Kevin Hassett is the director of the National Economic Council and arguably the economist closest to President Donald Trump. Right now, he's also one of the top advisers tasked with explaining the economic fallout of the government shutdown and forging a path forward. Hassett joins POLITICO's Dasha Burns for this week's episode of The Conversation, where he talks about the shutdown standoff on Capitol Hill, when Americans should start feeling the benefits of Trump's big tax bill and how the trade wars may affect the midterms.  “The really striking thing is that the place where the tariff policy effects should be the worst is the time right now where we have almost 4 percent growth and low inflation,” Hassett says. “We're very, very optimistic about how this policy is working and what it's gonna look like.” And, Hassett digs into the buzz surrounding whether or not he will be Trump's pick to replace Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.  Plus, Shark Tank judge and investor Kevin O'Leary comes on the show to explain why he's bullish on the TikTok deal news, bearish on the federal government's investment in Intel and how he's grading Trump 2.0's economic performance so far.

AI Browser War: Perplexity Goes Free, U.S. Cybersecurity Law Expires, Apple Eyes Intel Investment

Perplexity has made a significant move by dropping the price of its AI browser, Comet, from $200 a month to free, igniting what could be an AI browser war. This decision aims to help users navigate the overwhelming amount of low-quality online content by providing tools to summarize web pages and extract key information. A $5 monthly subscription will offer access to content from reputable media outlets, as Perplexity seeks to establish fair revenue-sharing practices with publishers. This shift comes amid ongoing legal challenges regarding content use, but the company emphasizes its commitment to high-quality sources. The recent U.S. government shutdown has led to the expiration of the Cybersecurity and Information Sharing Act of 2015, raising concerns about the future of cybersecurity collaboration. This law provided essential protections for organizations sharing cyber threat intelligence, and its absence is expected to hinder effective incident response. Experts warn that organizations may become more cautious about sharing vital information without the legal protections previously afforded, potentially increasing the risk of cyber attacks as adversaries exploit the disruption. In the tech industry, rumors are circulating about a potential investment deal between Apple and Intel, which raises questions about the future of the chip manufacturer. Apple, having previously transitioned away from Intel chips for its MacBooks, is now considering a collaboration that could see Intel manufacturing chips for Apple's data centers or producing Apple-designed chips. Meanwhile, Apple appears to be stepping back from its Vision Pro headset, which has not gained significant traction in the market, and is instead focusing on developing more affordable smart glasses.Managed service providers (MSPs) are at a critical junction as AI transitions from a luxury to a necessity. A significant portion of organizations lack policies to manage AI adoption effectively, creating both risks and opportunities for service providers. As clients demand faster resolutions and strategic insights, MSPs must modernize their services and establish governance to ensure AI delivers measurable value. The podcast emphasizes the importance of embedding AI capabilities into services rather than selling it as a standalone product, urging providers to focus on delivering outcomes that clients cannot achieve elsewhere.Four things to know today00:00 Perplexity Makes AI Browser Comet Free, Challenging Chrome, Safari, and Edge03:41 U.S. Shutdown Weakens Cyber Defense as Info-Sharing Law Expires, While NIST Races to Build Cyber AI Framework07:09 Apple Rumored to Invest in Intel Amid U.S. Chip Push, While Retreating From Vision Pro in Favor of Smart Glasses10:12 AI Is Becoming the Airline Business: Why MSPs Must Embed Capability, Not Sell Commodity This is the Business of Tech.    Supported by:  https://mailprotector.com/https://timezest.com/mspradio/ Webinar:  https://bit.ly/msprmail  All our Sponsors: https://businessof.tech/sponsors/ Do you want the show on your podcast app or the written versions of the stories? In this episode, AJ and Johnny unpack the science of body language and embodied cognition—how standing tall, opening your chest, and taking up space sends powerful signals to your brain and to everyone around you. TSP #2213 — Kerry Cassidy (Tonight 6 PM ET) Kerry Cassidy is the founder and driving force behind Project Camelot, one of the most influential platforms in the truth and disclosure community. Since 2006, she has pioneered a bold and independent style of journalism, conducting guerilla-style interviews with whistleblowers, insiders, experiencers, and researchers on the front lines of black projects, advanced technology, UFOs, and covert operations. Through Project Camelot, Kerry has given countless voices a platform when few others would, building an unparalleled archive of testimony that has shaped and inspired the global alternative research community. Her work is marked by persistence, fearlessness, and a deep commitment to seeking truth outside the boundaries of mainstream narratives. With over a decade of investigations and hundreds of interviews spanning intelligence operatives, military insiders, scientists, and experiencers, Kerry continues to be recognized as a trailblazer in the field of disclosure and an unwavering advocate for free speech in the digital age. False Flag or Real Hit? Kerry Cassidy on Charlie Kirk, White Hats, Juan O'Savin & The Union of Opposites Tonight, Rob digs into Kerry Cassidy's latest claims about the Charlie Kirk incident—alleged doubles, witness protection, and a larger white-hat operations storyline. We'll cover why she believes the footage is altered, her open message to “Juan/JFK Jr.”, and how “union of opposites” fits her framework for ending the control matrix. Plus wider currents: Anunnaki geopolitics, Trump, and information warfare in 2025. Bring your questions live. Why Kerry thinks the Kirk video is altered + the “ring changes hands” clue. “Charlie alive/faked death” and the role of doubles. “Letter to Juan (JFK Jr.)” and her demand for full disclosure. “Union of Opposites” & psy-op de-escalation through truth. How this ties to her broader ET/Anunnaki geopolitics lens. Are you looking to save time, make money, and start winning with less risk? Then head to https://www.ovtlyr.com.SoFi stock just crashed hard, dropping over 10% in a single session, and the big question is: what do you do if you're holding shares? In this video we break down the warning signs that could have saved traders from heavy losses, the technical red flags flashing across the chart, and why sticking to proven signals with OVTLYR helps you avoid getting caught in a free fall.We start by analyzing SoFi's chart and the sell signals that fired off before the collapse. Order blocks showed clear resistance overhead while no support was in sight. On top of that, the 10 EMA and 20 EMA weren't just broken, they were crushed, confirming that the short-term and intermediate trends had flipped bearish. Add in the 50/80 rule—where 50% of the time a stock like this can fall 80%—and the risk was obvious to anyone following the data.➡️ Learn how order blocks reveal resistance zones and why lack of support signals danger➡️ See why SoFi's moving average breakdown was a massive red flag➡️ Understand how the 50/80 rule plays out in real-world trades➡️ Discover why buying dips in crashing stocks is a losing strategy➡️ Get the simple trend template OVTLYR traders use to confirm entries and exitsThis episode also dives into trading psychology. Many investors convince themselves that “the market is wrong” when a stock like SoFi drops. But the market is never wrong. Price is truth, and your job is to follow the wave, not fight it. That's why patience and discipline matter—waiting for stocks that are crashing up instead of catching falling knives that destroy your account. We also compare SoFi to names like AMD, Tesla, and others that show what happens when you ignore exit signals. These examples prove that even the strongest rallies can evaporate quickly, and the only way to protect your gains is by having a plan. Averaging down might feel like a strategy, but it ties up your money for months with no guarantee of recovery. Averaging up when the trend is confirmed is where the real profits are made.Beyond SoFi, we look at opportunities across the market using OVTLYR's plans: Plan M, Plan A, and Plan ETF. With the S&P and Nasdaq showing mixed signals, sometimes the smartest move is simply sitting in cash. Other times, ETF strategies shine by capturing broader uptrends with lower stress. And when the signals line up, individual names like Intel, Zscaler, and Datadog show traders exactly how to time their moves with confidence. If you've been burned holding stocks through massive drops, this video is for you. You'll see why trusting signals, following the trend template, and using OVTLYR to confirm setups is the smarter way to trade. Stop guessing, stop hoping, and start trading with rules that protect your capital.Gain instant access to the AI-powered tools and behavioral insights top traders use to spot big moves before the crowd. David and Brad sit down with John Geoghegan, a former conservative warrior from the Gingrich Revolution days who's done a complete political 180. What starts as a nostalgic trip down memory lane—reminiscing about the old cable access show "One Sunday"—quickly turns into a spirited debate about government ownership of private companies, the Russia investigation, lawfare, and whether political prosecutions are ever justified.John argues that Trump represents a dangerous departure from conservative principles, while David and Brad push back on the manufactured Russia collusion narrative and selective application of legal standards. The trio wrestles with tough questions: When does government investment in companies cross the line into socialism? Was the FBI's handling of the Russia investigation a legitimate concern or partisan witch hunt? And why do political tribes selectively apply their principles depending on whose ox is being gored? From the banking bailouts to Intel warrants, from Mike Flynn's prosecution to Trump's fraud cases, this episode examines how both sides weaponize institutions when it serves their purposes—and how intellectual consistency has become the rarest commodity in modern politics. Whether you think Trump is democracy's savior or its greatest threat, this conversation offers a master class in how former allies can end up on opposite sides of the political divide while still managing to have a civil (kind of) conversation about it.

In this episode of The Tech Leader's Playbook, Avetis Antaplyan sits down with Radhika Dutt—MIT-trained engineer, entrepreneur, and author of Radical Product Thinking, to rethink how high-growth companies set direction and measure progress. Radhika explains why traditional goal systems (KPIs/OKRs) often incentivize “performance theater,” tracing their lineage from Drucker's MBOs to Andy Grove to today's playbooks—and why they're mismatched to modern, creative work. She introduces OHLs (Objectives, Hypotheses, Learnings) and a “puzzle setting/puzzle solving” culture that pushes teams to interrogate bad numbers, not hide them. Along the way she names common “product diseases” (HERO syndrome, obsessive sales disorder, pivotitis, strategic swelling, Narcissus complex) and shows how a clear, testable vision prevents whiplash pivots. A standout case study: at Signal Ocean, reframing the challenge for tech-averse users helped double sales in 2024 and again in 2025 while reducing churn from 26% to 4%. Leaders also get a practical script for better reviews (“How well is it working? What did we learn? What will we try next?”) and a reminder to build experimentation muscles before a crisis. The result is a rigorous, human approach to strategy that replaces vanity metrics with compounding learning.TakeawaysOKRs often reward optics over insight, encouraging “performance theater.”Use a concrete vision that states the problem, audience, status quo, desired end state, and product's role.Shift from “hit the target” to puzzle setting so teams feel invited to solve the right problems.Run on OHLs: Objectives, Hypotheses, Learnings to measure deeply and learn publicly.Watch for “product diseases” like HERO syndrome, obsessive sales disorder, pivotitis, strategic swelling, and the Narcissus complex.Pivot with gravitas by stating what was wrong, what you learned, and what you'll try next.Case study: at Signal Ocean, reframing for tech-averse users unlocked adoption, doubled sales year over year, and reduced churn.OKRs trace back to MBOs, which fit repetitive work but struggle with today's creative, uncertain problems.Leaders should act like detectives, not judges to create psychological safety for honest learning.Introduce OHLs inside your current cadence before replacing existing processes.Spread market insight beyond the founder so teams can challenge assumptions and stay aligned.Start with the segment that has the most urgent need, then expand intentionally.Chapters00:00 Intro & Why Targets Mislead01:27 Radhika's Path and Early Lessons03:41 Hitting Numbers vs. Reality on the Ground05:31 “Product Diseases” That Derail Strategy07:51 Writing a Vision You Can Execute09:49 The Wine Startup Example and Narcissus Complex13:07 Pivotitis and How to Pivot with Gravitas16:34 Translating Vision into Actionable Experiments17:44 Why Goals Alone Don't Work20:03 A Short History of OKRs and Their Limits24:43 From Targets to Puzzles: Reframing Stalled Sales26:50 OHLs: Objectives, Hypotheses, Learnings29:14 Running Better Reviews: Three Questions35:31 Case Study: Signal Ocean's Tech-Averse Users39:55 Outcomes: Doubling Sales and Reducing Churn41:58 Intel's Lesson: Experimentation Beats Goal Mechanics47:58 Detectives, Not Judges: Building a Learning Culture50:06 How to Start Tomorrow with OHLs59:37 Don't Do Founder Mode; Spread Insight01:03:18 Closing Notes & ResourcesRadhika Dutt's Social Media Links:https://www.linkedin.com/in/radhika-dutt/Radhika Dutt's Websites:https://www.radicalproduct.com/https://rdutt.com/Resources and Links:https://www.hireclout.comhttps://www.podcast.hireclout.comhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/hirefasthireright

Donate (no account necessary) | Subscribe (account required) Join Bryan Dean Wright, former CIA Operations Officer, as he dives into today's top stories shaping America and the world. In this episode of The Wright Report, we cover Trump's proposed Gaza peace plan, a mysterious U.S. tanker deployment to Europe, the Pentagon's scramble for missiles and drones in a possible China war, and Russia and China's unraveling fortunes in Africa. From a potential breakthrough in the Middle East to covert battles in Africa's deserts, today's brief explores the fights shaping America's security.   Trump's Gaza Peace Plan Gains Arab Backing: For the first time since the October 7 attacks, Israel, Trump, and key Arab nations have united behind a deal. Hamas must release hostages, disarm, or go into exile while Gaza governance shifts to a Peace Board overseen by Trump and regional leaders. “This is basically the final offer to Hamas: accept it or death,” Bryan explains. Even Arab allies like Qatar and Saudi Arabia have signed on, leaving Iran isolated.   U.S. Tankers Deploy to Europe, Iran or Russia in the Crosshairs: Twelve U.S. refueling tankers flew to Britain, echoing prelude movements before Trump's strike on Iran earlier this year. Possibilities include targeting Iran's Pick-Axe Mountain nuclear site, sending a warning to Putin after drones crossed NATO skies, or simply NATO's Cobra Warrior exercise. Bryan notes, “Intel officers always ask, is the juice worth the squeeze?”   Pentagon Short on Missiles and Drones for China: The U.S. has burned through a quarter of its missile interceptors and lags years behind on drone programs. Chinese subcontractors are even supplying critical parts for American weapons. Trump is pushing a mineral war strategy to rebuild U.S. supply chains. Bryan warns, “We don't have the cards for a quick victory in Taiwan,” and Zelenskyy is offering U.S. training in exchange for Tomahawk missiles Washington can barely spare.   Russia and China Struggle in Africa's Sahel: Islamist rebels are killing Russian contractors and Chinese workers across Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso. Moscow's Africa Corps has failed to protect regimes after Wagner's collapse, while Beijing's mines and projects are under attack. Elon Musk's Starlink is fueling rebel communications, and some suspect CIA or Ukrainian forces may be quietly aiding the insurgents. Bryan admits, “I can absolutely envision a scenario where a CIA officer recruits an al Qaeda scumbag to kill Russians and Chinese for us.”   "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32     Keywords: Trump Gaza peace plan Hamas exile, Israel Arab nations Gaza board, Hamas hostages prisoner swap, U.S. refueling tankers Britain Iran strike, Pick-Axe Mountain nuclear site, NATO Cobra Warrior exercise, Pentagon missile shortage drones, Chinese subcontractors U.S. weapons, Trump mineral wars tungsten antimony, Zelenskyy drone deal Tomahawk missiles, Russia Africa Corps failure Wagner, China mines rebels Mali Niger Burkina Faso, Elon Musk Starlink jihadist comms, CIA recruit al Qaeda assets Africa

We need to stop right now and take a 30K foot level view of Charlie Kirk's assassination. Why did they do it? And why do they want us in the weeds focusing on small details. It's becoming crystal clear that The CIA and three letter agency connections to the Charlie Kirk assassination are growing too obvious to ignore at this point. Use Tyler Robinson as a patsy, use a convenient trans cover story, admit that you have overwhelming digital data during a court hearing yesterday, ask for a delay because there's just too much Digital evidence against Tyler. The CIA is really good at planting digital evidence. Allow cameras in the courtroom to help sell your story. Former CIA agents and CIA whistleblowers are admitting this has all the hallmarks of a CIA or Intel operation.

Conrad Smith of Graphite Connect talks about building a network to create global efficiency, speeding up communication; and bringing you data you can trust.   IN THIS EPISODE WE DISCUSS:   [03.42] Conrad's background and career journey. “I got to Intel and they were doing procurement with paper – white, pink, yellow triplicate requisitions… it blew my mind! Intel in the 90s was THE powerhouse tech company… I showed up, and they were doing paper. That started my career into: ‘Let's figure out how to make it better.'” [06.15] How and why Conrad established Graphite Connect. “What's the difference between a fax machine and email? It isn't the same magnitude of improvement as snail mail to fax machine. It's not a printed piece of paper, it shows up in an inbox electronic, but it's kind of the same thing. And we've got to figure out how to move past that one-to-one sharing of information. We're stuck.” [14.19] An overview of Graphite Connect – who they are, what they do, and how they help their customers. “Supplier management starts with onboarding. And that step is what everyone is struggling the most with.” [18.50] The ideal client for Graphite Connect. [22.01] The biggest challenges impacting Graphite Connect customers, whether procurement can keep up with the pace of modern business, and why supplier risk and data are the ‘biggest hairball' in procurement. “Business friction is a real problem. But you can't just evaporate it, because there are suppliers and situations where risk is a significant concern. You do need friction in some places.” [27.18] Why paperwork, legal, and compliance can make it almost impossible to establish new relationships and do business, and how Graphite Connect can help ease that pressure. [34.11] Graphite Connect's Rapid Response feature, how it helps to speed up communication, and why that's so crucial. “Things happen: most recently, tariffs. And the first thing that happened was that executive teams said: ‘Which of our suppliers are most impacted by tariffs, and what does that look like?' The answer is: ‘I don't know, call procurement.'” [38.10] A case study exploring how Graphite Connect helped a grocery store chain cut down time spent on their supplier management process by 75%, reduce labor, and improve data quality. [41.26] The big AI misconception, and the best way to prepare for the future of AI now. “AI eats data, it lives on it. Data is what makes it work. And I think there's a false belief that AI is going to fix it, like: 'I have an AI magic wand and all of a sudden I'll have clean supplier data.' But it's not going to work that way.” RESOURCES AND LINKS MENTIONED:   Head over to Graphite Connect's website now to find out more and discover how they could help you too.
