Promis ON NE SPOILE PAS ! This week, we crash through skylights, tumble off scaffolding, and land (mostly) on our feet as we celebrate Elise's birthday with The Fall Guy — a stunt-heavy, meta-rom-com-action-comedy that somehow makes all those genres work together… barely. Join us as we lovingly suplex this chaotic gem of a movie and ask the big questions: Is this a rom-com or a John Wick riff in a trucker hat? Why is Ryan Gosling always crying perfectly? And what exactly is Hannah Waddingham doing in this movie? As usual, we veer wildly off-script and into delightful disaster. Elise reveals her deep thirst for hot messes and broken men. Nick and Manny debate whether this is cinema or just a very expensive flex by David Leitch. Anthony keeps asking, “But is it fun?” and we all try to answer — while dodging flaming barrels and narrative whiplash. Somewhere between an earnest homage and a stitched-together meme of a movie, The Fall Guy gives us plenty to cheer and jeer. There's full-throated appreciation for the art of stunt work, gleeful roasting of a plot that may or may not exist, and many passionate impressions of men named Colt Seavers. We might not agree on the rewatchability, but we do agree: Ryan Gosling can throw himself down a flight of stairs like nobody's business. Whether you're in it for the love story, the explosions, or just to hear Elise talk about her ideal garbage man (in the romantic sense, we swear), this episode hits like a flaming stunt car leaping through a billboard — messy, over-the-top, and absolutely worth the ride.
Jeff is on vacation this week, so it's up to Derek and Amir to pull off the rare double feature episode. In a week of dueling popcorn blockbusters, which crowdpleaser — John Wick spinoff Ballerina or racing drama F1 — will reign supreme? We talk Ana De Armas, Brad Pitt, and the highs and lows of both movies.

From pitbull attacks sparking heated debates to John Wick and a dreamy-eyed marine showing up at the bar, this episode dives into everything from cold plunges to 1864 baseball with lemon peel balls. Expect rants about Broadway musicals, questionable dolphin swims, and a questionable business idea called "Only Pans." Plus, hear about Jaws' accidental genius, a pig roast for Vietnam vets, and why you should never trust a dolphin or a therapist. It's unfiltered, unhinged, and unmistakably Opie Radio. Grab your phials of glowing green goo and prepare to ham it up as we talk once more about Jeffrey Combs, the Philip Madoc of Star Trek (that's a Classic Doctor Who reference) and three episodes where his many characters make large roles. Unfortunately, Weyoun is only in a few scenes of Deep Space Nine's ‘Ties of Blood and Water' and both Miles and Charlie try really hard not to get personal as Kira has to look after a seriously ill surrogate family figure, fortunately Shran more than makes up for it in Enterprise's ‘Cease-Fire' as Archer is drafted into helping settle a planetary land dispute between Vulcans and Andorans and we make a little detour to ‘A Few Badgeys More' as AGIMUS, the evil computer and F***ing Peanut Hamper plan mischief… if you're one of those weirdos who only listen to hear Miles swear, this episode is for you! Come back in a year's time probably for J3ff, more than likely.EPISODES MENTIONED: TIES OF BLOOD AND WATER (14:26), CEASE-FIRE (45:33) A FEW BADGEYS MORE (1:11:27)TALKING POINTS INCLUDE: Blowing up Objectivists, what elements of British films make Miles homesick, The Phonecian Scheme, John Wickend which leads to a wider discussion on John Wick, the Death of Princess Diana, our first Jeff episode does not have enough Jeff, Kira has supplanted Odo as Miles' favourite DS9 character, how Kira and Ace from Doctor Who are very similar, a long way from the ‘Prat' version of Bashir, Miles finds out something horrifying about LL Cool J, Charlie retells his one TATU story and the boys clearly have Heatstroke, Shram/Archer shippers must exist, Andorian soccer mums, accents, Andorian Antennae acting, we don't need the Koala-joke in Lower Decks explained, Miles actually compliments ****ing Peanut Hamper, Boimler and Tendi hanging out together always seems weird.PEDANTS CORNER: Jeffrey Combs is Ratchet in Transformers Prime, not Transformers: Robots in Disguise

On today's episode I start off talking about my weekly adventures in the real world. I speak about the forth of July weekend and almost giving my coworker a heart attack on our departure into the weekend. But before that I was doing an open mic and possibly met my future wife. I made fun of her and her culture while bombing on stage technically embracing her culture some might say. From there i get into an argument with an influencer hating on others likes, which i highly dislike.ONE IN A MILLION - SANCHEZDIPSET ANSWER - THE DIPLOMATS(00:00 - 22:25)I have a new not so new segment which is about movie reviews and spoilers. This week i speak about “ MEGAN 2.0 ” and it was different from the original. They made a total genre jump, from one to another. They seem to be going down the John Wick route which they seem like they want to franchise. It does get cheesy, but it is definitely worth a watch but i would wait for streaming. (22:26 - 30:40)I then jump into The Cool Report where I discuss the Diddy results so far and i must say I was right, He was found not guilty on Rico and trafficking. This is definitely a huge change of events since that decision was made. We are now wondering what's gonna be his next move after this because he still a dirty dirty man, but people may forgive him. From there we take it to Queens and talk about a diving school that was giving immigrants license that didn't know the basics of driving. Another story is that a man from Florida was deported as soon as he saved a life as the headlines would tell us but that was not the case a man was deported after the fact while he was driving illegally.(30:41 - 58:41)We then step into a segment where the listeners ask me 3 questions about myself or just randomness. A character brings up the latest marvel controversy about Riri Williams and considering her comments she made of Tony Starks. People were up in arms and making it racial as well. But i think it was the writers making poor decisions and people not recognizing she's young. Another character tries to take a shot at me about not having as many friends as them. I think they were trying to rub it in. We than speak about embarrassment rituals and I have no clue what they're until the Diddy trial ended. Still do not understand it but i take a stab at it.(58:42 - 01:12:17)Then we have 2 fans ask us a questions for PTL where we get asked the tough questions where we place ourselves in their shoes. Like how can we tell if this man's girlfriend is being racist or considerate. One move that didn't seem to be too crazy is being seen just as that, i think they're tripping, but you tell me. Another lover wants to get out of the 4th of July festivities because they do not like the vibes… not of America but the people around them, they don't have a high social battery and i get it.(01:12:18 - 01:20:12)THE FINi give thank to everyone that shows us love and wish y'all the best on the journey called life.(01:20:13 - 01:22:31)please continue to like, share, comment and subscribe.PEACE OUT!!!! John, as always, is hilarious, passionate and thought-provoking in this really fun conversation about the Latino influences in our culture and politics that has gone largely unnoticed. In a way only John can tell it, he describes his highly acclaimed 2nd season of "John Leguizamo Does America" as we hear about the 6 cities he's visited to take in the Latino influences, what surprised him in his travels, why people should know what they don't know about the Latino community and much more.
Braga, King, and Ski talk about John Wick 2. It's rare that a sequel is better than the original, but this movie was widely regarded as a step up. Same formula, same star, and new, fun ways to murder. But is John actually a baddie in this one? Listen!

Braga, King, and Ski talk about John Wick. It didn't reinvent the wheel, but it influenced every action movies after it. It also saved Keanu's career and elevated two stun men into sought after directors. It spawned a franchise. Is it any good? Listen!
#Ballerina #JohnWick #KeanuReeves The world of John Wick is ripe full of perfect spinoff material which is the most first world problem to have. Ballerina is one such spinoff that works perfectly because we were already introduced to this world in John Wick 3 due to John's affilation with the Ruska Roma. The character of Eve has a simple plight of revenge and this movie does a phenomenal job of seeing her dish out damage on her revenge tour. More than anything else, this film make you want to see more movies from this world.
On this episode of the Curb review podcast, Nadine Whitney takes us deep into the realm of fighting flamethrowers with the oddly titled From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, before whisking us away into the land of dragon fantasy with the live-action spin on How to Train Your Dragon, before she takes Andrew to a remote shark expedition in Queensland with Dangerous Animals.Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Bluesky @thecurbau. In this episode, Adam is joined by martial artist and action film star Scott Adkins! Adam kicks things off by questioning his own memory when it comes to recognizing show guests, leading into a conversation with Scott about how getting mugged at age 13 fueled his passion for martial arts. Scott shares insights on the difference between working on big-budget vs. indie films, what it was like to play a “fat guy” in John Wick 4, and how he stays in fighting shape. Adam and Scott also discuss courtroom sketch absurdities, the value of real stunt work in a CGI-heavy industry, and how AI could disrupt filmmaking. They shift gears to explore Ozempic's bizarre side effects, and end with stories about filming with Keanu Reeves. In the news, Elisha Krauss joins Adam to discuss Simone Biles' public apology to Riley Gaines and her comments about transgender athletes in women's sports, sparking a broader conversation about fairness in competition and the impact of public backlash in the digital age.
