Senator Marsha Blackburn says people want to know how Buttigieg spends his time and they want trains to stay on the rails. People are upset. There doesn't seem to any sense of urgency in finding out why derailments happen and why they continue. We have an IRS that thinks the people are the villains, a Transportation Sec. Who doesn't understand transportation, and a Homeland Security Secretary who has created a wide open border. And we know Fauci lied, that over a million Americans died, without retribution. Tom Fitton says the Justice Dept. refused to enforce clean voter rolls so Judicial Watch stepped in and forced LA County to remove 1.2 million names of ineligible voters. The Marxists have been undermining American power for decades crippling domestic energy production, draining strategic petroleum reserves. The Biden Regime's open borders could be the end of the America as a sovereign nation. Biden has been rumored to be on the take for 40 years and the DOJ isn't interested and protects him. Loblaw Companies, the country's biggest grocery chain, reported its finances for 2022 on Thursday. In a year when Canadians felt the squeeze from skyrocketing grocery bills increased by inflation, the retailer posted net earnings of $2.3 billion dollars. Also in 2022, Loblaw spent $1.3-billion on something called stock buybacks, which pulls shares off the market and tends to pump up the prices of those still held by investors and executives. Loblaw isn't alone in carrying out billion-dollar share buybacks. Today, CBC business journalist Pete Evans returns to explain why so many buybacks are happening, and why critics say they're happening at the expense of Canadian workers, customers and productivity. Steps to Landing Corporate ClientsCracking into large corporations can feel like an impossible task for entrepreneurs. However, with a little persistence and know-how, it can be done. Here are four steps to getting your foot in the door of a big company:1. Do your research. Make sure you understand the company's mission and values, as well as their specific needs. This will help you tailor your pitch and give you a better chance of impressing the right people.2. Network, network, network. Get connected with as many people as possible who work at the company or know someone who does. The more connections you have, the greater your chances of getting your foot in the door.3. Be persistent. Big companies receive hundreds, if not thousands, of pitches every day. Don't take no for an answer; keep trying until you get a yes.4. Follow up. In Non-Compliant Podcast Episode 45, Host Jay Edelson, nationally recognized plaintiff's attorney and founder of Edelson PC, and Guest Jonathan Pollard, a high stakes competition lawyer and founder of Pollard PLLC, discuss Elon Musk's tweet about building an in-house legal team of “hard-core streetfighters".Jay and Jonathan start the show by giving their initial reactions to Musk's tweet, discussing how the hiring paradigm that large corporations such as Tesla use make it difficult, if not impossible, for Musk to assemble the legal team he wants (3:15). Pollard explains that “elite” Big Law firms create risk-adverse, “paint-by-numbers” players. Later in the show, Jay and Jonathan discuss in-house positions more generally (10:45). The discussion then turns to possible solutions not only for the challenge Musk faces in assembling his legal team, but also to the challenges corporate in-house teams face more generally (16:45). Jay suggests Musk incentivize firms on the project by offering money for big wins rather than an hourly bill rate to address issues of motivation and passion for the work. Jonathan highlights the need for companies to seek out small firms that are subject-matter experts, rather than using huge firms who may perform poorly in the areas where they lack expertise. After this, Jay and Jonathan shift to their personal experiences with “streetfighter” lawyers (23:21), the dynamic of audacity and success, and Musk's crusade against Twitter's plague of fake accounts (32:35). Finally, Jay asks Jonathan what advice he might give law students considering various career paths, to which Jonathan answers: do your due diligence to avoid a miserable experience, know that you can be successful beyond the “triangle” of Big Law, Big Corporate, and Big Government, and seek out firms that care about mentorship (39:11). If you've ever struggled with confidence or a lack thereof, today's episode with my new friend Jess is for you. Which platforms will take on crypto next?Binance continues to come under regulatory scrutiny with the Netherlands as the latest country to issue a warning to the company. Even after CEO Brian Brooks left the company citing “differences in strategic direction,” Binance founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao claims to continue to search for regulatory-minded people to join the company's ranks.Regulatory focus continues in the U.S. as well, with members of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodity Futures Trading Commission and Congress hosting opposing opinions on how to regulate crypto. All popular liberal movements, whether labour welfare, or civil rights, or feminism, began from the bottom and forced the Big Politics and Big Corporate to compromise, providing new dimensions to freedoms. Wokism in America appears to be a top down movement benefiting Big Corporates and Big Politics, enabling to come down heavily on the basic freedoms. Sankrant Sanu and Vibhuti Jha discuss the raging issue.

We open the show with a couple of bottles of wine, a few cheeses, salami and bread as any great construction podcast should start. We don’t sugarcoat it…Covid is killing small business or should we say selective lockdown is killing small business. The panel today gets right into the motives behind the Canadian government and how they are handling the pandemic, lockdowns, and small business owners or should we say small business survivors. What is the real reason for this 2nd lockdown? The government is saying to prevent a burden on the health care system. When you actually look at the actual real health numbers, which by the way Alberta has been the only province to share this info, the actual number is 26 people of 297,000 people in Alberta with Covid have died, less than 1 percent and by the way that healthy person is over 70 years old. All of these cases we keep hearing about and the justification of the lockdown and restrictions are numbers from 99% of Covid mixed with underlining issues. Our government should be sharing all of the information, not just the information that will benefit big corporate. The medical industry is now controlling the economy, is that right? Is that fair? There are more deaths from driving than Covid, are we going to lockdown driving? More deaths in skiing than Covid, are we going to lockdown skiing? We discuss the recent Adamson’s police and government fiasco and why and what did he really do wrong? We discuss the Canadian Charter of Rights, The Canadian Bill of Rights and what our small business is allowed to do. The conversation gets warmed up and we don’t hold back. Are restaurants really the cause of the spread of Covid? They are not and yet the government is forcing these small businesses to close and die.Dave expresses a 3rd lockdown will happen in early January, as soon as this one is done, the 3rd one will begin and there will also be a 4th lockdown. Are these selective lockdowns really doing anything? We all get quiet as Dave shares his thoughts. We discuss the cause and effects of Covid on families, domestic issues, divorces and the overall mental strain on the communities for years to come after Covid. Thanks to Dave and Mark for being on the show and sharing so much about the pandemic and small business and the construction industry.Find Jim @carukhallconstruction www.carukhall.com info@carukhall.com 416 546-8602. The second season of The Boys (2020) has been making waves in the past few weeks with its wittily brash cocktail of satire, violence and pacey plotting. But to what extent can truly subversive anti-corporate messaging spring from a corporation like Amazon? Can we see through Amazon's generically pleasing house style to a genuinely consciousness-raising original? And is having your cake and eating it necessarily a bad thing?
In the first podcast of this series, David Rae talks to Matt Smith, founder and CEO of SteelEye. We follow Matt's journey from a successful career spanning over 20 years in large corporates, to taking a huge leap and starting his own compliance technology and data analytics firm.
Ben Henk, Owner of Lumber One KC, on leaving the success of a big corporate job to buy a business and build a well-rounded life.

DC’s Mike James and Mollie Ames discuss: Cleveland's weather has been typically bad almost all throughout this pandemic, however, it might be the first time ever that's been literally a good thing. Oh, and we cover the entirety of the Browns 2020 Draft, all the positives (and negatives) about the team and our hopes for a winner. (Part 1 of 3 of the Podcast only content) Say what you want to say, feel what you want to feel, believe what you want to believe, watching the NFL Draft even in a world devoid of sports is still a hard sell when it comes to real entertainment value. The NFL is a copycat league in all areas except equality, and this year in the Draft one player more so than any other defines this sad fact of the game. Trying to eat healthy in a pandemic is proving more and more difficult, and something a fat man in Cleveland should never have happen has happened. (Part 2 of 3 of the Podcast only content, begins around the 1:22:00 mark) Lachlan MacKinnon’s Let Me Tell You A Story ‘Best Of Edition’: “The Alias” (begins around the 1:50:00 mark) The new Browns slogan might be the same as a bad acronym but it is still smarter than the last Browns slogan. Ask An Expert – Part 4: A conversation with Peter Pattakos of Pattakos Law Firm LLC and the creator and main contributor to the Cleveland Frowns blog, discussing the closure of the Plain Dealer and what it really means for the city and its news coverage, and what people need to know if they're forced back to work during this pandemic before its safe to do so. ~Special Defend Cleveland Feature~ Our recommended (and one anti-recommended) businesses of the week, and Mollie’s Weekly Report(s): Summit Racing has a change of heart, or rather the decision to open up wasn't an option, and some of the things that will end up having to change once the pandemic is over. (Part 3 of 3 of the Podcast only content, begins around the 2:50:00 mark) We only talk about the 2020 NFL Draft enough to talk about how we are not going to talk about the 2020 NFL Draft. Go Browns. A film that's even more sad than Old Yeller, that is if you're a fan of independent music. More of Mollie’s Weekly Reports, terrestrial edition! – The Insane Clown Posse demonstrate more concern for humans than our President, we might not have baseball right now but there's still a really great way to hear Tom Hamilton, and not all of the outer-rim police forces out there lack a sense of humor. When it comes to marketing, there's an awful lot of BS out there. There's a huge gulf between 'practical marketing' and what's taught in business schools. Thinking about the Boston Matrix or Porter's Five Forces still leaves me with a glazed over expression. My podcast guest today is at war with marketing complexity. Roger Edwards has been helping people with their marketing for over 25 years. He started out in Big Corporate and eventually worked his way up to Marketing Director, heading up some of the biggest brands in UK financial services. In 2013, Roger decided to leave Big Corporate and set up his own business to help smaller companies to use digital marketing to grow their businesses. Right now, Roger is putting the finishing touches to his first book, and in this conversation, we discover why he's so passionate about simplicity in marketing. If you switch off the second you hear marketing buzzwords or ridiculously high-level strategy with no grounding in reality, then this episode is for you. Here's Roger Edwards, in season two, episode two of the Financial Planner Marketing Playbook.
On this episode we're pulling back the curtain and sharing how the concept of sponsorship is showing up in our company. I'm sharing the reasons why so many people said no to me in the early days of my business and the only way that I was able to land big corporate clients is by leveraging relationships. A lot of people hate the word networking, and feel uncomfortable using the word sponsorship. It often brings up feelings of being inauthentic. The truth is, it's actually a lot of fun and one of the easiest ways to accelerate women and people with diverse backgrounds into leadership positions. A recent big corporate writedown in the oil and gas sector was a big deal. But in this week's Drilling Deep, host John Kingston discusses that maybe it isn't quite as big a deal as some people were making it out to be. And then we'll shift gears and talk about one aspect of the Celadon bankruptcy that could ripple across a significant part of the sector: the used truck market. Chris Visser is an expert in that area and he will join us to offer his perspectives on how used truck markets might react when thousands of vehicles are suddenly made available from one seller. Episode 114. Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Partner at Boston-based wealth management company, Baystate Financial. Chris McIntosh and Michael Yoken's Golden Hour. Big Boston Business! Major shouts to Chris McIntosh and Michael Yoken of Boston-based financial management company, Baystate Financial for coming up onto the podcast. The bridge between a BIG Corporate world and a very-non corporate world! Although Mike and Chris are different than most success stories we've heard up on the show, they are hustlers! Chris is Chief Marketing Officer for Baystate, and got his start in big business in his early-twenties when he started the Green Book (an environmental-based Yellow Pages). He then went onto become head publicist for the Boston Business Journal, and now operates all of the marketing for Baystate. Mike is one of the founding partners at Baystate from back in 90's and had similar entrepreneurial aspirations as Chris! Because of compliance standards, Chris and Mike can't dip too much into their day to day and their business, but they dropped gems about how they've become successful. These men are BIG financially successful, so we figured it could be beneficial to learn how they've risen in the corporate ladder, and how a lot of young grinders out there can apply some of the same habits they found useful in their rise. Glad we could learn from these guys! They discussed: - How to become an asset in the corporate workplace, and how to differentiate yourself from your co-workers - The importance of "out-working" everyone and how most outliers within companies are wildly competitive - What people in the early 20's should do to begin to regulate their personal finances (Save, Invest... etc.) ------- They also discussed their entrepreneurial beginnings, and as corporate heads what still excites them about big business. Chris mentioned that although the corporate workplace can be stifling as an entrepreneur, he still feeds off the "controlled chaos", loved this bit. On this episode of Fault Lines, hosts Garland Nixon and Lee Stranahan discuss how the current political order tends to neglect the desires and concerns of common working people in favor of big-money individuals/organizations. How are both Brexit and corporate America's close relationship with the US Government good examples of this tendency?Guests:Medea Benjamin - Co-Founder of Code Pink | Power Cut Off at the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington DCDr. Lakisha Jenkins - Traditional Naturopath, Registered Herbalist & Founding President of the California Cannabis Industry Association | Hallucinogenic Mushroom Referendum in Colorado & Benefits of CBDIan Shilling - Geopolitical Analyst, Researcher & Blogger | UK Politics, The European Union & "The Brexit Party"Mark Frost - Economist and Professor | Recent Market Fluctuations, A Trade War with China & Uber's Upcoming IPOAli Alexander - Political Consultant and Editorial Director of Culttture.com | Online Censorship & Corporate America's Close Relationship with the Federal GovernmentYesterday, power was cut off at the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington DC as the Trump administration continues to support Juan Guaidó in his efforts to replace Nicolás Maduro as the President of Venezuela. Medea Benjamin, Co-Founder of Code Pink, was at the Embassy last night, and she joins today's show to talk about the situation at the Embassy, the latest details surrounding political turmoil in Venezuela, and National Security Advisor John Bolton's role in dictating US actions in Venezuela.A referendum in Denver, Colorado to decriminalize psilocybin, the psychoactive substance in hallucinogenic mushrooms, has narrowly passed as ongoing debates about the potential benefits/dangers of drugs and mind-altering substances continue to evolve. Dr. Lakisha Jenkins returns to the program to discuss the result of this referendum, herbalism, some benefits of CBD, and why more people are becoming open to alternative health options. "The Brexit Party" was just founded earlier this year and already appears to be as popular as the other major parties in the United Kingdom for its critical stance towards the European Union and establishment politics in the UK. Geopolitical Analyst and Blogger Ian Shilling joins Garland and Lee to talk about the popularity of "The Brexit Party," why people who supported Brexit feel disenfranchised, and expectations for the upcoming European Union elections. The financial markets have been fluctuating a great deal in recent days, and uncertain trade/tariff policies between the US and China are at least partially responsible. Economist and Professor Mark Frost joins the program for a conversation about trade relations between the US and China, the economic concerns surrounding Brexit, and expectations for Uber's upcoming IPO. Online censorship and the silencing of voices on social media has been on the rise, and this trend has further exposed the close relationship between certain 'Big Tech' firms in Silicon Valley and the Federal Government. Political Consultant Ali Alexander returns to the show to discuss the nature of online censorship, how large corporations cozy up to the Federal Government, and the possibility of breaking up some of these massive companies.

The audio you're about to hear was recorded yesterday at Sydney University O Week. While the students of LifeChoice Sydney engaged in legal and peaceful dialogue with people both for and against abortion, pro-abortion-choice protestors abused and insulted them. Rebecca Gosper has a degree in human science and is the director of Life Choice Australia, an activist group in five different Australian University campuses aiming to positively influence culture for the sanctity of life. She joined me to discuss the science, data and logic these "students" are willfully ignorant of. * * * * * * * ALL MY VIDEOS have been demonitised by YouTube. Jennifer's story is controversial and confronting, as well as a powerful story of beauty rising like a phoenix from the ashes of unspeakable destruction. It's an example of the Good News that Jesus came to preach when He quoted from Isaiah 61 and said He came to give those who mourn, beauty in exchange for their ashes. "Something beautiful, something good All my confusion He understood All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife But he made something beautiful of my life." Jennifer Christie's story, "Raped While on a Business Trip – My Husband and I Chose Life!" ( http://savethe1.blogspot.com/2014/12/raped-while-on-business-trip-my-husband.html ) went viral after it was published on the blog, SaveThe1.com, in Live Action, Lifenews and Lifesitenews, along with various other publications, with over 1 million shares to Facebook. It's been translated into many other languages and has appeared across the globe. Readers were touched by her fierce protection of the life of her innocent son, as well as her husband's loving response upon learning she was pregnant from the brutal rape. She wrote a follow-up story, "Raped, Married and Pregnant: When People Said We Shouldn't Have You, We Loved You Louder" ( http://savethe1.blogspot.com/2016/04/raped-married-and-pregnant-when-people.html ), and her husband Jeff also wrote out their story from his own perspective, "My Wife and I Both Saw This Baby As Something Beautiful Coming From Such Evil" ( http://savethe1.blogspot.com/2016/05/my-wife-and-i-both-saw-this-baby-as.html ). The latest update of her story — with the rapist-murderer having been killed is, "My Son Was Never a 'Rapist's Baby' or 'Product of Rape' – He's My Child" ( http://savethe1.blogspot.com/2017/07/my-son-was-never-rapists-baby-or.html ). ### PLEASE be an important part of healing the ongoing injustice suffered by this loving family by donating whatever you can here: https://www.gofundme.com/h3b4h Many small donations can make a BIG difference!
