The anatomy of trust is central to EQ. The first pillar of emotional intelligence looks at emotional self-awareness. Often, I ask people to reflect on the degree to which they are trusted by others and often they don't know. Part of emotional self-awareness is knowing the impact of your behaviour on others. Is what I am doing or saying building trust or eroding it? It is good to be trusted. When people trust you, it will open doors for you. We all need to be trustworthy people just as God is trustworthy. The consequences of mistrust occur where the world has not been reliable. What are some of the consequences of mistrust? Isolation, Paranoia, Violence, Demotivation etc. I would like to be a trusted person and also a trusting person. Let's explore both concepts in this message. What words come to mind when you think of someone who you trust? For many of us it's words like reliable, competent, caring, safe, honest, transparent, direct, etc. These words do not have the same meaning but all result in trust.

Teil unseres Abnehm-Lexikons!
I wasn't feeling the best about content creation when I started recording this episode – you can skip past this if you want, I won't fault you. It's a bit of a vent session about the ups and downs of staying motivated. By the end, though, I found a few reasons to keep going, and kind of got myself to a place where I feel more comfortable. I try not to make many episodes like this because I my primary goal for podcast episodes is to take a central theme or idea and spin off of that. This episode wasn't really made with an outlined idea or theme in mind. Well, that's not accurate. It started off as my initial intro into an actual episode. But then became a rant. That I realized would end up being an entire recording in and of itself. That I re-recorded 6x. In episodes like this, where the topic is focused on my own insecurities, my own struggles, and my own negativity, I at least want to end up with a level of positivity, or if not that, at least....neutrality. And I think I reached something like that here, with at least some level of authenticity. Next Episode will be more on brand. This episode was still on brand, just a little less so than usual --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/aznanimedude/support

Season finale! It is my great pleasure to welcome back a person I have very much enjoyed speaking with earlier— Dan Honig, an Associate Professor of Public Policy at University College London and Georgetown McCourt School of Public Policy (@rambletastic). His latest book is Mission Driven Bureaucrats: Empowering People To Help Government Do Better. Mission-driven bureaucrats, according to Dan, are individuals who work within the bureaucracy with a genuine desire to serve their organization's mission of helping citizens. They perform their jobs out of a strong belief in their purpose, rather than being driven by a set of rules or incentives that compel them to act in specific ways. But what are the historical roots of the term "mission," and how can mission-driven bureaucrats thrive? The book argues that the key to better government lies in empowerment and trust, rather than stricter controls and more rigorous oversight. Effective bureaucracies are pivotal in mobilizing resources, implementing development projects, and ensuring equitable distribution of growth benefits across all societal segments. Conversely, weak administrative systems often result in inefficiency, corruption, and the derailment of vital development efforts aimed at improving health, education, and economic opportunities. The significance of administrative capacity extends beyond immediate program implementation. Strong administrative systems ensure that the achievements of development policies are maintained over time, adapting to new challenges like technological changes, demographic shifts, and environmental sustainability. This adaptability is essential for long-term development outcomes, making the strengthening of bureaucratic institutions a fundamental aspect of enhancing overall state capacity.Sameen A. Sales teams are accountable for their controllable behavior.Behavior is a leading indicator of results, and increasing positive behaviors can lead to better outcomes. Measuring behavior allows for identifying the level of effort put in by salespeople. Developing good habits, such as effective prospecting, is essential for sales success. Measuring behavior helps identify problems and areas for improvement in the sales process. In this episode of the No BS Sales School podcast, Walker McKay discusses the importance of holding sales teams accountable for their behavior rather than just focusing on results. He emphasizes that behavior is directly within a salesperson's control and can be measured and improved. Walker highlights five reasons why measuring behavior is crucial: it is in their control, behavior is a leading indicator of results, it allows for measuring effort, it develops excellent habits, and it helps identify problems sooner. By focusing on behavior, sales managers can ensure that their teams are taking the necessary actions to achieve success.NON-BS WORDS TO THE WISEMeasuring Behavior Instead of Results - Walker McKay: “The number one reason to hold somebody accountable, a salesperson, your sales team accountable for their behavior is that is in their control. They can do that themselves…behavior is a leading indicator of results. If you're doing more behavior, you're going to get better results.”Identifying Problems through Behavior Accountability - Walker McKay: “Hold people accountable for behavior instead of results. Number one, it's directly within a salesperson's control. They control that stuff…It allows you as their manager, as their boss, or even as yourself to identify: Where are the problems? Why is this not working?”Where to find Walker:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/walkermckay/Twitter: https://twitter.com/walkermckayInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/nobssalesschool/Free Training Course: http://www.7salesmistakes.com/Website: https://www.walkermckay.com/

Demotivation is simply a lack of interest and motivation at your work. It doesn't seem like a big deal; I mean everyone gets a little demotivated at work. You slack off a little, spend some extra time at the water cooler or on a smoke break, and once the weekend kicks in you get a little rest and relaxation before you're better next week. That's not what's going on in policing. Demotivation is more than just a little frustration at the workplace. In policing it's one of the things destroying are profession. Demotivation is a tool used by the anti-police movement to further their agenda and destroy policing as we know it in the United States. Today, moral and motivation in policing is clearly under attack and that attack is spearheaded by six issues.ACABHollywoodPoliticsWork EnvironmentJob ExpectationsAnd the destruction of the tribe. Some of these things I have talked about before, but let's take a few minutes and look at each one and see how together they are so destructive.

Nousheen started working with this team in the middle of the project. At the time, the team had one month to go live. However, Nousheen noticed that the team was demotivated, and there was a lot of blaming behavior happening in the team meetings. In this episode, we discuss how teams can sometimes push themselves beyond what's acceptable, and forget about self-care and sustainability. In this segment we talk about the Three Amigos meeting, a method to help teams prepare the requirements/User Stories in time, and with the right perspectives. Featured Book of the Week: Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster by Jon Krakauer The book Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer tells the story of how very experienced people can fail. The book explores the disaster that occurred in Mount Everest on 10–11 May 1996, and how good intentions, and the desire to “achieve the summit” (literally) created a complex set of factors that ultimately led great people to make some very bad decisions. It's a book filled with lessons for Scrum Masters, even those that work with great teams! How can Angela (the Agile Coach) quickly build healthy relationships with the teams she's supposed to help? What were the steps she followed to help the Breeze App team fight off the competition? Find out how Angela helped Naomi and the team go from “behind” to being ahead of Intuition Bank, by focusing on the people! Download the first 4 chapters of the BOOK for FREE while it is in Beta!
