, and the movie was pretty good as well. The copy defined is the 1963 first edition published by Harper and Row. Number four, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. This was another favorite when I was growing up, and the one that you're going to look for is the 1964 first edition published by Knopf. It has been signed by Dahl and has a pristine dust jacket. Good luck finding that one. And number five is The Velveteen Rabbit. And this one you want is the 1922 William Nicholson copy. And I just recently read The Velveteen Rabbit for the first time to my daughter, and it is a very cute story. Bex Scott: [00:19:40] So I hope you enjoyed these six items that I always pick up at the thrift if the price is right. And I'd love to hear from you guys on my Instagram at Pyrex with Bex. Let me know what you always put into your cart at the thrift store. If you agree with what I've said, if you disagree, and what you would add to my list. Thanks so much everybody!

The completed roasting tests achieved greater than 90% conversion of the pyrite into pyrrhotite and elemental sulphur with these results warranting further evaluation. (Piano music stops) Kiersten - Welcome to Ten Things I Like About… I'm Kiersten, your host, and this is a podcast about misunderstood or unknown creatures in nature. Some we'll find right out side our doors and some are continents away but all are fascinating.  ] This podcast will focus ten, ten minute episodes on different animals and their amazing characteristics. Please join me on this extraordinary journey, you won't regret it.   This episode continues tarantulas and the second thing I like about these awesome creatures is their senses!   The five senses that are typically common amongst most animals are sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. We're going to look at each one of these in relation to tarantulas. Buckle up listeners, this is going to be a crazy ride!   Okay, let's start with vision. As mentioned in the anatomy episode, tarantulas have eight eyes. They are set just above the chelicerae. Two large eyes, that are relatively easy to see with the naked human eye, are centered in the middle of the front portion of the cephalothorax. Four eyes sit below those. These are smaller than the large eyes and sit in a line. Of these four eyes, the two in the middle will be slightly larger than the two on the ends.    Now, if you're keeping count that gives us only six eyes. The final two eyes sit on each side of the head. Once again, they will be smaller than the large front facing eyes, but they are bigger than the four eyes that are lined below the main eyes. This is typical of most tarantulas but not all species will be exactly the same. So based on the fact that they have eight eyes, their eyesight must be amazing! That's an excellent deductive thought listeners, but in this case it is not correct.   Tarantulas' eyes are capable of detecting motion and changes in light, but cannot determine visual cues in any detail. When it comes to tarantulas, more eyes does not mean better vision. But before you shed a tear for these wee animals, their eyes are perfect for how they live their lives. Most tarantulas are nocturnal, so seeing in shades of light and dark is just what they need to navigate their environment successfully.   It is commonly thought that tarantulas cannot see color. It makes sense that if you live in the shadows of night the ability to see color is not important, but there is some recent research that is challenging this thought. There are some tarantulas that are covered in bright blues and greens. For example, the Cobalt Blue tarantula of Myanmar and Thailand is a bright, beautiful sapphire blue. This is a truly gorgeous species of tarantula, to the human eye, but why would the tarantula produce a blue color if they themselves cannot see it?      In a research paper published in 2020, scientists analyzed the opsins in tarantula eyes. Opsins are light-sensitive proteins that are often present in animals that possess color vision. It was previously thought that these opsins would not be present in tarantulas but the scientists found some. This indicates that the tarantula can see in color, or at least some colors. We're not one hundred percent sure why these tarantulas are blue, but the current thought is that the color is used to attract mates. Studies have not been performed with brown, red, or orange colored tarantulas so we'll have to wait to find out if they can see in color. The closer you look at these amazing arachnids, the cooler they become. Am I right?    Let's move on to hearing. The question here is can tarantulas hear? H-E-A-R. (Laugh) Sorry bad pun. The answer is more complicated than just a yes or no, so let's discuss the details. Tarantulas do not have ears in the traditional sense, but they are capable of hearing.    As you have probably noticed tarantulas are pretty hairy. These hairs, or setae, are not just for looks, they are specialized structures that perform various functions for the tarantula. One of those functions is to detect vibrations. The setae on the legs are highly sensitive to air-borne vibrations. Quoting from a scientific paper published in Current Biology in November 2016 titled “Airborne Acoustic Perception by a Jumping Spider" these setae “are air-flow mechanoreceptors sensitive to the particle-velocity component of airborne stimuli”. Plainly said, the setae on the tarantula's legs vibrate when sound waves hit them and this transfers information from the environment to the tarantula. I think that's pretty cool!    (As a side note, this experiment was performed with jumping spiders, which are not a type of tarantula, but the setae of both arachnids are so similar that we can make educated assumptions that this ability also applies to tarantulas.)   What's even more amazing is that these setae can help the tarantula differentiate between predators and prey. According to scientific experiments, typical predators of tarantulas produce low-frequency sounds when they move. When those sounds hit the setae they vibrate at a specific rate. When the tarantula feels those vibrations they know they need to go into defense mode. Prey items produce different frequency sounds and when the setae vibrate at those rates the tarantula knows to go into hunting mode! I think it's outstanding that these little hair-like structures can do so much!   Next, let's investigate the tarantula's sense of touch. This sense is related to the setae that covers their whole body. Essentially the tarantula's entire body is one big sensory receptor. But it can be aided by the silk that they produce. Tarantulas that live in burrows often spin a flat web covering the ground that makes up the tunnels and chambers of their burrow. These webs help transmit vibrations to the tarantula's sensitive legs. It tells them when a larger predator may be present or when a smaller prey item is near by. This is the same for tarantulas that live in trees, our arboreal tarantulas, it's just not done on a burrow.    These setae are so sensitive that any movement in the air can provide information to the tarantula. A slight breeze, the flap of a predatory bird wing, or a rain drop can all impart important information through the sensitive setae covering the tarantula's body.   The last two senses are smell and taste. These are combined in the tarantula, or as far as we know they are (It is a bit difficult to ask them how that cockroach tastes), and once again these senses rely on the setae. The chelicerae and the pedipalps are the two anatomical structures most closely involved in taste and smell. For more information about those two anatomical structures, please listen to the first episode on anatomy. These two structures are covered in, you guessed it, setae, but these setae are different from the ones on their legs. These setae are chemoreceptors. The structure of the chemoreceptors is different from the setae used as mechanoreceptors that sense vibrations. The chemoreceptor setae are curved, double-layered, open to the environment at the end, and innervated at the base. This structure allows odors to infiltrate the setae so the tarantula can determine what they have encountered. Is it a prey item they wish to eat, a dirt clod or leaf they need to ignore, or the scent of a known predator they need to hide from?    It's been wild ride into the world of tarantula senses, and I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have because it is the second thing like about tarantulas.    If you're enjoying this podcast please recommend me to friends and family and take a moment to give me a rating on whatever platform your listening. It will help me reach more listeners and give the animals I talk about an even better chance at change.    Join me next week for another thing I like about tarantulas!   (Piano Music plays)  This has been an episode of Ten Things I like About with Kiersten and Company. Original music written and performed by Katherine Camp, piano extraordinaire.

Easily one of the most interesting conversations that I have been part of all week. EV, battery and infrastructure demands laid bare. Iggy Tan, CEO, Altech Chemicals and Joel Crane, Investor Relations & Commercial Manager, Cobalt Blue, talk about the realities of how public companies insert themselves into the European Car manufacturing ecosystem. Battery and car manufacturers are desperate to secure battery metals and technology supplies from now until 2030, and are struggling. Prices are being driven up by the lack of supply. Can companies like these two take advantage of that? And what support will they get from Europe to fund the development of their projects. Not many will get across the line so pay attention to the ones that will.

Cobalt Blue Holdings Ltd is an exploration and project development company focusing on advancing the Broken Hill Cobalt Project in New South Wales. The company’s commercial aim is to make battery-ready Cobalt sulphate from the pilot facility on a scale sufficient to provide test samples for global commercial partners. The pilot plant allows COB to produce varying specifications of Cobalt products, which are in strong demand for new generation batteries, particularly lithium-ion batteries now being widely used in clean energy systems. Cobalt Blue Holdings has an opportunity in Broken Hill where there is unique ore containing large amounts of Cobalt in the pyrite. The Broken Hill mine will be a large scale and long dated project, once in production, producing 17,000 tonnes of battery ready cobalt sulphate which makes it a world top 10 mine. The mine itself will provide sufficient Cobalt to enable over 5 million electric vehicles going forward. Cobalt Blue will be the first company to put all the processes together to produce battery ready Cobalt on a commercial scale. The pilot plant at Broken Hill is a replication of a commercial scale operation. It is an open cut mining operation which produces Cobalt which is processed into battery ready Cobalt. The plant has been designed to run the process which was successfully modelled at laboratory scale at 90%+ Cobalt recovery and will now optimise and prove the processing economics and efficiency of the process at pilot scale. The pilot plant aims to extract every last percentage of Cobalt on a cost comparative basis with any mine in the world. Cobalt Blue will optimise the process at the pilot plant for commercial scale before they step up to the demonstration scale which is due to be commissioned to start in Q1 2022. The demonstration plant will then produce the Cobalt on a larger scale to show repeatability, proof and confidence for investors and partners getting involved in the pilot plant going forward. Cobalt Blue Holdings has 32 partners involved in the battery industry who are interested in Cobalt samples from the pilot plant. These partners intend to supply batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage systems. The Broken Hill project has a flexible production strategy to enable production of an intermediate product or a final battery ready Cobalt sulphate product so can provide different specifications for different markets. Broken Hill has the benefit of being an established mining town and so has the people and the infrastructure to support the mine. The project is standout in terms of ethical jurisdiction and is a low cost project in comparison to other mines. Company page: https://www.cobaltblueholdings.com/ Explore More Here: https://cruxinvestor.com Join our Club's waitlist: https://cruxinvestor.com/club For FREE unbiased investment information, follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook: https://twitter.com/cruxinvestor https://www.linkedin.com/company/crux-investor/ https://www.facebook.com/cruxinvestor If you got value from this interview, please subscribe.

Laughs, insights, analysis, and intimate acoustic performances from Rik, including Burt Bacharach's "Alfie" and a breakdown of Marcus King's "Goodbye Carolina", concluding with a composition of his own, "Cobalt Blue". A conversation with Joe Kaderavek, CEO of Cobalt Blue Holdings (ASX: COB).Following on from our conversation with Joe Kaderavek a few weeks ago, just out of surgery that morning, he tells us about Cobalt Blue Holdings and how the intend to find their place in the Cobalt market. Kaderavek is ex- Deutsche bank financier, head of resources, and is all too aware of project like this get funded and what they need in place to get it. We were impressed by his acumen, understanding of the market and the ability to articulate their business plan. And they continue to deliver on-time and on-schedule.Cobalt Blue Holdings is a relatively advanced project. They have a pilot plant underway which is financed. Formed in 2016. Listed in 2017. Their Broken Hill project is main focus. It is a large but low-grade project. The management teams believes that if they can make this a sulphide project they can keep their capital costs low. 90% recovery and sulphur as by-product. Maybe they have something. The pilot plant is going to allow them to show the technical merit and more important that the economics of the project stand up.Cobalt is an idiosyncratic, complex and opaque market. And it is a very small market. Most people reference DRC ethical issues which produces 70% of the volume. Kaderavek runs us through the history of how cobalt and other metals are traded in the market. It's important to understand this before considering investing in to a cobalt company. He tells us how traders make money. How will companies source ethical cobalt from going forward. We discuss why the cobalt market is volatile. What stresses the cobalt market?Cobalt Blue Holdings still has a lot do but they are clear about the path and what they need to do to get there. They are working towards the delivery of a Feasibility Study in the next 18-months, but Kaderavek recognises the need to be an economic story that will get funded. That is what they are focused on.Company page: https://www.cobaltblueholdings.com/Make smarter investment decisions, subscribe here: https://www.cruxinvestor.comFor FREE unbiased investment information, follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook:https://twitter.com/cruxinvestorhttps://www.linkedin.com/company/crux-investor/https://www.facebook.com/cruxinvestorTake advantage, hear it here first: https://www.youtube.com/CRUXinvestor

A conversation with Joe Kederavek, CEO of Cobalt Explorer and Developer, Cobalt Blue Holdings (ASX: COB) . Do I invest in Cobalt mining companies now? Let's understand the market first, and see if I buy in to the thesis for Cobalt as part of future Battery design and the Electric Vehicle revolution.Kaderavek, an engineer, banker and hedge fund manager by background, explains to us the make-up and construction of the Supply / Demand economics of the Cobalt market. First surprising fact is Cobalt is a small market; 125,000t - 130,000t of metal equivalent. The entire cobalt market is the size of one medium size cargo ship. The Cobalt market is more complicated than we realised. The problem is the opaque nature of the cobalt refining process business. We learn about how data is pulled together. This conversation gives us clues to help us make better investment decisions. Quite a few clues as it turns out. Understanding the cobalt sector's moving parts and players is always useful when piecing together your own investment thesis. We spend time talking about the Demand and Supply drivers and try to understand who controls the market. We get a take on how juniors can position themselves in the market, or not. What is cobalt used for? Does it have a future. And where does it fit in the future of battery design? We learn a lot. On May 2, 2017, I had the privilege of being invited to attend the https://news.microsoft.com/microsoft-event-may-2017/ (#LEARNWHATSNEXT) keynote produced by Microsoft. The first of its kind during Microsoft Satya Nadella's tenure as CEO, the keynote revolved around education and what Microsoft thinks the classroom of the future should look like. More than 20 educators from across the world representing Pre-K through University studies were invited to attend and meet with representatives from the Education team to share their thoughts about how this new direction for Microsoft can be implemented in their classrooms. Establishing a Laser Focused Philosophy for the FutureThe keynote started off with Nadella telling the story of how his grandfather started his journey into education and helped his father become an educated man. It was a powerful story. “Talent is everywhere, but the opportunity is now”. “Today's event is about education and technology . . . more importantly, it is about empowering the students today to create the world of tomorrow.” Throughout the opening remarks, Nadella kept referring to Microsoft's top priorities on education. The concept of teachers spending less time focusing on technology and more time doing what they love is a powerful example of the new direction that Microsoft and it's products will be headed in the future. One key to Nadella's speech was the focus on making sure that all learners are brought into the conversation. A Focus on students with Dyslexia and students who struggle with reading and writing is clearly at the heart of Microsoft future. It was very clear after spending 2 amazing days with the team from Microsoft Education that this wasn't just a product launch, rather it was a philosophy launch. The motto of Nadella and the entire Microsoft team is clear now more than ever. https://www.teachercast.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Microsoft-Motto.png () Windows 10 SThis summer, a new education-focused operating will be launched called Windows 10 S. What does the S stand for? Some say Safety, Security, Simplicity, or perhaps Streamlined. As it was described at the keynote the S was added because it adds a little bit of Soul to the Windows experience. Windows 10 S essentially puts a safe and secure shell on an already powerful and robust Windows 10 environment. This means students will experience better battery, better browsing, and a much faster experience logging into their devices. By default Windows 10 S actives the powerful Edge web browser that has also received some notable upgrades such as a Tab Preview Bar and the ability for users to use inking technologies to write and annotate directly on websites and videos. https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2017/05/02/microsoft-education-empowering-students-teachers-today-create-world-tomorrow/#FCYGCMcTRHjbjM4W.97 (Learn more about the new Windows 10 S Here) New Devices For All AgesNew Laptops Starting at $189There were two big announcements about hardware. The first was the addition of several inexpensive students focused laptops starting at just $189. All of these PC's feature Windows 10 S and a dynamic touch screen experience. To bring these devices to market, Microsoft teamed up with Acer, ASUS, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Samsung, and Toshiba. Surface LaptopIn addition to the slate of inexpensive touch screen devices, Microsoft closed the keynote with a brand new device called the Surface Laptop. Starting at only $999, the Surface Laptop completes and compliments a very successful line of Windows 10 devices that include the Surface Pro, Surface Book, and Surface Studio. The Surface Laptop provides 14 hours of battery on it's 7th generation Intel Core Processor and comes in 4 beautiful colors (Platinum, Burgundy, Cobalt Blue, and Graphite Gold). I was able to spend some quality time with these computers and in addition to being very lightweight,...
