How To Get Clients To INSTANTLY Like You and WANT To Work With You
Kill Your Darlings. It's an old writers mantra (credit: William Faulkner) which speaks to the fact that to make your magic real you need to delete everything from your creative project except for that which is absolutely astonishing. Masterwork is much more about what you leave out than put in.I'm truly super excited over the upcoming release of my new book The Robot and the Gardener: Being Fully Human in an Artificial Age (Penguin Random House). In this episode, Kevin and Alan scrutinise the belief that doing what you love should always feel effortless. They examine what happens when passion becomes responsibility and starts carrying expectations, deadlines, accountability, and measurable results. They also challenge the idea that meaningful work should always feel enjoyable, especially when long-term growth requires consistency, discipline, and sacrifice. They break down the difference between being experience-driven and results-driven, why turning a passion into sustainable income changes the stakes, and how responsibility can reshape your relationship with something you once did purely for enjoyment. You'll also hear why career alignment, personal development, skill building, and long-term success depend less on avoiding hard work and more on choosing work worth committing to. If your passion only works when nothing is required of it, that may be useful information._______________________NLU is more than a podcast. “Send Coach John a message”I found a totally amazing post from liminal (@Liminal1988) where this thought kicked the whole thing off: “Energy is the most attractive thing a person can have.” This got me thinking about some things when I reposted it: Coach John Daly (@coachtosuccess) “Another amazing reminder that helps me to see myself being a better person… great timing on this one! Yes, once again… the world needs more people that have “good” energy!” This was a fabulous reminder for me to keep working on ME and realizing that things will be better for me in my future - yes, even the tough moments will be a little better, since I kept working on improving myself! Same goes for you too my friends! Here is the post for you to have as well: “Energy is the most attractive thing a person can have. The way someone walks into a room and makes it feel different. The way their curiosity pulls you in and their enthusiasm reminds you that life is worth being excited about. And the way they make people feel seen, appreciated and inspired. That kind of energy is magnetic. People are drawn towards energy that feels expansive because energy is contagious. One negative person can drain an entire room. But one genuinely energized person can lift it too. Truth is: your energy introduces you long before you speak a single word. This is why your presence can become a superpower. And the energy you project into the world is simply a mirror of the work you have done within yourself.” ~ @SimonAlexanderO Keep working on yourself my friends. Being our best is not by chance. It is our habits that build us up or they help keep us down. The world needs more people taking this to heart and look to encourage others to do the same. Thanks for listening. If your message isn't landing, it's not because your offer lacks value. It's because it may not be aligned with what your audience actually values. In this episode of The Estherpreneur Podcast, I explore one of the most overlooked truths in sales and leadership: people are driven by different motivations—and if you don't understand them, you'll struggle to connect. Some people are driven by freedom.Others by security.Others by impact, recognition, or growth. So if you're speaking the wrong language to the right person, they still won't move. This conversation will challenge you to rethink how you communicate, how you position your offers, and how you lead people toward decisions that actually serve them! The Estherpreneur Podcast is for CEOs, founders, and faith-driven entrepreneurs who are growing—but something feels misaligned. When you are building something meaningful, be deliberate about what you let in. Use the news strategically, not reflexively. Seek out places that elevate you—art galleries, forests, great architecture, open water. Visit the spaces where beauty lives. Your environment is not a passive backdrop to your creative life; it is an active ingredient in it. The people you surround yourself with, the places you choose to work, even the music you play—all of it is either feeding your creativity or diminishing it.I'm truly super excited over the upcoming release of my new book The Robot and the Gardener: Being Fully Human in an Artificial Age (Penguin Random House). They lack clarity. Using a practical framework they apply with clients, Kevin and Alan explain how clear targets, realistic timelines, identity, responsibility, and measurable progress create stronger goal-setting systems. They discuss why vague goals often feel safer, why accountability can feel uncomfortable, and how tracking the right habits helps you build consistency over time.If you want better results in your health, relationships, career, or business, you need more than motivation. You need a clear standard for what success requires and a way to measure whether your daily actions support it. Build the system. Then earn the result.NLU Dictionary:1. Target → This is a clear and specific goal that you want to achieve.2. Timeline → This is an exact start and end date for that goal to be achieved by.3. Title → This is a job title (Identity) that best fits the position you must hold to achieve it.4. DRI → This stands for "Directly Responsible Individual" and is one sentence that best describes exactly what you're most responsible for.5. KPI → This stands for “Key Performance Indicator” and is the most important metric that needs to be tracked consistently to achieve the goal._______________________NLU is more than a podcast. “Send Coach John a message”Another great post came across my “news wire” this morning and it came from Drew Maddux (@DrewMaddux) “WAKE UP! If your vision for your life doesn't include impacting the lives of others then you should create a bigger, bolder vision.” Amazingly true and powerful to let this come into our hearts.” ~ Jon Gordon (@jongordon11) There is another piece to this that said: “Purpose is an incredible alarm clock!” LOVE THIS! This doesn't need an age either to connect with it. The sooner the better is probably a good thing to connect with this, but wow… think how powerful a purpose / calling / Burn, can be in our lives!! It will help fire us up and get going to do the things we need to do!! Once again - the world needs more people connected to this too! Thanks for listening. There is a focus method so effective, and psychologically dangerous, that the military literally banned soldiers from using it in the 1980s. Productive mindset habits built on declassified military science: the Gateway Process was so psychologically powerful that the CIA classified it and the Army banned it, yet now it's reshaping how millions approach focus. In this episode, Tracy explores the 1983 Fort Meade document that described consciousness technology deemed "too dangerous" for elite soldiers, and reveals why this Cold War-era technique is resurfacing as the antidote to modern focus failure. Discover what military psychologists learned about mindset success that corporate productivity gurus still don't teach.https://YourSuccessDNA.comSponsor: https://SomeUnapprovedThinking.com The CIA classified it. The US military banned it. Now it's going viral on TikTok. A 29-page document delivered to Fort Meade in 1983 described a system so psychologically powerful that the Army concluded it was too dangerous for its own elite soldiers, and yet the Gateway Process has resurfaced decades later, captivating millions who have no idea they're experimenting with Cold War-era consciousness technology. This is one of the most extraordinary hidden chapters in modern military and intelligence history. The Gateway Process was born from Cold War paranoia, built on obscure audio science dating back to 1839, and tested on soldiers who called themselves Jedi Knights, operatives trained to literally transcend the boundaries of time and space. At the center of it all is Robert Monroe, a radio executive who couldn't sleep and accidentally stumbled onto a method for hacking human consciousness. In Episode 218, we break down the full declassified story: what the document actually says, why the program was shelved, and why experts are alarmed that a technique deemed too dangerous for trained military personnel is now being practiced by teenagers with earbuds. 00:00 CIA Report01:11 Monroe Origins02:15 Hemi Sync Explained03:46 Cold War Psychic Race05:00 Jedi Knights Results05:47 Remote Viewing Cases07:00 Why It Ended08:24 TikTok Revival Risks09:01 Pomodoro Versus Gateway11:27 Teen Brain Vulnerability12:12 Still Not Illegal13:00 Beware Shortcut Seduction14:01 Whiskered Wisdom15:42 Final Takeaway #GatewayProcess #CIADocuments #ConsciousnessHacking #MindControl #Declassified #ColdWarSecrets #BiauralBeats #MilitarySecrets #RobertMonroe #ForbiddenTechnology #CognitivEnhancement #TikTokTrends #HiddenHistory #BlackOps #PsychologicalWarfare Gateway Process, US military, banned technique, consciousness experiment, Robert Monroe, binaural beats, psychological operations, Gateway Process explained, illegal focus technique, mindset habits, productive mindset habits, focus productivity habits, mindset success, habits for success, entrepreneur mindset, success mindset, business tips, self help, Manifestation, growth mindset, self improvement mindset, peak productivity, growth mindset, self improvement, personal development, success habits, startup grind, habit mastery, mindset hack, productivity tips, business mindset, business motivation, entrepreneur motivation, personal growth, mental health, self improvement habits, mindset success, success mindset habits, mindset mastery, success habits Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Although I spoke a lot about legacy years ago (even wrote a book on it 25 years ago called Who Will Cry When You Die?), I no longer think it's a thing worth pursuing.Because we'll be dead. So who cares what people say? Better to be great and brave and excellent and loving while you're alive. That's the irony: care not about your legacy and live gorgeously now and you'll automatically create a grand legacy.I'm truly super excited over the upcoming release of my new book The Robot and the Gardener: Being Fully Human in an Artificial Age (Penguin Random House). Marcus Aurelius Anderson breaks down the philosophy of Niccolò Machiavelli, focusing on fortuna versus virtue, using excerpts from his upcoming book, Acta Non Verba: Transforming Adversity into Victory (out 10/13/2026). He explores how Machiavelli's concepts of luck and personal will apply to leadership, adversity, and resilience today, closing with reflective "Acta Non Verba" questions for listeners. EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS: 1:31 – Marcus explains Machiavelli's core idea that fortuna (luck) and virtue (bravery, power, will) are the two forces that determine a prince's fate. 3:51 – A key quote from The Prince, Ch. 25: fortune controls only half of our actions; the rest is up to us. 5:54 – Machiavelli's warning that no principality is secure without its own army, since mercenaries can't be trusted in battle. 8:07 – Marcus reframes adversity as a gift from fortuna, meant to test princes (and us) on the path to greatness. What if the life you worked so hard to build no longer feels aligned with who you're becoming? In Part One of the ICON Series, Allison Walsh explores the powerful process of reinvention and what it means to intentionally create your next chapter. From career changes and entrepreneurship to identity, personal growth, and finding greater alignment, Allison shares the lessons she has learned through her own seasons of reinvention—and why starting again does not mean starting from scratch. You may have the career, business, title, recognition, or stability you once dreamed about, yet still feel like something is missing. If you've been asking yourself, “Is this still right for me?”, this episode will help you recognize the difference between simply being successful and being truly aligned with the life you're building. In This Episode, Allison Explores:The 4 signs that you may be ready for reinventionWhy success can stop feeling like alignmentHow gratitude and growth can exist at the same timeWhy your identity can become limiting when it is tied too closely to a title or roleThe difference between being capable of something and being called to continue doing itWhy working harder isn't always the answer when something no longer fitsHow to recognize whether a difficult season is developing you or depleting youWhat to do when your future requires more space than your current life can holdHow to conduct an intentional reinvention auditWhat you should honor, release, carry forward, and practice nowWhy you don't have to burn down your current life to begin creating your next chapterHow to start building your next career, business, or opportunity before you're ready to make the leapThe Reinvention AuditIf you're in a season of change, Allison challenges you to evaluate four things:HONOR — What has this chapter given you?RELEASE — What no longer fits?CARRY FORWARD — What experience, skills, relationships, reputation, and strengths are you taking with you?PRACTICE NOW — What decision can you make today that reflects the woman you're becoming? You don't need to map out the next five years. You simply need to get honest about your next right move.Your Challenge This WeekTake a few minutes to complete your own reinvention audit.Write down four headings:Honor. Release. Carry Forward. Practice Now.You don't need to figure out your entire future. Start by telling yourself the truth about what no longer fits and identifying one decision that moves you toward your next chapter.Because reinvention isn't about becoming someone entirely different. It's about becoming a more complete expression of who you've been becoming all along. About the ICON SeriesICON stands for Intention, Create, Own, Next—a series about intentionally creating your next incredible chapter. This episode is Part One, focused on intention and reinvention. In the next episode, Allison will explore how you can turn everything you've lived and learned into something that creates value, impact, and opportunity for others. To be human is to crave a cause. We all need a powerful purpose to get us out of bed every morning and draw out the finest within us. I viscerally believe that one of the dominant reasons so many amongst us are addicted to distraction and living amid apathy is they haven't found something larger than their own lives to stand for. Once you find your compelling cause, begin to share it with your community. Talk it up. Blog it out. This will give your followers hope + energy + drive. Your job is to bring meaning to people in need.I'm truly super excited over the upcoming release of my new book The Robot and the Gardener: Being Fully Human in an Artificial Age (Penguin Random House). “Send Coach John a message”Another key thought from Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi): “The calmer you are, the clearer you think. Let your decisions come from a place of peace, not from reaction.” This is fitting in with me and my recent awakening to focus on more things that I can control. Too many distractions have been rearing their ugly heads lately and I need to do a better job at filtering them out along with the emotions that put me off balance. Great reminders like this are out there and we need to keep connecting with them to help us be our best!! Thanks for listening. Send us Fan MailIf you stopped producing, achieving, earning, building, or winning, would you still know who you are?For many high achievers, productivity is no longer something they do. It has become the foundation of their identity. Accomplishment makes them feel valuable. Slowing down creates guilt. Rest feels uncomfortable, and an unproductive day can feel like evidence that they are falling behind. In this episode of The Mindset Cafe, Devan Gonzalez explores the hidden connection between productivity, self-worth, achievement addiction, and identity. He breaks down how ambition can quietly turn into a constant need to prove yourself, why successful people struggle to enjoy rest, and what happens when a business setback, injury, retirement, vacation, or major life transition removes the role that once made them feel important. You will learn how to recognize productivity guilt, separate your identity from your results, maintain high standards without making every outcome personal, and build a stronger sense of self that does not disappear when your performance changes. This episode is not about becoming less ambitious. It is about making sure your ambition serves your life instead of becoming the only reason you believe your life has value.Ask yourself the question most high performers avoid:If you're not producing, who are you?Support the showThanks for listening & being part of the Mindset Cafe Community.----------------------------------------------Follow On Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/mindsetcafepodcast/ https://www.instagram.com/devan.gonzalez/Let me know what topics or questions you want covered so we can help you achieve your goals faster.----------------------------------------------Are you taking the right supplements to maximize your mind and body in fitness & health. Wondering how to be more visible online without feeling fake or forced?I'm back with a short but sweet solo episode on a topic you all know that I am SO passionate about: visibility. What if the reason you're exhausted isn't because you're working too hard—but because you're carrying an identity you were never meant to become? Author, speaker, former NFL linebacker, and Chase's close friend Caleb Campbell returns to Ever Forward Radio for a radically different conversation about ambition, achievement, personal development, and what happens when the strategies that made you successful stop making you feel alive. Drawing from his new book UN Striving: 12 Lessons on Authentic Success from a Recovering Overachiever, Caleb explains why many high performers unknowingly use success to create safety, prove their worth, outrun shame, and avoid the very emotions asking for their attention. To not die when you get knocked down is to play with the gods. And soar with the angels. Sometimes—in the hardest and darkest of times—what helps you survive and then thrive and then fly is putting one foot after another foot, after another foot. Small baby steps that eventually get us running again. The key is not to give up. Never ever never ever ever ever ever never ever! (Thanks Winston). Not to become an injustice collector. Not to give up on your heroic ideals and your gorgeous dreams for a richer, better, happier and more helpful life. Become UnKillAble. What you believe about yourself, other people, and what is possible affects what you notice, what you attempt, and how you respond when results fall short. Kevin and Alan discuss why accuracy matters more than blind optimism, how external messages can influence performance, and why your current beliefs should be tested through real action. They also break down the difference between using evidence wisely and allowing statistics, doubt, or comforting stories to limit your potential. This episode offers a direct look at self-awareness, personal responsibility, and the practical feedback loop that helps you build stronger beliefs through consistent behavior._______________________NLU is more than a podcast. Shoot Me A Quick Text & Introduce YourselfWe often know exactly what we should be doing, yet somehow find ourselves returning to the same habits, reactions, and ways of thinking.Sometimes it's not because those patterns are good for us. They're simply familiar. In this episode, I'm talking about what it means to reprogram your mind and break away from behaviors that may have served an older version of you but no longer fit where you're going. We'll get into why old patterns can be so difficult to change, how repetition and your environment influence your behavior, and practical, science-backed ways to begin creating a new normal.Because changing your life isn't just about knowing what you should do. It's about practicing a different response long enough for what once felt unfamiliar to eventually become familiar.Support the showNext Chapter CoachingAssessmentFree Download: The Next Chapter GuideInstagramYouTubeSupport the show - Show your appreciation by supporting the show
What happens when you finally do the thing that scares you? After dreaming about giving a TEDx Talk, applying to numerous events, getting accepted, and spending six months preparing for the TEDx stage, I finally stepped onto that red circle and shared my message about the Imagination Recession and why play and creativity matter more than ever. But the experience taught me much more than how to give a TEDx Talk.In this episode of the Second Act Success Podcast, I'm sharing three powerful lessons I learned about fear, self-doubt, confidence, and going after big goals.I'm also sharing what surprised me about meeting the other TEDx speakers and realizing that even incredibly accomplished people experience imposter syndrome and wonder whether their story is worthy of being heard. If you're considering a career change, starting a business, pursuing a dream, or simply trying to find the courage to take your next big step, this episode is your reminder that confidence doesn't have to come before action.Sometimes you have to do the scary thing first.
“Send Coach John a message”I found a great connection from Roy T. Bennett (@InspiringThinkn) where this gem was shared: “Value yourself enough to let go of what no longer enriches your life or brings you peace.” ~Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart. Amazing connections here for me and hopefully you too. Our world today has so many things that really do not enrich our lives and certainly don't bring us peace. The key is to filter through all the items that get in the way and filter those out and replace them with things that build up our peace and joy. Those things that enhance our purpose in life are what we need to connect with. It's amazing when we connect with this thought and start putting in the effort to make things better for ourselves. “Send Coach John a message”Found an amazing post from Greg Berge (@GregBerge): “The 80-8 Rule is one of my favorites. Only two people you really need to impress: • The 8-year-old version of you and • The 80-year-old version of you. Keep the joy. Live with no regrets.” This made so much sense to me. The 8 year old me is in the past and it's really a general spot in most people's life where we have good memories from. I look back to my 8 year old self a lot and I am still working hard to make that little guy proud of who I have become. My 80 year old self is still in the future, and it's not that far in the future too. That is someone who I want to make sure I do things today so that when that 80 year old me shows up (and hopefully he will), he will look back with great gratitude as to what I did today (and every day) in order to be my best!! How do you connect to these two versions of you?? Thanks for listening. What if the life you actually want requires you to stop trying to be liked? In this episode, Lacy and Jessica break down what we're all getting wrong about authenticity, and why it's one of the most important parts of manifesting a life you love. They talk about the difference between living as your real self vs. performing "realness" to get validation and approval, and how the interests you had before you learned to fit in hold clues to who you really are. They also get candid about the hard parts of being seen: triggering people, being misunderstood, feeling lonely in between who you were and who you're becoming, and letting go of the need to prove you're good enough. This is your sign to reflect and refine. Stop looking outside yourself for your identity. Disconnect from the noise and become the author of your own story. The things you actually want in life aren't found by copying someone else's path—they show up when you have the courage to follow your own.Full show notes → https://tobemagnetic.com/expanded-podcast Resources:The TBM App Has Upleveled! Our app just got a major upgrade to make your manifestation practice more personalized, guided, and easy to follow. In this explosive September 11th interview, Mike breaks down the statistical impossibilities of the election, including 55 instances of votes counting in reverse and synchronized voting percentages across all candidates.Mike details his intense legal battle with the Minnesota Secretary of State and the Canvassing Board over a paper ballot hand-count audit. After the recount price was arbitrarily hiked to $825,000 and his request was denied by the Minnesota Supreme Court, Mike is now taking his case directly to the US Supreme Court, suing the voting machine companies for operating "defective devices."This is the tip of the spear in the fight for election integrity. Are You ACTUALLY Expecting To Win?
Sure you can meditate and pray and heal and go silent. All such practices work. To help you step into who and all you're meant to be, as you realize your highest destiny. But, if you and I were having coffee at a simple yet soulful cafe in some special and perhaps even mystical far-off land (Bhutan is on my list) and after a sip or two, you asked me “Robin, what's the one spiritual skill that lifts every other spiritual skill?” I'd reply, after a sip or two, “learning to get really really really good at letting go.”Sure, it sounds so simple. To……let go and let God.…to do your best and then have the bravery, wisdom and faith to let life do the rest.…to exercise action and then release longing and wishing and trust the ancient and transformational prayer “thy will be done.”Seems easy. Hard to apply, in reality. Because we all want what we want. It's such a challenge to let go, and trust that after we've done our human part (invested the sweat equity, risen when fallen and stood for excellence) whatever comes is for our absolute best. Yet, why would we not want it? Because it's for our best, if you get my drift. My latest book “The Wealth Money Can't Buy” is full of fresh ideas and original tools that I'm absolutely certain will cause quantum leaps in your positivity, productivity, wellness, and happiness.
