This year's NABshow arrives amid a grim outlook for our media broadcast industry. Will we address these issues at the conference or skip them? (00:00).Peter is joined by Matt Mason, a former pirate radio DJ, innovator at BitTorrent and Sony Pictures, and currently the CEO of Basejump, to help us check in on Metaverse storytelling and whether your content creation pipeline can be redefined at the hands of decentralized tech and gaming platforms? (01:28).Then, they discuss the transformative power that NFTs can have on creative control of your content (18:20).Finally, Peter is joined by industry pundit Alan Lasky to unpack NABshow's attempt to embrace changing markets while addressing the tough questions posed on our industry (30:37).Matt Mason is the CEO of BaseJump. You can learn more about Matt Mason and connect on LinkedIn.You can learn more about BaseJump at their website. And read Matt's book on culture and technology, "The Pirate's Dilemma".You can follow Alan Lasky's opinions and connect with him on LinkedIn.Follow the Virtually Everything! Decentralized tech and gaming platforms can redefine content creation pipelines.2. AO, a decentralized supercomputer distributed across global laptops and servers, will enable robust and permanent data storage.3. The Metaverse should be viewed as a collection of digital assets and stories rather than specific platforms.4. Base Jump is a loadout screen for the entire next 3D spatial internet, enabling users to equip avatars and digital assets for use across different platforms and metaverses.5. NFTs allow creators to maintain ownership and control over their digital creations, opening new monetization avenues and reducing dependency on centralized platforms.6. The rise in interest for decentralization is attributed to a reaction against failing legacy systems and the need for more democratic, user-controlled digital experiences.7. The current mood in the media and entertainment industry is questioning the return on investment for production gear.8. NAB and similar shows should adapt to new decentralized and AI-driven production models to remain relevant to newer, self-employed content creators.9. Economic conditions and changing cultural attitudes towards digital and decentralized technologies are impacting industry trends and conference dynamics. The Virtually Everything!

Then Bellas bring on Travis Pastrana, who sits at the AGT: Extreme judge's table with Nikki. Nikki & Brie jetted down to Los Angeles for a monumental Sister Super Bowl Weekend that included Megan Thee Stallion, a number of outfit changes, day drinking, camera time, questionable choices at the bar, and a lot of camera time. The Bellas were also in attendance at Super Bowl LVI and share their experiences seeing Billie Jean King and The Rock, the mind-blowing halftime show, and an incident involving one of the Bellas that involved a woman hitting the ground…hard. Then Travis Pastrana connects with Nikki and Brie to get us ready for AGT: Extreme! A few weeks ago, Travis had a base jumping stunt go wrong, and he gives an update on how he's doing now and if he'd ever try it again. Travis is a legend in the world of Action Sports and talks about what made his run of successful X-Games appearances so much fun, taking extreme sports into the mainstream, and why he started Nitro Circus, his life as a cheer dad, if he'd encourage his daughters to live life as dangerously as he has, and how much fun he had working with Nikki. Nikki & Brie play a new Bellas Podcast game, “Record Collector,” with Travis, who holds 11 X-Games Gold Medals and holds 11 entries in the Guinness Book of World Records. Travis also has an incredible response for this week's Inspiration & Affirmation that applies to his life as a parent and an extreme athlete. The Outdoor Journal Podcast

At 140 MPH and just feet off the ground, every flight that professional wingsuit pilot Sam Hardy takes requires a deep connection with nature and ultimate trust in his jumping partner. (Read the full article on The Outdoor Journal). Over the past 14 years, Hardy has completed over 1,800 BASE jumps in 27 different countries, which makes him one of the world's leading experts on the sport. Hardy runs a BASE jumping school where he teaches students the techniques of BASE jumping and wingsuit flying. Steadfast to Peter Pan's credo “Never Grow Up,” Hardy believes that we are meant to carry on our childhood playfulness throughout life. Hardy also co-founded Project Base, a non-profit company, in order to combine his passion for wingsuit flying with the chance to give back to others. In 2015, Hardy and his partner Nate Jones flew to Ethiopia to complete a world's first BASE Jump in the Simien mountains, in conjunction with providing fresh water and school furniture to students. As if wingsuit flying was not difficult enough, Hardy straps various cameras to his gear to capture footage for documentary films, which requires an additional level of air awareness, concentration, and trust to film his subjects at cinematic angles. Wingsuit flying is a sport misunderstood. Athletes jump from cliffs, mountain tops, tall buildings and other objects with the goal to fly in close proximity to the ground, yet at a safe enough “angle of attack” to avoid contact. Each flight takes hours of mental preparation which involves closely reading the terrain and weather conditions. In this episode, Sam will discuss the purpose behind his wingsuit adventures, the mechanics of flight prep, what it was like to be mistaken for the Messiah on his first descent into Ethiopia's Simien Mountains and how to deal with life's stressors better by facing ultimate risk. Le Super Daily
Une marque peut-elle vraiment devenir un média ?

Le Super Daily

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 26, 2019 16:44

L’offre.
