Sellers fear procurement because it often brings price pressure and delays. In this episode, Brandon explains what procurement teams actually optimize for, why sellers lose leverage when they disengage, and how uncertainty turns price into the only negotiation lever. You'll learn how to pre-wire procurement early, reframe value without sounding defensive, protect margin through smart trade-offs, and keep deals moving while contracts are reviewed. If procurement keeps slowing or shrinking your deals, this episode gives you a clear, confident playbook to handle it right.

Send us a textIn this episode, I want to change the way you look at momentum. Most people think momentum is either luck or a formula—but it's neither. Momentum is an art. And once you see it that way, you realize it's controllable, even though it's built on a lot of intangibles you can't always measure or explain. In this conversation, I break down how momentum is something you shape and create over time—and why that mindset keeps you out of a victim mentality. Because momentum is deceptive: you don't know when it's going to kick in and start working for you, and by the time you realize you've lost it, it's already been gone for a while. If you've ever felt stuck, frustrated, or like things should be working by now, this episode will help you see momentum—and your role in it—completely differently.Enjoy the full conversation of Shane Parrish & Michael Ovitz https://fs.blog/knowledge-project-podcast/Support the show

The 4 R Growth Flywheel: How to Scale After the Sale with Cary Jack

Ever feel like you're doing all the “right” things in your business, posting consistently, running ads, chasing leads yet growth still feels heavier than it should? I've been there. For a long time, I thought the secret to scaling was always out there… more eyeballs, more followers, more people in the funnel. But what actually changed everything for me wasn't before the sale. It was what happened after. In this solo episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast, I break down what I call the 4R Growth Flywheel, a simple but powerful framework that's helped us increase our average customer lifetime value to over $15,000 per client (and for some, $25K–$50K+). This episode isn't about hype or hacks. It's about service, alignment, and building a business that actually supports your life instead of draining it. No guest this time just me sharing what's working right now inside our masterminds, communities, and offers, and why this approach matters more than ever in a noisy online world. Here's the big shift: most entrepreneurs obsess over getting the next client, but real, aligned growth comes from how you take care of the people who already said yes. The 4R Growth Flywheel focuses on retention, referrals, reviews, and resells, four levers that compound over time and turn your business into a trust-based ecosystem instead of a leaky bucket.A few key takeaways from this episode:• Retention starts in the first 30 days. Clients don't leave because your product is bad—they leave because the onboarding experience is forgettable. Momentum, clarity, and connection early on can determine the entire lifetime value of a customer.• Referrals aren't something you ask for, they're something you engineer. People refer when they feel proud of their progress, emotionally connected to your brand, and clear on how to explain what you do. The best time to trigger referrals is right after a win.• Reviews are compressed trust. Future clients don't believe your sales page because you wrote it—they believe your clients. Consistently capturing real transformation stories can turn your marketing into a 24/7 sales team.• Reselling isn't pushy—it's service. Ascension means guiding people to the next level of support they already need. When done with integrity, it deepens trust and alignment instead of creating pressure.• The flywheel compounds. Retention builds trust. Trust fuels referrals. Referrals and reviews accelerate resells. And resells deepen retention. That's how you scale without burning out.At the end of the day, this episode is a reminder that Happy Hustlin' isn't about doing more, it's about doing better. It's about building relationships, not just revenue, and creating offers that truly support the humans behind the credit cards. If you're an entrepreneur who wants to make more money, increase customer lifetime value, and grow a business that actually feels good to run, this episode is for you.Connect with Cary!InstagramFacebookLinkedinTwitterYoutube Get a copy of his new book, The Happy Hustle, 10 Alignments to Avoid Burnout & Achieve Blissful BalanceSign up for The Journey: 10 Days To Become a Happy Hustler Online CourseApply to the Montana Mastermind Epic Camping Adventure“It's time to Happy Hustle, a blissfully balanced life you love, full of passion, purpose, and positive impact!”Episode Sponsors:If you're feeling stressed, not sleeping great, or your energy's been kinda meh lately—let me put you on to something that's been a total game-changer for me: Magnesium Breakthrough by BiOptimizers. Here's what's coming through loud and clear right now: Old conversations are waking up Deals from 1–3 years ago? They're moving again. Salespeople are picking up the phone, calling old lists, and hearing: "I'm so glad you called. I was just thinking about you." Action plan: Dust off your inactive list. End of December or first week of January is prime time to make calls and meet people. Holiday check-in or strategy conversation for the new year. Attention spans are shrinking Follow-up needs to tighten. Quarterly or every-few-months cadence isn't cutting it anymore. I'm suggesting: Every 2 weeks Always bring value Pick up the phone (email + text alone isn't enough) The phone still works. Use it. Small, consistent actions are converting More meetings More face-to-face More conferences More networking Momentum is coming from showing up, not sitting back. Tools I'm using right now: -Brain.fm – daily focus + meditation 2 Favorite Books: -The AI-Driven Leader – smarter thinking and prompting with AI -The Power of Now – staying present in a distracted world Closing Thoughts: Everyone is distracted. More than ever. As you wrap up 2025 and step into 2026: -Have an annual plan -Reverse engineer it by quarter, month, week -But most importantly…HAVE A DAILY BUSINESS PLAN! At the end of each day: -Clean it up -Prep tomorrow -Define your one-day business plan -Identify your top 3 leading activities (in order) that actually move your buisness forward. Consistent action wins the game!

In this episode we answer questions from Ben, Todd, and Tom. We discuss how managed futures differ from momentum, differentiating Monte Carlo simulations and why you need to be careful with parameterized simulations, and flexible withdrawal strategies generally and applied to the sample portfolios.LInks:QMOM and DBMF comparison and correlations:  testfol.io/analysis?s=5lCK1KCsAsxMorningstar 2025 State of Retirement Income Report:  Morningstar State_of_Retirement_Income_2025.pdf - Google DrivePortfolio Charts Annual Returns Calculator:  Annual Returns – Portfolio ChartsBreathless Unedited AI-Bot Summary:Ever wondered why a momentum stock fund and a managed futures fund can look similar on the surface yet behave like opposites when markets lurch? We dig into the real differences between equity momentum strategies like QMOM and multi-asset trend programs like DBMF, explaining how managed futures trade across stocks, bonds, commodities, and currencies with the ability to go long and short. That breadth—and the discipline to follow trends over weeks to a year—creates low correlation to traditional portfolios and turns macro chaos into potential opportunity. From there, we tackle the Monte Carlo confusion that trips up even seasoned planners. We compare historical shuffles that preserve real-world co-movements with parameterized simulations that assume normal distributions and independence—two assumptions markets love to break. You'll hear why fat tails matter, how “impossible” scenarios sneak into naïve models, and where to find usable inputs without double-counting inflation. We also share a simple framework: use multiple calculators, add historical stress tests starting in rough windows like 1968 or 2000, and look for consistent results across tools before you trust any forecast. Finally, we turn to retirement withdrawals and the habits that actually hold up. Instead of rigid CPI bumps, we walk through constant-percentage withdrawals, guardrails, and the reality that retiree spending tends to run at CPI minus 1–2 percent outside healthcare. We highlight how flexible rules can raise sustainable withdrawal rates and why resilient portfolio design—think Golden Butterfly or Golden Ratio—can outperform a classic 60/40 under severe sequences. If you're ready to upgrade your plan with better diversification, better testing, and smarter spending rules, you'll leave with practical steps you can apply today.Enjoyed the conversation? No pitch, no agenda—just human connection. Whether you're feeling stuck, isolated, or just going through the motions, this episode delivers the kick you need to stop overthinking and start moving. This is Part 4 of our Mental Health in Sales series. Most days, you're going to see a shadow. The question isn't whether it shows up. It's what you do when it does. Show Notes In this episode of Shark Theory, Baylor breaks down the lesson hidden inside Groundhog Day and why most people stay stuck longer than they need to. Using the familiar story of the groundhog seeing his shadow and retreating underground, Baylor explains how many people approach adversity the same way. They wake up hopeful, see a reminder of a mistake, a setback, or a hard truth, and immediately retreat. They tell themselves it's not the right time, that they'll try again later, or that the conditions aren't perfect. But humans have a third option. Instead of waiting for a perfect day with no shadows, Baylor challenges listeners to face the shadow head-on. Because most days in life include adversity, discomfort, or reminders of past failures. And hiding from those moments only delays growth, progress, and peace. When you finally face what you've been avoiding, you often realize it isn't nearly as powerful as you imagined. The shadow loses its grip. Confidence grows. Momentum returns. Spring doesn't come faster by hiding. It comes when you decide to step into the light anyway. What You'll Learn in This Episode Why most people retreat when adversity shows up How shadows represent unaddressed mistakes and fears The danger of waiting for "perfect conditions" Why facing problems shortens the season you're stuck in How confidence is built by confrontation, not avoidance Why growth is delayed when you keep going back underground Featured Quote "You don't get to the sunshine by hiding from the shadow. You get there by facing it."

This month, I'm doing something new on the podcast: breaking down real client wins and showing you exactly how they happened. In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on how one salon brought in 81 new clients in a single quarter, for a brand new location, without paid ads, viral reels, or posting seven days a week. This didn't happen by accident. It happened because the business was set up correctly and visibility was done in a way that actually matches how people find salons in real life.Inside this episode, we cover:Why new clients are never random (even when it feels like they are)What visibility actually means vs. just “posting on Instagram”How local presence + online clarity compound faster than social aloneThe role leadership and training play in keeping new clientsHow 81 new clients can turn into $236K through cash compoundingWhy predictable growth beats flash-in-the-pan momentum every timeIf you've ever felt anxious about where your next clients are coming from, or tired of guessing what's “working,” this episode will change how you think about growth.Ready to build predictable client flow? The Salon Visibility System is a 90-minute masterclass that shows you exactly how to make your salon easy to find, trusted, and chosen — without relying on trends or algorithms.

Running an organization requires putting out a lot of fires, and a criminal organization still takes leadership. The problem is, a criminal organization is perpetrating outright felonies rather than the kinds of white collar crimes that get ignored or pardoned from a regular corporation. That means that dealing with problems has potentially much more frightening answers, and in a world where telepaths exist, it means an extra helping of paranoia.

The discussion centers on how pressure manifests when stories can no longer be sustained at the surface level, forcing recalibration in messaging, timing, and response. Throughout the episode, they examine why public reactions often lag behind structural change, and how patience and pattern recognition are critical when momentum shifts are underway. Markets are testing the psychologically important 7,000 level—a major round-number threshold for investors. Momentum is turning back to a buy signal, and with no historical resistance above this level, a breakout could open the door toward the Fibonacci extension near 7,100. However, rising speculation and a sharp increase in margin debt signal growing leverage across markets—from equities to metals and miners. While this added leverage can push prices higher in the short term, it also raises downside risk if trades begin to unwind. With bullish trends intact but speculation elevated, disciplined investors should focus on risk management: taking profits, rebalancing portfolios, and preparing for the inevitable market rotation or correction. When momentum shifts, capital often flows quickly toward oversold and neglected areas—leaving late chasers exposed. Let's unpack a truth most people don't want to admit: the thing you're avoiding is action. When you leave inaction untouched, it does not sit quietly. It grows. It drains you. And it quietly reshapes your life through mental drag, stress, and procrastination. Unaddressed conversations don't sit still. Ignored decisions don't pause. Delayed action doesn't disappear. It compounds. It leaks energy, creates anxiety, and slowly trains your nervous system to stay stuck. In this episode, Troy introduces the Bison Theory, a counterintuitive truth rooted in real behavior: while most animals run away from storms and stay trapped in them longer, bison run straight into the storm, shortening how long they suffer. This episode isn't about hype or grit for grit's sake. It's about why facing the thing you're avoiding is the fastest path to transformation, and how movement, not certainty, is what breaks the loop. If you've felt the weight of indecision, the drag of unfinished business, or the mental exhaustion of too many open loops, this conversation will feel uncomfortably familiar in the best way. This Episode Covers:Why avoidance is active, not neutral, and how it quietly compounds stressHow “direction determines duration” when it comes to pain and changeWhy facing the storm creates momentum even before clarity shows upHow anticipation of pain often hurts longer than the pain itselfThe real reason action restores energy faster than motivation ever willHow to stop negotiating with reality and start reclaiming agencyWhy transformation begins the moment you turn toward what you've been running fromBeyond The Episode Gems:Subscribe To My New Weekly LinkedIn Newsletter: Strategize. What does it mean to remain faithful when life feels uncertain?   Adrienne Gold Davis sits down with Momentum's Founding Director, Lori Palatnik, for a thoughtful conversation about Emunah, not as blind belief, but as lived faithfulness rooted in responsibility, courage, and presence.   Drawing on Jewish wisdom, leadership experience, and personal reflection, Lori shares how Emunah shows up in real life: in moments of doubt, in leadership decisions, and in the quiet daily choices Jewish women make for their families and communities.   The Rise & Shine Podcast Series is made possible by the generous support of Bonnie Vozar of Chicago, Illinois. On this Wednesday edition of 5 Clubs, Gary Williams breaks down what Brooks Koepka's return means for the PGA TOUR — and why the “win” might be as much about the return itself as it is about results. Gary also previews the LPGA season, highlighting the tour's depth, the importance of star power, and why Nelly Korda remains a major driver of mainstream attention as the LPGA continues evolving under new leadership.Frank Nobilo from CBS joins Gary to put Scottie Scheffler's dominance in context — including the sensible way to talk about Scheffler in the same breath as Tiger Woods (and even Jack Nicklaus), what truly separates the greats, and why “closing on Sundays” is the common thread. Frank also weighs in on golf's bigger-picture future: the PGA TOUR's potential schedule contraction, how “less can feel like more,” rotating playoff venues, and why relegation/elevation matters to the product (and the spirit) of the game.Later, Taylor Twellman stops by ahead of the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, where he's competing alongside LPGA stars and celebrities. Twellman shares a powerful story about how golf helped save him after a career-ending concussion, why the sport's mental demands are uniquely challenging, and how he balances focus, flow, and execution over a long round.Plus: Dogs of the Week and picks to close out the show. Momentum isn't built by motivation—it's built by alignment, consistency, and follow-through.Rich Somers sits down with Jessica Burgio, the founder of @creativehousesd, for a grounded conversation on why so many people feel stuck despite doing “all the right things,” and what it actually takes to create lasting progress in business and life. Jessica breaks down how internal misalignment quietly sabotages execution, why clarity matters more than intensity, and how building trust with yourself becomes the foundation for growth. The conversation dives into discipline, self-awareness, and the importance of creating systems that support who you're becoming—not who you used to be. Jessica shares practical insights on identity, decision-making, and why most people confuse movement with momentum.Rich and Jessica also explore how environment, boundaries, and honest self-evaluation shape long-term success, and why slowing down strategically often leads to faster results. This episode connects mindset to action—without fluff, clichés, or surface-level advice. This is a thoughtful, execution-focused conversation for anyone ready to stop spinning their wheels and start building momentum that actually compounds.

Send us a textPeaches and Trent break down what's actually changing in Air Force Basic Military Training 3.0—and why most of the outrage is missing the point. From mock airfields, F-16s, and C-130s to Pacer Forge becoming a true crucible, this episode explains why BMT isn't about technical mastery—it's about mindset, teamwork, and connecting Airmen to the mission early. They tackle scale, cost, culture, and why “we never did this before” is the weakest argument in the comments. Less classroom. More context. More stress. More purpose.
