Frauenthal ist das älteste Zisterzienserkloster in der Schweiz, das heute noch am Ort seiner Gründung steht. Es wurde von Ulrich von Schnabelburg im Jahr 1231 gegründet und um 1245 in den Zisterzienserorden aufgenommen. In der Folge der Reformation um 1530 stand Frauenthal etwa 22 Jahre lang leer, bis es 1552 wiederbesiedelt wurde. Das Kloster liegt einige Kilometer nördlich von Cham inmitten von Wäldern und Wiesen auf einer Insel, die von den beiden Armen des Flusses Lorze gebildet wird. Die Klosterkirche wurde 1776/77 von den Stukkateuren Anton Klotz und Johann Georg Scharpf aus dem Lechtal sowie dem Maler Antoni Schueler im Rokokostil entworfen und 1972 und 2005 renoviert und neu gestrichen. Eingebettet in sanfte Hügel, umrahmt von Bergen und Seen entdecken wir Klöster als stille Oasen am Weg. Der Duft von Kerzen und Kräutergärten, die Ruhe jahrhundertealter Mauern und die Weite der Landschaft begleiten uns. Vom zurückgezogenen Leben der Karthäuser, über die schlichte Welt der Kapuziner bis zu den kraftvollen Zisterzienserinnen. Sie erklärt, dass ihr Unternehmen seit den 1960ern Menschen die Orte der Bibel näherbringt. Reisen nach Israel sind aktuell nahezu unmöglich, doch in friedlichen Zeiten ist besonders Jerusalem zur Karwoche ein eindrucksvoller Ort, an dem verschiedene Religionen gleichzeitig ihre Feste feiern. Im Evangelium an diesem Montag in der Karwoche geht es um Maria, die Jesus mit kostbarem Öl salbt. Preissner deutet das als große Geste von Liebe und Dankbarkeit. Im Gegensatz dazu steht Judas, dessen Kritik an der vermeintlichen Ölverschwendung unehrlich ist. Auch die Faszination der Menschen für Jesus und Lazarus sowie die Angst der Mächtigen werden deutlich. Eine Folge, die zeigt, wie aktuell und bewegend biblische Geschichten heute noch sein können – unbedingt reinhören!Aus dem Johannesevangelium:Sechs Tage vor dem Paschafest kam Jesus nach Betánien, wo Lázarus war, den er von den Toten auferweckt hatte. Das sagte er aber nicht, weil er ein Herz für die Armen gehabt hätte, sondern weil er ein Dieb war; er hatte nämlich die Kasse und veruntreute die Einkünfte.
