He was blamed for calling her repeatedly that morning, a fact with a heartbreaking, entirely innocent explanation once the timeline is laid out in full. We go through why the roommates' hours-long delay in calling 911 isn't what people think it proves, what their private writings actually show, and why a judge looked at the alternate suspects online sleuths pushed and called the theory rank speculation. Then there's the sheath. Kohberger's DNA turned up on the snap of a leather knife sheath left in a victim's bed, and the lab says it wasn't a trace amount, it was hundreds of times more genetic material than investigators usually see in a case like this. Then we take the doubts head-on: the eight-hour wait before 911, the fact that the survivors were scrolling their phones that morning, the cruelty of mining a young woman's diary for proof, the idea that the roommates lived because they were in on it, and the alternate suspects the defense begged a judge to allow — and got shut down on.
