For the ego, as Bob Dylan sang, everything is broken at every fractal level. We are here to heal what is broken by releasing seemingly inescapable patterns of suffering that have become frozen in time. Because the ego is only the lowest level of a four-tiered consciousness that has become short-circuited, it is possible to heal. Shunya offers an empirical experiment to shift one's paradigm to be free, to see within one's own consciousness the ego's unreality, and to keep the soul awakened by not entertaining egoic thoughts and instead remaining turned towards the inner light. It will require recognizing that suffering is a blessing of motivation to return home, to remain vulnerable long enough to receive the grace necessary to alchemically transform one's pain into wisdom. This emptying out and surrender are the only true fulfillment in life and our divine right to leap beyond the ego's event horizon to the Absolute Self.

Have Compassion on Your Husband's Desire This is a tender topic. And for some of you, even reading this headline might make your chest tighten. Because desire can feel complicated. Painful. Loaded. Or honestly… just exhausting. And yet, this conversation matters—not to shame you, not to pressure you, but to invite you into compassion. Not obligation. Not fear. Not duty-driven compliance. Compassion rooted in God's design for marriage. The Enemy Thrives on Distraction One of the enemy's most effective strategies in marriage is not always obvious sin. It's distraction. Distance. Avoidance. Silence. When sexual intimacy is broken in a marriage—when it's infrequent, half-hearted, or consistently avoided—it quietly becomes a distraction for both spouses. Especially your husband. Not because he's weak. Not because he's demanding. But because sexual intimacy is not a small issue in his life—it is deeply connected to how God designed him. When that connection is missing, it costs him far more than you may realize. Your Husband's Desire Is Not Separate From Who He Is Your husband's sexual desire is not something he can simply turn off. It is woven into his physical design, his emotional wiring, and his sense of being wanted and chosen. When that desire is consistently rejected, it creates real pain—often silent pain. Pain that takes up mental space, affects focus, and drains confidence and steadiness. Just as hunger dominates attention when the body is not nourished, deprivation in intimacy dominates attention when a husband does not know if—or when—connection will happen again. God Did Not Design Sex to Be Optional in Marriage Scripture is clear. "Do not deprive each other." (1 Corinthians 7:5) This is not a suggestion. It is not conditional on feelings. It is not shaped by cultural norms. God designed sexual intimacy to be part of the covenant of marriage—for unity, protection, and connection. This does not mean ignoring trauma. This does not mean tolerating coercion or manipulation. This does not mean silencing wisdom or boundaries. But it does mean that long-term deprivation is outside God's design—and He does not give commands without also offering grace and a path toward healing. If Intimacy Feels Difficult, There Is a Reason If moving toward intimacy feels heavy, forced, or emotionally overwhelming, there is almost always something beneath the surface. Shame about your body. Fear of being used. Past sexual pain or trauma. Resentment that has not healed. Pressure that replaced joy. Messages that taught you sex was dangerous, dirty, or merely a duty. These blocks are real and they deserve attention. But they do not get the final word. God is not asking you to ignore your story—He is inviting you to bring it into the light where healing is possible. Intimacy Was Designed to Be Good God designed marital intimacy to be: Naked and unashamed Enjoyed, not endured Protective, not destructive A celebration of union Scripture celebrates this openly, without embarrassment. Your husband was designed to enjoy the female form, and God gave him exactly one holy place to do that: within marriage. When that place becomes closed off, the cost is deeper than most couples realize. Start Before You Feel Ready Waiting until everything feels healed often means waiting indefinitely. Freedom usually follows obedience—not the other way around. Consistency matters more than perfection. Even choosing regular, predictable intimacy—without everything feeling "fixed"—can begin to rebuild safety, quiet anxiety, and soften resistance. When intimacy is rare, it becomes a mountain. When it is steady, it becomes normal. When it is generous, it becomes life-giving. Your Marriage Was Meant to Be Missional Marriage was never designed to exist only for comfort. It was designed to strengthen both spouses for the work God has called them to do. Healthy intimacy does not distract from God's purposes—it supports them. But when intimacy is withheld, it often becomes the very distraction Scripture warns against. Your compassion has power. It can steady your husband. It can protect your marriage. It can remove a burden he may be carrying quietly. Final Encouragement If this stirred something in you—conviction, grief, resistance, or even hope—don't rush past it. That stirring matters. God does not expose something in your heart to shame you. He does it to heal you. You are not being asked to become someone else overnight. You are being invited to take one faithful step—today—toward compassion, obedience, and freedom. There is grace for the journey. There is wisdom for the next step. And there is hope—more than you may be able to see right now. You are not alone. And God is not finished here.   Blessings, The Delight Your Marriage Team PS - If you want help walking through this with wisdom and care, we would love to come alongside you. Book a free Clarity Call at delightyourmarriage.com/cc. PPS - Here is a quote from a recent graduate: "I was irritable and depressed all the time.  I kept thinking something was wrong with me because I couldn't stop wanting sex.  I knew my wife hated it and thought if I was a better man I could stop wanting it and live without it...[I learned] that God designed me to want sex and I was not made wrong.  I also learned I am not alone.  Many men have struggled like I have and have wives like mine. The biggest celebrations I can remember are her coming to me!  To cuddle, to sit with me, to want to be with me, to take me out. She told our daughters to move because she wanted to sit by me during movie night.  She has taken steps towards intimacy with me on her own without me pressuring her."

Why Money, Power, and Women Didn't Fix the Pain with Michael Lynch | The Hopeaholics PodcastIn this raw and powerful episode of the Hopeaholics Podcast, Michael Lynch sits down to share an unfiltered story of survival, addiction, crime, success, and redemption. From growing up in foster care and running the streets, to building a viral underground fight empire funded by prison hustles, Michael opens up about the rise that came with money, fame, and excess—and the quiet collapse that followed through alcoholism, isolation, and the brink of suicide. He speaks candidly about manipulation, power, broken relationships, and how alcohol nearly destroyed everything drugs never could. The conversation takes a dramatic turn as Michael recounts being raided just days after deciding to end his life, leading to jail, a fight for freedom, and an unexpected introduction to recovery that ultimately saved him. This episode dives deep into the psychology of addiction, the illusion of success, prison life, spiritual awakening, and what real transformation looks like after hitting bottom. https://wels2.blob.core.windows.net/daily-devotions/20260130dev.mp3 Listen to Devotion I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one. 1 John 2:14 Renewed by the Light Before you go camping in the woods, be sure to check that your flashlights all work properly and the batteries are all new. You will be far away from the artificial lights illuminating the cities and suburbs. Many thick trees can block the natural light of the stars. Unforeseen clouds and rain might also douse the light of a campfire. Before facing a new day in this dark world, be sure to check that your spirit is recharged with the truth and grace of Jesus. We are still living far away from heaven's glorious light. The things of this world that are supposed to bring us happiness are merely artificial lights that quickly burn out. Unexpected temptations threaten to plunge us into sinful decisions and right back into the darkness of fear and shame. We constantly need to recharge the lights of Jesus' truth and love in our hearts. John tells us how: “I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.” The evil one still accuses, deceives, and seeks to destroy faith. Yet John dares to speak in the past tense: “You have overcome the evil one.” This victory is not based on present feelings or visible success, but on Jesus' finished work. By his cross and resurrection, Jesus has already defeated Satan. Faith clings to that victory. In ourselves, we are weak. Our faith wavers, our resolve collapses, and our obedience is imperfect. But in Jesus, we are strong. Those who live in the word of God will have the word of God living in them. It will renew your faith in Jesus’ victory. It will continually rekindle the joy in your heart that Jesus has overcome the darkness of evil for you. Keep living in the word of God, and the word of God will live in you, reminding you daily that in Jesus, you are strong. Prayer: Jesus, Light of the world, shine in my heart. Forgive my sins and fill me with your love so that I may walk in your ways and love my neighbor as you have loved me. Amen. Daily Devotions is brought to you by WELS. Fear-based learning can intensify pain in people with IBD even when inflammation is no longer active, showing that emotional processing plays a major role in chronic symptoms IBD patients in remission reported significantly higher pain intensity and unpleasantness compared to healthy individuals, despite experiencing the exact same heat stimulus The brain can hold onto pain memories through a process called fear conditioning, which teaches the nervous system to expect discomfort even without a current physical trigger People with IBD often feel isolated and emotionally overwhelmed due to unpredictable flare-ups, brain fog, shame, and the invisible nature of their pain Therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy offer a promising path to reduce pain by addressing the brain's learned fear responses

WARNING: This episode contains conversations about suicide and suicide ideation and may not be suitable for all listeners/viewers. How do you experience Jesus fully after coming to Christ? How can you continue to experience Him when life is full of pain and difficulties?Naeem Fazal has an incredibly powerful testimony of how he first encountered Christ. Born into a Muslim family, Naeem experienced a supernatural experience as a young adult that forever changed the trajectory of his life. The cost was significant as he grew to know Jesus more intimately—eventually becoming a pastor—and faced being disowned by his loved ones. Later, he walked through his father's attempted suicide and the sudden loss of his brother-in-law, moments that ultimately allowed him to show his family how they, too, could encounter Jesus in a personal and transformative way. In his bookTomorrow Needs You: Seeing Beauty When You Feel Hopeless, he explores how fear can be our greatest enemy and how life with Jesus leads us into a new way of living—not from fear, but from love.In this episode, Davey and Naeem talk about the supernatural and spiritual warfare, the differences between the Western and Eastern Christian experience, and how to navigate the estrangement that can arise when you choose to follow Christ. If you've ever longed for a deeper connection with Jesus in the midst of hardship, this conversation will encourage you that—even in your wrestlings—you can find the intimacy with Him that your heart desires. MORNING, MAMA | Heal From the Past, Parent with Purpose, and Live Out Your Calling - Mental Health, Biblical Parenting, Chris

Do you ever find yourself thinking, “I should be farther along by now”? Or wondering why God seems to be answering everyone else's prayers… but not yours? Comparison is sneaky. It doesn't always look like jealousy — sometimes it looks like discouragement, frustration, or feeling stuck in the season you're in. And before we know it, it starts stealing the joy God wants us to have. In today's episode, I'm kicking off a new series on the sneaky things that steal our joy — and we're starting with comparison. We're talking about three lies comparison whispers to us: • I should be farther along by now • Why hasn't God answered my prayers? • Why am I still here? Your story is not late. Your prayers are not ignored. And your season is not wasted. God is weaving something in your life — even when you can't see it yet. love, Brittany    Ready to become a peaceful wife and Mama? How do you stay active when pain keeps getting in the way? If your fitness goals get off track because of pain, you're not alone — and even better, you're not out of options. Pushing through pain, ignoring warning signs, or waiting to "get better first" often leads to setbacks, frustration, and giving up altogether. Most of us aren't lacking motivation; we're missing a clear plan for what to do before surgery becomes the only option. In this episode, VSI physiatrist and Director of Regenerative Medicine Dr. Niteesh Bharara and VSI physical therapist Greg Morris deliver a practical, hopeful reality check. Together, they walk through the non-operative path that's often missing from traditional care — what exists between "just wait" and surgery — showing how physical therapy and natural healing work together to address the root cause of pain, support real tissue healing, and help people return to training without the extensive recovery that often comes with surgery. This episode is for you if: You have fitness goals, but pain keeps interrupting your progress You've been told to "just wait" or "push through it" You want real, non-surgical options to move forward If pain has left you feeling stuck or unsure of what to do next, this episode shows there is another path forward: one that helps you keep moving, training, and doing the activities you love.

Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light. 1 John 2:8-10 Walking in the Light Anyone who has spent too long cooped up in one place knows what cabin fever feels like. At first, it’s comfortable, safe, familiar, and predictable. But slowly, irritation creeps in. Small things start to bother us. Our patience shortens. Our perspective narrows. The walls begin to feel closer. What once felt like shelter starts to feel like confinement. Spiritually, cabin fever can happen, too. When people remain inward-focused and demonstrate by their attitudes and actions that they love themselves more than others, darkness closes in. Our hearts become disconnected from loving relationships with God and with others. That is what the apostle John addresses in our Bible reading when he says, “Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness.” The best way to overcome cabin fever is to step out of your place of confinement, breathe in the fresh air again, and, best of all, go where the sun is shining. John reminds us that the true light is already shining. The Son of God, Jesus Christ, continues to shine the light of God’s mercy and forgiveness into our darkened hearts. The good news that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead in victory, enlightens our hearts to believe that God's love for us will overcome the darkness of evil. In the end, spiritual cabin fever fades when we remember that life in Christ was never meant to be lived in isolation or fear. His love replaces our impatience with peace. His Word and promise of life with him forever, replaces our weariness with renewed purpose—to love one another as Christ loved us. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light. Where Christ-like love is practiced, the darkness lifts, the cabin fever fades, and life opens up again. Prayer: Gracious Savior, you are the true Light shining in the darkness. Drive hatred and bitterness from my heart. Fill me with your mercy so that my life reflects your love to others. Amen. Daily Devotions is brought to you by WELS. Returning home in 2008, he was medically discharged due to severe hearing loss, but the invisible wounds of war—including a profound battle with PTSD—led to struggles with drugs, alcohol, and two suicide attempts between 2009 and 2013. Seeking recovery, Kevin completed a six-month program and relocated to North Carolina for a fresh start

If you struggle with sleep, pain, or anxiety, you've probably tried many medications and sleeping pills only to end up frustrated by side effects, poor results, and thinking that you're treating symptoms instead of actually feeling better. That's why I'm excited to welcome back Joe Sheehey, founder of Cured Nutrition and a former aerospace engineer who left his corporate career at Lockheed Martin to improve the lives of millions of people. Joe's path to entrepreneurship was influenced by his own mental health battles, a life-saving turning point in college, and a growing conviction that there has to be a better, more holistic approach to healing than the medications most doctors prescribe. Joe breaks down what cannabinoids like CBD, CBN, and low-dose THC actually do in the body and why the proper dosage is the difference between improving versus feeling anxious and turned off. We talk about how the stigma that clouds people's minds about the health benefits from cannabis keeps people from exploring options that could genuinely help them, and why responsible, non-intoxicating products are creating an alternative path for millions of people. And make sure you listen until the very end, because Joe explains why the government has become a major threat to the full-spectrum hemp industry, why responsible brands are being swept up in unregulated high-dose products, and what Joe is doing to protect access through a new advocacy effort to save the industry. If you're cannabis curious or simply looking for a better way to support your physical health, mental health and optimize your sleep, this episode will be an eye-opener and hopefully give you the confidence to try it for yourself. Pain and inflammatory factory2. Master inflammation on-switch3. Inflammation megaphone 4. Backup inflammatory alarm system Many inflammatory treatments do not address all four pathways. Ibuprofen is great at turning the pain and inflammation switch off, and does so very quickly. Unfortunately, this pathway protects the stomach and kidneys, so ibuprofen can cause stomach ulcers and kidney issues. It also doesn't address the other inflammatory pathways, which is why people often have to take it repeatedly. Tylenol works in the brain, affecting the central nervous system, but does not relieve any inflammation. Similar to ibuprofen, aspirin works on the first inflammatory pathway, which can also affect your stomach.Turmeric affects 3 out of the 4 inflammatory pathways! A double-blind randomized controlled study found that taking 1500 mg of turmeric with black pepper produced results comparable to ibuprofen without the side effects. Extra-virgin olive oil mimics ibuprofen's effects at the molecular level. Try adding it to your salad regularly! Ginger and omega-3 fatty acids also work to reduce inflammation. Boswellia targets the 5-LOX pathway, also known as the backup inflammatory alarm system. There are 5 primary causes that flip the inflammatory switches on, leading to pain and inflammation in the body. By addressing the root cause, you can correct the pain rather than simply managing it. The following 5 factors turn on all of the inflammatory switches:1. Insulin resistance2. Mitochondrial damage3. Chronic oxidative stress4. Leaky gut5. Chronic infectionsTo prevent inflammation and address the root cause, try the following:• Low-carb diet • Eliminate ultra-processed foods• Intermittent fasting/prolonged fasting• Magnesium, vitamin D3, zinc, omega-3sDr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Your chronic physical pain might be more than a medical diagnosis—it could be your body's only way of screaming for emotional rescue.Author and Shaman, Kerry Blaser Bouzaglo, joins Brigitte Cutshall to share her journey from a traumatic childhood and debilitating back pain to a life of "psychic gifts" and radical health, revealing how women can stop "popping pills" and start listening to the wisdom of their own biology.3 Key Takeaways:(1) The Body as a Mirror: Chronic physical ailments—specifically lower back and "womb" pain—often serve as physical manifestations of repressed emotional trauma, guilt, and shame.(2) The "Hills and Valleys" of Growth: Using a physics-based metaphor, Keri explains that the "valleys" of life provide the momentum and speed necessary to reach higher levels of wisdom; without the lows, we cannot reach the "Everest" of enlightenment.(3) Recalibrating the Nervous System: Healing is the process of shifting the body's resonance from fear-based frequencies to the frequencies of love and compassion (measured at $500text{ Hz}$ and above). Are you ready to stop ignoring what your body is trying to tell you? Nick Reiner announced at the 2018 Thankgiving gathering that he was “ungrateful” for the food and “not grateful” for the company of family and friends who he labeled as “freeloaders” in HIS home. In reality, the 13.5 million dollar Brentwood mansion and it's guesthouse that Reiner called home was paid for by the money his father famed director and actor Rob Reiner and his photographer wife Michelle Singer Reiner earned through their hard work and talents. This depiction of the Reiner's. family Thanksgiving in 2018 and published in the Washington Post tells us so much about how Nick Reiner viewed his family. Nick Reiner viewed his family as intruders on his lifestyle and his freedom and he had no gratitude for the luxury lifestyle they gifted him. What kept the Reiner's from going no-contact with their violent, drug addicted son. In this episode we discuss what the Reiner's could have done to protect themselves from the son they loved and feared.Get access to exclusive content & support the podcast by a Patron today! https://patreon.com/robertaglasstruecrimereport Throw a tip in the tip jar! https://buymeacoffee.com/robertaglassSupport Roberta by sending a donation via Venmo. https://venmo.com/robertaglassBecome a chanel member for custom Emojis, first looks and exclusive streams here: https://youtube.com/@robertaglass/joinShow Notes:Psychology Today "Is Your Son Dangerous?" - https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/when-your-adult-child-breaks-your-heart/201402/is-your-child-dangerousDr. Sharon L. Why This Episode Matters:This episode is a deep, grounded reminder that longevity in music doesn't come from chasing trends or algorithms. It comes from doing the work, living life, and letting experience shape the sound. Recorded in person at Nothing_Neue's Brooklyn studio, the conversation is reflective, practical, and quietly powerful.Who is Nothing_Neue:Nothing_Neue is a Brooklyn-based producer and artist whose work sits at the intersection of broken beat, soul, hip-hop, and experimental rhythm. Alongside his own artistic output, he works within the music tech world, giving him a rare dual perspective on creativity, industry pressure, and identity. What We Dive Into:* Why living life is essential to making meaningful music* The danger of chasing “radio friendly” or algorithm-approved sounds* Separating your artistic identity from your day job* Morning practice, discipline, and removing creative pressure* Letting unfinished ideas have value instead of forcing outcomes* Why support has to be active, not passive* Choosing an unconventional path and accepting unconventional resultsThree Key Takeaways:* You can't skip life and expect great art: Music gets better when it's informed by lived experience, not constant output.* Unconventional paths come with unconventional timelines: If you choose authenticity, you have to accept results that don't mirror anyone else's.* Practice removes pressure: When music has a guaranteed place in your day, everything else becomes bonus time. Before You Go:If you've been forcing productivity or measuring your work against someone else's success, take a step back. Build your walls, rooms, and houses before worrying about the final home. Progress isn't always loud.Chapters:0:00 – In-studio intro from Brooklyn0:57 – D'Angelo, life experience, and making music too close to the work2:46 – Why living life improves creativity4:04 – Gym vs bike analogy for creative process4:46 – Printing demos and listening away from the studio6:45 – Distance, objectivity, and breaking critical habits9:28 – Substances, creativity, and emotional avoidance11:42 – Pain, avoidance, and emotional honesty13:48 – Family, mortality, and confronting old wounds16:55 – Reprioritizing time, discipline, and energy19:57 – Discovering The Big Leap and the upper-limit problem24:38 – Self-imposed ceilings and early musical validation28:46 – Playlist Retreat, imposter syndrome, and belonging32:54 – Music as a communal experience36:12 – Letting ego step aside for collaboration40:41 – Translating inspiration into technique45:24 – How Nothing Neue practices instruments48:54 – Learning taste, preference, and musical language52:02 – Weed, reading, and rethinking time55:18 – Walls, Rooms, Houses, Homes creative framework58:53 – Morning practice and removing pressure1:03:18 – Weekday vs weekend creative routines1:05:24 – Recent releases and upcoming remixes1:06:27 – Favorite hardware and inspirations1:07:41 – Artists that changed his thinking1:07:57 – Best free tools and YouTube as education1:12:55 – Learning fundamentals vs chasing shortcuts1:17:44 – Rapid-fire questions1:18:33 – Loneliness in the music industry1:20:06 – Underrated “product” for creatives1:21:26 – Advice ignored and advice worth ignoring1:23:24 – Authenticity over chasing radio success1:24:40 – Undoing algorithms and passive consumption1:27:21 – Active support, community, and closing thoughts1:29:02 – Final recap and ProducerHead outroList of References from the Interview:Songs / Artists* D'Angelo* Lyric JonesBooks* Making Records by Phil RamoneHardware / Tools* SP-404* Alpha Juno* SeratoConnect with Nothing_Neue:* YouTube: @NothingNeue* Instagram: @nothing_neue* Spotify: Nothing_Neue* Apple Music: Nothing_NeueConnect with Toru:* Website: torubeat.com* Instagram: @torubeat* YouTube: @torubeat* Spotify: Toru* Apple Music: ToruCredits:This episode was co-produced, engineered and edited by Matthew Diaz. This article accompanies Part Two of our podcast conversation. In this episode, Larry, the Wisdom Keepers and I continue the exploration that opened last week, allowing the implications around pain, authority, and long-range decision-making to unfold more fully. The conversation is spacious, candid, and goes into places that are difficult to capture in writing alone. You can listen to Part Two of the podcast here:https://www.drivingtotherez.com/p/when-pain-wraps-your-timeline-secondPart Two: Authority, Scale, and Long-Range PerceptionOnce we stop treating discomfort as a verdict, a different question appears. Not How do I feel right now?But What actually is my long term purpose if it's not simply body comfort or pleasure? This is where the conversation deepens.Because the issue isn't pain itself. Pain is information. The issue is what happens when pain is given authority over time. How Timelines Quietly CollapseTimelines rarely collapse through dramatic failure. More often, they compress through a series of reasonable, well-justified choices that prioritize immediate relief. And sometimes by making one huge life changing decision that concentrates on body comfort instead of a broader awareness and information around the results. How do we know when we went for short term pleasure, over long term plans? The future becomes shorter. Options thin. Movement slows. Not because something went wrong, but because our future plans were never consulted. This is what timeline distortion looks like in real life. Not chaos, but a contraction between what we say our long term plans are, and our choice for short term pleasure. The Difference Between Sensitivity and AuthoritySensitivity is not the problem. Being a sensitive person is not the issue here. In fact, it's a strength. The problem arises when sensitivity is mistaken for leadership. When our discomfort and pain, or the pursuit of pleasure are allowed to lead us. Whether they are emotional, physical, mental or egoic relief or pleasure that is being sought. The body reacts to change, uncertainty, and unfamiliarity as potential threats. That reaction is honest. It is also incomplete. The body cannot see context. It cannot weigh the consequences across years. It cannot perceive trajectory. That is something it depends on you, the soul, to do for it.Yes, your Body depends on your Soul for context, for long term trajectory, for information and choice outside immediate comfort and pain. When bodily signals are obeyed rather than interpreted, authority quietly shifts from awareness to reaction. Being reactive is something we want to overcome because reactions always choose now over later. And being reactive never served us.Why Discomfort Often Appears at the ThresholdDiscomfort frequently arises at moments of expansion, not because something is wrong, but because something is unfamiliar.New environments, new roles, new responsibilities, and new ways of being all disrupt established patterns. The nervous system registers this disruption as stress, even when the direction itself is coherent. If discomfort is treated as a stop sign instead of a signal, growth stalls.Scale Changes EverythingSoul wisdom operates at scale. It considers not only sensation, but timing. Not only emotion, but consequence. Not only relief, but direction. Scale allows discomfort to be placed inside a larger frame, where it can be understood without being automatically obeyed. I am not saying here to invalidate your pain and discomfort, but to see it in the larger context of your long term plans and desires. When scale is restored, the future becomes clear and your plans take precedence.I will stop now and let you get onto Part Two of the podcast. I hope you enjoy our continued conversation this week, it certainly has been very expansive to record.IneliaThe discussion doesn't stop here - listen to the full podcast episode for unfiltered insights from Inelia and our panelists. In this episode, we reflect on the tender and often misunderstood topic of forgiveness, what it is, what it isn't, and why it's central to finding freedom in Christ. We talk honestly about how resentment and unforgiveness can quietly build in the heart, often as an attempt to protect ourselves from further pain. We also acknowledge how difficult forgiveness can be, what to do with the cry of our hearts when we have been wounded, and how to entrust it to God when we don't yet feel capable of forgiving. Friends, forgiveness does not strip us of our identity, it affirms who we are in Christ. Even in the deepest places of hurt, we find hope because of the loving presence of a God who never abandons us in our pain.   Heather's One Thing - Greatness of the Lord by Brooke Ligertwood Heather's Other One Thing - The Franciscan University Community  Sister Miriam's One Thing - Heather's Battle Cry Playlist Michelle's One Thing - Congratulations to Indiana University for winning the championship! How have I experienced shame about the wrongs I've endured or my own unforgiveness? How has this affected my health, wellbeing, or energy? How do I replay or obsess over the conflict I experienced?  How have I given into constant comparison in my unforgiveness? What major changes have occurred in my life because of the injustice I've experienced and how have they affected me? Has this experience led to a more negative worldview? How has my sense of self changed? Am I seeing myself as worthless?   Discussion Questions: How have you been sweeping things under the rug and calling it forgiveness? What deeper feelings lie beneath your resentment? Where in your life do you need to repent and take personal responsibility? Who has modeled repentance and forgiveness well in your life? How does your heart react to conflict and wrongdoing in relationships?   Quotes to Ponder: "Ultimately, we can really forgive people only because Christ rose from the dead; his Resurrection is the guarantee that God can cure every wrong and every hurt." (Fr. Jacques Philippe, Interior Freedom) Resentment attacks our vital forces and does us much harm. When someone has made us suffer, our tendency is to keep the memory of the wrong alive in our minds, like a "bill" we will produce in due time to demand settlement. Those accumulated bills end up poisoning our lives. It is wiser to cancel every debt, as the Gospel invites us to. In return, we will be forgiven everything, and our hearts will be set free, whereas nurturing resentment toward others closes us to the positive things they could contribute to us." (Fr. Jacques Philippe, Interior Freedom) Scripture for Lectio: "Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother who sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, not just seven times, but seventy-seven times!"" (Matthew 18:21-22)   Sponsor - Blessed is She: "Who do you say that I am?" Jesus didn't ask this because He was uncertain of His identity. He asked because we often are. The disciples had walked with Him. They had seen the miracles. They had heard the teaching. And still, when the question was asked, many hesitated. Because proximity to Jesus does not automatically mean intimacy.  So often, our understanding of God is shaped by what we've absorbed over time—what we were taught, what we experienced, what others modeled for us. And without noticing, we begin to believe stories that aren't true. That God is distant. That He is easily disappointed. That love must be earned. That holiness requires perfection. But Jesus does not leave us guessing. He tells us who He is: I am the Light of the World. I am the Bread of Life. I am the Good Shepherd. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life...
