When your website is the face of your brand, how can you optimize and increase conversion? Kurt Elster follows his rule of thumb: simplify. Don't complicate, confuse, or slow down your website when you can optimize and increase conversion rates. By having a traditional landing page with simple, easy-to-read links to your products, consumers can easily navigate on any device and platform — the proof is in the split testing. Join Joe Valley in this episode of the Quiet Light Podcast as he sits down with Kurt Elster, Host of The Unofficial Shopify Podcast and Senior eCommerce Consultant and Shopify Plus Expert at Ethercycle. Together, they break down why “best practice” is unique for everyone, achieving statistically significant results by increasing readability, and upgrading your website to increase conversion rates.

Sean Kopen, eCommerce Manager at The Brick, jumped onto the eCom Ops Podcast to share the significance of automation in eCom, tips on customer handling and how to set up transparent procedures for customer satisfaction.
EP 96: eCommerce Marketing Strategies with American Outdoor Brands’ Jonathan Steffens In Episode 96 of the Lion’s Share Marketing Podcast, Tyler and Jon discuss Facebook’s new tool for small to businesses and creators to conduct and host paid online events through Facebook. The Online Event tool is free for the first year. Facebook is launching this to aid SMBs during the pandemic since the majority of Facebook’s revenue comes from smaller brands. This could be a game-changer if Facebook executes it correctly. Jon and Tyler agree that when there’s a new feature available within a strong platform like Facebook, marketing leaders should test it and see how it works; it may turn out to be something incredibly profitable. Next, Tyler introduces Jonathan Steffens, eCommerce Manager at American Outdoor Brands. Jonathan explains his role at American Outdoor Brands and the unique circumstances that come with housing eighteen different brands. Drawing on his experience in eCommerce, Jonathan explains his approach to attribution modeling, selling products that are challenging to advertise—such as firearm accessories and tools—and managing multiple re-platforming projects at once. He also covers the current trends in eCommerce and the new opportunities for eCommerce marketing leaders during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ultimately, Jonathan advises marketing leaders to constantly be innovating while focusing on one process, technique, or method at a time. Join Tyler, Jon, and Jonathan for more information on effective eCommerce management and marketing challenging products.
EP: Google Helps Merchants with Free Shopping Feed Listings, Plus a Panel! In Episode 85, Tyler and Jon discuss Google making product listings available for free to merchants. Jon goes on to explain how Google wants to make more items noticeable to the public as a response to the current climate of COVID-19. Tyler makes an important point in not slashing one's paid ad budget due to the new organic listings possibly being hidden by paid adds still. He goes on to point out the opportunity available to invest in both organic and paid shopping feeds, highlighting the importance of a well organized and optimized feed. Tyler continues to mention the great opportunity this brings for Google as well as other third party marketplaces like Shopify and Pinterest as Amazon alternatives. Then listeners are treated to an exclusive look at the Scale That Summit panel that Tyler moderated with Ivonne Kinser, the Senior Digital Marketing Director for Avocados from Mexico, Danica Carey, the Marketing Manager at Serius Innovation, as well as Jonathan Steffens, the eCommerce Manager at American Outdoor Brands. The summit guests go on to explain their strategic pivots amidst the pandemic with many of them taking this opportunity as a way to educate both consumers and themselves in this unprecedented era. The panelists touch on a variety of topics, including consumer education, attribution, and job interview tips for listeners that may be on the market. Jon wraps up the podcast with Words of Twisdom from @Command_app. Jon and Tyler affirm the message of caring for consumer needs and having a level of anticipation akin to the methods the Summit guests have taken in order to solidify the consumer-brand relationship in a sincere fashion. Welcome to our new sponsor, Ronati We are kicking off the New Year by tackling that topic of INCREASING YOUR SALES! And to do that we need to start with Marketing for Antique Dealers. Marketing is the #1 way you can increase your sales. I want to debunk myths about websites that I hear Antique Dealers say: Antique Dealers will often tell me they don't need a website because they sell on Instagram or at an antiques mall, antique fairs etc. Let me tell you something… People are more likely to do business with a company they trust, and a website is the first place they go to check out who you are. Even if you have NO intention to ever sell on your website - you need a simple website just to show you exist. Approximately 30% of all consumers won't even consider buying from a business that does not have a website. Selling Antiques is a very visual and experiential product experience. Learn more about marketing for antique dealers by listening to the full podcast, including: How - and what marketing to outsource Visual marketing tools Social media marketing Content marketing Video marketing Local SEO Email marketing Podcasts I'm super excited to introduce our new sponsor for The Business of Antiques Podcast, Ronati.

Leon comes on the show with so much knowledge to share, as he started tapping into Ecommerce very early in his life. And today we are approaching the evolution of Amazon’s role in the Ecommerce space, the importance of building real value for an ever-evolving consumer and the next steps after experiencing so much digital growth. REBBL has identified the issue of unhealthy labor practices and works directly with their growers to help the community. Merging that with a clean, functional and delicious product, REBBL is a brand that found its essence. But even considering that, Amazon can represent a challenge for a perishable product. Tune in to hear Leon’s story about how REBBL is tackling the challenges of today’s dynamic Ecommerce scene. - Prior to joining REBBL, Leon was a Senior Ecommerce & Digital Marketing Manager at Health Warrior and a Brand Director for the world's top-selling ukulele brand, Lanikai Ukulele. Leon started his first digitally native brand as a child when he was only 12 years old, and since then he watched the impressive evolution of the space. Being in the industry for such a long time allowed Leon to gather vast knowledge and insights that will definitely be valuable to you.
