Plentywood, Montana. Holmdel, New Jersey. Key West. New England. The Road. No Shoes Nation. Beyond. We've had a lot of fun, a bunch of challenges, a few moments of wondering "what the hell?"-and more love than any artist deserves. You're gonna meet so many people, some you'd never expect to see crossing my path, whether it's the Wailers, Willie Nelson, John Madden, or Grace Potter. Maybe you won't be surprised at all. I just know this: A whole lot has happened. For anyone who's found a piece of your life in any of my songs, this is for you. Open a cold drink, get out on your deck or your boat or wherever your happy space is, jump in, and live them along with me.And if you've got dreams, whatever they are, know they don't always come easy. But if you believe, do the hard work, and keep coming back, you'd be amazed at what can happen. I'm a pretty average guy, so look at this-know you might could do it, too. It's been a helluva trip around the sun.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-like-it-s-live--4113802/support.

Sean Combs, also known as Puffy and P Diddy, remains at the absolute center of the music industry's biggest criminal scandal in decades. Right now, he's serving a hefty 50-month prison sentence at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute in New Jersey, having been convicted of transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution back in October 2025. This verdict landed after a turbulent and highly publicized legal battle that stretched out for over a year, starting with his dramatic arrest in September 2024. According to BBC reporting covered on IMDb and FandomWire, Diddy was acquitted on the most serious sex trafficking and racketeering counts, but the court found him guilty on transportation charges involving his famous ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and another woman, only identified as Jane. The fallout from the case has given listeners a front-row seat to a trial that showcased not only allegations of forced sex work and violence but also claims of coercion, racketeering, and even arson and bribery, as detailed by LAist and The Hollywood Reporter. Cassie Ventura's testimony proved pivotal: she described years of alleged physical abuse, threats, and manipulation from Combs, including incidents where she said Combs attempted to blackmail her using secretly filmed videos. Other witnesses recounted shocking stories of grueling sex marathons, threats, and an environment of deep psychological control.Alongside the criminal proceedings, Combs faces the ordinary everyday struggles of life behind bars. Parade reports his release date was recently pushed back by a full month after he was allegedly found drinking homemade alcohol—classic prison “hooch”—and violating phone call rules. These infractions mean he's now eligible for release in June 2028 instead of May, but even that is not guaranteed if further incidents occur.Combs, once known for his glitzy Cîroc cocktail parties, has had his reality bleakly transformed. According to Audioboom, inside Fort Dix, he was reportedly caught with jailhouse moonshine made from fruit, sugar, and desperation. No private jets or entourages—just whatever can be brewed in a bag under a metal bunk. The cultural reverberations of Diddy's conviction have shaken the hip-hop world and even led to the resurfacing of wild claims about his private life, such as those made by Disney star Orlando Brown, highlighted in IBTimes. Meanwhile, the internet buzzes with rumors, new lawsuits, and questions about the future of Combs' empire.Listeners, thank you for tuning in to this week's Quiet Please production. A US Congresswoman from New Jersey—who happens to be an African-American female named, because of course, LaMonica McIver—was captured on video committing assault and battery upon Federal immigration officers back in May of this year, as part of a protest against the Delaney Hall ICE facility outside of Newark.  (2)With remarkable swiftness McIver was charged with two counts of violating 18 USC 111. “Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees,” with each count being good for 8 years in a Federal penitentiary. Despite her criminal conduct being obviously captured on video, McIver has raised a plethora of legal arguments to excuse her apparent violence against these Federal officers. And this week she received the bad news, that the Biden-appointed Federal judge considering these inane arguments properly deemed them inane, and dismissed them—meaning that McIver now proceeds to a full-blown federal criminal prosecution with serious federal time waiting for her on the other side.

It’s been a year since Donald Trump won the elections. And last week, voters elected candidates that are far from what Trump represents. Democrats made history in New York City, and they won big in places like Virginia, California, and New Jersey—and Latinos and Latinas, as usual, played a big role. But these victories don’t necessarily mean Democrats are poised to sweep in future elections, including the 2026 midterms. A panel of journalists discuss how the elusive so-called Latino vote influenced the most recent elections, and what lessons the Democratic Party should learn. It's famous for elaborate floats and huge character balloons that bob above the streets as the parade marches forward. Millions of people watch the parade live in New York City each year, but many many more watch it on TV. And some of you have questions! How do they make such big balloons for the parade and how do they choose which characters to feature? And how do they hold onto the balloons with such tiny strings? And, more generally, how do balloons float? What's helium got to do with it? 2026 Midterm Elections: What's at Stake for Markets

Michael Zezas, our Global Head of Fixed Income Research and Public Policy Strategy, highlights what investors need to watch out for ahead of next year's U.S. congressional elections.Read more insights from Morgan Stanley.----- Transcript -----Welcome to Thoughts on the Market. I'm Michael Zezas, Global Head of Fixed Income Research and Public Policy Strategy.Today, we're tackling a question that's top of mind after last week's off-cycle elections in New Jersey, New York, Virginia, and California: What could next year's midterm elections mean for investors, especially if Democrats take control of Congress? It's Friday, Nov 14th at 10:30am in New York.In last week's elections, Democrats outperformed expectations. In California, a new redistricting measure could flip several house seats; and in New Jersey and Virginia Democrat candidates, won with meaningfully higher margins than polls suggested was likely. As such prediction markets now give Democrats a roughly 70 percent chance of winning the House next year. But before we jump to conclusions, let's pump the brakes. It might not be too early to think about the midterms as a market catalyst. We'll be doing plenty of that. But we think it's too early to strategize around it. Why? First, a lot can change—both in terms of likely outcomes and the issues driving the electorate. While Democrats are favored today, redistricting, turnout, and evolving voter concerns could reshape the landscape in the months to come. Second, even if Democrats take control of the House, it may not change the trajectory of the policies that matter most to market pricing. In our view, Republicans already achieved their main legislative goals through the tax and fiscal bill earlier this year. The other market-moving policy shifts this year—think tariffs and regulatory changes—have come through executive action, not legislation. The administration has leaned heavily on executive powers to set trade policy, including the so-called Liberation Day tariffs, and to push regulatory changes. Future potential moves investors are watching, like additional regulation or targeted stimulus, would likely come the same way. Meanwhile, the plausible Republican legislative agenda—like further tax cuts—would face steep hurdles. Any majority would be slim, and fiscal hawks in the party nearly blocked the last round of cuts due to concerns over spending offsets. Moderates, for their part, are unlikely to tolerate deeper cuts, especially after the contentious debate over Medicaid in the OBBBA (One Big Beautiful Bill Act). So, what could change this view? If we're wrong, it's likely because the economy slows and tips into recession, making fiscal stimulus more politically appealing—consistent with historical patterns. Or, Democrats could win so decisively on economic and affordability issues that the White House considers standalone stimulus measures, like reducing some tariffs. How does this all connect to markets? For U.S. equities, the current policy mix—industrial incentives, tax cuts, and AI-driven capex—has supported risk assets and driven opportunities in sectors like technology and manufacturing. But it also means that, looking deeper into next year, if growth disappoints, fiscal concerns could emerge as a risk factor challenging the market. There doesn't appear an obvious political setup to shift policies to deal with elevated U.S. deficits, meaning the burden is on better growth to deal with this issue. Thanks for listening. Every month, I record two episodes — one BTS, “inside voice” convo, and one audio course to help you navigate living a creative, intuitive life with more ease, abundance, and wonder. In this episode, I dive into Colin Bedell's recent video about the state of astrology and the problematic ways fear-mongering and rigid control dynamics have infiltrated spiritual spaces. Colin's call for a “big reset” — one that centers sovereignty, nuance, and grace over black-and-white thinking — had me kicking my feet under my chair in abject GLEE. (I also love when his New Jersey affect popped out… it was truly perfect, absolutely no notes.)And and AND I extend his critique beyond astrology to the world that Holisticism inhabits — a smorgasborg of intuitive business advice, wellness/well-being frameworks, and creative work. If you haven't watched Colin's video yet, I highly recommend it. For my full thoughts (messy and unedited, for better or worse)… just press play on the episode. Now, let's talk about something I do love: planning! If you're thinking about launching an offer before the year ends (yes, there's still time but we're reaaaaally pushing it!), here's your roadmap.

Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Open for Business! President Donald Trump officially signed legislation reopening the federal government after a 43-day shutdown. The segment opens with audio from Trump at the Resolute Desk, where he criticizes Democrats for what he calls an attempted “extortion” of American taxpayers to fund benefits for illegal immigrants. Clay and Buck analyze the political fallout, questioning whether Democrats will repeat shutdown tactics in 2026 as part of their midterm election strategy. The conversation transitions into a broader discussion on Senate filibuster reform, with Clay advocating for procedural changes to prevent future shutdowns driven by minority party obstruction. Buck adds historical context, referencing past filibuster modifications and the potential consequences of further rule changes. Uncle Bill: All for Nothing A wide-ranging interview with bestselling author and media veteran Bill O’Reilly. Clay and Buck do a deep dive into the political fallout from the recent government shutdown, which O’Reilly attributes to far-left consultants steering the Democratic Party into a failed strategy aimed at making pandemic-era Obamacare spending permanent. He argues that the shutdown hurt millions of Americans and yielded no real gains for Democrats, who now risk being branded as the “mean party” heading into the 2026 midterms. The hosts and O’Reilly also discuss the resurfacing of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, which they believe was used as a distraction from Democratic missteps. The conversation shifts to the 2028 presidential race, where Clay and Buck predict Gavin Newsom and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as the likely Democratic ticket. O’Reilly disagrees, citing Newsom’s poor record in California, including mass outmigration and corruption scandals, and suggests Maryland Governor Wes Moore as a more viable alternative. The trio also debate the dangers of artificial intelligence in politics and media, highlighting the rise of deepfake videos and AI-generated misinformation. O’Reilly references a false image involving President Donald Trump that was cited by Rep. Melanie Stansberry, warning that AI will make it increasingly difficult to distinguish truth from fiction. The hosts call for urgent reform of defamation and libel laws to protect public figures and citizens from malicious AI content. What H-1B Visas Are Supposed To Be The H-1B visa program triggers a contentious exchange between Laura Ingraham and President Trump. Trump defends the need for foreign talent in specialized industries, while Ingraham argues that American workers should be prioritized. Buck provides data indicating that over 750,000 H-1B visa holders are currently working in the U.S., with India accounting for 75% of recent recipients. Clay and Buck debate whether the program is being abused by corporations to undercut American wages and bypass domestic hiring. Buck clarifies that Trump’s comments about lacking domestic talent were aimed at highly specialized roles, such as semiconductor manufacturing, where foreign expertise is temporarily needed. Multiple callers share firsthand experiences with H-1B hires, sparking a robust debate. A computer programmer from California claims foreign workers were paid less despite equal performance. A North Carolina business owner defends the program, citing higher productivity among foreign hires. An engineering manager warns of wage suppression and offshoring trends, while another caller shares how his son’s defense contractor job was outsourced to foreign engineers despite national security concerns. Female Mamdani? Clay and Buck dive into some breaking news, cultural commentary, and audience-driven debate, beginning with reports of a violent incident involving Alina Habba, a U.S. attorney in New Jersey, whose office was attacked by a bat-wielding suspect. Clay and Buck highlight the growing concern over left-wing violence and express relief that Habba is unharmed. They also cover Senator John Fetterman’s hospitalization following a fall caused by a ventricular fibrillation episode, noting his humorous response and drawing parallels to historical political wit. The hour transitions into a critique of Michelle Obama’s recent comments on race and beauty, with Clay and Buck arguing that identity politics are eroding public discourse. They dissect her career trajectory, including her high-paying diversity role at the University of Chicago Medical Center, and question the merit of such positions. This leads into a broader discussion about the Democratic Party’s push for government-run grocery stores, citing examples from Seattle and New York City. Clay and Buck mock the idea as reminiscent of failed socialist models like Cuba, and reference studies—including one from The New York Times—showing that increased access to healthy food does not necessarily change consumer behavior in low-income communities. Clay and Buck argue that food deserts are often misrepresented and that consumer choice, not corporate abandonment, drives product availability. They emphasize the inefficiency of government-run enterprises, citing failed experiments in cities like Kansas City, and warn against policies that ignore market realities. The conversation includes a call from a listener in Rochester, New York, who explains that theft and crime—not lack of demand—are driving grocery stores out of urban areas. The hosts agree, noting that store closures also eliminate local jobs and further destabilize communities.
