Language of Synchronicities If you've been seeing signs, noticing repeating numbers, or feeling like the universe is trying to tell you something, you're gonna love this episode. Robert Grant is back on the Highest Self Podcast, and let me tell you—last time he was on, it became one of our most downloaded episodes ever with over 700,000 listens. This time we're exploring the universe's hidden language—how numbers, patterns, and synchronicities are not just coincidences but conversations your soul (and Highest Self) are connected to. We explore: How suffering + divinity = wholeness through the sacred math of Pi How authenticity is actually the path to spiritual awakening Why narcissism is part of the ascension journey (no, for real!) Whether you choose your numerology or astrology chart—or if it's already written I've just returned from Egypt, where I was facilitating on Robert's expedition and receiving more downloads and codes than ever before. That journey is exactly what inspired my brand new offering: Karma Clearing for the Mystic's Voice: Releasing the Past to Speak Your Sacred Truth This isn't for the first-time mystic. This is for the souls who have walked as oracle, priestess, healer, and seer before. We'll meet live each week on Zoom for two hours of teaching, ritual, and sharing. This offering is open to just 50 resonant souls, so I can hold space deeply, answer your questions, and prepare you for further training in the Venusian Mystical Arts, including the option to do Priestess Activations in Egypt with me. Have you ever felt like you're doing all the things—yet your soul is whispering, “There's more…”? Yup, I've certainly felt that way too. I hope this week's podcast conversation is what your spirit's been craving. I sat down with the founder of Insight Timer—the world's most beloved mindfulness app (and one I personally adore)—to explore the deeper mission behind it all. What unfolded was a powerful conversation about using technology not to disconnect, but to reconnect… with ourselves, with each other, and with the sacred. In honor of Global Meditation Day, I'm inviting you to hear the heart and soul behind Insight Timer, along with a greater vision for how we navigate this fast-paced, tech-saturated world. We talk about purpose, presence, and how conscious tech can be a vessel for healing rather than numbing. I hope this conversation gives you a glimpse of what's possible when we have conscious tech supporting a more conscious world. And, I hope it serves you in all the ways you need right now. Here's to living with more peace and presence, one breath at a time.
Mindfulness meditation, which involves becoming aware of the breath in the present moment, has been a core part of Eastern contemplative practices for thousands of years. Over recent decades however, it's ‘exploded' throughout the West as scientists have sought to prove the physical and mental benefits of regular practice - like feeling calmer, less stressed and feeling better able to manage emotions. This week we look at some of the more surprising places where these simple techniques are having a big impact. In Kenya, we learn about the ‘mindfulness revolution' that took place in a men's high security prison outside Nairobi after a group of inmates and guards were taught mindfulness techniques in 2015. They soon started teaching each other and ten years later it's spread to prisons throughout the country and beyond. And we visit Baltimore in the US, where a non-profit organisation has been teaching mindfulness and yoga in inner city schools for over twenty years, giving children growing up with violence and deprivation the tools to manage their emotions and heal trauma.People Fixing The World from the BBC is about brilliant solutions to the world's problems. We'd love you to let us know what you think and to hear about your own solutions. You can contact us on WhatsApp by messaging +44 8000 321721 or email peoplefixingtheworld@bbc.co.uk. And please leave us a review on your chosen podcast provider.Presenter: Myra Anubi Producer: Zoe Gelber US reporter: Ben Wyatt Editor: Jon Bithrey Sound mix: Gareth Jones(Image: Students in Baltimore practicing yoga, Holistic Life Foundation)

In this final episode of the season, Wendy reflects on the nature of giving and the quiet power of living with integrity. Inspired by a quote from Pope Francis, she explores how judgment and gossip, though often disguised as concern or connection, weigh us down more than we realize. Through personal insights and a call for deeper presence, Wendy invites listeners to clear space in their lives by speaking with intention, respecting others' stories, and choosing connection over comparison. Let's talk less about others - and more with meaning.

We are currently in an era that celebrates self-expression. Whether online or in person, we are encouraged to share our thoughts and emotions. Unlike previous generations, we now have the freedom to openly express how we feel. While there are numerous advantages to sharing our emotions with others, overdoing it can have its drawbacks. That's why it's essential to strike a balance between emotional control and expressiveness. This balance, tailored to our personal preferences and the context we find ourselves in, is key to navigating the world of emotional expression with confidence and reassurance. To delve deeper into this subject, I have invited Sahar Milani, an Experiential Brand Specialist and Host of the Mindful Makers Podcast and Laura Roche, an MC, podcaster and mindfulness and self-compassion expert, to join me for an in-depth discussion. Sahar Milani is the founder and Experiential Director of Sorshaa, a global brand strategist with a passion for human connection, storytelling, and wellbeing. With over 20 years of experience in mindfulness and a career spanning Europe, MENA, and Southeast Asia, she helps brands communicate with clarity and purpose to create meaningful impact. Sahar is also the host of Mindful Makers, a podcast spotlighting individuals and brands making a positive difference, recognized as one of the top 8 female-led MENA podcasts by SheerLuxe Middle East. Her work sits at the intersection of curiosity, creativity, and conscious communication. Laura Roche was born and raised in Spain and holds a bachelor's degree in Social Pedagogy and a Master's in Mindfulness for Conscious Organizations from the University of Barcelona. She's also a mindfulness and self-compassion teacher from the University of San Diego, California. She spent hundreds of hours on retreats and even lived for short periods at a Buddhist temple. Having lived and worked on four continents, she has garnered valuable knowledge and experience in dealing with a multitude of people and cultures, always learning and opening herself up to new experiences. In this interview, we examine the various aspects of emotional expression, weighing its advantages and disadvantages. More importantly, we share practical strategies for achieving a healthy balance. This week's episode holds space for one of the main fears that can come up when we're experimenting with inquiry and getting free: the fear of being insensitive. As Tom points out, deep down nobody wants to be insensitive to the suffering that goes on in this world. And when we reach states of openness and freedom ourselves, sometimes the fear that shows up is hurting other people by not joining them in their misery. Through a vulnerable health-related share and an exploration into the possibility that everything – everything – works out in the best way possible, that sparks the conversation about how sensitivity fits into the equation of personal liberation, we invite you to join in on The Work.

This throwback episode of the Alan Mead Experiences features a conversation with Dr. Dawn Grimes about the stuff that we let in to our brains. The discussion delves into Alan's recent transition to a three-day clinical week, the challenges of staffing, and the surprising mental toll of early mornings and long days. This leads to a deeper exploration of how the content consumed during commutes—particularly "outrage media"—can impact one's mindset, and Alan's experiment with silent, mindful morning drives. They touch upon managing anxiety, the power of being present, the significance of remembering names in personal and professional interactions, and the importance of consciously choosing one's reactions to life's daily irritants. Paso a paso.

The newspaper is full of the Adam Selwood tragedy and the Eagles win and the value of a ‘mental health round'. Everyone knows a hashtag or a football round might make us feel a bit better but the issue is way deeper than that. Asking RUOK? is a touch better but way more needs to be done.. Research into what works and what to do when some things don't work.. Answers -- practical, science based, proven strategies Healing stories, not just problem stories. Too many mental health talks are on the problem and the problem stories, and not enough on the stories of transformation and healing.. Topics to teach, train, coach and mentor people of all ages in: Destigmatisation Resilience building Mindfulness training Internal and external ecosystem management Etc etc The recent podcast I did with @Bryn Edwards, where he said ‘this is not a mental health crisis, it's an emotional health crisis' The acknowledgment, expression and processing of emotions' From an NLP point of view - state management.. Dr Peter Symons and his book Brain-Fuel Depletion and the recent seminar I MC'ed with Peter and Dr Clyde Jumeaux plus the many calls and discussions I have had with old mate and long-term mental health researcher and advocate Neil Cole and our great work with BlokesTalk BeachSide and the work with Paul Litwin and Mens Talk AU shows how men in particular need to feel OK about talking to someone about how they feel on the inside.. In a recent conversation with a past client who is involved heavily with Veterans and PTSD.. as he says, 'asking RUOK is not the Question.. asking on a scale of 0 to 10 how are you feeling?' is a far better question.. If you are under 5... let's talk about it.. We go into much further detail in this podcast including the structured Holistic Psychosocial Lifestyle Audit & Action Plan based on Rapoport's lifestyle dimensions—Family, Work, and Leisure—with integrated areas including Emotional Intelligence, Rumination, Stress Load, and Internal Chemistry. This self-assessment helps evaluate key domains influencing mental health and offers tailored recommendations based on the results.. Fan Favorite: This episode originally aired on November 25, 2021. It was reported that roughly 1 in 20 people report having at least one hallucination in a lifetime. Maybe it was drug induced or simply a dream. Either way, how is it that you can have vivid imagery about what feels like reality in the moment? Dr. Jonas Kaplan joins Tom in this conversation to discuss all the ways your brain is filling in the gaps of its own break in knowledge. The brain is truly fascinating to study and so important to understand when you want to be more open-minded and question your beliefs or get a better perception of and understanding of what reality truly is. Part of seeing reality as it really is versus how your brain predicts it to be is coming face to face with information that challenges the beliefs you hold. Jonas and Tom explore research studies that reveal the freaky nature of how our brains really work and ways you can hack your way past the overprotective nature of your brain.
