About Leah Martin-BrownEven before picking up her first guitar at age 11, Leah Martin-Brown knew she was destined to become a musician.Born in Brisbane, Queensland and raised in the beautiful beach town Burleigh Heads, Leah would play anywhere there was a stage- oftentimes begging family friends who owned bars and restaurants to let her set up and play a few tunes. By the time she was 16, Leah was writing, recording and performing her original music all over the Gold Coast and surrounding areas- regularly being booked for locally run festivals, youth events and the occasional nightclub with her newly named project 'Lilly Rouge'.Leah finished high school and was accepted into the 'Bachelor of Popular Music' program at Griffith University which she graduated from in 2011. Still knowing that she desperately wanted to continue writing and performing music but not quite sure how to support herself doing so, Leah moved down to Melbourne in Victoria and began working on a Master of Music Education at Melbourne University. While she did not fall in love with teaching, she found new life within the vibrant Melbourne music scene, inspiring her to immediately change her hair colour to her signature red and, also, to defer her Degree and begin fully focusing on her band- 'Lilly Rouge'.September 2012 saw Leah return to her home state of Queensland to begin writing and recording with Brisbane based Producer, Stuart Stuart (The Veronica's, Sheppard). The two co-wrote over 30 tracks, most of which were released on 'Lilly Rouge" records. This set Leah and her band up for two Australian National tours, support slots for 'Everclear', 'Presidents of the United States' and 'The Getaway Plan' and a set at 2013's 'Big Day Out' Festival. This caught the eyes and ears of Los Angeles, CA based A&R Company- A&R Worldwide. They invited Leah to California to work on some new music with Producer, Brian Howes (Airbourne, Skillet, Hinder, Nickelback) and showcase at music industry event 'Musexpo'. It was at this point that Leah disbanded Lilly Rouge and created 'Evol Walks'.Leah spent the next 5 years extensively playing shows in her new home of Los Angeles, CA as well as touring through Australia, West Coast USA and parts of Europe, releasing 2 EPs and several singles with the band.In 2020, Leah relocated to Stockholm, Sweden where, as well as writing and recording new music, she was given the opportunity to work and record an album with legendary Producer & Songwriter Robert ‘Mutt' Lange and acclaimed songwriter & producer Tony Nilsson. In 2024, Leah Martin-Brown spends the bulk of her time in Los Angeles, CA but is consistently travelling the world writing, recording and playing wherever she can.She has shared the stage with Dreamtheatre, Flogging Molly, Nita Strauss, Glen Sobel, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry and many more.

Our chat covers Gentle Giant's entire 11 studio album career, with stories about their beginnings, hanging out with Elton John, working with Producer Tony Visconti, opening for Black Sabbath and headlining big arenas in Quebec. After leaving Gentle Giant, Derek became one of the most successful music executives of all time! So viele Fragen. Progressive Rock Band Is Back With New Album#newmusic #progrock #newalbum #daysbeforetomorrow #rockmusic After a ten-years hiatus, the award-winning melodic progressive arena rock band, Days Before Tomorrow, is back with its long-awaited record, Now and Then Part II: Stories and Dreams. The record was recorded years ago but went unreleased as band members went on to pursue other musical projects. Regrouped and reinvigorated, this explosive set of previously unreleased material—freshly mixed by James Linton (Bobby Kimball)—will stun long-time DB4T fans and introduce an entirely new audience of discerning listeners to another epic rock band worthy of their attention. With a vibe that is hard rocking and precise, featuring soaring lead vocals and multi-part harmonies surrounded by technical musical instrumentals that almost require the listener to unleash his/her inner air guitarist and air drummer, it's hard to place Days Before Tomorrow in one basic category like prog metal or arena rock. This is a genre-defying group that appeals to fans of everyone from Kansas and Styx to Porcupine Tree and Dream Theater.Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/artist/0KEIdWInHwgqvIjbT65Ahl?si=UFj17Tz0S7GthMbvIC65sQApple/iTuneshttps://music.apple.com/us/artist/days-before-tomorrow/186496275Website: https://www.daysbeforetomorrow.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/db4tofficialFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/daysbeforetomorrowTwitter: https://twitter.com/daysb4tomorrowTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@daysbeforetomorrowYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/daysbeforetomorrowThanks for tuning in, please be sure to click that subscribe button and give this a thumbs up!!Email: thevibesbroadcast@gmail.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/listen_to_the_vibes_/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thevibesbroadcastnetworkLinktree: https://linktr.ee/the_vibes_broadcastTikTok: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMeuTVRv2/Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheVibesBrdcstTruth: https://truthsocial.com/@KoyoteFor all our social media and other links, go to: Linktree: https://linktr.ee/the_vibes_broadcastPlease subscribe, like, and share!

Oh boy. Here we go. Dream Theatre are a world renowned progressive metal band, with over 3 decades of albums and material at their disposal, surely there's something for everybody? So, why was Lav hesitant at the end of last weeks episode, when Keith wanted to bring the 2003 album "Train of Thought" to the pod? And do you think it's enough to bring a 30-something who has dodged this band for years, into the DT fold? Listen in to find out! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Episode 21 of Season 5 kicked off TSORR at 19h00 on Thursday 26 May 2022 with Chickenfoot's upbeat 'Oh Yeah'. From there it was Kiss and The Answer out of Ireland with a track called 'Feel the Fear'. This was one of the most enjoyable episodes I have ever done. It felt a bit different but I am not sure why. It had all the usual fare; Punk from The Stranglers and the Clash, classic metal from Iron Maiden and Metallica, Grunge from Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden. With Soundgarden, we went 'Full On Kevin's Mom'.The South African music bit was great thanks to Rebel Rocks' own Tinus Nel who had old recordings that I only had on cassette of The Diamond Dogs. The Dogs were SA's finest live band back in the late '80s / early '90s and they would have been huge if they were in the US. The energy from these recordings is palpable, We checked out a new track from The Black Cat Bones off the new album Book of Miriam which is being released slowly. We also checked up Odyssey and Sacrifist. My favorite bit was the last hour where we had some rocking heavy stuff from The Lazys and Billy F. Gibbons before having a mellow-ish Jethro Tull into Van Morrison, into Bowie bit. Moving the show through to a seriously heavy ending took skill and worked like a charm, going via the weirdness of Electric Six and Beastie Boys and using the Kerry King solo as the bridge into Slayer with 'Americon' and then Arch Enemy with their new track 'Sunset Over Empire' and show closer 'Arrows In Words From The Sky' by Machine Head Artists featured: Chickenfoot, Kiss, The Answer, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Annihilator, Iron Maiden, Texas Hippie Coalition, Hell Yeah, Danko Jones, Buckcherry, Led Zeppelin, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Dream Theatre, Edguy, The Stranglers, The Clash, Transvision Vamp, The Diamond Dogs, Odyssey, Sacrifist, Grave Digger, Metallica, The Lazys, Billy F. Gibbons, Asking Alexandria, Tyler Bryant, Jethro Tull, Van Morrison, David Bowie, Conil, John Mellencamp, Electric Six, Beastie Boys, Slayer, Arch Enemy, Machine Head
Episode 20 of Season 5 aired on Rebel Rock Radio on Thursday 19 May at 19h00. It was great to be back behind the mic after two hectic weeks in Clarens and then Cape Town. The show kicked off with hair metal heavyweights Slaughter and a track called 'Shake This Place'. That was the general intention from the start. From there we checked out the two Mot's, Mötley Crüe and Mott the Hoople, with 'Angela' and 'One of the Boys' respectively. We went to Australia with The Screaming Jets and James Reyne and then to Germany with Accept and a delightful love song called 'Bucket Full of Hate'. The show had a great mix and even featured a track from prog heavyweights Dream Theatre. We had metal from Satan with 'My Own God', as well as more from Cancer Bats off their latest release Psychic Jailbreak. The South African stuff came from Jasper Dan, Prime Circle, and Durban's very own Roland Suttie with his latest Theo Crous release titled 'There Was a Boy'. By request, we slipped in The Uninvited and a track called 'Fixman' making a long overdue appearance. It's a track of great relevance today with the immortal line "When the bullies go to war". There was a bit of Gary Numan and Transvision Vamp and another track from Roger Kaye with Blue Scream titled 'Weak at the Knees. We also checked out 12th Avenue and gave a big shout-out to frontman Mark Haze who I saw in Tableview last weekend. the good news is that Mark is rocking and sounding better than ever. He has without a doubt one of the best voices in the world and it's wonderful to see a guy so talented. As we said at the gig, he plays guitar as easily as breathing. We finished off with the Admas Family, Ryan, and Big brother Bryan, lol, just a little joke. Artists featured: Slaughter, Mötley Crüe, Mott the Hoople, Def Leppard, Bad Company, The Screaming Jets, James Reyne, Metallica, Satan, Accept, Dream Theatre, Fate Warning, Dark Tranquility, The Rolling Stones, Gov't Mule, Jasper Dan, Roland Suttie, Prime Circle, Gary Numan & Tubeway Army, Transvision Vamp, Halestorm, Cancer Bats, Motörhead, Avenged Sevenfold, The Gaslight Anthem, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, 12th Avenue, Blue Scream, The Uninvited, AMH, Green Day, UK Subs, Pride & Glory, Slayer, Trivium, Megadeth, Kid Rock, Ryan Adams, Bryan Adams

Alexandra Zerner is a progressive rock/metal guitar player, multi-instrumentalist and composer from the Czech Republic. She frequents the lists of women who shred and I am such a fan of her work and delighted to talk with her beautiful and detailed mind. We discuss the intersection of magic, science and spirituality. Our love for other worlds created through genres of sci fi and steampunk and our love of Tolkein and his Norse connection. All her albums are a whole production with accompanying books full of hidden meanings. Her latest album “Silhouette” is a conceptual album dealing with her shadow self. She talks openly about her own depression, imposter syndrome and the pressure of performing with the likes of Dream Theatre. Perhaps the highlight is her compelling personal philosophies on a variety of topics. https://alexandrazerner.com @alexandrazernerrocks https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvIs6eUvdPC4PgLj5irvclg

Opal Ocean is made up by Alex Champ and Nadav Tabak, both incredibly gifted guitarists who have been honing their craft since a young age.Growing up on a healthy diet of acts such as Metallica, Dream Theatre, Tool and Opeth, both musicians independently found themselves drawn to the acoustic guitar but with a progressive metal edge. Plying their trades in Melbourne at markets, private events and restaurants, they were introduced as two people that had to meet and a formidable duo was formed. With their debut album Lost Fables receiving resounding acclaim in 2016, the duo continued to build their reputation, touring relentlessly which saw them reach festivals as far wide as Canada and Europe. These tours helped them accumulate such a loyal fan base that they were able to launch a successful Pozible campaign which attracted over $20,000 in pledges to help fund their latest album, The Hadal Zone. Knuckling down for the writing process, the pair wanted to push their limits and expand on the progressive style they had begin to tap into on Lost Fables. The result is a collection of songs so powerful & unique, that Jordan Rudess of Dream Theatre himself was happy to lay down his talents, which can be found on the 7+ minute track "Polycephaly".The Hadal Zone or the underworld as known in Greek mythology, is the deepest region of the sea. A dark pure black world, filled with alien-like creatures and the great unknown. This is the area the band wish to take you to.Opal Ocean catch up with HEAVY to talk about the effects of COVID down in Melbourne, Eddie Van Halen, working with Jordan Rudess, the creative ideas and inspirations for The Hadal Zone and more.

In this episode, Paul, Sterling and Bruce are joined by vocalist Casey Lee Williams for a lengthy chat about all things music. From childhood Dream Theatre and Drake Bell gigs to writing credits for RWBY volume 7. Casey and the lads get into what it was like growing up in a musical family and having your personal musical development documented in annual record releases. Diving into some of the amazing tunes from the RWBY soundtracks, they discuss the unusual melodies and interesting key changes that make these soundtracks such a standout aspect of the RWBY universe.
Dream Theatre, The Offspring, Insane Clown Posse culture (we do though, sort of get that), Kiss, Modern "hip-hop," and internet based sewing discord and manufacturing fake outrage. This week we explore fandoms and other things we don't understand. We talk rock climbing and sculpting your way to the grave, doing what you love until it kills you. The magic of Mel Blanc. The newest Tool album comes up again, obviously. How do we love Tool, let us count the ways. How is Tool different from say, Phish? How is Tool like The Nazca Lines?! How about getting it eventually albeit with a delayed understanding? Kudos, UP YOURS! We don't get it, so help us know. We don't bash but will take the backlash.

July 1992 — Dream Theater — “Images and Words” Is it Metallica? or Triumph? or Rush? Although “Images and Words” was their second studio album, the addition of James LaBrie as front man makes this album feel like the first complete outing for Dream Theater. While they only have one “hit” in the repertoire, this group is a giant in the progressive rock genre. The musicality of each member of the group gives Dream Theater an ability to take a variety of styles from driving thrash metal to soft ballads to an almost orchestral “wall of sound.” This album is their most commercially successful to date and gives a good sense of their diversity. “Friend of the Show” John Lynch joins us in Brian's absence as we delve into this prog rock gem from 1992. “Pull Me Under” This is the hit off the album. Clocking in at over 8 minutes, a scaled down version hit MTV and gave Dream Theater some exposure to a larger audience. You can see elements of Metallica and Queensryche in this gritty piece. “Another Day ” Guitarist John Petrucci wrote this piece while his father was battling cancer. The soprano sax is provided by Jay Beckenstein, co-founder of Spyro Gyra. This is the first piece that attracted Bruce to Dream Theater. “Surrounded” Keyboardist Kevin Moore contributed this piece, and you can sense the synthesizer lead pretty strongly. Complex meters typical of prog rock come through, but it's still an accessible piece. “Wait for Sleep” This short, beautiful ballad features LaBrie's vocals and Moore's piano work. ENTERTAINMENT TRACK: “Birth of a Penguin” from “Batman Returns” by Danny Elfman The film “Batman Returns” came out in the summer of 1992, and featured a cast of stars including Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Danny DeVito as the Penguin. STAFF PICKS: “Pretend We’re Dead” by L-7 Wayne brings us this all-female punk rock group who dropped this tune on their third and most successful album release. They have quite a past.... “November Rain” by Guns N’ Roses Rob continues Bruce's bent toward long tracks -- bringing us the longest single that ever made it in the Billboard top 10 - at over 8 minutes! Axl Rose came up with this song in 1983 (apparently what he would play anytime a piano was in front of him) - and it became an epic, multi-layered song in 1992. “Under the Bridge” by Red Hot Chili Peppers Friend of the Show John Lynch picks one of his favorite band -- showcasing the single that truly put the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the map. The song is about Los Angeles - the city of Angels. “The Church of Logic, Sin, and Love” by The Men Bruce's staff pick focuses on a one-hit wonder with a largely spoken word composition. We had to go to YouTube to find it in a video — which epitomizes many of the stereotypes of the early nineties, including the goatee... and televisions in swimming pools. LAUGH TRACK: “Kashmire” by Dixie Dregs This week's instrumental track returns to a well-known progressive rock theme covered by a strongly talented band with Southern roots. This one was recorded live at Center Stage in Atlanta.
For their first shows on home soil in over 12 months Ne Obliviscaris are bringing with them a stellar support group, headed by Brisbane's Caligula's Horse and rounded out by three international heavyweights in Allegaeon, Beyond Creation and Rivers of Nihil. It is a travelling extravaganza dubbed The Painted Progression tour and one which clean vocalist and violinist for Ne Obliviscaris, Tim Charles, struggles to contain his enthusiasm about."We're all kind of related but different", he laughed. "Caligula's Horse are obviously one of Australia's best progressive rock metal bands. Their last album 'In Contact' was just phenomenal and I guess they're a little more on the melodic side than some of the other bands. Allegaeon have a new album coming out in April which I've been lucky enough to get an advance copy of and I think it's the best thing they've ever done. Those guys are a really fantastic live band, really technical but with lots of melody as well and super tight live. Beyond Creation - some of our Australian fans will already know them if they came and saw our tour back in 2014 - are again a phenomenal live band; super technical but melodic in their own way and a great bunch of guys as well - as are all of the bands on the bill - and Rivers of Nihil put out one of the most surprising albums of last year. It was a real progressive wonder of an album with these sweeping saxophone solos and all this sort of stuff and we really felt they were a perfect fit for us in the way that the approach being heavy but also progressive and extreme at the same time. They do it differently to us but in a way that we felt was really compatible with what we're doing. Every band is a little bit different but they all kind of fit together".When Ne Obliviscaris first burst onto the Melbourne music scene in 2003 it is fair to say they were a breath of fresh air on a scene that was starting to choke up with progressive music. They refused to follow a set blueprint and instead set about forging their name in their own image, albeit it one which drew influence from some of the heavyweights of the time."Back then there was some pretty significant things happening in the metal world that impacted me", Charles recalled. "It was probably not too long before that that I discovered Opeth through their Blackwater Park album and Enslaved came out with an album and Dream Theatre had not long before come out with Scenes From A Memory. All of these albums were my favourite records at that time so when we were starting this band I never wanted to sound like anybody but the idea that you could be an extreme and really heavy metal band but at the same time be melodic and have beautiful elements to your music was something that I had kind of recently discovered and been inspired by. Some of those bands like Opeth and Enslaved that were doing that opened our horizons to the fact of let's not have any barriers when we write music. Let's just write music and if we think it's good it doesn't matter what genre it is. If it's metal or acoustic or prog or classical or jazz let's not care. Let's just try to write good music and not give a fuck what anyone thinks we should sound like and that's how we came up with our sound because I don't think anyone sounds like we do, and all we did was just try to be ourselves. We just tried to get rid of the barriers and let each member be themselves in the band. We're all quite different musicians and everyone has that opportunity in our band to have that creative voice and that shines through in the music I think".With their debut album 'Portal of I' in 2012 Ne Obliviscaris created a masterpiece that not only resonated with the fans but also had mainstream media singing their praises. It was one of the first times music of this nature had reached the ears of the mainstream and be met with appraisal and was a significant moment in Australian progressive metal music."That album was our first real attempt to create", Charles reflected. "It was our first album so it was our first attempt to create a piece of music that was exactly what we wanted and as a first attempt, it's never going to be perfect in every way. You learn something from every album but that was really something different to what a lot of people were expecting from a lot of the stuff that was being released in 2012 and so people would hear that record and there was a lot of people that either loved it and thought it was fantastic or they just didn't get it at all - which is fine as well (laughs), but it is that thing where a few people seemed to connect with it and it gave us a lot of hope and positivity for the band in regards to believing that as a strong first step we could continue to move forward. It took us nine years to release that first album and it was really, really difficult to just make it that far in the first place. There were so many times in the band's early career where we almost broke up. Our lead guitarist Benji is from France and his Australian visa got denied back in 2010 and he was deported and the band was basically on hiatus for 18 months and a few of the guys were talking about quitting the band - and Dan our drummer actually did for a little while - but thankfully we managed to get Benji back to Australia and the band got back together essentially and we released the album and when it did well it gave us the faith of hey it's taken us nine years to get here but maybe all the struggle has been worth it and maybe we should keep pushing and see what we can do with some more releases".Most bands would be content to plagiarize their own successful formula on their sophomore album, but not so Ne Obliviscaris who decided to add more jazz and flamenco elements to 2014's 'Citadel' - a move that only served to solidify their growing reputation."We don't really know any other way, to be honest", Charles shrugged. "We just write and however it comes out is how it comes out. We try not to overthink it. We don't think let's write an album like this or let's write a song like that. We just write and we really don't care what people want us to sound like, but we have the confidence that we can write good music so the bar that we set is for us to be happy and for us to think that it's great music. We have confidence that if we really believe these are the best songs we can possibly write at this stage of our lives then it will find an audience and people can connect with it. If it's different all it will mean is maybe some people won't like it as much but if it's good then new people will discover you and that was our same approach on 'Urn' as well which was different and the next album we do I'm sure will probably be different again and some people will like the older stuff more and some people might like the newer stuff more and that's fine. But if you try to do stuff to please people then you lose that genuine aspect to your music. We're trying to create art, it's not pop songs so we don't really care what people want it to sound like. We just want to make sure that we love and believe in what we're doing first and foremost".Kris Peters TOUR DATES Thursday, May 9: Lion Arts Factory, Adelaide - Lic/AA Friday, May 10: 170 Russell, Melbourne Saturday, May 11: Manning Bar, Sydney Sunday, May 12: The Triffid, Brisbane Tickets on sale from neobliviscaris.com.au

Dream Theatre's Jordan Rudess is about to take Australian audiences on a musical journey and HEAVY Mag sat down to chat to him about it.
Jordan Rudess (Dream Theatre). Andrew chats to Jordan about his November 2018 Australian tour.
You know what's great about Australian music? When the band are talented and dedicated to the cause, their legacy lasts a lifetime and they just continue to get better with age. That's one of the things we love about Dead Letter Circus who started out opening for bands like The Butterfly Effect, Linkin Park and Chevelle to becoming a household name and heading out of their own, large-scale headline tours and even scoring a slot on events like Big Day Out, Pyramid Rock, Sounds of Spring and more. The band are back with a brand new self-titled album and frontman Kim Benzie joins the podcast this week as our special guest co-host, chatting about the antics the band get up to in studio and flashing back to the time he joined Deftones onstage at Big Day Out after beating Chino Moreno in a game of table tennis, only to stuff up his part in hilarious fashion. Plus it's been a huge week for news with Download Festival announcing their 2019 Australian lineup with plenty of heavy acts to please even the biggest critic and podcast host Browny also discusses the backlash Avenged Sevenfold copped from fans with their new song, which they surprise released last week. There's also a stack of proggy-goodness tracks to tide you over from Polyphia, Voyager, Circles, TesseracT, Karnivool, Dream Theatre and Cog, New Music from Code Orange, Reliqa and Beartooth + heaps more #WoSUATW #DeadLetterCircus #DLC #KimBenzie #AustralianBands #ProgRock #ProgMetal #Prog #Polyphia #Circles #TesseracT #DownloadFestivalAU #DLAUS2019 #OzzyOsbourne #CodeOrange #TheButterflyEffect #TBE #Cog #Karnivool #Voyager #DreamTheatre #Deftones #AvengedSevenfold #A7x #Reliqa #Beartooth #MusicPodcast #WallOfSoundAU

A voice of a different kind. A voice of a cheesehead headbanger from Wisconsin. Aaron Camaro makes his official Decibel Geek debut with a quick history of his rock and metal background, his enduring fandom for Tuff, and why he would rather be on this crummy little podcast than sell-out to Top 40 radio. The Geekwire segment is officially introduced with a quick discussion about Geekwire contributor Mitch Lafon from Bravewords.com. You’ll hear all about Mitch (as if you don’t already know if you’re a regular listener) and why he’s the best source of info for current rock and metal news. We plan to have this type of rock news-related show every couple of weeks so you don’t have to strain your eyes reading it all the time. Next we go in-depth with Vinnie Vincent’s musical output this week. Buckle up tight because it’s quite a ride! We begin things with Mitch by getting his Alice Cooper Welcome 2 My Nightmare mini-review where Mitch shares his thoughts on the tracks and actually admits that he digs Ke$ha. Maybe we should reconsider this partnership. (just kidding Mitch) Anthrax’s new release Worship Music is next on the docket with Mitch’s take on how Joey Belladonna adapted to the material that was originally written for former vocalist Dan Nelson and how much of the album was re-tracked after Nelson’s departure. The discussion turns weird as we make our frightening predictions for the Metallica/Lou Reed collaboration Lulu and pontificate on how they actually surpassed Death Magnetic for the band’s worst album cover ever. Chris’ take on Lars’ recent revelation of the band being reduced to tears by Lou Reed’s lyrics reminds him how he’s been reduced to tears from Lou’s out of tune vocals (check out the video for What’s Good if you want a shining example. Discussion of KISS’ upcoming Monster album provides Mitch’s take on the title, what he’s heard from the KISS camp about the new tracks and the direction of the album. Mitch also mentions his disdain for Music from the Elder and Chris tries to convince him that some of the songs would work well in a live setting. Calls to Chris’ psychiatrist have not been returned. Gene Simmons’ upcoming wedding. Is it purely for ratings or has Gene realized that even groupies have an age limit? Chris and Mitch both agree that they are more excited about the next volume of Kissology and share their thoughts about what type of stuff is on their wish list for the next collection-o-KISS. Next Mitch shares information gleaned from a recently discovered video on youtube for Peter Criss’ Out of Control title track that features all sorts of strange footage including crime scene footage, mountains of cocaine, guns, and huge stacks of cash; or, for Peter Criss of 1980, Tuesday. The saga of Mike Portnoy and his multiple projects is discussed with Chris and Mitch’s take on why he can’t seem to stay in a band, what happened with his severance to Dream Theatre, and why is ego may be bigger than a southern state. Mitch shares his thoughts on the passing of Jani Lane and relays his experiences of interviewing him over the years. Chris also shares his opinion on Jani’s passing and he and Mitch delve into their takes on Warrant’s reaction to the news. We wind things up with Mitch with a discussion of the Morissey/Def Leppard press sparring that features Joe Elliott and the former Smith’s singer talking trash about each other in the press. The fact that a spat between these two is newsworthy tells you how sad the state of new music is these days. Nevertheless, we hash out the trash and Mitch points to possible trouble in the Def Leppard camp. Aaron Camaro helps us put a bow on this ear candy with his take on Gene Simmons’ pending nuptials and an admission of reality show fandom. Chris gets the last word with a teaser for the next episode that will include a discussion of Aaron Camaro’s side project that involves him hanging around with big, beefy dudes. We’re still trying to come to grips with it. Anyway, quit reading this and go listen to the show!
