My road to recovery - Stem Cell and PRP edition! If you haven't been following long, my left shoulder has been through a LOT. 9-10 dislocations and full reconstruction done by 2012.Then had a pretty major motorbike crash tore 3 of the 4 rotator cuff muscles off (and bicep) and required 2 open reconstructions to attempt to repair.Still after 4 years I'm sitting at 65% function of that shoulder so next step was finding the right Regenerative Therapies to attempt to rebuild tissue and improve range. Now I've worked with a ton of clients around surgeries and injuries and nothing will top proper movement and a low inflammatory, high protein diet, but looking into Stem Cell and PRP has been a huge learning curve. As with most of my clients, most surgeons are not willing to look at other complimentary treatments to aid recovery so this was way harder than it needed to be to learn. After spending thousands paying specialists to find the best options to repair this shoulder I want to share it with you so I can share you the expense.Top Giveaways: https://bodyreset.online/top-giveaways/Want our health to upgrade your body and energy? Susan is a wellness expert and keynote speaker at the 2023 Annual Biohacking Conference SUSAN BRATTON. As the co-founder of Personal Life Media and The20, she is the go-to authority for biohacking in the bedroom by using natural solutions to boost libido and non-invasive treatments that improve longevity and vitality for both men and women. Susan stands firm in the conviction that passion is ageless. However, few things bring lovemaking to a screeching halt faster than the inability to…show up, shall we say. Most ED treatments are invasive and painful or hinge upon pricey pharmaceutical solutions–and they don't address the root cause of the condition. (Spoiler Alert: This is where the biohacking comes in.) Susan will provide insight into safe, modern, non-invasive treatments such as GAINSWave, which uses high-frequency vibrations to enhance male sexual function, performance, and overall health. And for women, FemiWave which uses low-intensity sound waves to restore sensation and natural lubrication. Everything Susan discusses is safe and developed with and by renowned doctors. Have you ever looked in the mirror and noticed your hair isn't quite as full as it used to be? You're not alone. On this episode, we have a heart-to-heart with Dr. Alan Bauman of Bauman Medical, who brings empathy and expertise to the table as we tackle hair loss in midlife, particularly for women. From genetic factors to emotional impacts, we cover the gamut of this surprisingly common yet often unspoken struggle. Dr. Bauman's personal journey from the inception of his "hair hospital" to becoming a beacon of hope for those facing thinning locks is as inspiring as it is informative.Nutrition isn't just about waistlines; it's integral to our hair's health, too. We chew over the intricacies of hair loss treatments and the role of diet, spotlighting the promise of nutraceuticals like Nutrafol. Dr. Bauman and I debate the pros and cons of prescription treatments, such as the anti-androgen spironolactone and the off-label heroics of finasteride in postmenopausal women. Plus, for all the biotin believers out there, we clear up any dosage dilemmas. Precision tools for tracking treatment progress come under the microscope as well, proving there's more science to hair care than meets the eye.In the realm of hair restoration, it's not just about what's on top that counts. Dr. Bauman guides us through a tour of cutting-edge therapies that are changing lives, strand by strand. From the gentle glow of red light therapy to the meticulous process of modern hair transplants, we uncover the art behind regrowing confidence. And for those fascinated by the flutter of lush lashes, the soaring demand for eyelash transplants emerges as a surprising trend. Whether it's crafting the perfect eyebrow or rejuvenating a hairline, the transformative power of these procedures extends far beyond the physical. So tune in, and witness the artistry and science that's giving hair care a whole new meaning. We also discuss PRP and microneedling as options to stimulate hair growth. The Turbo LaserCap is the ultimate powerful, portable, hands-free, cordless, and rechargeable low-level laser therapy device for men and women designed to deliver non-drug laser therapy for hair growth in a convenient and discreet way.TED uses an ultrasound-based system that uses sound waves and air pressure to enhance the penetration of a powerful topical hair growth formula into the scalp. This combination is designed to increase blood flow, optimize scalp health, and stimulate hair follicles to produce thicker, stronger, healthier hair.Nearly fifty percent of Dr. Bauman's patients start their journey with a virtual consultation. PainExam Podcast Show Notes: Exploring Traumeel as an Alternative for Back Pain Relief Claim CME The CE experience for this Podcast is powered by CMEfy - click here to reflect and earn credits: https://earnc.me/HoEWFd Board Prep and Continuing Education Introduction: Today, Long Island Based Pain Physician David Rosenblum, MD delves into the latest advancements and alternative treatments for pain management. In today's episode, we shine a spotlight on Traumeel®, a homeopathic alternative gaining traction for its anti-inflammatory properties, with fewer reported side effects compared to corticosteroids. Understanding Traumeel: Traumeel, a fixed combination of diluted plant and mineral extracts, has been available over-the-counter in Europe for over 60 years. Contrary to corticosteroids, Traumeel's popularity has surged due to its limited side effect profile, with reported contraindications primarily linked to allergies [9]. View Full Calendar Scientific Insights: A study by Lussignoli et al. demonstrated Traumeel's efficacy in decreasing systemic interleukin-6 production and reducing edema, countering an unregulated inflammatory response [10]. In vitro studies revealed Traumeel's inhibition of pro-inflammatory mediators (IL-1β, TNFα, IL-8) in immune cells, suggesting its potential in stabilizing the immune system [8]. Notably, Traumeel's effectiveness seems to surpass the sum of its individual components, indicating a synergistic interaction [9-10]. Clinical Applications: Traumeel has shown efficacy comparable to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in treating various inflammatory conditions. It is available in oral, topical, and injectable preparations, making it a versatile option for pain relief [8-9]. Research Gaps and Potential: Despite its established use, current research lacks information on Traumeel's efficacy in epidural injections for short-term back pain relief. No studies have compared Traumeel to corticosteroid injections, although the TRARO study protocol proposes a potential avenue for comparison in rotator cuff syndrome patients [11]. Pain Management Board Prep Clinical Cases: Five patients seeking back pain relief opted for Traumeel injections due to either a contraindication to or a preference against steroids. This real-world scenario lays the groundwork for further exploration into Traumeel's efficacy in epidural injections, providing additional pain-relieving options for patients unable to tolerate corticosteroid injections. Conclusion: Traumeel presents a promising alternative for pain management, particularly in cases where corticosteroids may be unsuitable, however the FDA has yet to approve it and therefore it has failed to gain traction in the US. [14] As we wrap up, stay tuned for future developments in the research landscape surrounding Traumeel and its potential role in enhancing pain relief options. I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Jeffrey Gross, a fascinating guest who is on the cutting edge of regenerative medicine and biohacking. Dr. Gross joined me on The Over 50 Health & Wellness Podcast to discuss how we can use science and technology to optimize our health. Dr. Gross is a board-certified neurological surgeon with over 25 years of experience helping patients avoid unnecessary surgeries. More recently, he has focused on anti-aging strategies and founded ReCELLebrate Health to provide regenerative therapies. On the podcast, Dr. Gross outlined some incredible innovations that left my mind blown! We covered emerging treatments like: - PRP (platelet rich plasma) injections- Stem cell therapies - Exosome treatments He explained how these treatments utilize the body's own healing systems to reduce inflammation, repair joints, and even turn back aging. I was fascinated to learn how a simple IV infusion of something called “extracellular vesicles” can make people feel energized, refreshed, and reduce aches and pains. According to Dr. Gross, the science shows these regenerative treatments can potentially help with conditions ranging from arthritis to neurological diseases to cosmetic anti-aging. While not currently approved by the FDA, they are widely available, especially for biohackers and athletes looking for an edge. Listen to this trailblazing episode for a glimpse into the exciting possibilities of biohacking your health for longevity! Dr. Gross provides an expert perspective on how these cutting-edge therapies work and what the future may hold as the research continues to progress. Your Infinite Health: Anti Aging Biohacking, Regenerative Medicine and You
In this episode of Your Infinite Health, LeNae and Dr. Trip, discuss the breakthrough treatments for severe back pain and how regenerative therapies are changing the game. The traditional methods of reactive medicine focus on relieving symptoms rather than promoting healing, which can actually inhibit the healing response, doing more harm than good. LeNae and Dr. Trip advocates using alternative methods such as prolotherapy and injections of biologicals and nanoparticles, which have shown significant pain relief in as little as two weeks.LeNae and Dr. Trip also discusses the use of injections that contain particles found in stem cells, which activate our own stem cells to repair injuries and inflammation. The injection includes anti-inflammatory components that act like steroids but, in a biological manner, allow the body to stimulate the shutdown of the inflammatory response. Unlike steroids, these injections allow for a biological transition from inflammation to repair, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications do virtually the same thing but not as aggressively.Dr. Trip Goolsby and LeNae Goolsby also touch on the importance of finding out the source of back pain and the newly approved FDA technique available for diagnosing ligament trauma using radiological imaging and AI-based algorithms.Dr. Trip Goolsby & LeNae Goolsby are the co-founders of the Infinite Health Integrative Medicine Center, and are also the co-authors of the book “Think and Live Longer”.TakeawaysSteroid injections can have long-term negative effects.Alternatives like prolotherapy offer quick pain relief. It's crucial to find out the source of your back pain.ConnectDr. Trip Goolsby & LeNae Goolsby are the co-founders of the Infinite Health Integrative Medicine Center, and are also the co-authors of the book “Think and Live Longer”.

The work and the outlay and the themes, the hurts, the traumas, the gifts of your lineage, generation after generation, unless someone keeps raising their hand to do the healing work. Everything is in balance, every healing tool, strengthening the power of the other healing tools in the stack, the elegance of not having too many things on board, just the bare minimum, just the right amount. So her's reactions are optional, but healing resp, healing responses are not. And I wish that I had understood that early because so many people use good tools at the wrong time and in the wrong dose. I also wish I had understood that regenerative therapies go a long way, and that can look like therapies you do in the home, self-massage, fascia work, and lymphatic drainage. Abstract: Animal studies have shown that the supporting-cells surviving in the organ of Corti after cochlear insult can be transdifferentiated into hair cells as a treatment for sensorineural hearing loss. Clinical trials of small-molecule therapeutics have been undertaken, but little is known about how to predict the pattern and degree of supporting-cell survival based on audiogram, hearing loss etiology or any other metric obtainable pre-mortem. To address this, we systematically assessed supporting-cell and hair cell survival, as a function of cochlear location, in 274 temporal bone cases from the archives at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear and compared the histopathology with the audiograms and hearing-loss etiologies. Diseases and chronic conditions associated with toxins in your body. The variety of detoxes available. Preparation for your detox. Useful kitchenware. Detoxifying recipes that include drinks, smoothies, soups and more. Resources, and more. Episode Summary: For some, the term 'detox' has become a dirty word. It's no wonder that so many misleading products are making false claims on the market. The truth is, our bodies have been intelligently designed to perform detoxification naturally. We all have innate mechanisms working day and night to help rid the body of harmful substances. However, our exposure to chemicals has increased faster than our ability to detox. This can cause a build of harmful chemicals in the body and lead to disease. For example, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, infertility, certain cancers, and mood disorders have all been associated with toxic overload. If you haven't been feeling your absolute best, you may benefit from a detox. Dr. Robyn Benson's YOUNGER podcast episode called, Demystifying Detox” is being presented to help participants better understand the basic physiology of detoxification and the importance of it to live a youthful, healthy, and regenerative lifestyle. Guest Bio: Dr. Robyn Benson is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM) who brings an innovative and game-changing approach to today's health care. Robyn offers the most advanced and cutting-edge therapies, procedures, and products designed to renew, restore, and revive health called A.R.T.: Amplified Regenerative Therapies. Dr. Benson, author, speaker, and self-care and Regenerative Medicine* expert, is known by many to be THE health detective with life-changing solutions! She has been the owner and founder of the Santa Fe Soul Center for Optimal Health (now Regenerative Medicine) for close to two decades. For almost 30 years, Dr. Benson has applied her considerable knowledge of acupuncture, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, herbs, IV therapies, and her love for healthy travel to help patients resolve acute and chronic health challenges and to achieve optimal and sustainable health without the use of pharmaceuticals or surgery. There are two medical distinctions of toxicity, acute and chronic.” “The body's natural process for detoxification is done by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymphatic system, and skin.” “We are continually bombarded with various chemical and environmental toxins which can slow down the body's elimination process. Detoxification is about resting, cleansing, and nourishing the body from the inside out.”

Dr. Maximina Yun, Ph.D. (https://tu-dresden.de/cmcb/crtd/forschungsgruppen/crtd-forschungsgruppen/yun/group-leader) is Research Group Leader at the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD), Technical University Dresden, jointly affiliated with Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG). Dr. Yun and her group (https://tu-dresden.de/cmcb/crtd/forschungsgruppen/crtd-forschungsgruppen/yun) study the cellular and molecular basis of regeneration of complex structures with the help of salamanders (like newts and axolotls) and these vertebrates exceptional regenerative abilities, which in contrast to humans, are capable of regenerating complex tissues, and even entire organs, to a remarkable extent. Therefore, they offer unique insights into what molecular mechanisms must be in place for achieving quasi-perfect regeneration. Research in the Yun group focuses on three main areas: describing cellular and molecular mechanisms driving regeneration (Mechanisms underlying the plasticity of the differentiated state), their connection with cellular aging (Role and regulation of senescence in regeneration), and the role that the immune system plays in regenerative context. The research in the Yun group combines advanced molecular biology methods with state-of-the-art microscopy. Most recently the group has established Salamander-Eci, a novel method that enables the three-dimensional visualization of salamander tissues for a more comprehensive understanding of regenerative processes. Dr. Yun received her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from MRC-Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Cambridge / Cambridge University, UK, and did her Postdoctoral Research at the Institute of Structural and Molecular Biology, University College London, UK; Dr. Yun also has a BSc in Biological Sciences from University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

On this weeks episode of The Beats, Kelly Kennedy has a captivating conversation with Dr. Carolyn Flannary. Carolyn was previously a successful orthodontist, but when two of her closest friends told her they are ready to leave this world because of chronic illness, she decided to close her orthodontist practice and go on an “all out” mission to find answers for them that no one else has been able to offer. In a period of 3 years attending over 24 medical conferences, Dr. Carolyn Flanary came to the realization that she should open a facility to provide access and relief to the people who cry themselves to sleep each night because no one can provide answers for their chronic illness. Thus Oxygenated Regenerative Therapies in San Antonio, Texas was born. Here her and her business partner Joy provide a myriad of therapeutic services such as; *Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (Low to Mid-Range) * SoftWave Therapy (Tissue Regenerative Technology) * IMAET (Advanced Stress Relief) – quantum biofeedback technology * BEMER (Pulsating Electro-Magnetic Frequencies for Microcirculation) * TruLight Full Spectrum InfraRed (photo-energetic therapy) * Ion Cleanse (Ionic Footbath for Detoxification) * Clear Mind (photo/sound therapy) neurofeedback * Bio-Modulation (pain reduction bioenergetic therapy) During this conversation, Carolyn shares with us some of the miracles and results that she has seen using these therapeutic devices. Earlier this month, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced a comprehensive policy framework for the development and oversight of regenerative medicine products. The framework spells out how the FDA intends to review new products and protect patient safety in this emerging area that FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb called “dynamic and complex” with “unique challenges.” We spoke to Michael Werner, executive director of the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine, about the framework, whether it provides the clarity industry sought, and what it will mean for patients hoping to see safe and effective regenerative therapies reach them as quickly as possible.
A number of clinical successes and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's granting of designations that provide accelerated pathways to experimental therapies speaks to the progress of research funded by the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine. We spoke to Kevin McCormack, senior director of public communications and patient advocate outreach for CIRM, about the growing pipeline of therapies, the changing regulatory environment, and whether the institute will have a future beyond its existing funding.
