What if the real reason you can't hear your intuition is that there hasn't been enough space to listen? If your intuition feels quiet (or chaotic) you're not alone. In this potent episode, Jessica welcomes back medium and spiritual teacher Taylor Paige for an expansive conversation on what it truly takes to connect with your intuitive gifts in our fast-paced, overstimulated world.Together, they explore why nervous system regulation is the gateway to intuition and spiritual awakening, how “clearing the cobwebs” of mental noise is a non-negotiable step, and how healing the spirit wound allows you to reclaim your power as your own oracle. Taylor shares the link between nervous system work, intuition, and manifestation, and reminds us that intuition isn't something a select few are born with. It's something we all carry. If you've ever thought, “I just don't have intuition,” this conversation gently invites you to reconsider that limiting belief. From getting comfortable with silence, allowing emotions to move through you, and understanding how your healing ripples outward, to realizing that the pings and downloads you've been waiting for may have been knocking all along, there's something in this conversation meant to meet you exactly where you are.Find the complete show notes here -> https://tobemagnetic.com/expanded-podcast Resources: Return to Magic - 15 Day Manifestation ChallengeA 15-day guided journey to reparent your inner child, reconnect with your magic, and step into this new year as your most confident, regulated, and magnetic self yet. Instead, DHS, ICE, and Border Patrol, backed by Palantir, are building a facial recognition dystopia to track Americans. Jake GTV exposes Trump's sellout betrayal, buried Epstein child rape tapes, and the AI surveillance grid Talmudic perverts are forcing on Americans to destroy us while pushing Netanyahu's Iran war.

Hello Beautiful, I'm so grateful you're here with me.
After infidelity, one of the most common questions I hear is, "Will it always hurt?" In this encore episode, I answer that question honestly and offer a clear path forward. The pain does not last forever — but healing requires understanding what actually causes the pain and learning how to work with your mind instead of against it. I walk through three foundational steps that help the hurt subside over time. First, I explain why infidelity hurts so deeply and how the meaning we attach to it often reactivates old wounds. Then I separate remembering from hurting — showing why forgetting isn't necessary in order to heal. Finally, I teach how to set boundaries around your thoughts so you stop reopening the wound again and again. Healing does not mean erasing the past. It means learning how to remember without suffering and how to treat yourself with compassion when pain resurfaces. This work puts the power back in your hands — regardless of whether you stay in the relationship or not. In this episode, I cover: Infidelity hurts because of the meaning we attach to it, not the event itself Remembering and hurting are two different processes Thought boundaries help prevent emotional re-injury If you're ready to heal without waiting for someone else to change, I invite you to reach out and learn how to begin this work. In today's episode, Jamie and Abigail Peterson have a heartfelt and honest conversation about the difference between faith and trust— especially when life doesn't go the way we hoped. When we walk through seasons of grief, loss, and the unimaginable reality of losing a spouse, faith can feel easy to speak about… but trust becomes the deeper journey. We're talking about what it looks like to cling to God in the middle of heartbreak, how faith carries us through shock and survival, and how trust is slowly rebuilt in the long road of healing. This episode is for anyone navigating grief, supporting someone who is grieving, or learning how to trust God again after life has changed forever. Grief and faith can exist together. Questions and trust can exist together. You don't have to have everything figured out to keep walking forward. Healing doesn't happen overnight—but hope can begin today. If this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who may be walking through a difficult season. Your share could be the reminder they need that they are not alone.Make sure to follow along with her journey on her podcast The Business of Widows: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-business-of-widows/id1864673590

I just turned 40 last month. And I don't know what shifts inside at midlife, but something changes when you hit this milestone. You start asking different questions: "Is this it?" "Is this who I really am?" "Is this all there is for me?" And if you've been battling an eating disorder for decades—maybe 10 years, maybe 20, maybe 30—you're asking an even harder question: "Who am I without this?" It's Eating Disorder Awareness Month. And this year, I want to talk about something we don't talk about enough—eating disorders in midlife. Did you know that eating disorder hospitalizations for women aged 45-65 have increased by 42% in the last decade? And yet, we still act like eating disorders are just a "young woman's problem." But if you're a woman in your late 30s, 40s, 50s, or beyond, and you're still struggling, I see you. This is NOT just a young woman's issue. And this episode? This one's for you. Because here's the truth: Midlife is an identity crisis. And breaking up with your eating disorder? That's an identity crisis too. And when those two collide, it can feel overwhelming. But what if this collision isn't a crisis at all? What if it's a crossroads? What if midlife is the PERFECT time to finally break free? IN THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL DISCOVER: Why midlife identity crisis and ED identity crisis are shockingly similar The statistics: 42% increase in ED hospitalizations for women 45-65, 13% of women over 50 engage in disordered eating Why more women are reaching out for support in midlife (and why that's powerful) The 5 reasons why NOW is the perfect season to go all in on recovery Why menopause/perimenopause can actually SUPPORT your recovery, not hinder it How to answer "I've had this for 30 years—how can I possibly recover now?" Real client stories: Women who recovered at 47, 52, and 61 What life AFTER ED in midlife actually looks like The reframe: This isn't a crisis, it's a crossroads Why the second half of your life is waiting for you to reclaim it KEY QUOTES

Send us a textIn this transformational episode, I welcome back Dr. Lotte Valentin.—a physician, medium, and author who made her bold journey to medical school after the age of 50. Dr. Lotte shares how her near-death experiences (NDEs) awakened psychic gifts, shifted her beliefs about the spirit world, and led her to study a myriad of healing modalities. The heart of this conversation centers on **ancestral healing** and her own pioneering technique, Kendraya, which combines science, intuition, and somatic awareness. Both Dr. Lotte and I discuss how intuition guides our decisions and the importance of tuning in to your heart's wisdom.Dr. Lotte describes her unlikely path to becoming a naturopathic doctor, driven by messages from spirit and a desire to blend modern and ancient healing. Hear Dr. Lotte's account of leaving her body during a medical emergency, receiving comfort from spirit, and how these events shifted her worldview. The episode dives deep into how ancestral traumas and patterns are passed down—sometimes even physically—sharing scientific studies on epigenetics and practical examples of emotional and behavioral inheritance. Learn about Dr. Lotte's new modality, Kendraya, which incorporates cognitive awareness, intuitive ‘clairs', and somatic mapping to identify and heal inherited patterns. Explore real-life scenarios, such as repeating family wounds around loss, rejection, and relationship struggles—and how ancestral healing can help break the cycle. Dr. Lotte explains how Kendraya is used both in private sessions and her upcoming online class, including shamanic meditation journeys and practical tools for self-healing. She shares info about her upcoming 7-week course on The Shift Network, including a free introductory event, and how healing ancestral wounds can transform not just the individual, but the entire family line—past and future. The episode closes with a powerful reminder: it's never too late to reinvent yourself. Dr. Lotte is living proof!**Takeaways:**- You are deeply connected to your ancestors through more than just genetics—emotions, patterns, and beliefs ripple through generations.- Healing ancestral wounds releases blockages for yourself, your children, and future generations.- Intuition is your superpower. Learning to trust it opens doors to healing and transformation.- It's never too late to follow your true path and ignite your spark! Thanks for tuning in to Ignite Your Spark! In this episode, Michaela introduces a NEW aura color named “You Should Too Blue.” This energy shows up when someone believes their suffering should be a blueprint for how others live, heal, and grow.Michaela explores how this mindset is rooted in unhealed trauma, reinforced by 3D societal programming, and often disguised as toughness, wisdom, or “that's just how life is.” Michaela breaks down how You Should Too Blue energy manifests, why it's so common, and how it quietly perpetuates cycles of pain instead of growth. With a blend of spiritual insight, grounded psychology, and playful honesty, this episode invites you to recognize where this energy might be showing up in your life or where you may have internalized it without realizing. February looks a little different this year… because we are letting men take the mic.To kick off our February Men's Series, we are joined by actor, producer, veteran and content creator Mike Bless aka Michael Anthony. This conversation dives deep into dating, emotional healing, masculinity and the realities of modern relationships from a male perspective. We talk about how men process heartbreak, the role of honesty in dating, why communication looks different for men, and the idea that many men heal quietly instead of publicly. Mike opens up about accountability, emotional vulnerability, dating expectations and the importance of being honest about intentions early.Of course, we also get into power dynamics in relationships, monogamy vs honesty, the Atlanta dating scene, men wearing purses (yes, we went there), and why giving space in early dating might actually be healthy. This episode kicks off a full month of real conversations with men about love, growth, healing and relationships — and we are listening.Cocktail of the Week: The Leading ManIngredients2 oz bourbon 1 oz blood orange juice ½ oz simple or honey syrup 2 dashes Angostura bitters Orange peel garnishInstructionsAdd bourbon, blood orange juice, syrup and bitters to a mixing glass with ice.Stir for about 20–25 seconds until well chilled.Strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.Express the oils from an orange peel over the drink and drop it in.Sip, stare dramatically into the distance, and pretend you're the main character.
What happens when a generation openly pursues the supernatural while turning away from God, searching for meaning and identity in everything but Him? Ray, E.Z., Mark, and Oscar dive into the rising tide of paganism, astrology, witchcraft, and spiritual experimentation among Gen Z, exploring why young people are so drawn to these practices and what this reveals about both the culture and the church. The guys emphasize that this hunger points to a deeper spiritual void that only Christ can fill, and that understanding it is crucial for anyone seeking to disciple this generation. The guys examine whether Hollywood, social media, and platforms like TikTok are driving this movement or merely amplifying what has been quietly growing for years. They describe a rudderless generation marked by shallow conversions, suppressed truth, and a tendency to credit themselves rather than God for meaning. When sin is never crucified with Christ, the Spirit is quenched, and practices like tarot, astrology, or alternative spirituality rush in to fill the vacuum. Some of the guys share personal experiences from before their salvation, recalling encounters with the spiritual realm that they once dismissed but now recognize as very real.Rather than responding with fear, the conversation moves to hope and practical discernment. Oscar notes that a pagan is often closer to conversion than a hardened materialist, because the longing for transcendence reveals a God-given hunger. As secularism flattens culture into monotony, people seek healing and purpose wherever they can find it. Paganism may offer a sense of community, empowerment, or entertainment, but only Christ provides true identity, restoration, and lasting transformation. Healing is never about managing energies or seeking control—it is found solely in the Savior who gave Himself fully for humanity. The episode concludes with a sober call to vigilance and faithfulness. Witchcraft and paganism promise freedom without moral restraint, yet scripture clearly warns that they defile and deceive, and these influences now touch the church as much as the world. The guys caution that counterfeit spirituality and emotionalism often center on man rather than God, making discernment essential. Studying scripture is the key to recognizing false teachings, because counterfeits constantly evolve. Jesus is not one spiritual option among many; He is the singular way, truth, and life, and genuine repentance requires turning away from every other doorway and following Him completely, embracing the hope and transformation only He can offer.Send us a textThanks for listening! How Can Christians Turn Groans into Growth By Responding to Ecological Grief? In this episode of the Good Faith Podcast, host Curtis Chang talks with Dr. Jonathan Moo, a decorated professor of both the New Testament and Environmental Studies, about why Christian creation care belongs at the center of discipleship. Drawing from Romans 8, Colossians 1, and Genesis 1–2, Moo connects biblical hope for new creation with practical action on climate change, stewardship, and loving our neighbors by caring for the places they depend on and enjoy. The conversation explores how faith and science can work together, why "dominion" looks like Christ-shaped service, and how small, local projects—from Uganda to Texas—offer tangible models of environmental renewal. It is God alone who brings restoration and healing to us, and we can trust in Him for renewal. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how our ability to receive from the Lord is linked to our willingness to invite Him into our lives. The Lord will not always respond right when we want Him to, but through faith, we can overcome disappointment and trust that God is moving—regardless of how we feel. Pastor Allen shares stories of eye-opening acts of God's power in the lives of people like Apostle Paul, Apostle Peter, and even himself. God is inviting us to live out a bolder faith as He moves in new ways. Let's respond with "Yes!"
#364: In this episode, I'm joined by Susan Klunder, a recent graduate of Anchored, my six-month coaching and somatics program. Susan shares her lived experience of moving from chronic people-pleasing, perfectionism, and emotional outsourcing into a life that feels grounded, joyful, and genuinely her own. We talk about what it was like before Anchored, when she had done years of therapy, coaching, and personal development, but still felt overwhelmed, disconnected, and driven by fear rather than trust. Susan reflects on how Anchored helped her understand her nervous system patterns in real time, shift out of overfunctioning, and develop deep self-trust without losing her drive, ambition, or care for others. This conversation is a powerful example of what becomes possible when nervous system healing happens in community. Join us as Susan shares how Anchored changed her work life, her relationships, her parenting, and her capacity for joy. In this episode, we're talking about goji berries—what they are, where they come from, and why they've earned their reputation as a nutrient-dense “superfood.” You'll learn the practical health benefits of goji berries, including how they support energy, immunity, eye health, and overall wellness. But we're also zooming out to remember an important truth: real healing is about more than finding the perfect food or remedy. As Christian women, our health journey involves body, mind, and spirit working together—not chasing the next trendy solution. If you've felt overwhelmed by all the health advice out there, this episode will help you stay grounded, balanced, and faith-centered in your approach to wellness. What You'll Learn What goji berries actually are The key nutrients and health benefits they offer Simple, practical ways to include them in your diet Why no single food can “fix” everything How to keep a biblical, whole-person perspective on healing Key Takeaways Goji berries can be a healthy, nourishing addition to your routine. Superfoods are helpful—but they are not magic solutions. True healing happens when we care for our whole selves: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. There's a point in many recovery journeys where insight stops being the problem. You know what to do. You understand your patterns. And yet… change still feels hard. In this episode, I talk with Paula Robbins, author of Hitchhiking Into Recovery, who has over 37 years of sobriety, about why that happens—and what actually sustains healing over the long haul. The Ride That Opened the Door Paula's recovery didn't begin with a dramatic intervention. It began when she was picked up hitchhiking in 1988 by someone living a sober, connected life. That single interaction mattered because it interrupted isolation. Not with willpower. With connection. Addiction Is a Disconnection Problem Paula grew up with trauma, neglect, and instability. Alcohol became a way to shut down overwhelming emotions long before she had language for what was happening. By age 12, she was drinking to blackout. What stands out isn't just the trauma—it's what was missing: Safety Emotional guidance Consistent connection Addiction wasn't a moral failure. It was a survival strategy. Feelings Aren't Facts One of Paula's most grounding principles is simple: Feelings and facts are not the same. Recovery didn't eliminate difficult emotions—it created space to respond instead of react. That pause is where real change happens. The Four Pillars That Sustain Recovery After decades of sobriety, Paula distilled what actually works into four stabilizing forces: Community – healing happens in relationship Mentorship – someone to help you see clearly Service – contribution rebuilds self-esteem Daily spiritual alignment – prayer, meditation, or quiet time These pillars show up in every effective recovery model because they address the root issue: disconnection. Divine Alignment vs. Self-Will Paula explains divine alignment not as certainty, but as a felt sense. When she's controlling outcomes, she feels restless and tight. When she surrenders—even briefly—things soften. Sometimes all it takes is the simple phrase: "Thy will be done." A Gentle Reminder If change feels hard, it doesn't mean you're failing. It may simply mean effort isn't the missing piece—connection is. One Small Action Try just one: Strengthen one pillar that feels weak Take a 5-minute daily pause Offer one small act of service Notice a feeling without acting on it Healing doesn't require fixing yourself. It starts with not doing it alone. Resources Mentioned Hitchhiking Into Recovery 12-Step Recovery Programs Step 3 Prayer Step 11: Prayer and Meditation Service work in recovery Guest Contact Info:
If you're co-parenting after separation or divorce, you've probably realized something no one really prepares you for: The relationship doesn't end… it just changes shape. And suddenly, every text about pickup times, school forms, or “did you send the sweatshirt back?” feels emotionally loaded. Not because you're arguing about sweatshirts—but because separation brings grief, fear, anger, and unfinished emotional business into everyday communication. In this episode of the No Guilt Mom Podcast, I'm joined by Gabriella Pomare, family lawyer, award-winning author of The Collaborative Co-Parent, and co-parenting advocate. We talk about what actually works when communication breaks down—especially if your ex is difficult, high-conflict, or completely uncooperative. Because co-parenting isn't about being friends. It's about structure, boundaries, and emotional safety for your kids—without you carrying the entire emotional load. What You'll Learn in This Episode 1) Why communication falls apart after separation (even when you both love your kids) Gabriella describes separation as a “nervous system earthquake.” When you're grieving the life you thought you'd have, messages don't land neutrally anymore. Even something as small as “you're running late” can feel like criticism, control, or a power struggle. 2) The difference between “moving on” and actually healing You can look fine on the outside—working, dating, functioning—and still feel your body spike the moment your ex's name shows up on your phone. Healing is when you can respond instead of react, stop trying to win, and read a neutral message without creating a high-conflict story in your head. 3) What collaborative co-parenting really means (and what it doesn't) Collaborative co-parenting doesn't mean you're best friends or agree on everything. It means consistently making decisions through a child-centered lens, with clear systems that reduce emotional volatility—especially in high-conflict situations. Often, that looks less emotional and more business-like. 4) Boundaries that actually work—and how to handle it when they're crossed Boundaries aren't rules you force on your ex. They're commitments you make to yourself. Gabriella explains how to stop engaging with emotional bait, rehashing the past, and escalating conversations—without creating more conflict. 5) A practical tool for high-conflict co-parenting: communication apps If your ex sends long, hostile messages or constantly pulls you into conflict, Gabriella recommends using a co-parenting app like OurFamilyWizard to: keep communication child-focused reduce harassment and message flooding create clear boundaries and documentation shift communication from emotional to logistical 6) The 4 pillars of co-parent communication Gabriella's framework for reducing conflict: Listen → Pause → Reflect → Respond The hardest part? The pause. Because when emotions are high, the instinct is to respond quickly and win. The pause is what breaks the cycle. 7) What kids need most to feel safe across two homes Kids don't need perfect parents. They need predictability, stability, and emotional safety. When kids know what's happening, who's picking them up, and that they're not responsible for adult emotions, they feel more secure—even across two households. What if recovery didn't have to mean pushing harder—or going under the needle? In this episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Sayan explores how healing can become more intelligent, less invasive, and more aligned with the body's natural repair systems. Joining him is Dr. Tommy Rhee, who breaks down recovery vs. overtraining, why “push through pain” backfires, and how next-gen regenerative signaling may support longevity, mental resilience, and trust in the healing process—without aggressive intervention. About the Guest: Dr. Tommy Rhee is a sports chiropractor, author, and practitioner focused on cell-free regenerative medicine and performance recovery. He has experience spanning elite athletics, clinical work, and military service. Key Takeaways: Recovery is as essential as training—overtraining can drive chronic injury. “Aggressive recovery” can worsen compromised tissue; strategic rest matters. Regenerative medicine focuses on signals that support tissue repair. Non-invasive topical delivery may reduce risks tied to injections. Physical healing impacts mood and identity—mind, body, and purpose interact. Fasting may help some people reset habits, but approach it thoughtfully. Lovgren, an author and respected teacher of the ancient Hawaiian practice of ho'oponopono—a method centered on forgiveness, reconciliation, and personal transformation.Jon is the author of The Magic Words: Your Pathway to Peace, Joy, and Happiness, Where Miracles Become Expectations, a book that breaks down why ho'oponopono works on both a spiritual and neurological level. He explores neuroplasticity, the neuroscience of creativity, and how these principles weave together to help us release what holds us back and step into who we're meant to be.With more than 40 years of study across religious texts, Kabbalah, metaphysics, quantum physics, psychology, and philosophy—and over 15 years of dedicated ho'oponopono practice—Jon brings a rare depth of understanding. In the community, he's known as the “YaY!!! man” and the fun guy who always signs off with his signature phrase: “Have Fun!!!”When he's not teaching or writing, Jon might be:Playing with toy trains (or “model railroading” for the serious folks)Flying a drone over a Hawaiian beachOr out on the golf course enjoying his favorite sportHis alter‑ego, Jondolf, makes the occasional appearance too—you can guess the rest. How ho'oponopono works and why it's so transformativeThe connection between forgiveness, neuroplasticity, and creativityHow to integrate ancient wisdom into modern lifeJon's personal journey through decades of study and practiceWhy playfulness and joy are essential to healingStories, laughter, and insights from a man who truly embodies his messageIf you're seeking peace, clarity, or a deeper understanding of yourself, Jon's perspective offers a refreshing and grounded path forward. Explosive fights after infidelity are not a communication problem—they're a trauma response. If every conversation turns into an argument, shutdown, or emotional blowup, this episode explains why—and how to stop it. After an affair or sexual betrayal, many couples find themselves stuck in high-conflict cycles that feel impossible to control. Small triggers turn into massive arguments. Pain gets weaponized. Trust erodes further. And instead of healing, the marriage stays in survival mode. In this episode, betrayal-trauma and marriage recovery specialist Lisa Limehouse breaks down why explosive fights happen after infidelity and shares 3 research-backed, Scripture-anchored ways to de-escalate conflict and rebuild emotional safety—without avoiding hard conversations or suppressing truth. You'll learn: Why your brain and nervous system are driving post-infidelity fights How trauma flooding shuts down empathy, logic, and repair Why “talking it out” often makes things worse after betrayal 3 practical steps to stop explosive arguments and create emotional safety How biblical wisdom and neuroscience align in the healing process What must be in place before trust and connection can actually return This episode is for: ✔️ Betrayed spouses who feel constantly triggered or emotionally overwhelmed ✔️ Unfaithful spouses who want to repair but feel attacked or defensive ✔️ Couples who want restoration but are stuck in chaos and conflict Lisa also explains why stopping the fights is not optional if you want real healing—and how safety, not intensity, is the foundation for reconciliation. Marijuana doesn't ruin most people's lives. It just makes staying the same feel comfortable. In this episode, we take an honest look at marijuana as a coping tool and how something that helps you relax, numb out, or get through hard days can quietly turn into the thing that keeps you stuck. This isn't an anti-weed conversation. It's a real one that you may need to have with yourself. We talk about why weed feels like it helps, how it lowers emotional urgency, and why relief without resolution can delay real change. When you use marijuana to cope with stress, anxiety, boredom, or dissatisfaction, you often stop listening to the very signals meant to push you toward growth. We'll discuss the difference between coping and avoiding. How weed mutes emotions instead of helping you process them. Why comfort can quietly block motivation and progress the lies you tell yourself about relaxation, creativity, and “deserving it”. What actually happens when you stop using weed to cope and why discomfort isn't a problem. This episode is for anyone who feels “fine” on the surface, but knows something deeper isn't changing. If you've ever wondered whether marijuana is helping you heal or just helping you tolerate a life you've outgrown this conversation is for you. xoxo, Jeannet Work with Jeannet: Apply for one on one private coaching: https://forms.gle/bwoTL8HCUDPmM1LY8 Get my FREE workbook to help you identify the skills you can monetize with an online business: https://www.jeannetsacks.com/monetizeskills Coaching Business Workshop: This Workshop is designed to take you from newbie to launching your own Online Coaching Business or restructure your current Coaching Program so it starts making you money. I explore the concept of healing that, while initially invigorating, may evolve into a relentless job—a continuous performance review of emotions and symptoms. This episode serves as a pivotal reminder of the importance of stepping back from the rigorous management of our healing journey, allowing space for rest and reflection. We discuss how, in the beginning, healing can bring a sense of excitement and relief as individuals discover new tools and insights that resonate with their journey. However, over time, the joy of these practices can diminish, replaced by a sense of duty where healing feels more like a checklist than a nurturing relationship with oneself. The conversation highlights the possible pitfalls of self-monitoring and the fear of regression, emphasizing how these pressures can cloud our emotional landscape and hinder true healing. As I guide you through this discussion, I emphasize that the essence of healing lies not in constant vigilance but in cultivating a relationship with oneself that prioritizes curiosity and neutrality. We unpack the detrimental effects of a performance-oriented mindset, exploring how it can create an unyielding atmosphere of tension and exhaustion, particularly for those already navigating the challenges of anxiety or PTSD. Instead, I encourage a shift away from management—constantly wondering if we are doing enough—to a more compassionate stance that embraces listening to our needs and allowing moments of rest.#AnxietyCoachesPodcast #HealingFatigue #AnxietyRecovery #NervousSystemRegulation #MentalHealthAwareness #SelfCareBurnout #GinaRyan #RestIsProductive #HealingJourney #AnxietySupport #MaryOliver #JeffFoster #Mindfulness #SafetyFirst #MentalRest #OvercomingAnxiety #BurnoutRecovery #GentleHealing #SoftAnimal #Neutrality #EndTheStruggle #Aloha #SelfCompassion #NervousSystemHealth #ACPSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Healing is often framed through the lens of heroic breakthroughs, peak experiences, and emotional catharsis, but this episode centers a steadier path. Many modern healing trends—amplified by social media and the promise of instant transformation—can quietly deplete the body, especially for women, leading to every day burnout, long-term exhaustion, and chronic illness. Rather than bypassing the physical, we return to the essentials, recognizing that illness for modern women is often rooted in chronic stress and physiological depletion- not the lack of spiritual epiphanies or endless emotional processing. I'm joined today by women's health expert and mineral balancing practitioner Sena Shellenberger, who brings grounded clarity to what true, lasting healing requires, helping us understand the body's intelligent responses to modern life and offering a vision of healing that is slow, nourishing, and sustainable. This week, Jake and Bob reflect on a few topics that were discussed during a recent "Holy Desire" Priest's retreat with the JPII Healing Center. They discuss the connection between communion with God and the removal of pain, how woundedness redirects good desires, and why coping strategies are not usually virtuous. Jake and Bob also answer a few questions received from priests at the retreat, such as—Am I using wounds as an excuse for sin? What is the difference between soul ties and enmeshment? And should I share my wounds with my parents? Key Points: Healing is best understood as an ongoing encounter with God's love that restores communion and is not simply the removal of pain. Pain relief can be a fruit of healing, but it should never become the primary goal over intimacy with God. Broken communion is the reason we experience pain. Wounds often lead us to develop maladaptive responses that we mistakenly elevate into "virtues." Holy desires naturally draw us toward love and communion with God and others. When wounds and vows press down on holy desires, those desires often emerge sideways as disordered desires. Disordered desires are not evil at their core but are distorted expressions of something originally good. Enmeshment reflects a lack of healthy differentiation and often develops within family systems. Soul ties are distorted bonds that form through sin, wounds, or misplaced dependency. Learning to recognize the good desire beneath another's behavior transforms how we relate to them. Love grows when we respond to a person's holy desire rather than reacting to their maladaptive behavior. Discernment, timing, and freedom of heart are essential when considering sharing one's wounds with parents.
