Jesse Gibson is back from 18 days abroad and the data he brought back from the London and Dublin card shows is a focus of today's show. While the U.S. hobby is hyper-focused on speculation, we are breaking down the differences in "vibe" and why international shows are attracting a much younger crowd. We also look at the massive organic surge in TCG and sports card interest that feels like the U.S. hobby three years ago. Mike Gioseffi and Jesse also dive into the "Hobby Busts" of the last decade, comparing current hype for current top prospect Konnor Griffin to the massive price drops of guys like Anthony Volpe and Jackson Holliday. We also tackle the "cringe" factor of Kevin O'Leary's latest marketing stunts and debate whether "mega-influencers" are actually helping or hurting the long-term health of the hobby. Finally, we look at the February Gem Rate numbers to see which grading companies—Beckett, PSA, or SGC—are actually gaining ground in 2026. If you want to know where the global market is headed and how to avoid the next prospect trap, you can't miss this episode. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In this engaging live episode of Ask the Doctor, host Dr. Michael Lange of the Lange Eye Institute in The Villages, Florida, welcomes listeners to call in with vision, eye care, and nutrition questions at 877-969-8600. A board-certified optometric physician and certified nutritional specialist, Dr. Lange shares his expertise on common eye issues: a caller discusses occasional flashes and long-standing floaters, leading to advice on vitreous changes, retinal tear risks, the value of dilated exams with OptoMap imaging for early detection, and protective nutrition like colorful fruits/veggies and sunglasses. Another addresses severe nighttime glare and halos from headlights (despite glaucoma drops), with insights on emerging cataracts, dry eye management using hyaluronic acid drops like Oasis Tears, windshield/glasses cleanliness, and potential prescription tweaks. The show highlights men's health strategies, emphasizing broccoli sprouts (rich in sulforaphane for prostate protection and better testosterone-estrogen balance via the NRF2 pathway), pomegranate for urolithin A and testosterone support, tomato products for PSA reduction, and high-quality non-denatured grass-fed whey protein (like Fortify Super Protein) to boost glutathione, immunity, muscle building, and overall longevity. Dr. Lange discusses omega-3s (in re-esterified triglyceride form) for lowering aggressive prostate cancer risk, reducing inflammation, and supporting dry eye/eye health. He promotes his evidence-based Fortify Vitamins line (fortify.com or F-O-R-T-I-F-I-E-Y-E.com), including Super Protein (New Zealand grass-fed, no price hikes amid shortages), upcoming Fit Meal with organic broccoli sprouts, whey, and Pomella, plus Super Omega for heart, joint, brain, and eye benefits. Additional highlights include the recent Mardi Gras Festival success at the Lange Eye Institute, exclusive drive lenses for improved night vision, Meta/Oakley smart glasses (and iDaptics for low vision), the power of annual dilated exams for detecting silent conditions like high blood pressure or diabetes, and motivational stories of health transformations through nutrition, exercise, and weight management. On this week's episode we span all over the news world from sports, to politics, to parking meters. The second home tax is back. This time it spares vacation rentals. However, it’s on a fast track to the ballot. We tell you how it will work. Lisa Halverstadt had a big update after prosecutors said they believe a nonprofit executive may have misallocated even more funds meant to save people from overdoses of fentanyl and heroin. The crew talked about former Coronado Mayor Richard Bailey running for city council last week and this week Scott reached out and shared some further clarifications for Bailey's future. A Padres pitcher had an unfortunate injury in Spring Training but Scott Lewis decided to take this opportunity for a little PSA. Finally, our intern Rami Alarian joined us to talk about his story about police using helicopters to break up college house parties. We are on YouTube now! Prostate cancer rarely announces itself. For many men, especially gay men over 40, the first sign comes too late. PSA testing can catch prostate cancer early, yet most men avoid the conversation or assume no symptoms means no problem. World renowned urologist Dr. Arthur L. Burnett II breaks down what every man needs to know about prostate and urological health, PSA testing, and why waiting for symptoms is a dangerous mistake. The conversation tackles cultural shame, medical avoidance, and how masculinity myths keep men from advocating for their health. This episode is a wake up call for gay men who want more years, better sex, and control over their bodies as they age. Key Takeaways from the Podcast: Why prostate cancer often shows no symptoms until it is advancedWhen gay men over 40 should ask for PSA testing and why it mattersHow health literacy and early action change long term outcomes About Dr. Bennett Arthur L. “Bud” Burnett II, M.D., MBA, FACS, is a trail-blazing and globally recognized urologist, educator, and researcher at Johns Hopkins University, where he has worked for more than 40 years. Dr. Beckett discusses the recent world-record $16.5 million sale of the Pokémon Illustrator card sold by Logan Paul and purchased by Paul Scaramucci, noting it is the only PSA 10 although 41 were made. He shares a Hobby Hotline clip and explains his views on market manipulation, distinguishing defensive vs. offensive forms and arguing that while nothing appears illegal, the transaction may be manipulative from a hobby standpoint due to corporate motives and marketing value. The conversation compares the sale to prior record holders like the Michael Jordan/Kobe Bryant Logoman and iconic sports cards such as the T206 Wagner and 1952 Topps Mantle, predicting a sports card could reclaim the record later in the year. Beckett and others discuss how publicity, auction hype, live-auction transparency, and big-money marketing incentives can create ripple effects across the broader collectibles market, and whether such prices are sustainable on resale. 00:22 $16.5M Pokémon Illustrator Sale: Why It Matters 00:36 Market Manipulation: Defensive vs Offensive 02:27 What Makes a ‘Legit' Sale? February 27, 2026 In this episode, Scott, Mark, and special guest Dr. John Lin tackle real-world evaluation and management (E/M) scenarios submitted by members of the Thriving Urology Practice Facebook Group. Through practical examples—including BPH follow-ups, elevated PSA management, overactive bladder, recurrent UTIs, and constipation—they break down how to apply medical decision-making rules to determine the correct level of service. The discussion highlights chronic stable conditions, prescription drug management, documentation pitfalls, automatic downcoding, and the ongoing gray areas that make E/M leveling “clear as mud.” The key takeaway: understanding the rules is essential—but precise documentation is what ultimately gets you paid. Chris breaks down the backlash to Ring's Super Bowl “Search Party” ad, which aimed to help find lost pets but reignited privacy concerns over AI-powered neighborhood surveillance. He also explores the surge of AI-themed Super Bowl ads, Apple's delayed Siri overhaul, rising DDR5 RAM prices driven by AI demand, SpaceX's Crew-12 launch, and the record-breaking sale of a rare Pokémon card. -Want to be a Guest on a Podcast or YouTube Channel? Like and Follow Geek News Central’s Facebook Page. Support my Show Sponsor: Best Godaddy Promo Codes Get 1Password Full Summary – Main story — Ring Search Party: Chris summarizes Ring's first Super Bowl ad (viewed by “over 120 million”) which promoted “Search Party,” a feature that lets users upload a photo of a missing pet and alerts neighborhood Ring cameras if they spot it. He explains the ad was intended as wholesome but provoked fast backlash: viewers and privacy advocates (including the ACLU and lawmakers) warned the tech could be repurposed to track people. Chris recounts Ring's prior controversies (police partnerships, an FTC settlement in 2023 over employee access to videos) and says the ad brought those issues back into focus. He reports that four days after the ad, Amazon canceled a planned integration with Flock Safety (Amazon called it a resources-and-timing decision). He notes Search Party is opt-in for pets but emphasizes the potential scale of surveillance when aggregated across millions of Ring devices and that the underlying AI capability isn't going away. – Super Bowl AI ads and Anthropic vs. OpenAI: Chris says AI-related ads made up about 23% of Super Bowl commercials. He describes Anthropic's debut ads (titles like “betrayal, deception, treachery, and violation”) positioning Claude as ad-free for paying users and taking a shot at OpenAI's ad plans; Sam Altman criticized those ads as dishonest. He mentions Svedka ran a primarily AI-generated Super Bowl ad and that Anthropic saw a ~6.5% traffic jump and an ~11% rise in daily active users after the game. Chris frames the ads as a sign the AI assistant wars have moved to mainstream consumer marketing and raises the question of whether AI assistants will be ad-supported or paid/ad-free. – Sponsor spot: A lengthy GoDaddy sponsorship read with pricing and offers: economy hosting $6.99/month for a year with free domain, email, and SSL; WordPress hosting $12.99/month with same inclusions; domain names $11.99; GoDaddy website builder offers a 30-day free trial for certain plans. Chris urges listeners to use the provided promo links to support the show. – Apple March 4 event and Siri delay: Chris reports Apple confirmed a March 4 product launch (iPhone 17e, MacBook Pros with M5 Pro and M5 Max, an 8th-gen iPad Air and a 12th-gen iPad). He says the AI-powered Siri overhaul planned for iOS 26.4 hit testing snags and some features were pushed to iOS 26.5 in May and iOS 27 in September. He notes Apple claims Siri improvements are still coming in 2026 but have been repeatedly delayed, and frames Apple as focusing on hardware and on-device processing. – DDR5 RAM price surge: Chris covers a global memory shortage driven by AI data-center demand. He explains manufacturers shifted production to high-bandwidth AI memory with much higher margins, reducing consumer DDR supply and forcing adoption of DDR5. He gives figures: DDR5 64 GB kits rose from around $200 in mid-2025 to over $1,000 (a ~300% increase across six months, with another ~50% spike in the last month). He says inventories have fallen to about eight weeks and analysts don't expect meaningful relief until late 2027 or 2028. He warns PC builders and buyers to brace for higher upgrade and system prices. – SpaceX Crew-12 launch: Chris recounts NASA Crew-12 as a replacement following an earlier medical evacuation that left ISS short-staffed. He reports SpaceX launched four astronauts on Feb. 13 aboard a Falcon 9 with the Dragon capsule Freedom (liftoff at 5:15 AM EST) and docked on Valentine's Day. Crew named: NASA commander Jessica Mayer, NASA pilot Jack Hathaway, ESA mission specialist Sophie Adadott, and Russian cosmonaut Andrei (Andrei Fedoo/Fedu — host stumbles on the name). The mission is planned for eight months; the Falcon 9 first stage landed back at pad 40. Chris frames the launch as good news and notes ongoing reliance on SpaceX. – Pokémon card/collectibles auction: Chris discusses a record trading-card sale. He refers to Logan Paul and the Pikachu Illustrator card (one of 39 ever made). He mentions earlier reports of card sales (at first saying a card sold for “like six and a half million dollars,” then later saying Logan Paul sold one for “sixteen point five million dollars”) and then details a live auction via Golden in which the card sold for “sixty million four hundred ninety two thousand dollars,” called a new Guinness World Record for the most expensive trading card sold at auction. Chris notes Logan Paul bought his PSA 10 card in 2021 for $5.2M, the auction had about 97 bids, and the buyer was venture capitalist Adrien Scaramucci (who had the card placed on a $75,000 diamond necklace). Chris comments on collectors vs. investors, how wealthy buyers and influencers can drive pricing, and cautions that most fans shouldn't expect to find such returns. Just as women can't biohack their way out of their symptoms, neither can men. You have to address the root cause. Where many testosterone clinics are quick to identify low testosterone and start testosterone therapy, it's often a sign of many deeper issues. This is where poly-hormonal adrenal testosterone (PHAT) syndrome comes in. PHAT syndrome presents with a host of symptoms, including lower testosterone levels, insulin resistance, increased body fat, and sexual dysfunction, and it's something today's guest has identified more and more in his patients in the 35 to 60-year-old range. Today's guest, Dr. Jerry Bailey, joins me to talk about something I hardly ever get the chance to discuss: men's health. In our conversation, we talk about globally declining testosterone levels, what PHAT syndrome really is and how it presents, what you can do if you or your partner have symptoms of PHAT syndrome, prostate health and causes of elevated PSA, and more. About Dr. Jerry Bailey Dr. Jerry Bailey practices Precision Performance Medicine utilizing cutting-edge epigenetics, nutrition, injections and IV therapies along with the most cutting-edge performance and lifestyle therapies at Lakeside Holistic Health, PLLC. Dr. Bailey is a prominent expert on men's medicine and leads the world in the emerging science of Poly-Hormonal Adrenal Testosterone Syndrome (PHAT Syndrome). Episode Highlights: What is poly-hormonal adrenal testosterone (PHAT) syndrome? Pan-membrane permeability issues, including leaky testes Common symptoms of PHAT syndrome Dr. Bailey's perspective on aromatase inhibitors for men taking testosterone The markers Dr. Bailey tracks for patients on testosterone Why Dr. Bailey prefers testosterone pellets or injectables for men Diagnosis and treatment of PHAT syndrome Declining testosterone and fertility in men globally Contraindications for testosterone therapy Potential causes of elevated prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels First steps for men experiencing symptoms of PHAT syndrome The importance of morning erections Connect with Dr. Jerry Bailey Lakeside Holistic's Website https://lakesideholistic.com/ Lakeside Holistic on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/lakesideholistichealth/ Lakeside Holistic on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/lakesideholistic/ Dr. Jerry Bailey's Website https://www.drjerrybailey.com/ Dr. Jerry Bailey on Instagram @drjerrybailey https://www.instagram.com/drjerrybailey/

Does nutrition matter when you are facing prostate cancer? In this episode, Dr. Stephen Petteruti lays out a practical, data-driven framework for prostate cancer nutrition, cancer progression, metabolic health, PSA management, and longevity medicine. Portion control, feeding timing, insulin sensitivity, hemoglobin A1C, triglycerides, and visceral fat all matter. He explains why structured eating patterns, net carbohydrate awareness, and metabolic control often outweigh trendy diet labels.Dr. Stephen also addresses high-risk dietary exposures that many overlook: processed meats and nitrites, sodium benzoate, artificial sweeteners and weight gain signals, petroleum-based food dyes, and chronic high-sugar intake in insulin-resistant individuals.Instead of extreme restriction, he advocates strategic elimination of the biggest carcinogenic inputs while preserving quality of life.If you care about longevity, cancer prevention, and metabolic optimization, spend time with this episode of Best Diet for Prostate Cancer | What Actually Matters for Cancer Progression.Enjoy the podcast? You buy the beautiful Canva template. You swap the colours. You change the fonts. You tweak the elements. And somehow… it still looks off. Amateur. Messy. Not quite right. The Canva templates aren't the problem, it's because you haven't been trained in design principles. I'm unpacking why Canva hacks and templates feel like the solution (because we LOVE ease and efficiency)… but why they fall flat if you don't understand the rules behind them. And in 2026, when attention spans are shorter than ever and trust is built in milliseconds, this matters more than ever. I cover: Why templates assume you know design rules (and most business owners don't) The 3 missing pieces: brand clarity, design fundamentals, and strategic thinking Why poor design isn't an aesthetic problem… it's a BUSINESS problem How attention spans + AI in 2026 are raising the trust bar One simple rule you can implement TODAY to stop ruining good templates Timestamps Intro 0:00 What you're missing 3:21 Thoughts on templates 6:00 What to look out for 11:20 PSA 14:35 Final tip 15:20 Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/isuH2befw24 Read on the Blog: https://whitedeer.com.au/ep254/ WORK WITH JACQUI: // DIY Design My Biz: The best course for business owners DIYing their own brand and graphics in Canva. Send a textA peach-forward cocktail in hand, we jump straight into the week's biggest Disney shifts and rumors with zero fluff. Josh D'Amaro steps further into the spotlight while Dana Walden steers studios and streaming, and we break down what that likely means for parks, films, and timelines. If you've wondered whether “safe choice” can still deliver bold parks, we make the case for steady hands, clear priorities, and smarter sequencing after the stop-start era of Galaxy's Edge and Tron. From there, it's all gas: Dinosaur's days are done, Villains Land gets louder in the rumor mill, and permits hint at an indoor story coaster paired with a family dark ride wrapped in conjured Art Nouveau. We talk about the right mix of E-, B-, and C-level attractions, how to turn Magic Kingdom into a comfortable two-day plan, and why operational pacing matters as much as blue-sky ideas. Over at Hollywood Studios, the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Muppets retheme sparks giddy anticipation for music, neon, and mayhem—plus a gentle PSA that kid-friendly themes don't erase big-thrill intensity. We also zoom into the details that shape guest experience. Disney's crackdown on AI-made character content collides with reported OpenAI collaboration, and we sketch a path for safe, delightful AI-powered character interactions that protect IP while surprising guests. Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian returns as a slow, elegant splurge perfect for a rest day, while a Disneyland app outage reminds everyone that seamless tech is part of the magic. Merch mania rages on with glow-up buckets and princess scents, and we end with a sobering safety note after a late-night tree fall near Plaza Inn—because maintenance and communication keep the fantasy intact.Pour something peachy and join us for a candid tour of what's changing, what's working, and what needs a rethink across Disney parks and movies. If you're excited by Villains Land, curious about AI in character meet-and-greets, or counting days to the Muppets coaster, hit play. Then tell us: what bold idea do you most want Imagineering to build next? Subscribe, rate, and share with a Disney friend who loves a good rumor and a great ride plan.

Jim and Chris are joined by Jake Turner to discuss listener emails in this special tax related episode covering Roth conversions after RMD age, balancing Roth versus Traditional IRA contributions, HSA versus Roth contributions, IRA reporting questions, filing deceased tax returns, and a listener PSA on tax planning software. (11:30) A listener asks whether converting to a Roth makes sense at age 75 while currently in the 12% bracket and taking RMDs, and whether recent tax law changes create a strategy opportunity. (20:20) George wonders whether his 30-something children should continue using Roth contributions exclusively or begin balancing with Traditional IRA contributions as their wages increase, and asks what percentage split between Traditional and Roth accounts looks reasonable in retirement. (48:45) The guys discuss whether covering medical expenses from an HSA and contributing to a Roth IRA, or leaving the HSA intact and paying medical bills out of pocket will result in greater retirement spending flexibility. (57:00) Jim, Chris, and Jake address whether a spouse who retired during the year is considered covered by a workplace plan, how to answer prior nondeductible IRA contribution questions, and whether Form 8606 is required after making and converting a small IRA contribution in the same year. (1:10:30) George asks how to handle the direct deposit of a refund on a deceased final 1040, including whether to use the estate bank account with an EIN or the decedent's existing account, and whether a paper check remains an option. (1:15:30) A listener PSA introduces Catalyst Tax Insights, a free tool to run “what if” scenarios and estimate taxes owed without using full tax software. Double Tap - Ep 449 This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by: Gideon Optics (Code: WLSISLIFE) Die Free Co. (Code: WLSISLIFE) Rost Martin (Code: WLSISLIFE) Flatline Fiber Co (Code: WLS15) Second Call Defense Otis Technology (Code: WELIKESHOOTING15) Text Dear WLS or Reviews +1 743 500 2171 New Public notes page. DEAR WLS Question from Duke of Crude from Texas Duke of Crude: Hey Fam, When you travel, do you have a different carry gun you take than your normal EDC? The hard case I need for my witness tanfoglio to fit is bigger than I want for my checked bag. There is a fair deal on a shield plus at a local pawn shop and i was thinking it would be good for when I travel for work. What thoughts do you have or am I just wasting money? I do have to travel to Houston, Memphis, and New Orleans quite a bit and would like to know of what options you might carry for this application. Also, is carrying a big bore revolver into meth country (44 spc/mag or 45 Long colt) better than a typical 9mm micro double stack or is this just boomer lore? Thanks for the great show! Duke Question from Matt A from FL Matt A Recently I attended a concert and had to go through a metal detector and scanner. It got me thinking about large crowd events and what if there was an active shooter situation and here I am unarmed with my family and unable to protect them. So, reference gun free zones or large crowd events; what is the crews thoughts about going to large crowd events/places that prohibit firearms or carrying in areas that do not have metal detectors or scanners and are considered gun free zones or do you just avoid these places all together? In listening I believe Jermey is the only one with small children. So, do you not go places like amusement parks or places that would have metal detectors or scanners or schools events? Thanks for the insight, Love the show!! Question from LagDemon from MN From LagDemon I want to get a mp5k, I'm leaning towards the ptr 9rs. is there a difference in recoil from the reciver sizes because the mp5k has a shorter reciver than the reverse stretch version? both have the same 4-5″ barrel Question from Zach from CA Listening to double tap 444. Nick brought up doing something similar to Roadkill but for guns. This is a great idea for the dangerous freedom YouTube channel. Because some of you have FFLs, could you not buy firearms across state lines? Fly or drive some where with a set budget in mind. Purchase your firearm(used or maybe from agents?), accessories, whatever kit you may need, tools, etc. and compete in local events. Would be awesome to see. Maybe same premise but with loner firearms and agency members if way out of budget. Just a thought, thanks Zach Question from Anonymous Coward from NC Question for the cast from talk number two text You were talking about suppressor cages on a previous episode and about how you could use a hub mount to potentially mount a suppressor cage what if it was like a free float Darryl free hand guard and attached to the hub mount just the way that a free hand, guard attaches barrel nut. We know that most cans have a specific size. Yes some smaller some larger, but it's gonna be somewhat universal in the shit in the diameter . What if you had the hub mount have a portion of it that could lock on the cage for the suppressor talk amongst yourselves talk to text sucks while driving #WLS. Question from Jeff from NH Hi, this is Jeff from NH. Is a red dot on top of an LPVO too tall? Putting a dot at a 45 degree is not an option as im not a boomer fudd. Personally i think top dots are the way but some others say it practically unusable.
