Joe emphasizes the need to take actionable steps to improve our self-esteem and mindset, highlighting that true change comes from engaging in esteemable acts rather than simply “faking it.”“So we don't want to go there because the only way I'm going to get to feeling better is to be acting useful. You want to feel useful? Act useful. You want to improve your self-esteem? Do esteemable acts. We act our way into better thinking. I ain't faking anything—I'm walking into it with purpose and hoping that my faith is in a good place. And so far, a hundred percent of the time, it has been. After making our review, we ask God's forgiveness and inquire what corrective measures should be taken. I don't always know what should be done—I need to ask. And I need forgiveness from a higher source. I hear people all the time say you just have to forgive yourself. No, you don't. Believe in the one He sent. You are the forgiveness that the next person needs. You've already been given it.”Joe's discussion focuses on the significance of faith and the transformative power of purposeful action.Join us as Joe McDonald reads and expands on the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, offering deeper understanding and practical advice for those on their recovery journey. Rediscovering yourself (maybe you forgot you after your MS diagnosis?). Plus, learning can enhance your quality of life, reduce stress (like learning a new hobby), reduce boredom, empower you and increase your confidence. Knowledge is power, and learning more also could set a good example for others (such as Dan going back at school inspired Jennifer to pursue an online art class). Be sure to catch the “MS in Their Voices” segment where Jennifer convinced Dan to read his Vocation and Purposeful Action paper from his graduate leadership program, where he explains the reason why he does what he does and what he believes is his true vocation in life. Most men David has encountered, in his past and his work, tend to avoid discomfort, trying to bypass the fire. Manifesting can be broken down to four cyclical phases: mindset shifting, intuitive planning, conscious action taking, and releasing attachment. I've referred to these as a manifesting “step by step” plan in previous podcast episodes. When you're first learning to mindfully manifest, the path you follow through these phases is much more linear. But as you get better at deliberate manifesting, you begin to realize that it's always an ongoing cycle. The phases blur together. And the Universe will always meet you where you are. In this podcast episode, I wanted to go into a bit more detail about each of these manifesting stages, and how to identify where you currently are on your manifesting journey. Once you have a better understanding of where you stand, you'll be empowered to take the next step forward.

Mike Hill joins for me for a multi-episode exploration of the masterful book “Lila: An Inquiry Into Morals” written by best-selling author Robert Pirsig. This book may be one of the most undervalued ever written, as it proposes an alternative interpretation of reality that Pirsig calls “The Metaphysics of Quality” (MOQ). According to MOQ, reality is not made up of substance, but rather it is composed of distinct patterns of value. In a Copernican-like revolution of perspective, MOQ sheds new light on age-old debates such as moral relativism, the nature of subject-object duality, good vs. evil, science vs. religion, the importance of freedom, and the primacy of action.Be sure to check out NYDIG, one of the most important companies in Bitcoin: https://nydig.com/GUESTMike's Website: https://www.mikehill.design/PODCASTPodcast Website: https://whatismoneypodcast.com/Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-what-is-money-show/id1541404400Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/25LPvm8EewBGyfQQ1abIsE?si=wgVuY16XR0io4NLNo0A11A&nd=1RSS Feed: https://feeds.simplecast.com/MLdpYXYITranscript:OUTLINE00:00:00 “What is Money?” Intro00:00:08 The Metaphysical Lens of Subject-Object Duality00:02:08 Quality: The Pre-Intellectual Cutting Edge of Reality00:04:30 Western Rationalism and Eastern Mysticism00:07:36 “The Master and His Emissary”00:08:57 Totalitarianism: Left Hemispheric Dominance Writ Large00:10:20 Systemic Change Requires A New Rationality00:12:57 Dynamic Quality and the Four Levels of Static Quality00:16:56 The Co-Determination of Agent and Arena Identities00:19:12 The Etymology of “God”00:20:17 Subject-Object Duality as Lower Resolution Static Quality00:24:13 Dynamic Quality: Awareness, The Flow State, and Observation00:27:09 Iconoclasm and The Overton Window00:29:26 The Emergence of Static Patterns of Value00:33:17 Purposeful Action vs. Reflexive Behavior00:36:28 The Phase Transitions through Four Levels of Static Quality00:40:09 The Teleological Goal of Evolution?00:41:54 NYDIG00:43:03 The Dynamic Quality Perspective on Good vs. Evil00:47:34 Pain: “The Inarguable Basis of Being” and “Information”00:51:07 Transjectivity: The Transcendence of Subject-Object Duality00:57:21 Quality, Value, Excellence, and Values: All Transjective Terms01:02:45 “All Language is a Lie”: The Importance of Useful Fictions01:05:01 Fractal Truth, Archetypal Mythologies, and Data Compression01:10:07 “The Laws of Nature are Moral Laws”SOCIALBreedlove Twitter: https://twitter.com/Breedlove22WiM? The stress of falling in line with family's expectations mixed with the struggle of mental health, AND topped with the uncertainty on what to even do in life, as one transitions into adulthood, is all really heavy to deal with. How can I soak up my 20's with all this weight on my shoulders? Do I have to do this all alone? Is it all even worth it?From hating school and only gaining 30 credits in a span of 5 years of college and 5 colleges, to eventually being recognized as an All-Conference and MVP, graduating summa cum laude, being awarded the entrepreneurship student of the year and being a recipient of the President's award.
