In a frank and redemptive conversation, James shares how God has led him through personal suffering, grief, and correction in order to cultivate a more grounded and fruitful prophetic ministry. He outlines the dangers of becoming “addicted to the now” and highlights the need for reform within the prophetic landscape—starting with deeper alignment to Scripture. With decades of experience and a heart for discipleship, James speaks candidly about prophetic accountability, the role of trials in spiritual formation, and how leaders can respond when they find themselves out of sync with God's purpose.Key Topics Covered:The importance of anchoring prophetic ministry in the WordThe need for prophetic reform and leadership accountabilityHow grief, loss, and trial have shaped James' journeyRedemptive correction and how God guides His prophetsTraining future generations in prophetic humility and maturityHow to Engage with Orbis:- Check out Ken's book, On the Road with the Holy Spirit: https://a.co/d/0OVIIA0- Partner with Orbis Financially: https://subsplash.com/orbisministries/give- Download the app: https://subsplash.com/orbisministries/app- Are you interested in learning about Holy Spirit-led ministry? You know those people who are always looking for trouble. Always finding bad relationships. Can't hold a job. Seem to repeat the same terrible patterns week after week month after month year after year. Maybe that's you right now. Maybe you're thinking you can't find the right job. Can't find a good relationship. Wondering why all the good people are taken. Here's what's really happening. You've trained your brain in a negative way to go looking for these things. Maybe it's based on trauma. Maybe it's from one bad experience that convinced you all experiences in that situation will be the same. Maybe you just had some bad luck a couple times and now you think that's how life works. You've created this story. Playing this movie in your mind where you already know the ending. Your thoughts train your brain to see what you want to see in your life. When you create space to think about the right outcomes over and over your brain starts influencing your actions. That's intention. You have to create this space to continually train your brain. For me it's working out four to five times a week. Thinking about that outcome every single time. Your life might not be stupid if you look for things that aren't stupid. Think about one outcome right now. Keep thinking about it in whatever space you create for yourself. Think about it over and over and over again. Train your brain. Influence your actions. That's how you break the pattern.Connect:Connect with Rick: https://linktr.ee/mrrickjordanSubscribe & Review to ALL IN with Rick Jordan on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/RickJordanALLIN
Ep. 338: Jessica Kiang on Locarno 2025: The Best of the Postwar British Retrospective + Becoming Welcome to The Last Thing I Saw, with your host, Nicolas Rapold. This week I'm reporting from the Locarno film festival, which every year has an outstanding retrospective that's a parallel essential to the premieres of new films. To discuss this year's retro, a deftly curated tribute to British postwar cinema called Great Expectations, I'm joined by a regular guest, critic and programmer Jessica Kiang, who is filing reviews for Variety but also, like me, inhaling swathes of this retrospective. Titles discussed include Obsession (1949, Edward Dmytryk), The Yellow Balloon (1953, J. Lee Thompson), It Always Rains on Sundays (1947, Robert Hamer), Turn the Key Softly (1953, Jack Lee), To Be a Woman (1951, Jill Craigie), The Elephant Never Forgets (1953, John Krish), Train of Events (1949, Sidney Cole, Charles Crichton, Basil Dearden), Passport to Pimlico (1949, Henry Cornelius), The Happiest Days of Your Life (1950, Frank Launder), Time Without Pity (1957, Joseph Losey), and Never Let Go (1960, John Guillermin). In this episode, we confront a chilling reality: unvetted individuals crossing the U.S. border, instructed to destroy their documentation, leaving us clueless about who they are. Is this a calculated move? You bet it is. From fentanyl and meth labs to human and child sex trafficking, the collusion between Chinese organized crime and Mexican cartels is fueling a crisis that's spiraling out of control. Are these just drug operations, or is there a more sinister, operative component—perhaps tied to terrorism? John's seen it firsthand, from the grow houses poisoning our lands to the narco takeover of rural communities like Siskiyou County. We'll also touch on John's journey, from his faith-driven resilience to surviving over 20 life-threatening encounters in cartel grow operations. Plus, we'll explore the Second Amendment, the pitfalls of restrictive gun laws, and why self-reliance is more critical than ever in today's volatile world. What new formats and practices best transmit Art du Déplacement's culture—beyond technique—so practitioners can reflect, connect, and grow together? Art du Déplacement's culture is deepened through «partage», reflective practice formats, and distinctive training like vision work and night missions. "Still, I had the fear, but I knew where I was, where I was going, [and] how— I knew myself better, basically. So this very strong experience with my friends, and this strong experience of failure— That was really an in between moment for me. […]There is before that training session at the «Dame du Lac» experiencing all this. And then there is me discovering more about my inner self and being very different in the way I approach fear." ~ Stany Foucher (1:33:00) The discussion frames Art du Déplacement as a living culture rather than simply a set of techniques. Stany's recently published, French-language book is highlighted as a deliberate choice, made with the awareness that language shapes who can engage with the ideas. (Craig and Stany hope that an English translation can eventually be created which captures the subtlety and depth of the material.) The strengths of books—slower pacing and deeper digestion—are compared to the reach and immediacy of video. This leads to exploring audio as a practice medium, with the idea of podcast-led movement sessions modeled on audio yoga classes. The conversation also touches on the value of building shared reference points across the community, so practitioners in different places can connect through common experiences. Practice design is a recurring theme. The Movers Mindset Pause project is discussed as a way to help practitioners form a cycle from discovery to reflection to change. Coaching is discussed as more than sets and repetitions, incorporating environment, questioning, and reframing experiences. Public-space QM is described as a way to normalize human movement in busy urban settings, reducing self-consciousness and building autonomy. The pair note the importance of training “vision” as a standalone capacity, distinct from fear management or technical skill. "Maybe one thing that I'm trying to focus on sometimes is this vision element of the discipline. Vision is really a topic by itself. If you just try to be in an analyzing mode, you know, trying to analyze the environment and be— not measuring, but just feeling— not for the sake of techniques, but just vision for vision. Maybe new things can arise." ~ Stany Foucher (58:00) They describe silent, “night missions” where participants select a distant, barely visible endpoint and navigate to it without touching the ground, focusing on presence, creative pathfinding, and trajectory rather than named techniques. Other modalities—lifting, carrying, climbing, and playing on varied terrain—are folded into practice to broaden capacity. Social aspects like shared meals, walks, and storytelling are recognized as essential for transmitting culture, complementing formal training. "But something that I really get, also from those years of training, and maybe you don't see it is, all the questioning behind it. I cannot think of a training that would not end with a question— [an] open question from—especially from Jann [Hnautra]—just reflecting on what you did. Why were you in that state of mind when we're doing this movement? Why did you want to stop when you were doing the QM? Lots of questions and reflecting on what you did. I think this is an important piece of the training." ~ Stany Foucher (28:00) Personal philosophy surfaces through parenting analogies—providing environments where children retain innate movement abilities—and a formative story of a major failure that marked a clear “before and after” in approaching fear. The conversation closes with reflections on building community connection despite geographic distance, testing new formats for sharing practice, and maintaining a loop where ideas, movement, and reflection continually reinforce each other. Takeaways Language shapes reach — Choosing French vs. English determines who can read, hear, and benefit. Books slow the pace — A book supports digestion of concepts that video often rushes past. Podcast as training — Audio sessions can guide live movement for listeners who learn by hearing. Build a reflection loop — Journaling and the Pause practice embed discovery to reflection to efficacy. Coaching beyond technique — The value includes questions, environment, and pointing in the right direction. Normalize movement in public — Holding QM sessions in busy spaces reduces self-consciousness and increases autonomy. Train vision explicitly — Treat “vision” as its own topic, not only fear or technique. Use night missions — Silent, goal-directed traversals cultivate presence and creative pathfinding. Mix natural modalities — Lifting, carrying, climbing, and terrain play (rocks, slopes) broaden practice. «Partage» matters — Sharing stories, meals, and walks transmits culture that classes alone can't. Parenting reframes coaching — Provide safe environments so kids don't lose what they already have. Failure as inflection point — A hard setback created a clear “before/after” in approach to fear. In this episode of Coach to Scale, we sit down with Sriharsha "Sai" Guduguntla, co-founder of Hyperbound, to unpack one of the most pressing challenges in revenue leadership: the coaching crisis. Despite billions invested in enablement tools, most frontline managers still spend less than 5% of their time actually coaching, and it's costing teams deals, confidence, and retention. Sai shares how Hyperbound is redefining sales practice by enabling reps to roleplay high-stakes calls, objections, and negotiations using AI before they ever speak to a real prospect.Sai and host Matt Benelli explore why traditional training doesn't stick, how to coach the iPhone generation, and why AI-driven feedback is the key to scalable performance improvement. From building reps' confidence to reducing CAC, shortening ramp time, and even coaching managers themselves, this conversation delivers practical insight for CROs and GTM leaders committed to leveling up their teams. If you think having Gong means you're coaching, think again.Key Takeaways1. Coaching is broken, and leaders know it.Most frontline managers spend less than 5% of their time coaching, and even if they admit it's not enough, despite having tools like Gong or Chorus.2. Owning tools doesn't mean using them.Just because you've bought sales tech doesn't mean your team is getting value from it; usage and enablement are two different things.3. Reps are practicing on real prospects, and that's a problem.Without structured practice environments, reps learn in live selling situations, losing deals and confidence in the process.4. AI enables real, scalable practice.Hyperbound uses AI to let reps roleplay discovery, objections, and negotiations with instant feedback, so they improve before going live.5. Training decay is real 87% is forgotten in a month.Sai shares how Hyperbound clients are replacing costly SKOs and one-off trainings with ongoing practice that reinforces key skills year-round.6. Feedback should be immediate, not delayed.Instead of waiting weeks for one-on-one feedback, reps using AI tools can instantly iterate and refine their performance after each session.7. AI coaching is objective and data-backed.AI removes bias by evaluating reps consistently, benchmarking them against top performers, and identifying real improvement areas.8. Confidence is often the root blocker to performance.A lack of confidence, not skill, is what holds many reps back from picking up the phone; Hyperbound helps reps build that confidence safely.9. Managers need coaching too.Hyperbound doesn't just coach reps, it also trains managers by simulating coaching conversations and giving feedback on their effectiveness.10. Culture matters more than tools.Without leadership buy-in and a true coaching culture, even the best tools won't lead to behavior change; some orgs just aren't ready.

Just finished your race season? Don't jump straight into base training! September-October is actually PRIME TIME for targeting your biggest limiters and making breakthrough improvements. With your peak fitness still in the bank from racing, this crucial 8-week window lets you focus on quality sessions without race stress - whether that's getting explosive with anaerobic power, experimenting with new threshold intervals like over-unders, or trying constant power VO2 max work instead of your usual 30/30s. It's the perfect time to experiment with volume, cadence, equipment changes, and push your limits when you have the mental bandwidth to truly focus. Remember: base training needs 3-4 focused months, not endless zone 2, so use this time to squeeze that extra 1% out of your season! Amanda Agati, chief investment officer at PNC Asset Management Group, says that with the purple haze of fiscal policy uncertainty and tariffs having lifted, the "pace of natural advancement" doesn't have a lot of room left in 2025, but after a slower grind into the end of the year, she thinks that 2026 "is shaping up to be an acceleration type of a year." She expects broader stock market participation to help with that, though she says that breadth will extend to the 493 stocks that are in the Standard & Poor's 500 but not the Magnificent Seven, rather than to small caps. Agati also said that the international rally thus far this year is likely to slow significantly. David Trainer of New Constructs put "unattractive asset managers" in the Danger Zone this week, and singled out Virtus Investment Partners as a prime example, saying it wasn't just that the money manager has a suite of mostly unattractive funds, but that its results as a stock could get ugly too. Ted Rossman, senior industry analyst at BankRate.com discusses the site's back-to-school shopping survey, which surprisingly showed that fewer Americans are saying that school shopping is putting pressure on their finances this year. One reason why is that shoppers say they have changed some of the ways they shop in response to higher inflation. Plus, in the intro segment, Chuck discusses his experience with a warranty program — something he normally disdains and avoids — that started out looking ugly, but wound up with a happy ending.
On the morning of 18 January 1977, Blue Mountains commuters boarded their usual train, expecting nothing more than another routine ride to work. Instead, the Granville train disaster became Australia's deadliest rail accident. When a commuter train derailed and slammed into a road bridge, the collapse that followed trapped dozens in a nightmare of twisted metal and rubble. Rescue crews fought against the clock, and the nation watched in horror as the death toll rose.Join Holly & Matthew as they revisit the events of that day — what went wrong, the incredible acts of bravery, and the lasting changes it brought to Australian rail safety.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/weird-crap-in-australia--2968350/support.

In this empowering episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, we dive into the psychology of success with bestselling sci-fi author Jenny Ahmed. This conversation isn't just about writing or fiction—it's about mastering your mindset, aligning with your personality, and unlocking the real secret to goal-setting: self-awareness. Jenny shares how her understanding of her unique wiring has allowed her to write multiple novels at once, overcome procrastination, and stay motivated. Together, we discuss the difference between blind positivity and empowered thinking, how optimism can be built like a muscle, and why hope is a practical tool—not a fluffy ideal. If you've ever hit a roadblock and questioned your potential, this episode will offer real-world tools to reframe failure, build esteem, and find resilience—especially when you're at your lowest. Whether you're a creative, entrepreneur, or just trying to get unstuck, this is a conversation that bridges neuroscience, personality, and practical positivity to move you forward. ABOUT THE GUEST Jenny Ahmed is a bestselling science fiction novelist with a background in medicine, genetics, and astrobiology. Her books center on strong female protagonists facing dystopian challenges, using her fiction as a vehicle to teach survival, leadership, and mental clarity. She empowers women through both storytelling and actionable insights into resilience and mindset. KEY TAKEAWAYS Self-awareness is the first step to productivity: Jennifer shares how knowing her working style helped her write multiple novels simultaneously. Your personality should guide your goal-setting. Procrastination is a delay, not a stop sign: Recognize the patterns, then work through them. SMART goals work best when aligned with your wiring: Measurable goals paired with intrinsic motivation create lasting impact. Optimism is built through hope and habit: Everyone has hope inside them. Train your brain to notice the positive and your actions will follow. Failure is timing, not finality: If it hasn't happened yet, it doesn't mean it won't. Sometimes, it's just not the right season. Self-esteem is built through esteemable acts: Doing small good deeds boosts self-worth and sets the stage for goal achievement. Remember what it feels like to have something to prove? To show your family—and yourself—that age hasn't dimmed your spirit? That's exactly what drove me to orchestrate one of the most exhilarating motorcycle adventures of my life: purchasing Amtrak tickets for my family's westbound journey through the Rocky Mountains, then chasing that train along parallel country roads on my motorcycle while they watched and filmed from the windows. The pure joy on my eight-year-old grandson's face as he spotted his sixty-something "Papa" racing alongside their train was worth every mile. This wasn't just about showing off—it was about creating a memory that might someday become family legend, a story he'll hopefully tell his own children about his grandfather who truly embraced life's adventures. This experience perfectly captures what makes riding country roads so magical. Whether paved or dirt, these lesser-traveled paths offer a unique form of soul therapy you simply can't find on highways. The moment your tires hit loose gravel, time slows down. You're no longer just passing through a landscape; you're becoming part of it—breathing in pine-scented air, feeling the earth beneath your wheels, and experiencing a meditative connection to nature that washes away the stresses of modern life. Like John Denver's iconic "Country Roads," these journeys represent more than just physical travel; they're pathways to rediscovering joy, peace, and that essential spark that keeps us feeling alive regardless of our age. Why not take the road less traveled on your next ride? The memories you create just might last generations.

Pete Carroll and the Las Vegas Raiders came into town to match up against Mike Macdonald's squad with Klint Kubiak calling the plays on offense. We get into our key takeaways on the new look offense and the rookies who stood out. Despite the announcement that veteran starters would not play, we saw Abe Lucas on the field at right tackle and up against Maxx Crosby on the other side of the ball. Tory Horton got into the end zone in his first outing, Grey Zabel dominated a former SEC lineman that he was matched up against for majority of his snaps, Robbie Ouzts made a key block on a touchdown run, and Jalen Milroe showed off his wheels and some accuracy on a rollout pass near the goal line. For those who tuned in, we heard your live reaction and why some listeners though the outcome was meant to be. Support the show Get in the Flock! Surviving 2.5 Hell Weeks and 6 BUD/S Attempts | Ep. 251 In this episode of the Mike Drop Podcast, John Collins delivers an unfiltered, brutally honest account of what it really takes to become a Navy SEAL—and what happens when the dream nearly dies. This isn't your typical war story. It's about failing hard, facing humiliation, and coming back swinging. Raised by a hard-charging state trooper in small-town Maryland, John always knew structure. What he didn't know was how far he'd have to go—how much he'd have to lose—before finally earning the Trident. From getting dropped at BUD/S to guarding terrorists in Guantanamo Bay, John's journey is a masterclass in grit, redemption, and what it means to serve with purpose even when the path doesn't go according to plan. Through multiple Hell Weeks, soul-crushing setbacks, and years of grinding through Navy politics, John fought like hell to get back into SEAL training. And he made it. But what happened after is just as powerful. From sniper to breacher to K9 handler, to a complete reinvention in civilian life—John proves that purpose doesn't end with a uniform. ---------- Heartland Steak Stock up with a custom steak box or grab a grill-ready bundle —either way, you're getting the best.
