Hey, Trump got convicted! Hey, it doesn't matter at all, no really, at all. In other news, the Israeli embassy in Mexico City was set ablaze. What do we know from the frontlines of this protest? How did it escalate? Good news! These folks were found innocent in a case of occupying an Elbit Systems weapons factory using the defense of protecting Palestinians...way before October 7th. Meanwhile, more people are quitting the Biden administration as they realize that gen0cide is bad. PLUS, the US lied about aid reaching Palestinians (shocker), how tight Chevron is with Israel, and more! leecamp.net artkillingapathy.com

Idea: A large battering ram for police to use to conduct raids where their body is safely inside the bulletproof battering ram. Also: a dog-like or centipede-like battering ram with robotic legs where one cop lays down inside of it; a multi-person parade-dragon-style battering ram where their upper bodies are inside of it and their lower bodies are protected by bulletproof boots and bulletproof hoop skirts; it could also be used for animal control, firefighters, or for camping inside of it; it's kind of like an above-ground version of that ill-fated deep-water submarine if it was powered by the Flintstones Mark Hamilton (facebook.com/mgamarkhamilton instagram.com/markhamilton6352) Tommy Cook (instagram.com/tommycooklol https://tommycooklol.carrd.co/) Angela Verges (facebook.com/angela.verges https://linktr.ee/HottFlash) Tom Walma (https://creativitywasted.com twitter.com/thomaswalma twitch.tv/gameymcfitness) This podcast is part of Planet Ant Podcasts (https://planetantpodcasts.com) This podcast is powered by Pinecast.

GUEST: TOM ASCOL, Senior Pastor, Grace Baptist Church (Cape Coral, FL)In 1 Timothy 2, the apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote to the younger pastor Timothy regarding the authority structure God established for the church:“A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness. But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.” (1 Timothy 2:11-14).This passage of Scripture and others, like the following chapter in 1 Timothy 3 establishes that pastors/elders in the church must be men of exemplary character, are under assault today as an all-out-battering-ram-like push is being made from many directions to integrate women as pastors in professed Bible-believing churches.Take the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) for example, which is the largest Protestant denomination in America with 47,000 member churches. The SBC recently “disfellowshipped” its most prominent church—Saddleback in southern California—because its former pastor Rick Warren appointed three female pastors and then a husband and wife co-pastor team to replace him. This may sound like the SBC holding the line on clear biblical teaching…but not so fast. Rick Warren has vowed to appeal the decision at the upcoming SBC Annual Meeting on June 11-12 in New Orleans where many expect the “messengers” (i.e. attendees) to vote on the matter.Frankly, there is nothing to vote on when God's word makes it abundantly clear, both in doctrine and historic practice, that pastors are to be men, while there are many other complementary and important roles for women in the church. To be very clear, the issue of female pastors is not about capability but about trust in and obedience to God's design for the authority structure he has established in the church and home.Tom Ascol, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral, FL and president of Founders Ministries, an organization “committed to encouraging the recovery of the gospel and the biblical reformation of local churches” is our guest this weekend on The Christian Worldview. Tom finished second in last year's SBC presidential vote and has been a voice of fidelity to God's word and the gospel.

The Power & The Glory - Video Anthology. This week we are talking about trains, specifically the many deaths they have caused in the UK over the past 200 or so years. Starting with an unfortunate incident with a former leader of the House of Commons we make our way to the biggest railway disaster, which took place just North of London seventy years ago this October. We should all just be thankful that there was an American on hand....Guest Host: Emma Heathcote (and her glass of wine) Our GDPR privacy policy was updated on August 8, 2022. Season 5 Episode 30 went out live on Rebel Rock Radio on 28 July 2022. Once again showcasing the more sophisticated start to the show we kicked off with ZZ Top off a newly released album called RAW. This was the soundtrack to their Sam Dunn (Of a Headbangers Journey fame)produced 2019 Netflix rockumentary That ‘lil old band from Texas'. I haven't seen it but will do so soon. It's released as a tribute to Dusty Hill who sounds awesome on this track. Next up is a cool bit of Whitesnake off Love Hunter released back in 1979. We checked out some Black Sabbath with a track called 'Peace of Mind' and then Aerosmith with Steven Tyler singing about his favourite colour. ‘Tired Wings' by The Four Horseman was a breath of fresh air and I briefly told the tragic story of that band. The track came off the Rick Rubin produced album called Nobody Said it Was Easy, ain't that the truth? Queensrÿche with ‘Child of Fire' sounded absolutely better than ever and it was cool to hear something of Iron Maiden's debut album again. Paul Di Anno on vocals and a track called ‘Strange World'. The thing I love about doing these live shows is you can really create something out of nothing, as it wore on things sounded better and better. Infanteria, a metal band out of Cape Town hit us hard with 'Raging Bastards' off their new album Patriarch. The next track ‘Battering Ram' by Saxon may well be the best track they have ever done, sheer power, metal at its best. We caught some Pat Travers and his track ‘Snortin' Whisky', I have changed my message about this track, and new advice is offered now that I have had pause to reflect. Next up, the wonderful Neal Young and his uber cool track 'Revolution Blues', check out that lyric. We checked out 3Teeth, which is very Mansonesque so we checked out Marilyn Manson, the Double MM himself off The Born Villain album. Rory Gallagher made an appearance with ‘Bad Penny' and then it was time for ACDC, making a rare appearance on TSORR with 'Evil Walks' lol. As always, we got a bit punky with Blink 182 and The Stranglers and threw in The Polices ‘So Lonely' lest we forget how good the '77 to '79 period really was. Then we had a flurry of Ss in the form of Seether, Sixx A.M., and Slipknot. "Time are few boys" as one of my teachers used to say, so we ended up with a bit of Volbeat and checked out with Judas Priest and an iconic moment in Rock when My Chemical Romance played out with 'Famous Last Words' and announced that the Black Parade was dead, we are still all crying. Artists featured: ZZ Top, Whitesnake, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath. Ivan Ivankovic, The Four Horsemen, Queensrÿche, Iron Maiden, Infanteria, Saxon, Nevada Beach, Pat Travers Band, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Megadeth, Running Wild, Ozzy Osbourne, 3Teeth, Marilyn Manson, Rory Gallagher, ACDC, Dave Hause, Theory of a Deadman, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Keel, Blink 182, The Police, The Stranglers, Seether, Sixx A.M. Slipknot, My Chemical Romance.

Episode 1029. Music Commentary about the wonderful world of Heavy Metal Music.
As Putin's war shakes up the world economy, the Fed last week raised interest rates by a quarter point and penciled in six more increases by the end of the year. Fed Chair Jerome Powell says he's ready to do whatever it takes to bring inflation down, including following the example of his predecessor Paul Volcker, who increased interest rates to 20 percent in 1981.Volcker's rate rise triggered a deep recession and double-digit unemployment. We can debate whether that harsh medicine in 1981 was necessary. What should be clear is that the current inflation is nothing like the inflation of the late 1970s — a time when nearly a quarter of all private-sector workers were unionized and American corporations couldn't easily outsource production. Today, only 6 percent of private-sector workers are unionized — which means workers have almost no long-term bargaining leverage. And today American corporations can outsource almost anywhere (although China is becoming more complicated, and Russia is now off limits).Inflation is running almost 8 percent annually, which is surely a problem. But it's not due to permanent wage or price hikes. In fact, it has nothing to do with the business cycle. So expecting the Federal Reserve to remedy today's inflation by raising interest rates to slow the economy is like trying to cool off on a hot day by aiming a battering ram at your head. Wrong diagnosis. Wrong remedy. The current inflation is the consequence of a perfect storm of unique events that won't recur — and won't be remedied by higher rates. We're emerging from a once-a-century pandemic during which much of the world economy closed down. In March through May 2020, demand evaporated as people retreated into their homes. Because the nation's (and world's) productive capacity couldn't be closed down all at once (productive capacity includes factories, offices, warehouses, and so on, all of which take a while to wind down), the resulting excess of supply over demand caused a deep recession. Now, at the other end, and without much opportunity to buy for the last two years, American consumers are flush with cash (the national savings rate is at its highest level in decades). So they want to buy lots of stuff (and they haven't yet gone back to spending much on services such as restaurants, hotels, air travel, movies and other places where COVID reigned for two years). Yet the nation's (and the world's) productive capacity can't be fully operational all at once. The resulting excess of demand over supply is causing major inflation. That inflation is being driven by other unique events as well. In housing, the real engine of rising prices is demographics. The huge Millennial generation (the largest in American history), born in the 1980s, is now storming into the housing market after COVID closed their world for two years. Making matters worse, the Great Recession clobbered the construction industry, dramatically reducing the number of available houses to buy or rent. Energy prices are soaring mostly because of Putin's war (they were rising even in anticipation of it). So are food costs. (Russia and Ukraine together provide about one-quarter of all the planet's wheat exports.)Another culprit is the pricing power of big corporations. In a White House briefing last fall, National Economic Council Director Brian Deese noted that half of the overall increase in food prices is due to spikes in the cost of beef, pork, and poultry, which has fueled record profits among the four biggest producers that control most of the market. "It raises a concern about pandemic profiteering — about companies that are driving price increases in a way that hurts consumers who are going to the grocery store, and also isn't benefiting the actual producers — the farmers and the ranchers," Deese said.Profiteering is occurring over much of American industry, as I've chronicled on these pages, here and here.If you don't believe that corporations are taking advantage of their pricing power and inflation to raise prices, just listen to corporate executives themselves. The Chief Financial Officer of Constellation Brands, the parent company of Modelo and Corona beers, told investors in January that the company wants to “take as much as [we] can” from customers. (Publicly, however, the company has blamed rising material costs for their increased prices.) Here's another: The grocery food brand Hormel saw a 19 percent increase in their operating income in the first quarter of 2022. Their CFO's response to these soaring profits? “We've done a great job with our pricing.”Of course corporate financial officers want to brag about profits. But if their corporations were actually competing against other corporations in the same industry, they'd absorb cost increases in order to keep their prices as low as possible so consumers didn't abandon them. Today, however, corporations have been raising prices even as they rake in record profits by coordinating price hikes with the handful of other big companies in their industry. That way, all of them come out ahead — while consumers and workers lose.Raising interest rates won't remedy any of this. Which gets me back to trying to cool yourself down on a hot day by aiming a battering ram at your head. You won't get cooler. You'll only get a very bad headache. That's exactly what the Fed will do to the economy if it sticks to its plan. The Fed's rate hikes won't remedy inflation. They will do the opposite. Since World War II, most Fed rate hikes have resulted in recession. Over the longer term, it's necessary to attack the pricing power of big corporations in America who are profiteering off the pandemic. For now, it's best to ride out the perfect storm. We join up again to pontificate on the current happenings of the present day. Although we pray we are doing more than that, rather that we spur on the listener to love and good deeds. Love that follows God's guidelines. Good deeds that are bold and sometimes perhaps offensive. Hopefully it encourages you to go out and defy as well as obey, as unto God. The German fourth panzer army is attacking Stalingrad from the south, and the Sixth Army has swung to attack from the north west led by the Wehrmacht's Battering Ram, the 16th Panzer Division. Russian generals were taken by surprise by this dash from the Don. They were expecting the Germans to approach directly from the west and had built fortifications with that route in mind. Instead, General Paulus had pulled a fast one and his vanguard arrived at the northern suburbs by the afternoon of 23rd August. That was also the day in which the Luftwaffe had pulverised the city using carpet bombing as the main technique. 40 000 civilians were dead by the day's end, many caught at Mamaev Hill as we heard last week. The Germans had broken through to the Volga River on a five mile front in the north. By now the enormous city of around 600 000 and stretching for 30 miles along the Volga was enveloped in flames. Everything around was burning and collapsing. Sorrow and death had entered into thousands of Stalingrad homes as one commentator said. By midnight of 23rd August the 16th Panzer division on the outskirts of Stalingrad had outrun its support. Twelve miles behind them, the 3rd Motorised Division had halted for the night. 60th Motorised Division was ten miles behind the 3rd – bogged down in the giant traffic jam I mentioned last week. These three were now completely separated from each other like islands on the Russian Steppe. Until these were enjoined by the entire Sixth Army, they were extremely exposed and vulnerable to Soviet counter-attacks. General Hans Hube who commanded the 16th Panzer Division ordered his tanks to form themselves into a defensive perimeter called a hedgehog with the division's artillery covering a 360 degree front. In what was almost a miracle, Russian militia had dug interlocking strongpoints overnight. Some were dressed in their Sunday best and work clothes as they crouched behind their mortars and machine guns and challenged the finest tank army in the world. Their first target was Combat Group Krumpen who crumpled under their huge artillery bombardment, then unpainted T34s that had literally just been driven off the assembly line charged into battle on 24th catching Hube offguard. Back at HQ, Paulus received another shock. The 3rd Motorised Brigade had been ambushed while ransacking a Soviet freight train bursting with American Ford Trucks and Willies Jeeps. They were forced to create a hedgehog defensive position as the Russian 35th Guards Division poured down onto them from the North. The reckless counter attack, suicidal almost, extended the gap between the 3rd and the 60th motorised Divisions still further. In the south, the Russian 64th Army was causing the German Fourth Panzer army some difficulty and they failed to push through to the Volga which was the initial plan. Refugees were fleeing the city, crossing over the vast river in barges and small boats while German planes strafed these people. The fire that had started in the oil storage tanks opposite the city centre continued to burn as oil spread across the river engulfing some of these boats. The troops of the 64 and 62nd armies were deployed in a fighting retreat towards the city. The roads were crowded with refugees. Peasants from collective and state farms were moving – migrating really – the families traveling with their all-important livestock where they could. Russian general Chuikov was on board a boat traveling from the east bank of the Volga back to the city and was greeting by a scene at one of the main ferry piers which shook him.

In this episode Kimberly interviews a longstanding client about his sexless relationship and his ambivalence regarding his masculinity and sexual energy. He explains why he believes masculinity is inherently aggressive and predatory; and how his lifelong ambivalence about his masculinity made it difficult for him to express his erotic interests/needs in his relationship. He further explains how expectations (sexual and otherwise) feel burdensome to him. He recalls a story from his youth when a girl gave him ‘love notes’ at school and it made him angry and embarrassed because she ‘expected’ something from him that he could not (and did not want to) deliver. He candidly describes his ongoing struggles with intimacy and commitment. In her own special way, Kimberly facilitates an honest, compelling, and therapeutic dialogue that allows her client to share his sexual story with authenticity and humor.
A show where we listen to a heavy metal album, and then argue about it. Hosted by Antony Johnston and Brian LeTendre.
This week we have a special episode. No new whiskey reviews this week, but instead we dedicate the entire episode to Super Bowl LIII. That doesn't mean we aren't drinking though. Instead we have a couple of cocktails going head-to-head just like the Patriots and Rams will be. Our first cocktail is the official cocktail of the NE Patriots, called the Pride of the Patriots. After we have not the official cocktail of the LA Rams, called a Battering Ram. Recipes and additional show notes can be found at caskmatespodcast.com/super-bowl-liii While having our cocktails, we discuss all things Super Bowl LIII as well as the NFL Honors. We chat about the season in total and our predictions for both. Interspersed through it all, we are peppered with "Tim's Brady Facts." Thanks for listening and we'll be back for a regular whiskey review next week. Music is the NFL theme song by Scott Schreer
This week on Talk Back hosts Justin Gay and Eric Nesbit discuss the best teams in the NFL, the Vikings and Steelers off to a rocky start, Earl Thomas' salute to the Seahawks, surprising teams out of the gate, the USA's disastrous Ryder Cup, and NASCAR at the Charlotte Roval.
We continue today with Igor switching off all the controls to the laboratory equipment. One piece continues to fire until Igor comes down the stair and hits it. Then, he grabs what looks like test leads from a voltmeter and touches it to the metal salad bowl on Dr. Frankenstein's head. Even though we have been dealing with electricity once again, a close up of the doctor shows what looks like some liquid goop running through tubes. The tubes seem to be connected to a pump between him and is creature, who also wears a salad bowl on his head. Igor and Inga converse about the fact the transference should take 15 minutes; no more, no less. Outside the castle, Inspector Kemp becomes a battering ram, allowing the angry mob access to the castle. Before we conclude, we check in one last time with Malte Derks, our German counterpart to The Wilder Ride about the German words Kemp yells during the battering ram sequence. Joining us again today as our guest on the Wilder Ride is David Smith, one of the hosts on, Airplane Minute. Feel free to reach out to us anytime by going to our social media outlets or by using the contact form on our website. We are on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We hope you are enjoying being on this Wilder Ride!

Harvard beats Yale 6-0! Kicking off with a nod to untested football adventures in George Plimpton’s 1965 book Paper Tiger, in this Boltbucket episode Ted explores the captivating history behind the technologies of the modern football helmet. The journey begins as helmet-less dead bodies pile up on the fields of 1905 Ivey League football games, with the founder of naval carrier aviation coming to the rescue (eventually). As football helmet manufacturers Schutt and Riddell ramp up on mid-century helmet technology, legendary Cleveland Brown’s coach Paul Brown invents even better gear to save his star quarterback. Ted also reveals who designed star NFL defensive end Justin Tuck’s bizarre face mask while he peers into the startling future of the American football helmet.

Introduced by Peter Donaldson, Edited and Mixed at dBs Music'I have written a blasphemous book', said Melville when his novel was first published in 1851, 'and I feel as spotless as the lamb'. Deeply subversive, in almost every way imaginable, Moby-Dick is a virtual, alternative bible - and as such, ripe for reinterpretation in this new world of new media. Out of Dominion was born its bastard child - or perhaps its immaculate conception - the Moby-Dick Big Read: an online version of Melville's magisterial tome: each of its 135 chapters read out aloud, by a mixture of the celebrated and the unknown, to be broadcast online, one new chapter each day, in a sequence of 135 downloads, publicly and freely accessible.Starting 16 September 2012!For more info please go to: www.mobydickbigread.com

You are our battle axe and we glorify Your name as You break down all the walls of resistance. Ezekiel 26:9, “And he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers.” We are standing in Your Divine presence and power and are praying Ezekiel 4:2, ‘And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.” Jesus You are our Battering Ram set against the walls of our enemies. You are our Divine Military Engine that stands against the walls of every demon. I found a 'please play the battering ram' email so here's said man-ewe (not Man U which I believe is a soccer team). This rendition is more sheepish than extraordinary but most of the notes are there.
