All recent episodes & clips can be found here: https://wawdpod.comThis week on the What Are We Doing podcast, I walk you through the chaos I created by accidentally becoming a full-blown Pokémon addict. One minute, I am DJing a wedding. The next minute I blacked out on Whatnot, buying 280 cards in a single weekend. My mail lady thinks I am laundering money. My wife thinks I need a financial advisor. I think I am building the greatest cardboard empire in Central Pennsylvania. What are we doing?I also break down my new beef with Sheets. Everyone online is getting purple limited edition shirts. I keep getting the default green one they print in bulk. It is disrespectful. And after what they did to Kodak's tacos, I am switching to Wawa until further notice. Sheets, make it right. Send the colors. All of them. From there, we get into the week's wild stories. Trump is out here taking credit for McDonald's lowering prices. There is a McDonald's Impact Summit. Sharknado 7 is in production. Japan is solving bear attacks with volunteers in bear costumes. Congress is releasing the Epstein files. TikTok is pushing AI songs that sound better than half the industry. It is a full chapter of modern American confusion. I guide you through every piece of it.If you are new here, hit subscribe. Most of you watching are not subscribed. Help the channel out. It is free. One click. Thank you.And check out the bonus Pokémon haul video this week. Over $2,000 in cards. Graded, vintage, promos, movie exclusives. The whole stack. It is on the channel and on wadpod.com.New episode next week. Stay safe. Hug the family. Eat the turkey. And when your relatives ask what you are thankful for, answer correctly. Donald Trump and his Epstein connection. Leadership coach Natasha Skolny joins Minter Dial to explore authentic leadership through the lens of her figure skating background. Based in Toronto, Skolny works with high-achieving women seeking to lead on their own terms whilst shedding corporate armour. The conversation examines how sports cultivate self-knowledge, the challenge of balancing authenticity with professional expectations, and why genuine connection matters more than conformity. From navigating social media's impact on future leaders to understanding the difference between being yourself and truly knowing yourself, this episode challenges conventional leadership wisdom whilst emphasising the power of vulnerability and presence in creating meaningful impact. Key Points: 1. Corporate Armour and Authenticity: Women leaders often conform to masculine leadership styles to be heard, particularly in boardrooms. Dropping this protective armour and leading authentically—through vulnerability and genuine connection—creates more impactful leadership than maintaining a protective facade. 2. Conversation as Leadership's Highest Tool: Intentional, present conversations build trust and connection with teams. In an AI-driven world focused on efficiency, creating space for genuine human interaction—understanding what matters to people beyond their work output—distinguishes exceptional leadership from mere management.

Dave Rubin of "The Rubin Report" talks to Scott Galloway about his new book "Notes on Being a Man"; the chilling stats behind the crisis in men; how big tech companies are rewiring young men into becoming "asocial and asexual"; how algorithms, dopamine hits, endless scrolling, porn, and gaming isolate young men from genuine relationships; how smartphones and AI-driven synthetic relationships are creating a generation unable to handle rejection or build confidence; how tech addiction is similar to tobacco and opioids; why loneliness a public-health crisis engineered by profit incentives; how AI algorithms push people to political extremes through shaming and fear of social expulsion; how likes and comments manipulate behavior more than we realize; why most viral engagement is meaningless, driven by bots and outrage incentives; why the future will divide between those who escape the algorithm and those trapped by it; why you should audit your personal addictions; explains why quitting Twitter dramatically improved his mental health; why young men must learn the skill or thriving through rejection; how men can build a meaningful life despite economic anxiety; why agency still exists and victim narratives from universities only breed helplessness; how young men can reclaim 8–12 hours a week from their phones and reallocate it toward fitness, work, and real-world community; why earning money, building confidence through rejection, and meeting people offline is more important than you realize; how a frictionless digital life erodes resilience, excellence, and relationships; and much more.

Mike joins Matt Lewis for a lively crossover conversation that opens with deep dives into Huey Lewis puns before shifting into the Democrats' "affordability" message, why word wars matter more than policy wins, and how political optics collide with economic reality. They unpack everything from tariffs to AI dislocation to the future of the Democratic bench — and why charisma might matter more than infrastructure. Later, Mike breaks down the exploding sports-betting scandals in baseball and the NBA, how prop bets make cheating easier to spot, and why league integrity hinges on catching every idiot who thinks he can game the system. Plus: a brief remembrance of Parker Lewis, the Ferris-Bueller-for-TV that almost worked. Airbnb is tightening regulations. Mom-and-pop hotel owners are retiring in waves. And the modern traveler doesn't want cookie-cutter rooms anymore — they want design-driven, Instagrammable stays with real hospitality baked in.In this episode, Rich breaks down the exact playbook he used to escape his 9–5 as an air traffic controller and build a fast-growing boutique hotel portfolio with seller financing, AI, and influencer-powered marketing. You'll hear how he bought hotels for six figures down, doubled revenue in 60 days just by turning on OTAs, and why boomers offloading no-tech properties is the biggest wealth transfer no one's talking about.Rich also reveals the levers that make boutique hotels scale way faster than Airbnbs ever could: dynamic pricing with AI, automated concierge systems guests think are human, turning innkeeper suites into revenue, amenity-fee arbitrage, and a weekly influencer pipeline that no big-brand hotel can replicate. If you've ever wondered how to get into hotels without being “rich,” or how boutique assets can outperform multifamily in today's market, this is the blueprint — from acquisition to operations to forced appreciation.Tap in. Moment of Clarity - Backstage of Redacted Tonight with Lee Camp
Lee Camp breaks down the real-world fallout of the US–China trade war and why the “big win” headlines don't match what actually happened. With sharp comedy and clear receipts, Lee explains how tariffs, supply-chain pressure, and political grandstanding pushed everyday Americans—especially farmers and manufacturers—into the blast zone, only for policy to drift back toward the same place it started. If you've been wondering what the trade deal really changed, this episode connects the dots in plain English.A big focus here is rare earth minerals, the not-so-glamorous backbone of modern technology. Lee walks through how these materials power everything from phones and batteries to advanced industrial systems, and why refining matters as much as mining. You'll hear why China remains a key player in rare earth processing, how that leverage shaped negotiations, and what it means for the future of US-China economic competition, high-tech manufacturing, and global supply chains.Lee also dives into the changing balance of innovation and production, including how China's tech growth is reshaping global markets. From electronics to AI, this segment explores why older assumptions about “cheap imports” no longer hold, and what happens when a trade strategy collides with a world where technological leadership is up for grabs. Expect some hilarious metaphors—plus a sober look at how policy choices ripple through research, industry, and the broader economy. Then the show pivots to newly revealed ExxonMobil documents and the global story of climate messaging, fossil fuel subsidies, and stalled progress on emissions. Lee outlines how disinformation campaigns spread internationally, why climate commitments keep missing their targets, and how massive public subsidies for fossil fuels complicate the path forward. If you care about energy policy, climate solutions, and who's shaping the narrative behind the scenes, this part is essential viewing.Watch, share, and subscribe for more fearless comedy and deep-dive analysis every week. In 2023, about 73 million Americans on Affordable Care Act plans had their claims for in-network services denied, and less than 1% of them tried to appeal. Jay Allen interviews Todd Conklin about his new book, The Stability Trap, exploring why even safe, stable organizations can fail. They discuss the "drive to zero," complacency, pressures on middle management, wearables and data, and lessons from aviation and the pandemic. The episode also covers how AI was used to reorganize the book's ideas and help craft its ending, and offers practical reframes: treat safety as a capacity, see workers as system monitors, and retool systems to match capacity with risk. This week: Jeff Bezos is back in startup mode (sort of) with Project Prometheus — a $6.2 billion AI-for-the-physical-world venture that instantly became one of the most talked-about new companies in tech. We dig into what his return to the CEO title really means, why the company’s location is still a mystery, and how this echoes the era when Bezos was regularly launching big bets from Seattle. Then we look at Amazon’s latest real-world experiment: package-return kiosks popping up inside Goodwill stores around the Seattle region. It’s a small pilot, but it brings back memories of the early days when Amazon’s oddball experiments seemed to appear out of nowhere. And finally…Todd makes the case for upgrading his 2007 Toyota Camry with CarPlay, Android Auto, and a backup camera — while John questions the logic of sinking thousands into a beloved older car. All that, plus a mystery Microsoft shirt, a little Seattle nostalgia, and a look ahead to next week’s podcast collaboration with Me, Myself and AI from MIT Sloan Management Review.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In this explosive Boiler Room session, host Bryan “Hesher” McClain is joined by Ruckus, Mystical Pharaoh, Mark Anderson, Bazed Lit Analyzer and Randy J for a deep-dive into a turbulent week of geopolitical maneuvers, cyber hostilities, domestic policy absurdities, and the return of the Epstein blackmail nexus to the headlines. The crew kicks things off examining the latest Epstein files update, exploring what's newly surfaced, what it means for intelligence networks, and why certain elites continue to panic about the case resurfacing. From there, the conversation turns global as Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince MBS announces a staggering trillion-dollar investment into the United States — a move with massive implications for energy, defense, infrastructure, and the future balance of power between Washington and the Gulf states.Back home, DHS is claiming that Charlotte's traffic improvements are due to deportations, prompting the Boiler Room to dissect what's really happening on the ground and whether this is policy spin, data manipulation, or a quiet admission of deeper problems.Congress also enters the crosshairs as Rep. Thomas Massie openly distances himself from the President on foreign policy, telling reporters: “I'm not in sync with the President… foreign entanglements…” — a statement that may foreshadow cracks within the GOP as the U.S. stretches itself across multiple global fronts. Finally, the team breaks down reports of a Chinese AI-powered cyberattack on U.S. networks, analyzing whether this marks a new escalation in digital warfare and what it signals about the future of state-level AI confrontation.Expect sharp analysis, dark humor, geopolitical context, technopolitics, and classic Boiler Room grit as the gang dissects the emerging battle lines of a rapidly shifting world.Reference Links:Anthropic says it ‘disrupted' what it calls ‘the first documented case of a large-scale AI cyberattack executed without substantial human intervention'Grave warnings issued after AI carries out first large-scale cyber attack with Sen Bill HagertyJared Kushner and Steve Witkoff's extended 60 Minutes interviewConvicted US spy Pollard arrives in Israel, welcomed by PMMAGA Melts Down at Trump Ambassador Over Bombshell Spy MeetingThat time Trump said “Quiet Piggy” to the ladyMarjorie Taylor Greene Resigns – Her message to AmericaMike Huckabee ruinining Sweet Home Alabama, on stage, analyzed by Keaton and Russell at Due DissidenceSupport:Support BOILER ROOM & ACRPatreon (Join and become a member)Shop BOILER ROOM Merch Store

Send us a textOn this episode, we're talking about AI, the Fed, crypto, and housing --- and how those stories all suddenly collided this week. Nvidia's huge earnings beat briefly sent markets higher, but the rally fizzled fast as investors grew more anxious about a potential AI bubble. We walk through why valuations increasingly assume massive job displacement and unprecedented productivity gains, and why Oracle has become the market's “AI downside” hedge as its stock price collapses and its credit spreads blow out.Zooming out to the macro picture: delayed economic data finally hit, with job growth surprising to the upside, suggesting the Fed might not be delivering a December cut after all. Combine that with softening AI sentiment, and we're seeing a classic risk-off move: equities selling and cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin showing the most stress. Even though headline data looks fine, the real-world "vibes" (sorry, couldn't help ourselves) feel recessionary, with people struggling to find jobs while prices (especially housing prices) remain painfully high. That leads us into the debate over 50-year mortgages. We explain why extending mortgages just means paying interest for decades, barely building equity, and ultimately bidding home prices even higher. The idea of a transferable 50-year mortgage makes even LESS sense. It breaks basic collateral math and would require higher rates, not lower, to actually facilitate implementation. Many manufacturers are taking the wrong approach to artificial intelligence, picking the wrong implementation partners, and in general, not preparing their data effectively. In this interview, Aaron Lober - VP of Marketing at CADDi - is going to share what AI can realistically do for a manufacturing company and how to properly prepare for an AI implementation.
Europe's macro outlook is shifting. After years of fiscal restraint and fragmented policy, the region is entering a new chapter one centered on pro-growth fiscal policy, energy security, and capital-market reform. For investors, this transformation signals the potential for renewed momentum in European equities and fixed income. In this episode of The Bid, host Oscar Pulido speaks with Helen Jewell, Chief Investment Officer for EMEA Fundamental Equities, and Roelof Salomons, Chief Investment Strategist for Northern Europe at the BlackRock Investment Institute, about how Europe's evolving macro and investing environment is creating new opportunities across sectors. They explore how fiscal flexibility is enabling investment in productivity and innovation, how energy transition and AI demand are reshaping infrastructure and power markets, and why European banks, defense companies, and energy-efficiency leaders have emerged as standouts. The conversation also looks at the valuation gap between Europe and the U.S., the implications of potential ECB rate cuts, and what reforms could drive a broader, more durable resurgence.Key Takeaways:· Europe's shift toward fiscal flexibility marks its first explicitly pro-growth stance in over a decade.· The intersection of energy transition and AI is driving infrastructure and power investment.· Banks, defense, and efficiency-focused industrials remain strong performers.· Europe still trades at a discount to the U.S., offering selective opportunity.· Integration of capital markets could unlock long-term competitiveness.Key moments in this episode:00:00 Introduction: Europe's Economic Challenges and Optimism01:10 Meet the Experts: Helen Jewell and Roelof Salomons02:17 Historical Context: Europe's Economic Journey03:51 Current Barriers and Progress in Europe05:40 Sector Focus: Defense, Banks, and Energy08:49 Fiscal Policy and Unified European Growth10:33 Energy and AI: The Long-Term Investment Landscape14:30 Valuation and Market Opportunities in Europe17:17 Conclusion: Path to a Broad Resurgence in Europe19:21 Closing Remarks and Future OutlookEurope investing; Europe macro; European equities; investing in Europe; capital-markets union; energy transition Europe; European fiscal policy; European banks; AI power demand; ECB rate cuts; BlackRock Investment Institute; European defense; valuation gap; competitiveness in EuropeSources: “What's needed for an investment renaissance in Europe?”, BlackRock Investment Institute, October 2025; NATO, August 2025; BlackRock Fundamental Equities analysis, September 2025; “Entering The Age of Electricity”, IEA Electricity Demand 2025;This content is for informational purposes only and is not an offer or a solicitation. In this episode, Alexandra returns from Experience 2025 with a renewed voice—literally and figuratively. After a whirlwind of hockey coaching, travel, and the inevitable fall-break cold, she reflects on what kids learning to skate can teach adults about bravery, mindset, and the power of getting back up quickly.Alexandra sits down with keynote speaker, bestselling author, and podcast host Amy Jo Martin, who describes herself as a “renegade of life” and a lifelong learner. Together, they explore what it means to embrace curiosity, take the next brave step, and say “Why not now?”—whether in your creative practice, your career, or your personal world.Amy Jo shares her renegade rules, including asking for forgiveness instead of permission, buying back time through AI, and learning to green-light your own ideas today rather than someday. She also tells the incredible story of how she accidentally helped launch the very first Twitter verified checkmark and how that moment changed her career forever.Alexandra also recaps her favorite moments from Experience 2025. Whether you're a designer, a leader, or someone standing at the edge of your next “trampoline moment,” this episode challenges you to move forward—today, not tomorrow—and surround yourself with people who cheer when you fall and when you rise.Learn more about Amy Jo MartinFollow Amy Jo Martin on LinkedInListen to Amy Jo's podcast "Why Not Now?"Buy Amy Jo Martin's book: "Renegades Write The Rules"Connect with Alexandra on LinkedInFollow The Design Pop on LinkedInAccess on-demand training at The Design POP.Questions? In this episode, I sit down with Davi Strazza, who leads Adyen's business in North America. Davi brings a fascinating global perspective on payments, having spent over a decade at Adyen working across Brazil and now the US market. We also examine what American fintech can learn from Brazil's Pix system, discuss whether pay by bank will gain meaningful traction in the US, and look at how AI is transforming everything from personalized customer experiences to fraud prevention.
