So. Much. Goodness. In this episode. Dr. Jay Goodbinder is the guest for this episode. He is a doctor of chiropractic and naturopathic medicine, as well as the owner of the Epigenetics Healing Center in Kansas City, MO. His journey into health and wellness began in his twenties when he went looking for a way to heal his body of psoriatic arthritis. He tells a part of that story like this, “I had a doctor tell me: ‘I'm sorry, it's genetic. You'll learn how to live with it.' Well, I didn't want to live at all anymore.” Not ok with being on medication the rest of his life either, he wanted to figure out how to heal his body. And he did. And that eventually led him to where he is today, helping others reverse disease and find healing. He says the first two steps to healing are changing your diet and good testing to see what's going on in the body. As he says, “95% is not putting poison in your body.” We went into a lot of detail about gut healing. We talked about what gut health is, how you pursue it and what some of the common barriers to getting your gut health in a good place would be. Some of those barriers you may not have considered before like having been born not through the birth canal (non vaginal), pharmaceuticals like birth control, mold and high lectin diet.
