Ending "Energy Poverty" is a passion of mine. Elevating out of poverty requires low-cost, sustainable kWh delivered to homes. The global push to destroy the energy sector in the name of gaining more control is, in a word, "despicable.I had the pleasure of interviewing Doomberg, the global energy leader, on Substack two other times before today's episode with Chris Wright, CEO of Liberty Energy. We covered some great topics, and I am very grateful for their time.A little inside baseball, I had met Chris Wright several times in Colorado and was truly impacted by his passion for ending energy poverty. It totally has changed the Energy News Beat podcast and website's mission. The Liberty Energy program "Bettering Human Lives" is a fantastic resource; please read it HERE: https://libertyenergy.com/esg/bettering-human-lives/.Chris and his team have done a phenomenal job with Liberty Energy's total energy package. Check out everything on Liberty Energy HERE: https://libertyenergy.com/Please follow Doomberg on his Substack https://doomberg.substack.com/His Substack is one of the best I follow and read. His thought-provoking industry leadership has to be shared. I loved the live interview with David Blackmon at NAPE. A lot of people asked for Doomberg's autograph and wanted to meet him. This is an absolute blast, as the Doomberg team is anonymous and makes podcast interviews available with the cartoon branded "Green Chicken." It is classic!! You have to watch our podcast to believe it.Thank you again, Chris and Doomberg, for your industry leadership, and keep up the great work. Your impact on humanity is important, and you may never know how many lives you can impact, but rest assured, you are running down the right road. - StuA shout-out to David Blackmon, Michael Tanner, and Rey Trevino for their leadership and bringing some sanity to our mixed-up energy world.Highlights of the Podcast00:00 - Intro02:35 - Advocating for zero energy poverty by 2050 due to current challenges.06:00 - Concerns raised about censorship in energy discussions.11:37 - Financing Net Zero poses challenges, emphasizing diverse energy sources.15:23 - Critique of Germany's energy policies for causing de-industrialization.21:08 - California's policies lead to high poverty rates despite potential.22:30 - Electrification and shifting to natural gas offer cost savings and cleaner options.24:05 - The Shale Revolution, particularly in natural gas, transforms US energy.25:52 - Switching to compressed natural gas addresses oil shortages and emissions.28:51 - Streamlining US regulations can create jobs and decarbonize.31:08 - Challenges hinder India's energy growth, while Mexico offers manufacturing opportunities.33:41 - Geopolitical risks impact the energy market's future.34:52 - The US can increase energy production in hydrocarbons and nuclear, solidifying global dominance.36:13 - OutroFor the full podcast on the Energy News Beat website: https://energynewsbeat.co/enb-200-doomberg-and-chris-wright-energy-conflicts-and-solutions-integrating-global-dynamics-finance-and-policy/Check out the Energy News Beat Substack: https://theenergynewsbeat.substack.com/

Welcome to episode 54 of the Deskbound Therapy podcast. Today we have a returning guest, Founder of TFT Fitness, motivational speaker, and certified gains master, Steve McCollum. We talk about staying on track with your fitness routines, goal setting, and how to stay consistent with it during the holidays. He also shares tips about getting back on track even when you fail this time of year and how to deal with negative self-talk.Steve's bio:Born and raised in Brampton, Ontario, Steve was always passionate about sports and training. Growing up as one of six children in a single-parent household, playing high-level sports wasn't possible without outside support. This inspired the vision of the Gains Gang. Growing up playing hockey, Steve eventually found a passion for football and earned himself a scholarship to Bishop's University. A strong work ethic combined with the passion for inspiring and leading others led him to be named a team captain. When asked how he got into health and fitness, Steve responded, “I was always a leader; I loved to help others be the best versions of themselves. In College, I would help the young guys coming up under me with technique in the weight room and nutrition". He originally started his Fitness Journey as The Football Trainer on Instagram in 2013 while playing Football at Bishop's: "I just wanted to help young football players train the way I wish someone had taught me to.” After realizing the severity of his concussion injuries sustained from football, Steve was heartbroken to walk away from his childhood dreams of playing professionally. "I decided if I could not achieve my dream, I would do everything I could to help others achieve theirs.” TFT Fitness was born in 2014.Reach out:Web: https://tftgainsgang.com/IG: https://www.instagram.com/tft_fitness/Show notes:[1:38] The biggest mistake people make this time of year[3:10] Falling off track by not having the right program[3:47] How he advocates staying to track during the holidays[5:33] Workout duration and goal setting[7:43] Staying consistent and surrounding yourself with like-minded people[12:00] Staying accountable by connecting with people[14:45] Set tangible goals[17:18] How specific should your goals be?[19:56] It's all about consistency[21:44] Adhering to the program despite falling off track[24:44] A quick testimonial from one of my clients[26:05] Falling in love with the process[27:51] Trying new things and finding what you love to do[30:37] Dealing with negative self-talk[34:43] Using social media to empower you and own your mistakes[37:55] Prioritize and take action[43:47] Balance out your expectations with the amount of work you put in[45:48] Nugget of advice[48:40] OutroFor online coaching inquiries and questions about my online programs, connect with me below.IG: https://www.instagram.com/DeskboundTherapyEmail: David@deskboundtherapy.comApply for Mobility Coaching: https://bit.ly/DBTCoaching2021

She also shares a glimpse of how and why she started specializing in lower back pain, her biggest challenges, and how exactly does her program work.Dr. Emma Whelpton infuses the spirit of yoga into her chiropractic work to empower her patients to live their happiest and healthiest lives. Her top values as a business are happiness, health, and freedom and promote living a more natural, toxic-free life. She wanted to communicate a light and stress-free approach to health care with her brand photoshoot and showcase a minimalistic, earthy, and energizing vibe. We used a bright, minimalistic loft as the background for her brand photoshoot and incorporated lots of plants to represent the connection to nature that is crucial for health. Her brand colors were sky blue, green, neutrals with pops of yellow. We styled her photos with several items Emma uses day-to-day for her own wellness and well as her clients such as essential oils, sage, a foam roller, blue light blocking glasses, a yoga mat, and more.Find Emma at:Web: https://dremmawhelpton.com/FB: https://facebook.com/DrEmmaWhelptonIG: https://www.instagram.com/dr.emmawhelptonYT: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkMnFVVyZqULGBSjZNgFCtAShow notes:[0:00] Intro[3:15] How she got into what she does now[5:26] Her holistic approach and being relatable to her patients[12:42] Her stress management strategies[14:39] Breathwork for stress management[18:49] Benefits of deep breathing[20:39] A quick testimonial from one of my clients[22:35] What piqued her interest in specializing in lower back pain[26:55] The Yoga+ Method[32:05] Who is her greatest inspiration and why?[32:48] What was the biggest challenge in her business and how did she overcome it?[34:15] What her morning routine looks like[35:43] What she would say to the world[38:47] OutroFor online coaching inquiries and questions about my online programs, connect with me below.IG: www.instagram.com/DeskboundTherapyEmail: David@deskboundtherapy.com12 Week Posture Online Course: https://deskboundtherapy.podia.com/?coupon=DBTLOYALTY40
