Not everything is perfect in the Travis Kelce/Taylor Swift world as a charity watchdog has identified Kelce's 87 and Running as a fiscal hot mess.  Get this, only 41% of the money the charity raises goes to actual programs.  The rest, apparently, goes to Kelce's buddies that run the thing.  Uh oh.  Here's the good news, Kelce is exactly the kind of guy that would have no idea this is happening, but I'll bet his fiance cleans up his affairs quickly.    KU had a comeback for the ages  beating TCU at Allen Field House Tuesday night.  This is exactly what Bill Self does, even when it feels like it was the other team that blew it.    It's time to celebrate as the Corporation for Public Broadcasting dissolves after a vote of the board.  This has been a taxpayer nightmare since 1967 and now PBS and NPR will have to stand on their own legs.    Trump's getting 50 million barrels of oil from Venezuela and is ordering them to stop drilling until they meet ALL of his terms.  And, he's eying a deal with Greenland now.   He really is making America great, this is just incredible.    Ravens coach John Harbaugh is sacked after 18 years but they fired the wrong guy.  I'll prove it to you.   Sporting KC has a new head coach, the A's can't get the trademark in Las Vegas and the media has a new story to try to take your eyes and ears off all the winning right now.

If you’re getting sober in 2026, make it your only focus—everything else can wait. Here we are, in that weird part of early January where everyone’s trying to overhaul their entire life at once. New year, new you, right? Quit drinking AND hit the gym AND change your diet AND meditate AND deal with your trauma… all at the same time. But…  when you try to transform everything simultaneously, you’re not being ambitious—you’re sabotaging the one thing that actually matters. Today is my 20th sobriety birthday, and I’m sharing something that helped me get from one day to the next in early recovery: making sobriety my ONE thing. This simple approach allowed me to start accumulating time, finding relief, and building belief in myself—one day at a time. Because sobriety isn’t 10% of your energy. It’s 100%. In this episode, we dive into: >> The hard truth about alcohol: it worked as your relief system, and you have to replace that relief >> Why early sobriety is a full-time job disguised as “just not drinking” >> How to do an inventory of your pain points and build a new survival toolkit >> The ONE question to guide every decision: Is this getting me closer to sobriety or closer to a drink? Early sobriety means managing cravings, sitting with unbearable feelings, rewiring every social situation, and learning to survive without your only coping mechanism. That’s not a side project. That’s the entire project. If you’re getting sober in 2026, or recommitting to sobriety, make it your sole focus. Do this one thing well. Master it. And when it becomes stable, you can add something else. But right now? Just stay sober. Everything else comes from that. Listen in, and remember: sobriety IS the transformation. As a master Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®, author, and fibro podcaster, the questions I'm asked more than any others are: How do I get better? How do I improve my Fibromyalgia so I can get back to living the life I want to live? While those sound like simple questions, they do not have simple answers. We all have similar symptoms, what helps you feel better may not be the thing that helps me feel better. We all have to find our own magic formula for what makes us feel best. I know from personal experience just how overwhelming it can be to find that formula on your own. That's why I created a training program in 2015 that would teach people just like you how to improve their own Fibromyalgia, and how to help others do the same. In this first episode of a special series where I'll be answering a lot of questions I get about our Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor® class and about becoming a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach®, I want to start super basic. We're going over what a Certified Fibromyalgia Coach® is, how that's different from a Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor®, why you should consider the Advisor class if you're a patient who just wants to feel better, who else the Advisor class is perfect for, what the certification aspect really means, the staggering statistics on how many participants see significant improvements in their symptoms by the end of the Advisor class.       Note: This episode is not meant to be medical advice. Every person and every situation is unique. The information you learn in this episode should be shared and discussed with your own healthcare providers. Join us at our next Virtual Open House! In this episode of Acta Non Verba, host Marcus Aurelius Anderson sits down with Rhett Power, CEO and co-founder of Accountability, Inc., to discuss his groundbreaking new book "Head of Metals: How Leaders Silence Negative Self-Talk and Transform How They Lead." In this raw and powerful conversation, Rhett reveals why self-talk is the most ignored driver of leadership performance and shares practical strategies for managing the mental noise that kills focus, concentration, and culture. From the 3 C's of the Maverick Method to the "plutonium problem" of toxic narratives, this episode delivers actionable insights for leaders ready to reclaim control over their inner voice and build championship teams. Episode Highlights: [2:10] The Seven-Year Journey to Head of Metals - Rhett shares the intensive process of writing Head of Metals with co-authors Ryan Gottfredson and Dr. Susie Burkin, including seven rewrites over seven years. He reveals how the book unexpectedly helped a surgeon's teenage sons prepare for exams, proving that self-talk mastery transcends age and profession. [14:57] The Three C's: Catch, Challenge, Change - Rhett breaks down the simple but powerful framework for managing self-talk: Catch it (notice harmful narratives), Challenge it (question if it's true, useful, or even yours), and Change it (replace destructive narratives with grounded thinking). He provides a practical exercise: write down your negative narratives and track them with check marks to identify patterns. [16:38] The Plutonium Problem: When Leader Self-Talk Infects Teams - Discover why negative self-talk is like plutonium—toxic, powerful, and invisible. Rhett explains how leaders' mental narratives leak into their teams, creating radioactive thinking that destroys engagement, retention, and performance. He shares a powerful story of a CEO who discovered his assistant triggered unresolved childhood issues with his mother. [26:15] AI as a Leadership Mirror - Rhett discusses his involvement in developing an AI coaching platform that provides real-time data to help coaches and leaders identify blind spots. He compares it to film study in sports—giving leaders instant replay of their performance to make fewer unforced errors and exploit opportunities for growth. Rhett Power is the CEO and co-founder of Accountability, Inc., where he helps leaders break limits, make bold decisions, and drive growth. Recognized as a global guru of top management thinkers and a Marshall Goldsmith 100 Coach, Rhett is the bestselling author of "The Entrepreneur's Book of Actions" and the newly released "Head of Metals." Midseason can feel heavy for girl basketball players. The excitement of the season has worn off, bodies are tired, roles may feel unclear, and confidence can quietly slip. In Episode 156 of the Especially for Athletes, former Division I player and coach Alli Bills speaks directly to athletes living in that tension—and offers perspective that is both grounding and empowering .Alli begins with an honest challenge: “If you want to be great, you have to ask yourself—do I really want to be great?”Midseason is often when players feel discouraged by constant correction, and she reminds athletes that growth doesn't mean you suddenly forgot how to play. “You started the season thinking you were pretty good, and by this point you feel like you can't do anything right,” she explains. Her counsel is to pause and intentionally reconnect with what you do well. “I want you to write down all the things you know you're great at,” she says, emphasizing that belief is the foundation of real development. One of the most powerful parts of the conversation centers on self-talk and consistency. “You are not going to get better if you are not visualizing it or in the gym or in the weight room—it won't happen,” Alli states plainly. She encourages athletes to build simple, repeatable routines and anchor positive self-talk to physical actions. “You cannot think of two things at once,” she teaches. “So choose the positive one.” Whether it's at the free-throw line or during a tough practice, those routines become a mental reset button that brings confidence back when pressure is highest.Alli also reminds players that roles matter—even when they don't show up on the stat sheet. Sharing stories from her coaching career, she highlights athletes who may not have played much but made an enormous impact through effort, energy, and gratitude. “The impact that you can have in any role is up to you—and it can be significant,” she says. Midseason is not the time to shrink or disengage; it's a time to lean in, prepare your body, and be ready. “When your number is called, you don't want to question if you're ready—you want to know you are.”Her message to every girl basketball player is hopeful and demanding at the same time: have a vision, stay consistent, be where your feet are, and don't fear failure. “The only true failure is not trying,” Alli reminds us. Midseason isn't something to survive—it's an opportunity to grow into the player and person you're becoming. The Lean In and McKinsey & Company Women in the Workplace 2025 report claims that, for the first time, women are less likely than men to want a promotion, stating that 80% of women want to be promoted to the next level, compared to 86% of men.  They label this development an “ambition gap”, stating that women are currently less ambitious than men.  This label is wildly inaccurate, deeply offensive, and grossly irresponsible. Calling these findings an “ambition gap” is strategic reframing that places blame back on women, per usual, while letting broken systems (and the power players who uphold them) off the hook.  When powerful institutions confuse correlation with causation and misdiagnose the problem like this, women pay the price. Again. These kinds of reports shape policy, leadership decisions, funding priorities, and how women are talked about at work. This label is not ok.  It is harmful. The report assumes ambition is singular and linear, defined by traditional corporate ascent, and treats women's slower advancement or disengagement as a personal failure instead of a rational response to inequitable systems and poor resource allocation. Most critically, the report ignores caregiving realities entirely.  You cannot meaningfully analyze women's ambition in 2025 without examining care infrastructures - or lack thereof.  Choosing to ignore this is a distortion of reality.  In other words, this is gaslighting.  In this episode, I highlight other voices and data that were conveniently ignored.  This counter data shows us what we already know - women are more ambitious than ever.  Rather than seeking out a deeper understanding of the data, Lean In and McKinsey opted to report dirty diagnostics.  What we know about data analysis is that to get to the real why, you have to dig deeper, think critically, and ask crucial questions of the actual people impacted.  This didn't happen with this reporting. When you actually talk to women, the situation is clear.  We are no longer willing to self-abandon inside systems that refuse to evolve. We know that to get to the reported 80%, we were required to work exponentially harder with fewer resources.  This is proof of our ambition, resilience, and talent, not lack thereof. The headline is not about an ambition gap.  The headline is that women are growing, evolving, and working smarter while institutions largely are not. In reality, what we are seeing is an institutional gap, a patriarchal gap, and a systems gap.  The bottom line is this… If we want to truly understand the evolution of women's ambition, we need to start by examining the systems that punish it. He also talked about Joel Bitonio's lengthy career and why he was able to have as much longevity as he has in the NFL. John also explained why he thinks it was a bad idea for the Browns to not treat Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Berry like a package deal, and how the team now runs the risk of still having a fracture in the locker room.

Her faith, compassion, understanding, dedication and display of radical love has truly been life-changing for me. I was so overwhelmed with feelings of confusion, guilt, and sadness. I felt lost and didn't know how to navigate through the emotional turmoil I was experiencing. However, from the very first call, Jenny created a safe and non-judgmental space for me to share my details. Her ability to listen attentively and empathize while helping me understand a different way of thinking is truly remarkable. She understood my feelings and offered tools each session in ways I have not experienced even from therapy. I am forever thankful for the medicine she has poured into me to be the very best version of myself! This has rippled into all areas of life for me.
