Leave an Amazon Rating or Review for my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Check out the full episode: https://greatness.lnk.to/1662"My father would wake up in the morning, study the Bible, say a prayer, rub his knees and look up to God like, 'how am I going to feed these 10 people today?' Then he'd go. And he'd come back with dinner." - Marlon WayansMarlon Wayans grew up watching his father combine faith with relentless action. Every single morning started the same way: Bible study, prayer, then that moment of looking up at God before figuring out how to feed 10 kids that day. His mother taught him something equally powerful but different: how to find joy in poverty, how to stay vulnerable when disappointments could easily make you bitter, how to love hard even when life is brutal. These weren't abstract lessons. They were daily survival skills that shaped everything about how Marlon approaches his work now. When Hollywood tells him to wait, when networks say they're booked until 2026, he hears his father's voice: don't wait for anyone to tell you you're ready. That mindset led him to self-fund his own comedy specials, film them on his terms, then license them to HBO and Amazon while keeping ownership. He's the guy who works three extra hours with his acting coach after a 14-hour shooting day because he refuses to show up unprepared. He drops a new hour of standup material every year, writing it live on stage while audiences think they're just watching a show. Most people fixate on what their parents did wrong. Marlon studied what they did right. That shift, that choice to extract wisdom instead of resentment from his upbringing, unlocked something fierce in him. His father taught him God and grit belong together. His mother taught him that joy is a choice you make, not a circumstance you wait for. Now he lives by a simple truth: everything is God, every closed door is redirection, and a thousand new doors are already open if you stop staring at the one that shut.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. How to train your body through breathwork, cold exposure, and stillness to feel safe again. What it means to let fear move through you instead of running from your decisions. How feeling fully, without judgment, turns pain into permission for abundance. [11:40] Action: The Proof of What You Believe You Deserve Why aligned action is the universe's mirror of your self-worth. How most people overwork because they still believe more effort equals more value. What happens when you take one micro-abundance action from a place of peace. How true manifestation begins when doing and being finally align. [13:40] The 7-Day Abundance Loop Practice Why consistency rewires the subconscious faster than intensity. How writing your daily Beliefs, Thoughts, Feelings, and Actions reveals invisible patterns. What to pair with your practice to anchor safety. How community reflection accelerates your transformation through shared awareness. [15:30] You Are the Bridge Between Science and Spirit Why Emotional Epigenetics™ proves that faith and biology are one conversation. How your emotional safety literally changes gene expression in real time. What it means to live where your biology no longer argues with your reality. Join host Butch Thierry on this week's Alabama Saltwater Fishing Report as he returns to the mic with two powerhouse guests—Captain Bobby Abruscato of A-Team Fishing and Chris Vecsey from Sam's Bait and Tackle. Together, they deliver the latest inshore, nearshore, and offshore updates from across the Alabama Gulf Coast. Captain Bobby breaks down the hot bite in the Mobile-Tensaw Delta and tidal rivers, where clear water and cooling temps have speckled trout, white trout, and redfish feeding hard. He shares what's been working best around the bird schools, explains why drifting beats spot-locking when the fish are up high, and offers key insight into the latest trout stock assessments showing a strong, healthy fishery. Bobby also talks about conservation wins, cold-weather tactics, and why this is shaping up to be one of the best fall runs in years. Next, Chris checks in from Orange Beach with a thrilling report on nearshore tuna action. Blackfin tuna are thick just off Navarre, with 20–30 lb fish being caught from small boats and kayaks, and even a few giant Yellowfin tuna—some over 150 pounds—have shown up right off the beach. Chris shares expert advice for safely targeting these fish from a kayak, the signs to look for when tracking feeding schools, and the simple plug-and-popper setups getting it done. He also covers what's happening inshore, where redfish are aggressive, trout are still active on the flats, and pompano and bull reds are lighting up the beaches as water temps drop. Whether you're fishing from the rivers or chasing tuna off the Gulf beaches, this episode is loaded with practical tips, late-fall tactics, and the latest guide-tested patterns to help you stay dialed in on the Alabama coast. In this Friday Rant, I dive into the truth about moving forward—even when you're unmotivated, unclear, or deep in the messy middle. I've learned that progress doesn't come from having everything lined up perfectly; it comes from showing up and doing the next best thing in front of you. Whether you're building a business, raising a family, or just trying to stay on track, momentum starts with small actions, not massive plans. I share a trick I learned from my dad about how to stay present, manage your day without overwhelm, and find peace (and progress) in imperfection.Key Takeaways:- Perfection is a stall tactic. Big operators rarely “know it all”; they just keep moving.- Work the messy middle. Progress happens while things are unclear and imperfect.- Do the next best thing. One concrete action today > a flawless 6-month plan.- Manage today, not the week. Don't pre-stress; handle what's in front of you.- Momentum opens doors. Action → momentum → opportunities → clarity.

In this episode, I explore the paradox of Artificial Intelligence, not as a hero or a villain, but as a mirror. What's really rising or falling isn't AI itself—it's us, the humans holding the prompt. Together, GPT-5 and I unpack how this technology can awaken creativity or quietly erode it, depending on how consciously we engage with it. Make Sense? What you're about to hear is not just a conversation between man and machine. It's a collaboration between awareness and automation, a real-time experiment in creation itself. Because here's the question that keeps me up at night: What happens when the tools we built to extend human intelligence start to replace the act of thinking itself? This episode isn't about whether AI is good or bad. It's about whether we, as humans, will rise with it—or fall asleep beneath it. So, take a breath. Let's make sense… of the Rise and Fall of AI. I was reading my “Daily Reader” from John Maxwell on my Kindle app, and yesterday's lesson was about making failure your best friend. I love how easy he puts part of this. John mentions “When you are able to learn from any bad experience and thereby turn it into a good experience, you make a major transition in life. For years I've taught something that I think gives useful insight on the subject of change: People change when they… Hurt enough that they have to, Learn enough that they want to, and Receive enough that they are able to.” Thinking about these true statements got me thinking not only about myself in each of those three, but also the fact that others are there too. I want to focus on helping others to receive more encouragement to help them get through the first two parts. Another thought from John Maxwell, where he picked up this from Jim Rohn: “Don't let your learning lead to knowledge; let your learning lead to action.” Hey, don't get me wrong, knowledge is great - but what do we do with that knowledge? Those ideas? Those thoughts? Putting them into action is the key and when that action leads to us getting better, along with helping others to get better too, well that is a great place to be. I know I need to continue putting more action into my life and looking to make a difference in the lives of others. I found another clip that I wanted to share, but I'll save that for Monday. Spiritual Pathways for Environmental Restoration Guest Rev. Rachel Field, Program Manager, An Episcopal Path Spending time in nature, one sees God's creativity all around us, and so develops an appreciation for the divine intelligence behind the beauty, functionality and mystery of Nature. The Creation Story in the Book of Genesis tells of God creating the heavens, the earth, the fish, the birds, all the other creatures and, finally, man and woman. Children of the Cherokee Nation hear the story of Grandmother Spider, who, they are told, embodies the creative force of the universe, having woven the network that interconnects all living beings and symbolizes the importance of ecosystems, community and relationships. There is something to be learned from these and other creation stories. Reverend Rachel Field joins us to talk about our role in Creation Care. She is the Program Manager for An Episcopal Path to Creation Justice, an initiative equipping church communities to grow in knowledge and skills as they progress along the four-fold path: Prayer, Learning, Action, and Advocacy. Rachel explains these four pillars in detail and draws on diverse approaches for diverse contexts. Those walking an Episcopal Path commit to form and restore a loving, liberating, life-giving relationship with all of Creation, and they collaborate with other faith organizations. Rachel shares her deep wisdom and shines a light by framing our environmental degradation as a “spiritual crisis” and showing us the power of spiritually enlightened engagement. Rachel has more than 15 years of experience leading creation-centered retreats in the Episcopal Church. She is also Owner/Director of Heartberry Hollow Farm & Forest, which is a regenerative farm and retreat center in central Vermont. She holds a Masters of Divinity from Yale Divinity School and a certificate in Contemplative Leadership from the Shalem Institute. She is a member of the Clergy at Parish of St. Mary in Northfield, VT. The interview concludes by analyzing the anticlimactic Trump-Xi meeting, attributing the lack of confrontation to Xi Jinping's significantly weakened position due to China's shattered economy and internal power struggles. 1911 NIGERIA
