Leave an Amazon Rating or Review for my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Check out the full episode: https://greatness.lnk.to/1883Picture this: 2008 recession hitting hard, your business about to become another failure, and you walk into your office knowing you have to do something dramatic. Kendra Scott drew a line in the sand—literally invoked the Alamo—and asked her team if they were in or out. What came next defied every rule of the jewelry industry. While stores shuttered across Austin, she signed a lease. While everyone warned her about shoplifters, she put jewelry on open tables for customers to touch and try on freely. While traditional jewelry stores were stuffy and judgmental, she created a color bar where women could sip champagne, eat cupcakes, and watch their custom pieces being made right in front of them. People thought she was crazy. They had lines around the block. She started this company two months after 9/11 with $500 in a spare bedroom. And that 2008 recession everyone feared? She calls it "the greatest gift Kendra Scott ever got" because crisis forced her to see the blind spots in her business model and pivot before it was too late. Here's what separates the million-dollar businesses from the billion-dollar ones, and Kendra doesn't sugarcoat it. Stop pretending you're a magical unicorn who can do everything. Know exactly what you suck at, then hire people who are phenomenal at those things. Build a team that covers your gaps instead of trying to be the hero of every chapter. And here's the thing that might save your business when the next crisis hits: stop being so obsessed with the transaction that you forget the connection. Kendra's team delivered food to elderly customers during the pandemic instead of trying to sell them jewelry. Why? Because for 20 years they'd shown up in hospitals with their Kendra Cares program, in oncology centers giving women battling breast cancer something joyful, consistently being there when nobody expected them to be. That authentic connection meant when the world shut down, customers showed up for her. Not because of clever marketing, but because she'd built something real. She still reads every single Instagram comment, still works in stores, still treats customers like the actual boss—because they are. Your name might be on the building, but your customer is signing your checks. The businesses that remember that during the scary, uncomfortable phases don't just survive economic challenges—they absolutely thrive coming out the other side.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Leave an Amazon Rating or Review for my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Check out the full episode: https://greatness.lnk.to/1882Lewis spent a year and a half sleeping on his sister's couch, drowning in credit card debt with nothing in the bank. He hated every minute of it. But looking back, that broke season taught him everything he needed to know about building real wealth. The lesson wasn't about making more money. It was about understanding that resourcefulness creates money, not the other way around. When you can't buy your way out of problems, you learn to figure things out. You ask better questions. You develop skills by pushing through the fear and insecurity. You stop throwing money at everything and start creating value with what you already have. Lewis touches on why lottery winners go bankrupt because they got money without building the muscle to keep it. He saw his friend Tim Sykes chase Lamborghinis and luxury homes until one moment with grateful kids holding pencils in a rural school stripped away all the noise and revealed what actually mattered. The real gift of being broke is the question it forces you to answer: who are you without your money? Your character. Your work ethic. Your creativity. Your integrity. Those things don't disappear when your bank account is low. That's your abundance, not the numbers in your wallet. Being broke teaches you to separate your worth from your wallet, to respect money by learning how it moves and breathes, to develop discipline and delayed gratification. It clarifies what actually matters when all the distractions lose their power. These aren't lessons you lose when more money comes in. They scale with you. They become the compass that keeps you aligned when the zeros start adding up. If you're in a broke season right now, this isn't punishment. It's preparation for something bigger than just having more money. It's about building a rich life rooted in purpose, peace, and alignment with who you actually are.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Leadership often looks confident and composed from the outside. Inside, it can feel very different. In this UNFILTERED compilation, we slow down and talk honestly about what leaders carry beneath the surface. Self doubt. Imposter syndrome. Loneliness. The pressure to stay in control. These are not flaws or failures. They are human responses to responsibility, care, and growth. We explore why imposter syndrome shows up most when we are stretching. Why leadership can feel lonely at every level, not just at the top. And how control, even when it comes from good intentions, can quietly drain energy, engagement, and creativity. This episode is not about fixing yourself. It is about recognizing what is happening inside, naming it, and understanding the cost of holding everything alone. If you have ever felt like you had to keep it all together while carrying more than anyone sees, this conversation is for you. You are not broken. You are growing. And you are not alone. Key Takeaways: 03:11 – Naming the Inner Experience - Greater understanding of why naming internal experiences changes how leaders relate to them. 09:05 – The Meaning Behind Imposter Syndrome - Clearer perspective on how uncertainty often accompanies responsibility and expansion, not incompetence. Kevin Warsh became the youngest Fed Governor, ever, at 35, and served as a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System from 2006 until 2011, as the Federal Reserve’s Representative to the Group of Twenty (G-20), and as the Board’s Emissary to the Emerging and Advanced Economies in Asia. In addition, he was Administrative Governor, managing and overseeing the Board’s operations, personnel, and financial performance. Prior to his appointment to the Board, from 2002 until 2006, Kevin served as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, and Executive Secretary of the White House National Economic Council. Previously, Kevin was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Department at Morgan Stanley & Co., in New York, serving as Vice President and Executive Director. I have known Kevin for a long period of time, and have no doubt that he will go down as one of the GREAT Fed Chairmen, maybe the best. On top of everything else, he is “central casting,” and he will never let you down. Congratulations Kevin! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP Warsh has compared Bitcoin favorably to gold as a “sustainable store of value,” indicating a positive view of gold’s role in the financial system.  However, his nomination led to sharp declines in gold and silver prices (e.g., silver fell up to 26% in one day), as markets interpreted him as an inflation hawk who might pursue tighter monetary policy, reducing the appeal of precious metals as inflation hedges.  This reaction stemmed from fears of less dovish Fed actions, which had previously driven gold’s rally amid uncertainty over Fed independence.  Warsh’s broader hawkish stance on inflation aligns with “hard money” principles that could indirectly support gold, but his emphasis on shrinking the Fed’s balance sheet and normalizing policy suggests he prioritizes institutional reform over promoting gold as a standard. Is Kevin Warsh Pro-Sound Money?Yes, Warsh is a strong advocate for sound money principles, emphasizing disciplined, anti-inflationary monetary policy. He views inflation as a “monetary phenomenon” and “a choice” driven by excessive government printing and spending.  As a former Fed Governor, he was often the most hawkish voice, opposing aggressive rate cuts during crises due to inflation risks.  He criticizes the Fed’s “mission creep,” oversized balance sheet, and reliance on quantitative easing (QE), arguing these enable fiscal irresponsibility and distort markets. Warsh calls for “regime change” at the Fed, shifting away from Keynesian models toward rules-based policy that incorporates money supply considerations and reduces interventionism. He stresses credibility, clear rules, and accountability to maintain sound money.   In a 2025 Hoover Institution paper, he advocated scrutinizing monetary policy under a framework that could include constitutional measures for prosperity and idea diffusion. Warsh has been vocal against Powell’s leadership, echoing Trump’s frustrations with high interest rates and calling for “regime change” at the Fed. He has moderated his hawkish stance to support lower rates, arguing AI-driven productivity allows growth without inflation. Credibility and Market Reassurance: Warsh is seen as a “traditional” pick with Fed experience, reassuring investors amid fears of a loyalist appointment that could undermine independence. Trump highlighted Warsh’s ability to deliver lower rates and growth, though some economists note Warsh’s independence could lead to tensions if he prioritizes data over demands. Analysts suggest the pick balances Trump’s desire for cuts with a credible figure. The administration has filed suit against an illegal migrant living in Virginia, and is seeking $941,114 plus interest, alleging that Marta Alicia Ramirez Veliz has remained in the country despite being told her request for admittance was rejected by a Justice Department appeals panel in 2022, Politico reported. The filing notes that Veliz has refused to pay a $998 per-day fine for the 943 days since she was told to return to her home country, and reveals that Immigration and Customs Enforcement sent her an official notice of her total fine in April. The lawsuit describes Veliz as “an individual and noncitizen residing in Chesterfield County, Virginia,” and does not identify her nationality. source: breitbart.com https://twitter.com/KanekoaTheGreat/status/2017404446230323358?s=20 BREAKING: Disturbing photos in the Epstein files appear to show Prince Andrew on all fours over a woman lying on the ground. https://twitter.com/HansMahncke/status/2017792445979791448?s=20   for everyone, or is connected through some opaque web of professional and personal ties. A supposedly random figure from the squalor of Uganda rises all the way to mayor of New York, only for it to later emerge that his mother is deeply embedded in elite circles. The judge who presided over the trial of Hillary Clinton's lawyer, the one who helped seed the Russiagate hoax, is married to Lisa Page's lawyer. Page, of course, was involved with Peter Strzok, who is one of the central figures in that same hoax. And to complete the circle, Merrick Garland officiated their wedding. At the time, Nikolic was Gates's top scientific investment advisor. The emails suggest Gates was firing Nikolic in response to marital problems with Melinda. In June 2013, Nikolic emailed Gates and asked if he wanted to go to the “legendary Crazy Horse in Paris” an erotic show, while they were in France. Gates declined, saying he would be too tired and didn't want to take the risk, adding that he might have done it when he was younger. On July 1, 2013, Gates emailed Nikolic: “We should meet on Wednesday to discuss your job. There is going to have to be a transition. I feel very bad about it but I don’t see a way around it.” Nikolic shared these emails with Epstein. Epstein later commented on the Paris erotic show email, writing: “This is pretty bad and might have been the cause of her bad mail in paris.”—apparently referring to Melinda. Nikolic appeared unhappy about being fired while potentially being used as a scapegoat, and he sought greater financial compensation as he prepared to leave and launch his own investment fund. In these emails, Epstein—writing as Nikolic—references alleged knowledge of Gates's extramarital affairs, STDs allegedly contracted from Russian women, and drug use as justification for why Nikolic deserved more money. Taken together, it appears Jeffrey Epstein was drafting or shaping a message for Boris Nikolic that effectively functioned as blackmail, pressuring Bill Gates for financial compensation. It remains unclear whether Nikolic ultimately sent these messages to Gates. However, later emails suggest Gates helped Nikolic launch his next investment fund and maintained a working relationship with him afterward. Epstein later listed Nikolic as a backup executor of his will, indicating the two were close confidants. https://twitter.com/Breaking911/status/2017769194159210784?s=20 Billionaire Reid Hoffman, Who Bankrolled the E. A man who used his fortune to bankroll a lawsuit against President Donald J. Trump is now featured extensively in the new DOJ-released Jeffrey Epstein documents. The three and a half million documents from the latest – and apparently last – have been released by the DOJ following the approval of the House Resolution 4405, the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Documents from this massive release show the close ties between LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and the late pedophile. The pair ‘discusses visits to Epstein's infamous private island, his New Mexico ranch, and his New York apartment'. The New York Post reported: “'Reid will spend the night at 71st', according to one email from Hoffman's team included in the latest Justice Department dump of Epstein files, in reference to his Upper East Side townhouse.”   A 2014 memo states that Epstein hosted will have (venture capitalist) Joi Ito and Reid Hoffman on the infamous Zorro Ranch for a weekend. “An email Epstein penned to his assistant Saida Sapieva under the heading ‘Trip to the Island' states: ‘Reid will take a Virgin America Flight from SFO to Fort Lauderdale, departing at 8:20 am, landing at 4:40 pm'. In 2023, Hoffman visited to Epstein's former Caribbean private island, Little St. James, also known as ‘pedophile island', The Post previously reported.” Source: thegatewaypundit.com https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/2017106848311366064?s=20 https://twitter.com/MikeBenzCyber/status/2017789344103145647?s=20   https://twitter.com/MikeBenzCyber/status/2017772724093849926?s=20     https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/2017930408650772495?s=20 https://twitter.com/Cernovich/status/2017329765863039432?s=20       Israel had Trump by the balls so much that… Epstein was arrested? It's all bullshit. Lots of people not looking good though after today's release. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. To muddy the waters is an idiom that means to make a situation, issue, or discussion more confusing, unclear, or complicated—often deliberately. For example: “The politician’s vague statements only muddied the waters during the debate.” It originates from the idea of stirring up mud in water, making it murky and hard to see through. DOGE Geopolitical War/Peace Iran Hits Back At EU: Designates European Armies As ‘Terrorist Entities’ Iran is saying two can play at the West’s game: on Friday the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council blasted the EU’s decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a “terrorist organization,” warning that Europe’s own militaries would now be viewed through the same lens. “The European Union certainly knows that… the armies of countries that have participated in the European Union’s recent resolution against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are considered terrorist entities,” Ali Larijani wrote in a post on X. He added bluntly: “Therefore, the consequences of that shall be borne by the European countries that undertook such an action.” However, there’s probably nothing in the way of European military assets for the Islamic Republic to sanction, so this ‘action’ by Tehran will remain largely symbolic. Iran does have assets held in various places of Europe though. EU foreign ministers agreed on Thursday to formally classify the IRGC as a “terrorist organization” and urged member states to implement the designation without delay – after a few longtime holdouts flipped. source: zerohedge.com [DS] Agenda https://twitter.com/rhodeislander/status/2017361344018739231?s=20 https://twitter.com/nicksortor/status/2017331445195211254?s=20   at Place of Worship COUNT 2: 18 U.S.C. § 248(a) (b), § §2(a) – FACE Act: Injure, Intimidate, and Interfere with Exercise of Right of Religious Freedom at a Place of Worship. After pepper spray was deployed, Waters returned to the front of the riot with a mask and continued leading the insurrection. Republicans, don't let these Crooked Democrats, who are stealing Billions of Dollars from Minnesota, and other Cities and States from all over the Country, push you around. They are using this aggressive protest SCAM to obfuscate, camouflage, and hide their CRIMINAL ACTS of theft and insurrection. They should all be in jail. I was elected on Strong Borders, and Law and Order, among many other things. Thank you to Secretary Kristi Noem. Remember, ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP     Federal Government Property. There will be no spitting in the faces of our Officers, there will be no punching or kicking the headlights of our cars, and there will be no rock or brick throwing at our vehicles, or at our Patriot Warriors. If there is, those people will suffer an equal, or more, consequence. In the meantime, by copy of this Statement, I am informing Local Governments, as I did in Los Angeles when they were rioting at the end of the Biden Term, that you must protect your own State and Local Property. In addition, it is your obligation to also protect our Federal Property, Buildings, Parks, and everything else. We are there to protect Federal Property, only as a back up, in that it is Local and State Responsibility to do so. Last night in Eugene, Oregon, these criminals broke into a Federal Building, and did great damage, also scaring and harassing the hardworking employees. Local Police did nothing in order to stop it. We will not let that happen anymore! If Local Governments are unable to handle the Insurrectionists, Agitators, and Anarchists, we will immediately go to the location where such help is requested, and take care of the situation very easily and methodically, just as we did the Los Angeles Riots one year ago, where the Police Chief said that, “We couldn't have done it without the help of the Federal Government.” Therefore, to all complaining Local Governments, Governors, and Mayors, let us know when you are ready, and we will be there — But, before we do so, you must use the word, “PLEASE.” Remember that I stated, in the strongest of language, to BEWARE — ICE, Border Patrol or, if necessary, our Military, will be extremely powerful and tough in the protection of our Federal Property. We will not allow our Courthouses, Federal Buildings, or anything else under our protection, to be damaged in any way, shape, or form. I was elected on a Policy of Border Control (which has now been perfected!), National Security, and LAW AND ORDER — That's what America wants, and that's what America is getting! Thank you for your attention to this matter.   PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP he will use DHS/ICE and, if necessary, the US MIL to protect federal property. It sounds like Trump knows something is coming. It sounds like the Dems want DHS/ICE to get caught up in policing these riots, hoping more of their deranged followers take it too far and get shot. Trump is instead going to hold and force local Democrat politicians to police their own riots, or agree to work with him. And if the Dems choose to not police these riots, they will force Trump to use the US MIL to suppress the chaos. https://twitter.com/unseen1_unseen/status/2017334056292143173?s=20 https://twitter.com/StephenM/status/2017585812599087241?s=20   EXCLUSIVE: Atlanta Field Office Special Agent in Charge Allegedly Removed For Slow-Walking Election Fraud Investigation  Reports are emerging on social media that Paul Brown, the FBI Special Agent in Charge at the Atlanta Field Office, was “forced out of that job earlier this month,” according to MSNOW's Ken Dilanian. She was so deep in binge eating disorder that she became unemployable, non-functional, unable to move forward in life. So she did what you're supposed to do: therapy, 12-step programs, eventually becoming a psychotherapist herself. She spent over a decade analyzing why she was the way she was, helping other people do the same. And here's what she discovered that changed everything: understanding your past saves your life, but staying there won't change it. She realized around age 40 that she'd been solidifying her wounded identity by constantly focusing on it. The breakthrough came when she understood that it's the future that actually pulls us forward, not the past. What makes this conversation so powerful is how Katherine explains the hidden mechanism that keeps us stuck. When you believe you're not good enough, you over-function and over-give, which actually trains people to undervalue you. When you believe you're invisible, you can't even recognize your own needs, let alone bring them to others. When you believe you're not safe, you create push-pull dynamics that keep love at arm's length. We're unconsciously enrolling others in validating our deepest wounds through how we show up. Katherine's approach flips the script: start with who you need to become for your positive possible future, then clear what's blocking that path. She'll walk you through how to differentiate your wise self from your wounded self, how to stop letting your younger parts drive the car, and how to finally break free from the patterns that have been running your life.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Andrea Samadi revisits a conversation with neuroscientist Dr. Baland Jalal about how curiosity launched his career and how transitional sleep states fuel creativity. The episode explores sleep paralysis research and the hypnagogic window—the moments before sleep and after waking when the brain makes unexpected connections. This week, Episode 384—based on our review of Episode 224, recorded in June 2022—we'll explore: ✔ Why learning, creativity, and curiosity depend on a regulated nervous system ✔ How sleep—especially REM—creates the conditions for insight and problem-solving ✔ What happens in the brain when focus shuts down and imagination turns on ✔ Why safety, rhythm, and rest are prerequisites for learning—not rewards after it ✔ How understanding sleep changes the way we approach performance, education, and growth Listeners learn practical tips for capturing insights at the edge of sleep, setting intentions before bed, and protecting morning silence to preserve creative flashes. The episode emphasizes that learning and creativity emerge best when the nervous system feels safe and regulated. This episode launches Season 15's Phase 1 focus on regulation and safety, framing sleep, rhythm, and emotional regulation as the essential foundation for motivation, learning, and sustained performance. Welcome back to Season 15 of the Neuroscience Meets Social and Emotional Learning Podcast. I'm Andrea Samadi, and here we bridge the science behind social and emotional learning, emotional intelligence, and practical neuroscience—so you can create measurable improvements in well-being, achievement, productivity, and results. When we launched this podcast seven years ago, it was driven by a question I had never been taught to ask— not in school, not in business, and not in life: If results matter—and they matter now more than ever—how exactly are we using our brain to make these results happen? Most of us were taught what to do. Very few of us were taught how to think under pressure, how to regulate emotion, how to sustain motivation, or even how to produce consistent results without burning out. That question led me into a deep exploration of the mind–brain–results connection—and how neuroscience applies to everyday decisions, conversations, and performance. That's why this podcast exists. Each week, we bring you leading experts to break down complex science and translate it into practical strategies you can apply immediately. If you've been with us through Season 14, you may have felt something shift. That season wasn't about collecting ideas. It was about integrating these ideas into our daily life. Across conversations on neuroscience, social and emotional learning, sleep, stress, exercise, nutrition, and mindset frameworks—from voices like Bob Proctor, José Silva, Dr. Church, Dr. John Medina, and others—one thing became clear: These aren't separate tools. They're parts of one operating system. When the brain, body, and emotions are aligned, performance stops feeling forced—and starts to feel sustainable. Season 14 showed us what alignment looks like in real life. And now we move into Season 15 that is about understanding how that alignment is built—so we can build it ourselves, using predictable, science-backed principles. Because alignment doesn't happen all at once. It happens by using a sequence. By repeating this sequence over and over again, until magically (or predictably) we notice our results have changed. So this season, we're revisiting past conversations—not to repeat them—but to understand how they fit together, so we can replicate them ourselves. Because the brain doesn't develop skills in isolation. Learning doesn't happen in isolation. And neither does performance, resilience, or well-being. The brain operates as a set of interconnected systems. When one system is out of balance, everything else is affected. So Season 15 we've organized as a review roadmap, where each episode explores one foundational brain system—and each phase builds on the one before it. Season 15 Roadmap: Phase 1 — Regulation & Safety Phase 2 — Neurochemistry & Motivation Phase 3 — Movement, Learning & Cognition Phase 4 — Perception, Emotion & Social Intelligence Phase 5 — Integration, Insight & Meaning Today we begin with Phase One: Regulation and Safety. Because before learning can happen, before curiosity can emerge, before motivation or growth is possible— the brain must feel safe. That's where we are today as we embark on this journey together. I encourage us all to take notes, and apply what each phase is encouraging us to do. This is not just for you, the listener, I'm going right back myself, and revisiting each interview with a new lens. PHASE 1: REGULATION & SAFETY Staples: Sleep + Stress Regulation Core Question: Is the nervous system safe enough to learn? Anchor Episodes Episode 384 — Baland Jalal How learning begins: curiosity, sleep, imagination, creativity Bruce Perry “What happened to you?” — trauma, rhythm, relational safety Sui Wong Autonomic balance, lifestyle medicine, brain resilience Rohan Dixit HRV, real-time self-regulation, nervous system literacy EPISODE 384 — REVIEW OF EP 224 (JUNE 2022) Revisiting Our Interview with Baland Jalal Today's Episode 384 we go back to Episode 224[i], recorded in June 2022, featuring Danish neuroscientist Dr. Baland Jalal—a researcher, author, and one of the world's leading experts on sleep paralysis. Dr. Jalal is a neuroscientist affiliated with Harvard University's Department of Psychology and was previously a Visiting Researcher at Cambridge University Medical School, where he earned his PhD. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Washington Post, BBC, NBC News, The Guardian, Forbes, Reuters, PBS (NOVA), and many others. He also writes for TIME Magazine, Scientific American, Big Think, and The Boston Globe. Since our original interview, I've watched Dr. Jalal's influence expand globally. Most recently, he appeared on Jordan B. Peterson's podcast[ii], discussing Dreams, Nightmares, and Neuroscience, and on Lewis Howes' School of Greatness[iii], where he explored Dreams, Lucid Dreaming, and the Neuroscience of Consciousness—an episode that truly stretched Lewis's thinking. What stood out to me most—then and now—was Dr. Jalal's transparency about learning. At the beginning of his interview with Lewis Howes, Dr. Jalal shared how a single experience—his desire to understand his own episodes of sleep paralysis more than 20 years ago—sparked a lifelong curiosity. That curiosity led him to his local library in Copenhagen and ultimately transformed his entire career path in ways he could never have imagined as a young man spending time on the streets. That honesty resonated deeply with me. Before Google, I remember sitting in a local library in Arizona around that same time, trying to understand the mysteries of the world—from the Great Pyramid of Giza to Stonehenge—reading everything I could get my hands on. Like Dr. Jalal, I was curious about many things I didn't understand, but my path didn't start with neuroscience or learning science, which came later for me. We all begin somewhere. Let's go to our first clip from Dr. Baland Jalal, where he shares how his love of learning truly began.

You're literally breathing your baggage, your insecurities, your unhealed wounds into your partner's lungs and expecting them to somehow purify it all and give you back clean air. He contrasts this with conscious love, which isn't about waiting until you're perfectly healed or being selflessly devoted. It's about independently taking care of yourself so you can bring your best self to the relationship. And here's where most people get it wrong: toxic love turns into scorekeeping. Who does more around the house? Who loves more? Who sacrifices more? That's not teamwork. Conscious love is built on healthy agreements, not competition. Jay shares a real story about a friend whose partner struggled with porn addiction. The partner was vulnerable, honest, wanted to change. The choice was simple but brutal: leave because it affects you negatively, or stay and support them through genuine healing. They chose support. Now they have a healthy relationship. But Jay warns about the flip side: using someone's vulnerability as ammunition. When your partner opens up about their struggles and you throw it back at them during an argument, you're telling them never to be honest with you again. The shift Lewis identifies is crucial: conscious love means taking emotional responsibility instead of saying "you made me feel this way." It means communicating what you're healing, making your partner aware of your journey, and finding support together. Not because you're broken, but because healing is a journey and conscious love doesn't demand perfection before partnership. Jay's book 8 Rules of Love isn't about following his rules exactly, it's about inspiring couples to create their own agreements that work for their specific relationship. The foundation isn't romance or grand gestures. It's the unglamorous work of building agreements, staying aware of what you're healing, and never weaponizing the vulnerability your partner trusts you with. Because we all say we want honesty, but the moment someone shares something uncomfortable, we often reject it. That's how you push the other person away. If they're genuinely on a healing journey and they're transparent about it, that's worth supporting. Not forcing change on them, but being there as they do the work themselves.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. She wasn't healed instantly, but something shifted that day. For years, she'd been layering on masks to survive. Watching her mother code-switch at the bank taught her young that acceptance required erasure. Corporate call centers where people refused to speak to her because she was Black. Entertainment executives instructing her to sound "neutral" so no one could tell where she was from. Straighter hair. Certain size. Erase your accent. She built a version of herself she thought would win, and it was killing her. When she received prophetic messages but suppressed them out of fear, her body rebelled with nausea and dizziness until she spoke them. She was literally suffocating her truth, and she couldn't breathe. The transformation came through surrender. Not the habitual prayers she'd been taught, but raw desperation to live as God created her instead of how the world demanded. She started taking layers off. Each mask removed brought physical healing. The more authentic she became, the better she felt. She stopped code-switching, stopped shrinking, stopped hiding the prophetic gifts that once terrified her. Your body knows when you're living someone else's life, and it will make you sick until you remember who you actually are. Sometimes the bravest prayer isn't asking God to change your circumstances but asking Him to strip away everything you've become to survive and reveal who you were meant to be all along.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Coach Ray Ostrowski (@CoachRayO3313) shared this gem with his introduction: “Why accept Acceptable when you're capable of Exceptional? Acceptable is ‘good enough' for some but never meets the minimum standard for Great. Take small steps daily that combat our natural instinct to be satisfied & tolerate ‘acceptable.”  I reposted this from him with my thoughts: “Great stuff @CoachRayO3313 … awesome reminder for life and for anyone open to paying attention.”  Today's episode came in my mobile studio because I wanted to get out to you as soon as I could.  Early this morning I had a dream and it got my day started in a direction of wanting to learn more, do more, and to keep getting things done.  It's all about “Acceptable vs. Exceptional” - “Why tolerate acceptable when you're capable of exceptional? This is something many wrestle with daily.  Greatness demands higher standards.  Acceptable is good enough for many - but not for the great.  Strive to develop the diligence, competitiveness, details, standards, routines, & expectations to become exceptional.  Good enough is the enemy of great.”  I hope this helps you see some things that you want to work on. Leave an Amazon Rating or Review for my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Check out the full episode: https://greatness.lnk.to/1879DMLewis gets brutally honest about something most of us are doing right now without realizing the damage: avoiding hard situations. Like, for Lewis, having hard conversations with people. He used to sweat thinking about difficult talks with people he cared about, overanalyzing every word, dreading the discomfort so intensely that he'd just... not do it. But here's what he discovered: that avoidance wasn't protecting anyone. It was creating constant stress in his body, this low-grade anxiety that never went away. He was abandoning himself every time he chose comfort over truth. And the longer he waited, the louder that internal scream became, slowly eroding his self-trust and self-belief.Here's the shift that changes everything: confidence doesn't come from affirmations or motivation or waiting until you feel ready. It comes from doing the one uncomfortable thing you've been putting off. Maybe it's that conversation, that call, that message you need to send. Whatever it is, it's probably creating more stress by avoiding it than actually doing it would. Even something as simple as moving your body for 10 minutes daily builds self-respect because you're showing up, you're listening to yourself, you're proving you can do hard things. Consistency beats intensity every single time. When you stop seeing yourself as someone who avoids discomfort and start seeing yourself as someone who handles it (who maybe even loves it) everything changes. Do one hard thing today. That's it.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. A short episode with Sarah Grynberg for a focused conversation on what it really means to live a life of greatness. We spoke about conscious awareness, burnout, and why choosing love over fear is a daily practice, not a concept. Sarah shared her own experience of change and why most people stay stuck even when they want more. This episode is an invitation to look inward, soften the noise, and move through life with greater intention. Sometimes the smallest shifts are the ones that change everything.https://bit.ly/48sw8Vj

Why 70% of Your Immune System Lives in Your Gut | Dr. Will Bulsiewicz

Leave an Amazon Rating or Review for my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Check out the full episode: https://greatness.lnk.to/1878DMYour body is basically a crowded planet, and the gut is the capital city. Dr. Will Bulsiewicz drops the kind of perspective-shift that makes you sit up straight: around 38 trillion microbes live in you, and he paints a wild “football field” picture where almost all the genetic code in your body belongs to them. Then he connects the dots to why you might feel exhausted and inflamed: 70% of your immune system is stationed in the gut lining, right next to those microbes, separated by just a single layer of cells. When that gut barrier gets weak, unwanted stuff slips through, your immune system stays activated 24/7, and that chronic low-grade inflammation starts quietly wrecking the neighborhood. The takeaway lands hard because it's personal: your microbiome reflects your life. Food choices, sleep, circadian rhythm, exercise, connection with your partner, even old trauma patterns, all leave fingerprints in the gut. Instead of treating inflammation like a mystery enemy, this conversation nudges you to focus on the gate, the gut barrier, so your immune system doesn't have to live on high alert. It's a grounding way to think about healing: less panic, more rebuilding, and a reminder that small daily choices can move you from constant internal stress toward real, steady energy.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Guest Author: Paul GregoryHeadline: The Desire for Greatness: Understanding the MotiveSummary: Decades later, Paul Gregory attributes Lee's motive to a desperate need to prove his significance to the world and his scornful wife. Often underestimated, Lee was a manipulative planner who viewed the assassination as a path to historic grandeur and political relevance.Article: Lee Harvey Oswald was driven by a lifelong belief instilled by his mother that he was special, combined with a desperate need to prove his worth to his wife, Marina, who often ridiculed him as not being a "real man". Far from being a simpleton, Lee was a manipulative planner who viewed the assassination not just as a crime, but as a gateway to a show trial where he could broadcast his political theories and finally achieve the historical importance he craved.

Tabitha Brown reveals the prayer that changed everything: "God, if you heal me, you can have me."After battling chronic illness for a year and seven months, she made a choice that terrified her, to stop pretending and start living as her authentic self. The transformation didn't just heal her body. It cost her friendships, tested her marriage, and forced her to walk away from the version of herself she'd spent decades creating. On the other side of that bathroom prayer, she found something more valuable than any acting role or endorsement deal: freedom. Her journey from conforming in corporate America and Hollywood to building a multimedia empire on authenticity proves that when you finally stop performing for approval, abundance finds you. The path forward starts with one question you need to ask yourself today: What mask are you wearing, and what would happen if you took it off?Tabitha's books:Cooking from the SpiritFeeding the Soul (Because It's My Business)Seen, Loved and Heard: A Guided Journal for Feeding the SoulI Did a New ThingHello There, SunshineIn this episode you will:Learn the signs of confirmation that keep appearing in your life and what they're trying to tell you about your purposeBreak through the fear of losing relationships when you step into your truth and understand why some people can't come with youDiscover why habitual prayer kept you stuck and how to shift into true connection that transforms your realityUncover the difference between dreams deposited inside you and goals you create, and why only one will let you restMaster the practice of obedience over sacrifice and why choosing the harder path now creates the easier life laterFor more information go to https://lewishowes.com/1880For more Greatness text PODCAST to +1 (614) 350-3960More SOG episodes we think you'll love:Lewis HowesToby RobbinsDr. Daniel Amen Get more from Lewis!
