Mark has played drums and percussion for a living, where he has gotten the opportunity to tour the UK, Europe and the United States. He had also found teaching to be his other passion at age 40, thanks to his children. Mark is also part of the National Association for Primary Education in the UK which helped him understand the issues surrounding people involved in education, not just the amount of work and stress closely tied to this profession, but also because of certain limitations in the school system makes it difficult for them to deliver the kind of learning the children deserve. His podcast, Education on Fire, helps fellow educators discuss ideas and share resources online. But having the freedom to pursue his passion for music and teaching doesn't come without a price. You see, time flexibility can be a double-edged sword. When you agree to one opportunity, you will have to turn down another, simply because you can't be in two places at the same time and exert the same amount of effort to accomplish two different tasks. Being a father, professional musician, primary school teacher AND a podcaster is no easy task. Pursuing his music or teaching career will have its own benefits, but he has found great interest in podcasting and how it can help him have the freedom to spend more time with his family. He has already found a good audience through sharing his insight as a primary school teacher on his podcast, so how can that help him make money online? If you wanna know how we helped Mark, then don't miss this episode, we're going to dive deep into several fantastic points that will help take his online business to the next level and it can help you too! We would love to have you as a member of The Flipped Lifestyle Community! We believe you have God-given talents and experiences you can use to start an online business! Do you have a vision and picture of what happens in a soil judging pit? Clare Tallamy, a recent graduate of Virginia Tech's School of Plant and Environmental Sciences (SPES), shared her passion for soil health and soil judging in this episode. Clare was a member of Virginia Tech's Soil Judging Team and helped the team win its seventh collegiate national championship. Clare also distinguished herself as the individual winner at the 2022 International Soil Judging Contest that was held in Scotland. As an avid gardener growing up in Northern Virginia, Clare took a keen interest in soil science and joined Virginia Tech's Soil Judging to follow her passion to learn more about soil physics, chemistry, and ecology in a very practical way -- as part of a team down in a soil pit.Clare describes how a soil pit is dug and shares a picture to understand and judge the different layers of a soil's profile. Additionally, Clare emphasizes that we can learn a lot about the history of how the soil was formed and why keeping soil covered is important to building soil health through the soil judging process down in the pit.For more details about Virginia Tech's Soil Judging Team and its recent national championship, please refer to the following article: https://vtx.vt.edu/articles/2022/05/soils-soil-judging-2022-champs.html.To view the winning submissions of the recent Healthy Soil, Healthy Life art competition sponsored by the Virginia Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts, please visit the 4 The Soil blog at https://www.4thesoil.org/post/va-association-of-soil-water-conservation-districts-names-winners-of-healthy-soils-healthy-life.Learn more about the Virginia Soil Health Coalition, join the 4 the Soil conversation, and read the latest Soil Health Tip Tuesday blog post at https://www.virginiasoilhealth.org/ and https://www.4thesoil.org.

Follow Your Passion Jim Hughes is today's guest on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots podcast interview. He is the founder of Become Untamed, a coaching, deep immersion and adventure events programme, and the place where he helps you find yourself often using the wilderness as the way forward. He has been on a hell of a journey of personal discovery over the last few years, but now seems to have found the point when it's hard to drag the smile off his face. But let's go back a few years and the smile was lost, or at least mislaid. As he says “I burned myself out treading someone else's path. I changed myself to fit into my environment, I questioned – and then quietened – my instincts, and I lost confidence in my abilities. I stressed myself out questioning everything. I'd always pushed through challenges so this lack of clarity was crippling.
What Is My Calling? And how do I find it? A 5-minute muse, something to think about and maybe make things a little clearer. So many will tell you that you can find your passion or calling in 5 minutes or less Or they have a 'hack' (Oh how I hate that term). I'm not going to promise such 'unpromisable' things but I am going to leave my trail of breadcrumbs if you choose to follow them Maybe it's just the opposite You do not find your calling - Your Calling finds you Hear me out and then you may want to share what you learn and listen https://personaldevelopmentunplugged.com/fmq-368-what-is-my-calling/ Shine brightly Paul Please remember you can leave a comment or email me with questions, requests and feedback. An Entrepreneur's Journey to Follow a Calling to Change Lives and Impact generations by Creating the Bless App. About Tara Tara Eusebi is the founder and chief blesser of Bless App. In 2018, Tara stepped away from a successful career in corporate America to pursue her passion for helping others and follow a calling. This pursuit led Tara to the creation of Bless App, a mobile application that is bringing communities together to help one another in every part of the world. Now Tara is on a mission to change the world by changing lives one need at a time, uniting humanity, and impacting generations through the power of Bless. Tara emphasizes that nothing is worth giving up life and not being able to serve others. As she navigated life as a corporate executive making a large salary she questioned “why on earth am I on earth? She wasn't fulfilled and wanted more. And then, a friend asked her a question that changed the course of her career. The question, what is your passion, what is it that you ultimately want to do? Tara answered, bless other people. This was a turning point for her. She hadn't known that this was a passion until that moment in time. Tara says humanity is waiting for us to step into our passion to serve others. The Bless App When Tara decided to follow a calling to serve others, she took advantage of technology and created the Bless App. She asked herself the question, “if I saw someone in the grocery store would I help them?” Her answer was yes, but she went on to ask another question. “How can I know what they need?” That is the moment Tara came up with the idea to start the Bless App. Bless App is a platform, for all humanity, where people can help other people and ask for help from others. It is a place where people can come together to unite humanity. Tara is on a mission to change the world. She wants you to share a need without judgment but with accountability. The goal is to make lives better. People on the Bless App are held accountable through a "vouge for me" feature on the app. It ensures people have good motives and not there to take advantage of others. The Bless App has ambassadors around the world. If people continue to ask for help but aren't giving, the ambassadors reach out to the people and ask them to give in return. The gifts people give are simple, a helping hand, or a conversation. It doesn't have to be money or expensive items. The inspiration of the Bless App is to give on purpose with a purpose to change lives and impact generations. We all have the ability to impact others and Bless is all about that! Debunking the Myth of Need Everyone has a different perspective on the word need. One of the definitions of need is having wants or desires. Tara said that humanity at large thinks that if we have a need, we are poor, or needy, or not able to make it on our own, and that simply isn't true. Every single one of us, regardless of the level of life we are at, has needs. On the Bless App you can share a need without judgment, but not without accountability. The Bless App is so much more than a platform, it is a revolution and world changer that is transforming lives and making lives better. Is it Possible to Follow a Calling? Tara gave up her career to create Bless. She is living without a paycheck to follow God's calling. Bless App is not a faith-based app, but Tara emphasizes to follow a calling is an act of faith and God has called her to serve others. She has had this passion in her heart for helping others since she was a child. To follow a calling and build the Bless App has made Tara realize why on earth she is on earth. Tara is putting all of her expectations on God to provide for her. Since quitting her job to follow a calling three years ago and Tara has lived without a steady income since that time, but God has provided for her every step of the way. God wants us to know that he is our source and that we are trusting in him only. A lot of churchgoers say they have faith, but it's easy to say that when we have no needs. To follow a calling is to trust completely in God. Tara has really learned where her trust leaks are, as she's walked through this journey. Support Bless App No matter what your need, you can ask it on the Bless App. There is no need that you can share that someone on the planet won't be willing to help with it. Join the Bless App. You can join to change the lives of others and to be blessed yourself. Join the Bless app to start changing your community and together we can change the world. You can support Bless by purchasing merchandise from the Bless Shop. If you'd like to support Bless with a monetary gift you can do so through Bless Supply, which Tara set up so that people could give financially to help propel the mission forward. I haven't missed a Wednesday this whole year...I blame the full moon. ;) Today we're talking about why it's so hard to follow the advice of "Be yourself." It's such a simple concept, so it should be easy to do. And yet Imposter Syndrome is a thing, there are multiple articles, videos...podcasts...on the topic. So it's clearly not easy. But I argue that it SHOULD BE easy. So let's start by breaking this idea down and talking about WHY it's so hard to do. Once we determine that, then we can find the way forward and figure out the steps to do it! Book a 1:1 confidence/life coaching package! If you've been feeling stuck, like things aren't going your way (2020, anyone?), you want to follow your dreams but for some reason you feel like you can't or it wouldn't work out if you did...you need to hear this interview. Nick Stellino is a celebrity chef who has had multiple cooking shows on PBS for over 20 years, and he has been on the most amazing journey. He came to America by himself at age 17, built a lucrative career as a stockbroker, but then realized he was unhappy. After a pivotal event in his life, he quit that job on the spot and decided he would go get a job as a chef the next day... ...and he almost did!! But of course, he realized it doesn't work that way. You have to hear how that story unfolds. This man, in my opinion, is the very embodiment of Rockstar Confidence. It's a true confidence that is calm and easy. He knows who he is and what he stands for, and no one else has the power to change that. But he is also humble, filled with joy and gratitude for the beauty and opportunities that life presents. And he is a CAPTIVATING storyteller. (He even has a show called "Storyteller in the Kitchen.") This hour will FLY by as you get immersed in the stories and the journey. You'll laugh, you'll cry, your jaw will drop, you'll be INSPIRED. And you'll definitely want to hear the story at the end--it's sad, funny, and inspirational all at the same time...and according to him, he gave me the story in a way no one else has gotten it. ;) It was an honor to interview Nick Stellino for this podcast, and I would be honored if you would share it and help more people who need to be inspired by his message. And you're going to want to follow Nick on social media and tune in for his upcoming TV series. Links below: Visit Nick Stellino's website! Follow Nick Stellino on Facebook! Just like this writer at Grown and Flown [https://grownandflown.com/rethink-follow-your-passion/], we have some issues with the career advice that urges seekers to "follow their passion." Because sometimes your passion just isn't a job, and sometimes you don't want to ruin your passion by turning it into a job.

We know that pay gaps, all pay gaps, whether it's race or gender can’t thrive in a transparent world. But also, I found talking about money, really, has helped my friendships and my relationships, because…it doesn't get in the way of having a proper conversation. We learn from each other; we share our tips and knowledge. And also, you learn about yourself in conversation by hearing yourself speak out loud. In this episode, I talk to Alex holder. Alex worked in the world of advertising for 12 years before dramatically deciding to just quit one day. We talk about this at length in this episode and what led to her finding her voice, so to speak, becoming a freelance writer and consultant for well-known magazines such as Elle and Stylist, and most recently publishing her first book ‘The Money Book’ an important look at how we need to destigmatizes the way we talk, think and feel about money. As usual with the podcast, we look at key themes within her journey that we can all learn from. And there is plenty to draw from. Subjects such as the importance of quitting your job when you are unhappy, really listening to yourself and having confidence in your own abilities and skills and more importantly knowing those skills can be transferrable for any job. We talk, of course, about Money. The subject of her first book and her passion to get more people to talk more openly about it. She rightly points out that the more transparent we are with money, the more that we can understand each other’s circumstances as well counteract pay gaps at work. By being open, the powers at the top of businesses with big pay gaps will have no place to hide. Alex is wonderfully honest throughout, she even divulges how much she earns because if you preach it, you must practice it. This is why this whole episode is so compelling to listen with plenty to learn from along the way!
