Author's Note: This podcast was recorded after Universal Music Group (UMG) removed its entire catalog from TikTok. Also, the song, “One More Song (demo)” was featured in the film ROCKBOTTOM, which is now on Prime Video NOT Netflix. It is a pleasure to welcome pop/R&B band ICYDAY to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.ICYDAY is made up of Sloane Morgan Siegel, David Bloom, and guitarist-pianist Isaac Cohen. Sloane portrayed the titular characters in Dwight in Shining Armor and Gortimer Gibbon's Life on Normal Street and appeared in Chartered, Game Shakers, The Goldbergs, and NCIS. Sloane voiced Robin (Tim Drake) in the Gotham Knights video game. David portrayed Kevin in Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, Stanley Zielinski in Gortimer Gibbon's Life on Normal Street, Josh in American Born Chinese, and Teenage Al in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. He also appeared in CSI: NY, Modern Family, The Goldbergs, and Arrow. Sloane and David first met on the set of The Goldbergs years ago and have known each other since they were 13. Sloane and David teamed up with Isaac to pursue this musical passion project. On January 26, the trio released their debut single, “Open Up” was released. The catchy, laidback single demonstrates the group's serious musical talent for crafting melody, blending elements of jazz, pop, indie, and funk into a commercial sound you can envision in the background of a film or your favorite coffee shop. “Open Shop” is an honest song about wanting to know somebody better, the ebbs and flows of a relationship, with tasteful R&B electric guitar and neo-soul sound. ICYDAY dropped their second single, a heartbreak love song called “Love Isn't Fair,” on February 15, followed by their third song, “One More Song,” on March 8. In this edition of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, ICYDAY shared their origin story, the stories behind their songs, and their take on using TikTok to build their fanbase. this is a comedy ""podcast"" btw believe it or not. It is a joke, it is parody, it is satire. It is not serious; it is not meant to be taken seriously. I do not condone the physical harming or even light harassment of real estate agents in any way shape or form. Do not call, text, or email Jeffrey Doussan or Keller Williams of New Orleans. Do not write funny bad reviews on yelp or google or furnished finder. Do not send pipe bombs or bomb threats to his house or any of his listed properties. I mean it! If you do any of these things you will be banned from podcasts forever. Thank you enjoy the show. Looking at rentals is really fun cuz real estate agents and property managers are some of the most redacted and oblivious people you have to trust with your livelihood. Recently I had scheduled to see a place and the guy no showed, no contact I messaged and emailed him multiple times and 3 days later he texted "apologies out of town." He then proceeds to try to reschedule immediately for the next day at 11am I say can we do 2pm he says no we can't let's do Monday 2pm I say okay Monday 2pm he says great I say great and then he says actually we can do tomorrow Friday 2pm i say perfect cool then Friday at 11am he says you must think we're crazy but we're actually just short-handed can you do monday 2pm and then i showed up today Monday at 2pm and the guy is 10 minutes late, I text the guy and he said "oh Philip's not there?" Philip the minion shows up within 1 minute of me texting, Philip says haha it's good thing our office is right around the corner and he points to a building literally right behind the rental and gives me the dorkiest fcking smile and I want to drown Philip in a puddle. We go to open the door and he doesn't have the right keypad code. I stand around in the rain for about 5 minutes while he calls and texts people and then he's like oh we can just try the other side of the duplex and I asked if the other side is the same layout and price and furnishings and he said no so I said no and so we sat in the rain for another 5 minutes and he finally gets the code and we go in. It looks like the last tenant had just left, all the lights and tvs are on and trash cans full, poop splatters on the toilet and it smells like cat piss. Despite this, I message the property manager that I am interested and would like to move forward with my application and he likes my message and says nothing else. $1400/month. a few years ago, a property manager was stunned that I requested to inspect the house before signing a legal document that said we conducted an inspection and told me I was the first person to ever do so. He addressed me as "Gay bro" in a text and it was never acknowledged $1754/month 440 sq feet #italiano #realestateagent #propertymanagement When you were investing in real estate, I studied the blade. When you were having open houses, I mastered the blockchain. While you wasted your days at the bank in pursuit of equity, I cultivated inner strength. And now that the world is on fire and the barbarians are at the gate you have the audacity to come to me for rent. It's free! Real estate! We're giving you land! It's free. We're giving you a house. It's real estate. Free. It's a free house for you, Jim. This is free real estate! You gotta bring furniture, but the house is free! Two bedrooms, no rugs. It's free! You unlock the door to your free house, we got you the real estate! It's a two bedroom house, its free, its got a pool in the back. I'm not carrying this around all day! It's for your house! As a high school football standout, he was awarded a full ride college scholarship. Unfortunately, injuries cut his football playing days short, which led to his entry in to the entertainment industry. In 1989, Bubba was called upon by his mentor Earl Gabbidon to provide personal protection to Country/Western singer Dolly Parton while she performed concerts throughout Arizona. Bubba toured with Pop duo Milli Vanilli on their West Coast portion of their tour. With gaining such a positive reputation in the entertainment industry for executive protection, Bubba was then recruited by the mega pop group New Kids On The Block as Jordan Knight's personal bodyguard from 1989-1994. He continued working with Jordan until 2005, even doubling as his Tour Manager as well. In 2006, Bubba decided to retire from the road after touring the world with numerous musical artists; groups and being the Tour Manager for Reggae group Morgan Heritage. Bubba made his first appearance on New Kids On The Block "Step by Step" music video as the drummer; which led to three additional music videos with NKOTB. He was also seen in NKOTB 1990 Pay Per View special "No More Games Live", and in the Disney MGM Studio's NFL Super Bowl Special "NKOTB Wildest Dreams" on NBC in 1991. In 1995 he made his film debut, when longtime friend Steve "Biscuit" Walker who was the original bodyguard for NKOTB and later solo Rap star asked if Bubba was interested in playing his bodyguard in a Feature Film "A Texas Payback". This is where Bubba caught the acting bug. He went on to be featured on NBC's "Unsolved Mysteries" as legendary music mogul Marion "Suge" Knight. The episode was dedicated to Tupac Shakur's murder in Las Vegas. In 1997, Bubba was featured in the film version of the UK's longtime running soap opera "Coronation Street-Viva Las Vegas". He also found love in the theater where he portrayed Pvt. C.J. Memphis in a "Soldier's Story" and the voice of Audrey II the plant in a a stage production of "A Little Shop of Horrors". After a time away from acting, Bubba was called on once again to play himself in Spike TV's reality show "The Club". The show dealt with the everyday happenings in the nightclub business in Las Vegas. Bubba returned to Hollywood in 2009 after making his return to the big screen in the film "Middle Men". Bubba also completed two other films as well "Columbus Circle" and "Our Family Wedding", where he played opposite Forrest Whittaker and Carlos Mencia as the Mountainist where he had his first fight scenes. All three were released in 2010. Since 2010, Bubba has been working consistently in TV and film appearances such as CBS's "The Mentalist. Bubba's first lead role in the film "Sideline Confessions" as retired football player Gregg Booker. Bubba has had many guest appearances on Nickelodeons "Sam & Cat"; his most notable character Bunny. Bubba took an 18-month hiatus from Hollywood and returned to his home state Arizona. Bubba was called upon by Dan Schneider, the creator of such shows for Nickelodeon as "All That", "Keenan & Kel" "Zoey 101", "Josh & Drake", "iCarly" and "Sam & Cat" to reprise his role as Bunny along with Kel Mitchel on a weekly bases in his new show "Game Shakers."
