    1. SAVE America Act (Election Law & Voter ID) Core Argument The SAVE America Act would: Require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote Require photo ID to vote Democrats are portrayed as unanimously opposed, preventing passage due to the Senate’s 60‑vote threshold. Strategic Claim Cruz argues Republicans should: Force a “real” filibuster (continuous floor speeches) Make Democratic opposition politically and physically costly He frames Democratic resistance as intentional rather than procedural. Public Opinion Framing Polling is cited (CNN, Pew) to claim: Broad bipartisan and multiracial support for voter ID Democratic leadership (especially Chuck Schumer) is accused of ignoring their own voters. 2. Voter Fraud & Ballot Harvesting Claims Presented Ballot harvesting is described as: A system that enables fraud, especially among elderly or vulnerable populations Democrats are accused of: Supporting policies that increase fraud opportunities Reversing recommendations from the Carter–Baker Commission There is justification for: Photo ID laws Restrictions on mail-in voting Limits on third-party ballot collection 3. Somali Welfare Fraud in Minnesota Central Allegation Massive welfare fraud in Minnesota tied to programs serving the Somali immigrant community. Figures cited include: Up to half of $18 billion in welfare spending allegedly lost to fraud Disproportionately high welfare participation rates among Somali households Democratic state officials are accused of: Knowing about the fraud Allowing it to continue for political gain Silencing whistleblowers Stolen welfare funds indirectly finance al‑Shabab, a terrorist organization 4. Medical Policy Shift on Gender Surgeries for Minors Key Development The American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Medical Association are described as: Reversing prior support for “gender‑affirming surgeries” for minors Now recommending deferral until adulthood Causal Explanation The reversal is attributed to: A high‑profile malpractice lawsuit by a detransitioner Legal and financial risk to medical institution Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now. What if the things you do every single day are quietly making you sick… and you don't even realize it? Harvard psychologist Dr. Ellen Langer, author of The Mindful Body, reveals the shocking ways our minds shape our health, aging, stress levels, and even how long we live—often without us noticing. In this mind-expanding of Mayim Bialik's Breakdown, Dr. Langer explains why self-agency and making your own decisions can literally extend your lifespan, how expectations and beliefs shape disease progression, and why the real meaning of mindfulness has almost nothing to do with meditation. Dr. Langer breaks down: - Small, everyday habits that are secretly harming your health - Why stress is the #1 cause of illness (and not for the reason you think) - Whether healing timelines are based on real time or perceived time - Surprising benefits of positive thinking, even with terminal illness - Danger of labels, including words like “try” and “remission” - Why spontaneous remissions exist & why they're so hard to study - Simple ways to become more mindful right now, even if you've never meditated once in your life - Can we train ourselves to not need eyeglasses? - The real power of the placebo effect - Can the mind cure the common cold? - Psychological treatments for chronic illness - Who is more likely to get sick & why - How color influences our biology more than we think - Why spirituality requires presence and mindfulness - How to reframe negative circumstances into positive ones, and the health benefits of doing so - How her mother's battle with cancer inspired her groundbreaking research This episode will change how you think about healing, stress, aging, illness, and the true power of your mind over your body! In this episode, we take a deeper, more grounded look at resilience through the lens of Lindsey Vonn's ACL journey. Not as motivation, but as a real, physical, and mental demonstration of what the human body is capable of when given time, intention, and the right environment. From multiple ACL tears and degenerative knee changes to a partial knee replacement and a late-career Olympic push, Lindsey's story challenges rigid narratives around timelines, imaging, and “what should be possible” after injury. This episode unpacks the difference between structure and function, why feeling good doesn't always mean being ready, and how capacity, tolerance, and informed decision-making matter far more than labels. Most importantly, it reframes the ACL journey with a powerful reminder: it's never too late to rebuild, adapt, and return to what matters to you.Links: https://www.instagram.com/p/DUI-ajQDTCc/ https://www.espn.com/olympics/skiing/story/_/id/47776769/vonn-crashes-limps-final-test-run-week-olympics https://www.instagram.com/p/DUTSTCvDdIp/https://www.espn.com/olympics/story/_/id/47816576/vonn-confident-race-olympics-ruptured-acl https://www.instagram.com/reel/DUTcSDGEfPn/Ways we can connect:My IG: www.instagram.com/ravipatel.dptOur website: www.theaclathlete.comEmail: ravi@theaclathlete.com_________________Submit a topic or a question you'd like me to answer.Check out our website and tons of free ACL resourcesSign up for The ACL Athlete - VALUE Newsletter (an exclusive newsletter packed with value - ACL advice, go-to exercises, ACL research reviews, athlete wins, frameworks we use, mindset coaching, blog articles, podcast episodes, and pre-launch access to some exciting projects we have lined up)1-on-1 Remote ACL Coaching - A clear plan. We also talk about his conservative approach to the season with lots of short passes first, building confidence, chasing records, and why he still believes the 6.0L platform has plenty of fight left. We also dive into the growing excitement around UCC, massive purses, new classes, and how high level competition continues to push the entire diesel aftermarket forward. Today's guest is Tanner Care. Tanner Care is a high-performance specialist, currently serving as the Director of Player Performance for the BC Lions (CFL) and the Director of Athletic Performance for the Vancouver Bandits (CEBL). Since 2023, he has also held the role of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Simon Fraser University, where he oversees the physical development of athletes across 13 collegiate sports. On the surface, strength and conditioning is about increasing an athlete's physical strength and capacities. To dig deeper and help athletes reach their highest potential, an understanding of sprint-specific forces, athlete archetypes, and dosage of inputs is essential. On today's show, Tanner talks about his practical framework for elite athlete development. He shares how he integrates max-speed work into sport-specific drills, such as full-court basketball overthrows, and explains his “layered” coaching model, which progresses from foundational health and general capacity to more specific archetyping. The conversation also dives into the technical side of his toolkit, including the use of run-specific isometrics for sprint transfer, plyometric training, and how he balances force-velocity profiles across different athlete types. Ultimately, Tanner advocates for a “health-first” approach in the pro setting, favoring consistent, high-quality inputs over unnecessarily complex training schemes. On the Priority of Training: "That's layer one health has to come before performance. So removing any potential inhibition." On Dynamic vs. Passive Screening: "I've seen so many people get on a table, assess passive hip internal rotation and say there's some kind of limitation. But when we see it dynamically at sports speed, it's like, oh, there it is." On General Movement Competency: "I can't tell you the amount of professional guys I have come in that like can't do like rudimentary plyometrics like they can't hop or bound stationary let alone locomotively" On Local vs. Global Issues: "Do we have a Ferrari? Do we have a Honda Civic? Do we have a Ferrari with a flat tire? Like, sometimes we just have to deal with local issues, not necessarily broad systems of improving the overall organism." On the Limits of Strength: "We know that the strongest individuals aren't necessarily the most forceful individuals. At some point, there's a clear cutoff." On Stiffness and Propulsion: "Rate of force development and stiffness isn't always a good thing if they don't have the propulsive qualities necessary to actually displace their hips horizontally" On Force and Sprint Performance“If you're able to generate adequate force at adequate time and attenuate high braking force, that's always going to correlate positively with sprint performance.” On Weight Room Philosophy: "I try to remove skill or as much skill as I can within the context of the weight room." About Tanner Care Tanner Care is a credentialed strength and conditioning professional specializing in elite athlete development across pro and collegiate levels. He currently serves as Director of Performance for the Vancouver Bandits (CEBL) and the BC Lions (CFL), overseeing strength & conditioning, load management, sport science, and performance nutrition to enhance athlete readiness and longevity. And leaders become the last to know what's really happening. In this episode of Impact With Ease, Blake is joined by Radhika Dutt, author of Radical Product Thinking, for a wide-ranging conversation on leadership, intentionality, and why traditional goal setting fails teams. STOP Intermittent Fasting If You Want to Stay Young : 1409

STOP intermittent fasting if you think it automatically keeps you young. In this episode, you'll learn why short-term fasting results can mislead long-term aging outcomes, and how duration, frequency, refeeding, and protein intake determine whether fasting supports longevity or quietly accelerates decline. Watch this episode on YouTube for the full video experience: https://www.youtube.com/@DaveAspreyBPR Host Dave Asprey sits down with Valter Longo, one of the world's leading longevity researchers with over 30 years of experience studying aging, nutrition, and disease prevention. Dr. Longo is the Director of the Longevity Institute at the University of Southern California's Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and the Director of the Longevity and Cancer Program at IFOM, the Italian Foundation for Cancer Research Institute of Molecular Oncology in Milan. He is the author of the bestselling book The Longevity Diet and was named one of TIME Magazine's 50 most influential people in health care for his research on fasting-mimicking diets. Together, Dave Asprey and Dr. Longo explain why many people focus too heavily on short-term effects and extrapolate them incorrectly across a lifetime. They break down how intermittent fasting differs biologically from multi-day fasting, why five-day fasting cycles trigger deeper cellular changes, and how insulin, IGF-1, mTOR, and growth hormone shape aging, regeneration, and disease risk over time. The conversation covers protein and amino acid intake, muscle preservation, frailty risk, and the tradeoffs between strength, function, and longevity. They explore ketosis, fasting-mimicking diets, stem cell activation, mitochondrial function, neuroplasticity, and why equilibrium and cycling matter more than constant restriction. Dave and Valter also discuss supplements, nootropics, creatine, carnivore-style eating, metabolism, sleep optimization, and how AI may eventually personalize fasting and nutrition based on individual biology rather than population averages. You'll learn: • Why short-term fasting benefits do not predict long-term longevity • How fasting duration changes gene expression and cellular regeneration • The difference between intermittent fasting and multi-day fasting • How protein and amino acids influence mTOR, IGF-1, and aging • Why muscle, strength, and longevity must be balanced, not maximized • When ketosis overlaps with fasting and when it does not • Why supplements can disrupt biological equilibrium • How AI could support future personalization in fasting and nutrition Dave Asprey is a four time New York Times bestselling author, founder of Bulletproof Coffee, and the father of biohacking. With over 1,000 interviews and 1 million monthly listeners, The Human Upgrade is the top podcast for people who want to take control of their biology, extend their longevity, and optimize every system in the body and mind. As conversations about banning phones and curbing screen use grow louder, parents are left asking an honest question: Is technology the problem, or are we? In this episode of Facing the Dark, Wayne Stender and Dr. Kathy Koch explore new legislative efforts around screen limits and use them as a springboard for a much more personal conversation about parenting and formation. Dr. Kathy reframes the issue with clarity and grace: technology itself isn't the enemy, but when it becomes the primary way kids (and adults) cope with boredom or anxiety, something essential is lost. Parents are challenged to look inward first, recognizing that kids will struggle to give up screens if adults aren't willing to do the same. The episode explores why screens often become a refuge for anxious hearts, and why removing them without replacing them leaves kids unprepared to process life well. Rather than advocating for extremes, the conversation centers on coexisting wisely with technology. Parents are encouraged to build alternative rhythms that include quiet, prayer, creativity, play, conversation, and service, so screens aren't the default solution to every uncomfortable moment. Dr. Kathy also offers a clear, realistic vision for a family tech policy: visible alternatives, no devices in bedrooms, strong boundaries, character based decisions, and parents who are confident enough to say no without guilt. Grounded in Jesus' teaching about the Sabbath in Mark 2, the episode reminds families that limits are not punishments; they are gifts. Just as rest was designed to restore humanity, wise tech boundaries protect attention and relationships. When children learn that they are valued apart from constant stimulation or connection, they gain freedom rather than restriction. This episode equips parents to lead with humility and courage, helping technology return to its rightful place as a tool, not a ruler.

As he considers a 2028 presidential run, Rahm Emanuel joined us in studio for a wide-ranging and candid conversation about power, politics, and the moment the U.S. finds itself in right now. Emanuel has served at the highest levels of government — in Congress, as President Obama's first chief of staff, two terms as mayor of Chicago, and most recently as U.S. ambassador to Japan. We dig into the rapidly shifting global order, including Greenland, U.S. alliances, China, Ukraine, Gaza, Israel Iran, and Venezuela. On President Trump's second term, Emanuel acknowledges that he shares some underlying goals — including the need to confront China, fight for the American worker and reassess broken global institutions — but is sharply critical of Trump's tactics, execution, and what he sees as lasting damage to America's image, alliances, and long-term leverage abroad.Emanuel is blunt in his criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's conduct of the Gaza war, while also defending Israel's right to exist and protect itself. He warns that political realities around Israel have fundamentally changed inside the Democratic Party. We talk about what that mean if he decides to run for the Democratic nomination. The conversation also turns personal: growing up in Chicago, parenting, and life as one of the three Emanuel brothers — alongside Ari Emanuel, the legendary Hollywood agent, and Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, a leading physician. Mosheh Oinounou (@mosheh) is an Emmy and Murrow award-winning journalist. He has 20 years of experience at networks including Fox News, Bloomberg Television and CBS News, where he was the executive producer of the CBS Evening News and launched the network's 24 hour news channel. This episode features Jerry Tworek, a key architect behind OpenAI's breakthrough reasoning models (o1, o3) and Codex, discussing the current state and future of AI. Jerry explores the real limits and promise of scaling pre-training and reinforcement learning, arguing that while these paradigms deliver predictable improvements, they're fundamentally constrained by data availability and struggle with generalization beyond their training objectives. He reveals his updated belief that continual learning—the ability for models to update themselves based on failure and work through problems autonomously—is necessary for AGI, as current models hit walls and become "hopeless" when stuck. Jerry discusses the convergence of major labs toward similar approaches driven by economic forces, the tension between exploration and exploitation in research, and why he left OpenAI to pursue new research directions. He offers candid insights on the competitive dynamics between labs, the focus required to win in specific domains like coding, what makes great AI researchers, and his surprisingly near-term predictions for robotics (2-3 years) while warning about the societal implications of widespread work automation that we're not adequately preparing for. (0:00) Intro(1:26) Scaling Paradigms in AI(3:36) Challenges in Reinforcement Learning(11:48) AGI Timelines(18:36) Converging Labs(25:05) Jerry's Departure from OpenAI(31:18) Pivotal Decisions in OpenAI's Journey(35:06) Balancing Research and Product Development(38:42) The Future of AI Coding(41:33) Specialization vs. Generalization in AI(48:47) Hiring and Building Research Teams(55:21) Quickfire With your co-hosts: @jacobeffron - Partner at Redpoint, Former PM Flatiron Health @patrickachase - Partner at Redpoint, Former ML Engineer LinkedIn @ericabrescia - Former COO Github, Founder Bitnami (acq'd by VMWare) @jordan_segall - Partner at Redpoint

In Season 4, Episode 14 of Altered State, hosts Brad Zerbo and Zak Paine examine how narratives are constructed, reinforced, and eventually strained under their own weight. The conversation focuses on information control, perception management, and the growing gap between official explanations and lived reality. Brad and Zak break down how repetition, emotional leverage, and selective framing are used to shape public response, and why these tactics appear to be losing effectiveness. The episode also explores how pressure reveals weak points in coordinated messaging, leading to contradictions, overcorrections, and audience fatigue. Throughout the discussion, the hosts emphasize pattern recognition, critical thinking, and the importance of stepping back to observe structure rather than reacting to individual headlines. This episode continues Altered State's core mission of questioning consensus narratives and encouraging listeners to reassess what they're being told, and why.

The panel will discuss the questions left open—or raised—by the Supreme Court’s decisions in FCC v. Consumers' Research and Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, about the proper approach to statutory construction and the role that the nondelegation doctrine should play as a background principle in statutory analysis in cases where an agency has claimed broad authority to weigh competing public values when promulgating legislative rules. The discussion might address such subtopics as:Whether the Supreme Court’s rejection of an “extravagant” interpretation of FCC’s statutory authority in Consumers’ Research tells us anything about how courts should approach statutory cases where an agency is asserting an expansive view of its statutory authorities—given that the Court appeared to say that the dissent’s (supposedly “extravagant”) interpretation would present a nondelegation problem. What role nondelegation concerns should play under the avoidance canon in cases where an agency seeks to stretch nebulous or expressly open-ended delegations to achieve whatever policy objective the Executive Branch deems fit from one administration to the next.Whether these kinds of concerns can be dealt with by expanding clear statement rules—like that the Court has begun to develop with the major questions doctrine.Whether and to what extent legitimate nondelegation concerns arise in cases where Congress has expressly said that an issue is vested to agency discretion—as was contemplated in Loper Bright for certain kinds of rules for which the Court said the agency gets to decide.Featuring:Prof. Jonathan Adler, Tazewell Taylor Professor of Law and William H. Discover why the future of AI at work is more human than you think. Vinay Gidwaney, Chief Product Officer at OneDigital, shares how treating AI agents as talent rather than technology is changing AI adoption at work. He explains people-first change management, managing AI coworkers, building trust in human AI teams, and why real transformation depends on equity, access, and better decision-making.Key Moments:AI as a Coworker (01:45): Vinay introduces “Ben,” an AI benefits consultant at OneDigital, to illustrate a fundamentally different way of thinking about AI at work. Instead of positioning AI as automation or replacement, he explains how AI coworkers are designed to augment human expertise and support better decision-making.Hiring, Training, and Managing AI Like Employees (04:20): Vinay walks through OneDigital's intern-to-apprentice model for AI, including job descriptions, cultural fit, human managers, and ongoing supervision. He shows how applying HR rigor to AI builds trust, accountability, and clarity while helping employees see AI as part of the team, not a threat. Why AI Projects Fail: The Misguided Focus on Tools over Talent (10:45): Vinay argues that AI fails when treated like a traditional IT rollout. He emphasizes that AI adoption is fundamentally a people and change-management challenge, calling on HR leaders to lead the shift in how humans and AI work together.Recognizing the Limits and Risks of AI Automation (23:10): Vinay explains why fully autonomous AI agents often fall short in knowledge-based organizations. He cautions leaders to be skeptical of automation-first promises and introduces a more realistic model centered on cognition, human oversight, and thoughtful ROI evaluation. The Future of Work in an AI World (38:10):  Vinay reflects on his career and argues that software alone is no longer a defensible moat. He emphasizes speed, insight, services, and human judgment as the true sources of lasting value.Key Quotes:“ If you treat AI like any other technology that you've adopted in your company. It's not going to work out as well as you'd like… It's not a technology thing, it's a people thing.” - Vinay Gidwaney“ AI is a great way to spread human talent in your organization because they mirror what your humans are doing.” - Vinay Gidwaney“AI is talent and you have to treat AI in the same way that you treat the talent within your organization.” - Vinay GidwaneyMentionsHow to Train Your AI ‘Coworker'What are AI agent types? The episode examines digital assets and stablecoins through the lens of dollar supremacy, arguing that innovation, not restriction, is central to maintaining U.S. economic dominance. JB explores global dynamics involving China, Europe, and the City of London, emphasizing why rival systems struggle to compete with American innovation and forward-thinking culture. The discussion also dives deeply into the Minnesota unrest, using it as a case study to explain the relationship between individual sovereignty, state authority, and federal power. JB breaks down why federal action is constrained by constitutional structure, judicial process, and jurisdiction, and why patience is required as accountability unfolds. Throughout the episode, the focus remains on discernment, constitutional order, and understanding how power actually operates rather than how it is portrayed.
