Gavin talks about losing his camera gear when he was young, rediscovering image-making through the iPhone and Hipstamatic, and then finding a deeper creative groove through daily shooting, books, zines, and long-term projects. What comes through most is how photography, for him, is tied to rhythm, intuition, and being fully present in the moment, with music and visual composition feeding each other in a very personal way.  The conversation also gets into the way Gavin works: his graphic sense of color and design, his experiments with off-camera flash, his water photography, and the making of his book Symphony Number Five. Along the way, Antonio and Ward respond to the emotional pull of Gavin's pictures, especially one Sydney Opera House image that sends the discussion into ideas about wonder, timing, and why certain photographs hit so deeply. Et la résilience — souvent présentée comme un idéal — a un coût corporel réel (charge allostatique) qu'on invisibilise systématiquement.Pourquoi c'est important :Arrêter de vendre la résilience sans mentionner ce qu'elle coûte. Reconnaître que "tenir" n'est pas la même chose qu'"être indemne". 6. L'optimalisme et la joie rebelle comme posture de navigation [43:55 – 45:35]Ni déni ("la tech va tout résoudre"), ni résignation ("on n'y peut rien"). L'optimalisme = regarder lucidement la réalité, y compris ses parties sombres, et agir quand même avec engagement et créativité. La joie rebelle = une discipline, pas une humeur. Un choix, pas un confort.Pourquoi c'est important :C'est la troisième voie que VLAN essaie de tenir depuis le début. Elle s'ancre ici dans une littérature de recherche solide, pas dans un vœu pieux. QUESTIONS POSÉES OU POSABLES 1. Tu utilises le mot "chaos" en permanence — mais qu'est-ce que tu voulais dire par là, avant ce déjeuner avec Pablo ?2. Cette phrase de Pablo — "la vie danse au bord du chaos" — elle t'a arrêté net. Qu'est-ce qui s'est passé dans ta tête à ce moment précis ?3. Michael Kaloki tracks how his bold style is evolving as he travels to Mexico where. he says, street art is more widely accepted than in Nairobi, a city where he tends to paint murals in densely populated districts like Kibera and Jericho. On this trip to Mexico, Wise Two has started using a more varied colour palette and not just the traditional primary colours of Maasai masks he was known for. He is also using gold leaf on smaller canvases and abstract shapes on a tricky commission to paint cylindrical air-conditioning vents, not the usual flat surface which graffiti artists decorate.
