Sweetbox versionaron a Bee Gees. Y los madrileños Rice&Groove, teniendo en cuenta que aún no han cumplido los 18, si crecen, que lo harán, serán la bomba. Cele iremos este fin de semana veraniego. Typically the 'If I Can't Have You [no one can]' trope centres a damsel in distress, but in this case, said distressed damsel is a cannibal soothsayer with parental issues, and he needs rescuing. Chapter 20, If I Can't have You..., in which Guy makes a choice and things get worse, is Carrie's last day to live. Season finale is the next episode! Disclaimer: I'm not doing the Sussex accent that Ricky's parents have, hope that doesn't spoil things for you!CWs: threatened lobotomy (by parasites), zombies/zombie abuse, implied incestuous siblings, horrendous family dynamics. Theme Tune: Gemma Cartmell
It's Tuesday June 29th and here are your latest Music News Stories Brought to you by The Filter. Britney Spears' sister Jamie Lynn Spears took to her Instagram Stories on Monday to share a message of support. “Since the day I was born, I've only loved and adored and supported my sister,” Jamie Lynn “I have made a very conscious choice in my life to only participate in [Britney's] life as a sister. “Maybe I didn't support her the way the public would like me to, with a hashtag on a public platform, but I can assure you that I've supported my sister long before there was a hashtag, and I'll support her long after.” “I felt like until my sister was able to speak for herself and say what she felt she needed to say publicly, it wasn't my place and it wasn't the right thing to do,” said Jamie Lynn. “But now that she's very clearly spoken and said what she needed to say, I feel like I can follow her lead and say what I feel I need to say.” Christina Aguilera has also weighed in on Britney Spears' heartbreaking plea last week to end the conservatorship she has been under since 2008. Aguilera, whose debut album came out seven months after Spears' first album, shared a message of support Monday via Instagram Stories. “It is unacceptable that any woman, or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live life as they wish,” wrote the 40-year-old singer. “To be silenced, ignored, bullied or denied support by those ‘close' to you is the most depleting, devastating and demeaning thing imaginable. The harmful mental and emotional damage this can take on a human spirit is nothing to be taken lightly. Every woman must have the right to her own body, her own reproductive system, her own privacy, her own space, her own healing and her own happiness.” In her message, Aguilera said the “conviction and desperation of this plea for freedom leads me to believe that this person I once knew has been living without compassion or decency from those in control.” Aguilera concluded: “To a woman who has worked under conditions and pressure unimaginable to most, I promise you she deserves all of the freedom possible to live her happiest life. My heart goes out to Britney. She deserves all the TRUE love and support in the world.” Aguilera and Spears – along with *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez and Canada's Ryan Gosling – were part of Disney's The All New Mickey Mouse Club before finding fame. Halsey excited music fans across the world yesterday when she shared a billboard announcing her latest album If I Can't Have Love I Want Power. Little more is known about the project, other than it is produced by legendary artists Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails Fame Thanks to John R. Kennedy for today's stories. It's that time of the year again where summer kicks off in the northern hemisphere which means Pride celebrations also kick off. For this 7th edition of Pride Anthems, I've reached back to the 90's and early 2000's for some classic, uplifting vocal house anthems. The set kicks off with the Almighty mix of Obsession's cover of "If I Can't Have You". Up Yer Ronson had a big club hit with "Lost In Love" and Almighty strike again with their remix of Diana Ross' "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". Division 4 delivers a punchy, uptempo remix of Mariah Carey's mega hit "Emotions" and Dirty Disco reinvents the Freemasons "When You Touch Me". Wayne G does a stellar job on Madonna's "Celebration" as well as "You Raise Me Up". I remember being in Miami and hearing Le Monde's "I Have No Fear" in the 90's and thinking I must get that. The Tom Moulton remix closes out the June '21 edition of Pride Anthems 7. Enjoy Anthony 1/ "IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU" (Almighty Club Mix) - OBSESSION 2/ "LOST IN LOVE" (Original Club Mix) - UP YER RONSON 3/ "AIN'T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH" (Almighty 12" Essential Club Mix) - DIANA ROSS 4/ "EMOTIONS" (Division 4 Remix) - MARIAH CAREY 5/ "WHEN YOU TOUCH ME" (Dirty Disco & Matt Consola Classic Tea Dance Remix) - FREEMASONS ft. If I Can't Dance It's Not My Revolution by Quantum Jazz 【延伸阅读】 *** 关于反家暴的求助信息 *** 为平反暴力热线:15117905157(推荐求助拨打) 微信求助号:equality-beijing 邮箱:equality-cn@hotmail.com 北京为平妇女权益机构官方网站:http://www.equality-beijing.org/ 【logo设计】刘刘(ins: imjanuary) 【后期制作】酿鱼 【收听方式】 推荐您使用Apple播客、Spotify、小宇宙App或任意安卓播客客户端订阅收听《不合时宜》,也可通过网易云音乐、喜马拉雅收听。 【互动方式】 微博@不合时宜TheWeirdo 微信公号:不合时宜TheWeirdo 不合时宜听友群:加入方式详见微博置顶帖 欢迎打赏:https://afdian.net/@TheWeirdo

We're back for Part 2! In the second helping of our conversation about Disney's Beauty and the Beast, we break down the 2017 live action reboot, the movie's presence in the theme parks, and our adaptation criteria. This time we talk about changes both big and small, character revisions, the yellow dress, the novelization, French characters who speak with British accents and apparently don't know French, object design, Gaston stomping cabbages, new curse specs, the mistakes made with the revision of Lefou, symbolic choreography, Evermore vs. If I Can't Love Her, the direct-to-video sequels, the time Drew saw three Belles in one theme park, plus find out which fairy tale we will be talking about in January!Music: Through The Woods by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com

I Believe. Help my Unbelief. Mark 9:24A sick child reveals what a man believes about God.(So will a death of a loved one; a major surgery; a sexual temptation; a job loss; a big viral pandemic; a money situation or a marriage conflict.)At first, he sells Jesus short: IF you can...Jesus calls him on it immediately: IF I CAN????????( seriously? I can I can I can I can I can! )And then: All things are POSSIBLE (not probable) for one who believes. Like so much of this kingdom work, it is about BELIEF. So the real question at the moment was not about the kid, it was about his BELIEF.So then, the father immediately assesses: I BELIEVE!And then assesses honestly: help my UNBELIEF.So for us, our belief is being exposed by situations. May we believe, and believe humbly enough to cry with the father: I believe. Help my unbelief.Listen and admire him with me.

From: Russell Brunson Boise, Idaho Let me know if this happened to you... As an entrepreneur or small business owner, there have been times in our lives where we've heard and we believed the idea of: "If You Build It, They Will Come..." Right...? And so we decide to start our businesses... We go to school and get our degrees... We create courses, write our books... Source our products, or start a service... Whatever YOUR THING is... Hoping that IF we create the best product or service, that people will come knocking on our door. And then we WAIT, for our future dream customers to come to us... But unfortunately, they never “just” come... Is that your story right now? Is that why you're here? Have you created something amazing, but you don't know HOW to get your dream customers to find you? Or, does your story sound a little bit different? Maybe you have a website or a funnel setup, and you're getting some traffic (or customers) to come to you... But the FEAR, of the next Google Slap... Or of Facebook shutting down, or even ban your account, like so many others have experienced is keeping you up at night wondering if you've built your company on a solid foundation. Have you ever thought... "If I Can't Get A Consistent Stream Of Traffic Or NEW People Coming Into My Business... Do I Even Have A Real Business?" On a fall evening in Corvallis, Oregon in 1967, 17-year-old Dick Kitchel, a senior at the high school, disappeared after attending a party. Ten days later, his body was spotted by two children as it floated down the Willamette River. He had been beaten and strangled. The investigation into his murder played out during one of the most dramatic years in America. Life in Corvallis, a college town, had offered a protective, idyllic life to many. But in 1967-68, Viet Nam, a presidential campaign, the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy, and the murder of Dick Kitchel changed that. His friends thought his death was ignored because Dick was from the wrong side of the tracks. Police and the District Attorney thought that they knew who had murdered the boy but never made an arrest. Decades later, a cold case detective believed he, too, had solved the case. However, once again, justice was elusive. Now nearly 50 years later, a classmate, New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Morris returns to her hometown to write about how the murder changed the town and the lives Dick Kitchel’s friends. Rebecca Morris is the New York Times bestselling author of If I Can’t Have You – Susan Powell, Her Mysterious Disappearance and the Murder of Her Children, A Killing in Amish Country, Ted and Ann, and other books. One of my favorite sci-fi films of all time is The Terminator. In case you have not seen these or the other Terminator films, the movies are about killer robots making war against the human race. I remember watching the film and being terrified, eventhough I knew it was just a movie. Now, I am just as nervous as I was then because the possibility of killer robots is more real than its ever been. Grant O’Brien shares his love for the original studio cast recording of Jesus Christ Superstar but stresses it’s not his favorite musical. It’s glorious, it’s weird and not a little problematic from time to time. He reveals the sexual confusion he had while in Catholic school and how he connected with his not-cool-enough-to-be-a-hippy father over musicals. Wait. Not cool enough? Grant’s Dad rode his bike with his twin brother all the way from Ohio to New York City to see the original Broadway production of JCS. That may not be “Hippy” but that is pretty cool! They talk about seeing musicals as a kid and how the best roles are the ones where you go out, steal the show and then go backstage to “have a jacuzzi.” Inevitably the discussion turns to favorite/least favorite musicals and then we get to....Cats. I mean what the hell is that musical about? These particular songs are ABBA’s “I Am The City” and Yvonne Elliman‘s “If I Can’t Have You.” Subscribe, Listen, Enjoy, Rate and Review!

Are you planning to start your own business soon but think you don’t have all you need? Today on the More With Moreira Podcast, Desmond talks to John Clarke, the author of If I Can, You Can, to talk about everything business. Just like him, you can start any business you want from scratch. From growing your knowledge to finding your team to planning your business exit strategy, we’ve got you covered. Desmond also emphasises the importance of being surrounded by the right people (mentor, support system, and loved ones) while you grow your team. Discover and learn more when you tune in. KEY TAKEAWAYS John advises two stages of the recruitment process. It’s important to know a team member’s attitude and behaviour towards work, co-workers, goals, etc. Be strategic when laying out the process. Don’t spend massive money on recruitment agencies. Make use of free social media platforms, especially LinkedIn. It’s easier to gauge if someone can be a right fit in your team once you see how they build their public professional profile. Every business has an exit strategy. Also, a part of the business plan is to make sure that the leadership role serves their purpose in meeting the business goals. If you think the business will flourish more when you let someone step in, then let it happen. Mental well-being is not something that happens to you; it’s something that’s within you. Keep your team’s mental well-being in check as it affects cooperation and performance. Always keep it balanced. It helps that you exercise daily and making sure that your goals (finances, career, business, etc.) are progressing. Advice for those who want to start a business: Get a mentor, read self-help and business books, share your ideas, and learn from the experience of others. BEST MOMENTS “You’re only good as your team.” “Over the 7 or 8 years, you learn lots of things. You have to do lots of things wrong often to get it right.” “You can’t grow a business when you’re working in it.” “Balance is the key in business.” “Whoever you are and whatever you’ve done, mental health is something to be managed.” VALUABLE RESOURCES Become A Key Person Of Influence: The 5 Step Sequence to Becoming One of the Most Highly Valued and Highly Paid People in Your Industry by Daniel Priestley If I Can, You Can: Transformation Made Easy by John Clarke The Streetwise Tradesman Mentor Podcast | Apple | Spotify | Stitcher ABOUT THE GUEST John Clarke is an entrepreneur, the author of if I Can, You Can, and the host of The Streetwise Tradesman Mentor Podcast. After qualifying as a plumber and a heating engineer in 2008, he started all of his businesses from scratch. He’s had years of experience in business, property, fitness, and mindset. Through his book and podcast, he aims to share his experience, tips, and advice for people who want to follow suit. https://www.johndclarke.co.uk/ ABOUT THE HOST I don’t know how this works, but you’re here now listening (hopefully) about my exciting life, so I’m going to try and make this worth your while. I never got inspired at school, I was too busy trying to impress my peers, chasing girls, and being a fool to get inspired. I rejected school. But let me tell you something for free! That was a mistake! I spent the next 15 years in jobs I hated, with no direction, lacked purpose, and motivation for life. Yes, big words, but that was me in a box. A slave to the system! Fast forward to today, and well, I’m not sitting in my ivory tower or anything, but I love life and my career. Yeah, it’s both painful and exciting rolled and wrapped up into one giant subway, and who doesn’t love subway rite? The point is, you only get one life, don’t waste it pursuing things you care nothing for, invest in YOURSELF and grow as a person, be the best YOU by putting YOU first! - Desmond Moreira, your host CONTACT METHOD Website: http://desmondmoreira.co.uk YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo6eVOt1YEQD0dxNkRXevVg/featured Twitter: https://twitter.com/Desmondmoreira Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/desmondmoreira

Shawn Mendes’ hit song “If I Can’t Have You” is so ridiculously catchy that Charlie had it stuck in his head after the first chorus. How is that possible?! Declamation, or the way that text is set to music, is a big part of the song’s appeal—every word that Mendes sings is perfectly in rhythm. In this episode we use Mendes’ latest track to explore creative declamation throughout history. How do artists from Whitney Houston to Queen to Taylor Swift keep finding new ways to sing the word “somebody”? Why did the composer Georg Friedrich Handel get in trouble for a bit of awkward text setting in one of the most famous pieces of Baroque music? And, does Beyoncé even know how to pronounce “sandcastles”? Finally, Mendes’ hit leads us to ask: is “incorrect” declamation is something to celebrate, or criticize? Learn more about your ad choices. On a fall evening in Corvallis, Oregon in 1967, 17-year-old Dick Kitchel, a senior at the high school, disappeared after attending a party. Now nearly 50 years later, a classmate, New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Morris returns to her hometown to write about how the murder changed the town and the lives of Dick Kitchel’s friends. Rebecca Morris is the New York Times bestselling author of If I Can’t Have You – Susan Powell, Her Mysterious Disappearance and the Murder of Her Children, A Killing in Amish Country, Ted and Ann, and other books. This week Dan, Ann, and Anonymous discuss public defenders and whether or not they're actually good lawyers. Dan describes his interactions with one of his public defenders as a juvenile delinquent and theorizes that the caseloads of public defenders make them ineffective at their jobs. Ann argues that public defenders are just as capable as private attorneys and also explains who can and cannot benefit from a public defender. We also discuss how young black males have their bad behavior criminalized and aren't afforded the same opportunities as their white counterparts (such as diversionary programs or therapy). Public Defenders What are public defenders and why are they available? Does the old saying, “you get what you pay for” apply? If I CAN afford an attorney, can I still use a public defender? Who pays public defenders? (State/Federal/City etc…) Is having a heavy caseload, being overworked and underpaid an excuse to suck? When, if possible, shouldn’t you use a public defender? Ask an Attorney (Extended): Ann attempts to answer multiple questions ranging from teenage abortions without parental consent, illegal seizures, placing a restraining order on a child you've given up for adoption, and more! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/blacklawpodcast/support

On this week's House Call: Why Am I So Stuffy? “I’ve always been congested,” starts this week’s first House Call question. “My digestion is great, but my nose is always stuffy. I have two dogs, so I’m thinking that might be the culprit, but I think it might be allergies.” Battling Headaches Our next reader writes, “I am battling these horrible headaches for the past 3 years now and they never go away. Help! What can I do?” If I Can’t Use Sugar, Can I Use Honey? The final question in this week’s House Call is, “If you have leaky gut syndrome, can you use honey in tea and coffee, instead of sugar?” Now I want to hear from you. Do you suffer from nasal problems? How about headaches? What are your thoughts on honey? Do you use it? Or do you avoid sugars? Leave your comments on my Facebook page. And if you liked this video, be sure to share it with your friends and family on Facebook and Twitter. Also, Tweet me your questions, and maybe next week I’ll make a House Call to you. This is an unusually exciting and variegated episode because it is the first of the X-Day Cross Section shows -- that is, a "best of" the many ranters and musicians who went on stage at 18X-Day. There are sermons by Rev. Fidd Chewley, Grill Ninja, Bishop Stick, Pisces and others; a NEW song by Andrew the Impaled, and a great "oldie" by Rev. Andrew Genus; lots of 6-Fisted Tales jamming, including one jam with a rap song by DJ Gravity ("Don't 'Frop with "Bob""), and, most horrible of all, "If I Can't Whup It I'll Go Down" by the reunited Drs. 4 Wotan (starring the Stang-Drummond-Wei-BobKat families). If only we'd had Ed Sullivan to introduce the acts. It's quite the variety show. NOTE: The digit formerly known as "The Pinky" is henceforth to be called "The Digger." We're taking a break from our run of listener suggestions to check out one of the classic albums of the '90s alternative music - 1992's Copper Blue by Sugar. Bob Mould has a new solo album out, so we thought it would be the perfect time to revisit his short-lived run with with this post-Husker Du power trio, especially since it's recently been re-released and remastered with bonus material thanks to Merge Records. Joining us to talk about Copper Blue is Andy Derer from the The Andy Derer Show, who's hosted a wide array of interesting guests on his podcast that include Cris Kirkwood of the Meat Puppets, Craig Wedren of Shudder to Think and Bob Nastanovich of Pavement, just to name a few. The Soul Arranger (part eight) - H.B. Barnum.Ok here's the lowdown, I hope you enjoy this latest instalment.Producer and arranger H.B. Barnum remains one of the unsung giants of popular music, collaborating with a who's who of acts spanning from Frank Sinatra to Puff Daddy. Legendary music producer and arranger H. B. Barnum, a man who has worked with an extraordinary cross-spectrum of performers, was born Hidle Brown Barnum, Jr. on July 15, 1936 in Houston, Texas. At age four, he won a nationwide talent contest for his singing and piano playing, which launched a film and radio career that included appearances on Amos ‘n’ Andy and The Jack Benny Program. Barnum recorded his first solo album at the age of fourteen as Pee Wee Barnum. He attended Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles, California. In 1960 Barnum scored a Top 40 pop hit of his own with the instrumental "Lost Love," signing to RCA later that year to release his debut LP, The Big Voice of Barnum -- H.B., That Is. Everybody Loves H.B. -- Barnum, That Is trailed in 1961, and while a handful of solo records followed, his performing career gradually took a backseat to his work as a studio arranger and producer. Upon joining Capitol Records in 1965 Barnum's reputation flourished. Often he worked in collaboration with producer and longtime friend David Axelrod, and together they forged an innovative orchestral jazz-funk sensibility much copied and sampled in the decades to come. Barnum's list of studio credits is remarkably long and distinguished, including sessions with Sinatra, Count Basie, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Lou Rawls, and the Supremes. But for me it was the less know collaborations with the likes of Spanky, Greg Perry and his involvement with the Motown great Holland Dozier Holland. By the mid-'70s Barnum shifted his focus from pop music to television, scoring countless series and specials in addition to composing myriad advertising jingles.career gradually took a backseat to his work as a studio arranger and producer.
