In this week's episode, we continue with “Week Three” in our 4 part Advent study of Heather's new book Encountering Emmanuel. We meditate on the vulnerability of Jesus as a baby and how He comes as one who is little so we can know that we are loved in our littleness. We also reflect on what it looks like to have hope, how to love with an open heart, and the deeper meaning of incense. Jesus' heart is an open place of refuge where we find the comfort and relief we so desperately need this Advent season. Their ministry exists to aid Catholics in pursuing lives in full harmony with Church teaching. By learning a fertility awareness method, Catholic women can be more in tune with their hormones, understand their fertility patterns, and plan their family in accordance with Church teaching. It is estimated that only 20% of Catholics have ever attempted a NFP method. CWCNFP's ministry exists to change that statistic. They believe all Catholic women and couples should learn a fertility awareness method, no matter their vocation or state in life. With online classes, they work with your busy schedule and offer classes in both Spanish and English. Many NFP courses can cost up to $300, but CWCNFP's classes are ALWAYS free. They specifically teach the Billings Ovulation Method ®, which is very similar to the Creighton Method. However, they know that the Billings Method might not be for everyone, so if a client would like to learn a different NFP method they have a special partnership with MyCatholicDoctor that allows them to learn any method of their choosing as long as they have qualifying insurance. With qualifying insurance, this NFP instruction through MyCatholicDoctor would be covered. In addition, teens or non-Catholics who do not qualify for CWCNFP's free NFP program will be able to find fertility awareness courses through MyCatholicDoctor, in which CWCNFP will assist with setting up. In this week's episode, we reflect on leading with our God-given authority rather than worldly influence. We discuss the importance of remembering our identity in Christ and how true authority is a display of intimacy that has been rooted in a real tangible love. We share the ways we may have been wounded by authority figures in our past, why these wounds can distort our perception of authority, and how to heal from these wounds so that we can lead others into the light of Christ. When do I perceive surrender to be a form of defeat? How has authority been misused in my life? How is God inviting me to stay with Him in faithfulness and obedience? Where do I need to be both honoring and honest? Discussion Questions: How often do you think God is holding out on you? How do I lose sight of God-given authority by seeking out worldly influence? What accountability do I need to choose surrendered, God-given authority over worldly influence? When have you felt safe under God's authority? How do you need to grow and mature to better lead and serve others? Quote to Ponder: “The fourth commandment opens the second table of the Decalogue. It shows us the order of charity. God has willed that, after him, we should honor our parents to whom we owe life and who have handed on to us the knowledge of God. We are obliged to honor and respect all those whom God, for our good, has vested with his authority.” (CCC 2197) Scripture for Lectio: “Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. In this week's episode, we reflect on the themes of resurrection, grief, and hope in Pope Francis' Easter Vigil homily. We chat about the sadness of unfulfilled dreams and the tender places in our hearts where we are afraid to hope and want to stay in the tomb. We also talk about the anxieties and worries that can come with trying to figure things out on our own and the importance of surrendering our plans to God. Just like Christ, we are called to walk through the sufferings of this life with Him into the Resurrection. Discussion Questions: How are you still living in winter during the spring of Easter? Do you know how to practice Resurrection? In what ways do you believe your dreams rely on you for their fulfillment? How do you intellectualize or explain away your dreams? Quote to Ponder: “Yet the same women who bore this darkness in their hearts tell us something quite extraordinary. When they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled back. This is the Pasch of Christ, the revelation of God's power: the victory of life over death, the triumph of light over darkness, the rebirth of hope amid the ruins of failure. It is the Lord, the God of the impossible, who rolled away the stone forever. Even now, he opens our hearts, so that hope may be born ever anew. We too, then, should “look up” to him.” (Pope Francis, Easter Vigil Homily) Scripture for Lectio: “When they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled back.” (Mark 16:4) Sponsor - Farm of the Child: Farm of the Child is a Catholic children's home, school and clinic in Trujillo, Honduras where children receive healing care from a team of Honduran staff, Franciscan sisters, and international missionaries. In this episode, I share how I set intentions or goals each season. Grab a pen or pencil and a piece of paper that you can divide into six sections (or fewer depending on what categories you choose to focus on). Once everything is written down, and you have a clear vision, it's important to break the intention into actionable steps for yourself. Scheduling events wherever possible in your digital calendar is highly effective. Setting "SMART goals": Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound is an effective way to ensure your intentions are realized. "Resilience is about taking a situation that could possibly break you and actually thriving as a result of the lessons that you can learn by going through that experience." - Nikki RogersAs I was preparing for a presentation on the topic of resilience, I reflect on the difficult situations I had to overcome in my life in order to be where I am now. I couldn't help but think back to a point in my life when I was faced with a difficult situation and thought I wouldn't be able to get through it, but I did. Those experiences that I thought of as a loss or a setback provided a great lesson in my life and showed how I have been able to leverage resilience to move forward in life.Don't miss out on this episode as I share a story 20 years in the telling, the definition of resilience in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the three key factors that can impact your level of resilience and ability to recover from challenging situations and move forward.Other Resources Mentioned:https://bit.ly/WTiBSurveyThriving Points:Resilience is about taking a situation that could possibly break you and actually thriving as a result of the lessons that you can learn by going through that experience. - Nikki RogersResilience is about the ability to go through and survive an experience that may challenge or squeeze you, or even rocks your world. About this episode: Host Kristen Cerelli talks to African immigrant "Leonie" who fled the same abusive marriage to save herself and her children, not once, but twice. In the process she lost her ability to practice medicine with patients, but she found an unwavering strength and ability to "just do it" that puts the cliched Nike slogan in its place. About our guest: "Leonie" was born in Africa, into a large family that valued education. She attended medical school, practiced gynecology and had two children with a very influential man who, despite his power, did not treat her with the respect she deserved. When the relationship became abusive, she fled with her children and has reinvented herself in both Europe and the US. In Episode 11 of Soul Inspiring Business, host Kara Chaffin Donofrio, interviews guest Claudia Coren, co-founder of Yeppoon Real Estate, a boutique real estate company in Yeppoon Australia. The firm was recently awarded a prestigious honor, Business Owners of the Year for Regional Australia, and topped 70% market share this past summer. Tune in now to hear how Claudia has learned to lead from a flow paradigm rather than hustle...and you can too! Episode Highlights: Kara introduces Claudia Coren, an inspiring leader, who alongside her mother opened their own real estate brokerage in Yeppoon, Australia. Amazingly, in just 11 years, Yeppoon Real Estate topped 70% market share this past summer. Claudia shares how she entered real estate by becoming her mom’s assistant for a short 6 month period and then falling in love with the business, which eventually led to the pair starting an agency together. Claudia attributes much of their business success to the strong work ethic and discipline that she and her mom share. They also value connection with their clients, and value the long term relationship with their clients over a quick sale. Claudia shares that taking time away from her business has allowed her business to grow and succeed at higher levels. Claudia used to be caught in a hustle paradigm, and now experiences more joy and more business when she operates in flow. Claudia has developed a morning routine of picking three things that will be awesome about the day and ending the day with three things she is grateful for. Kara & Claudia both share how they use affirmations to create and attract more prosperity. In Episode 10 of Soul Inspiring Business, host Kara Chaffin Donofrio, discusses how to access your inner guidance to assist in solving problems and decision making. Always remember that you are uniquely powerful, and possess an infinite amount of wisdom within. Kara will remind you of this important truth, and give you practices to better connect with your highest self and divine wisdom! Episode Highlights: In the past, Kara shares that she was heavily influenced by others, and often turned to mentors, coaches, and friends for "the answers" to any problem. While it can be positive to have a select group of people to share ideas, it is equally important to not allow another person's story to influence your own. Even with the best of intentions, your mentors, coaches, and friends are not you. They are responding with their own biases. In religious teachings, we hear time and time again to listen to our inner guidance to create a life of joy and purpose. Kara shares the way to begin your inner guidance practice is: 1) find a place that makes you feel at peace, 2) have a journal and pen ready, and 3) find a form of meditation. Kara explains that a simple way to begin the inner guidance practice is by connecting yourself above and below and writing down what comes to mind in that creative moment. About Dr. David DayDr. David Day is a Professor of Psychology at Claremont McKenna College and Director of the Kravis Leadership Institute. Day is a prolific scholar, a great conversationalist, and has served on the faculty at Pennsylvania State University, Singapore Management University, and the University of Western Australia. His goal - Make a Difference.Quotes from This Episode"You want to invest in your development because everybody needs to be a leader, even when they are not the leader.""How do you view yourself? What is your identity? What's your self-efficacy? What is your level of self-awareness? These are proximal outcomes of a developmental process that we can measure and will give us some idea of whether long-term change is likely to be happening.""So the whole notion of a leader identity is really important because it drives resource allocation. Our identity is basically what we think is important. And we invest our most valuable resource, our time, in what we think is most important.""This whole distinction that there's a leader and there's a follower is a misnomer. People are both.""Leader development is really about developing an individual to be more effective in leadership roles and processes, whereas leadership development is really developing collective capacity for leadership. We don't know a lot about the latter and we know virtually nothing about how the leader development piece informs the leadership development piece."Recent Articles by Dr. David DayKragt, D., & Day, D. Each episode of Optimize Automate Outsource is aimed at helping you find the tools you need to be more effective in the things that matter to your life. This episode features articles, practices Ari and Nick are applying in their own lives, and a few services. Listen in to the conversation to hear how job flexibility/workplace flexibility is becoming more of a draw for talent, how the presence of your smartphone in the room can lead to cognitive limitations, how email can be used as a task manager, and more. Job flexibility is becoming more and more important to job seekers If you’re trying to build a company you know how competitive the job market is right now. People with the talent and attitude you need are in high demand - so you need every advantage you can get. Surveys are showing that one of the things job seekers are looking for is job or workplace flexibility. Is there any way you can provide that? If so, you might have the edge in getting the talent you need. Ari and Nick talk about an article that reveals the findings of the survey and discuss situations in which it may not apply, so be sure you listen. Could your own stem cells be used to help you when you’re older? There is still a lot of debate and theory about the usefulness of stem cells. But the prevailing scientific belief is that stem cells could be the key to all kinds of genetic therapies and treatments. In this episode of OAO Ari and Nick discuss one company that is offering to be your stem cell “bank” (for lack of a better term) so that, should the science catch up with the theory you may be able to treat some of the health issues you face as you age with your own stem cells. It’s an interesting idea. Find out more on this episode. Could your email function as a task manager, reminder, and more? Would it be helpful for you if you could schedule reminders, send follow-ups and create calendar events with just a few keystrokes, directly in your email? Gopher is a new service discussed on this episode of OAO that is entirely based on native email. There are far too many features to be listed in this paragraph and the applications for its use are far-reaching, so take a few minutes to listen to Ari and Nick discussing the app. Nick’s learning Italian - for a very interesting reason. One of the things Nick has long felt he needs to work on is what he calls his monotone way of speaking. He feels he’s a good communicator but would benefit greatly from learning better voice inflection and expression. What’s he doing to correct the issue? He’s taking Italian lessons. So much of the language is dependent on tone of voice and inflection, he’s finding it very helpful. Hear the entire story on this episode and maybe you’ll discover a solution to YOUR monotone voice. :) Featured Resources Mentioned On This Episode [0:06] Ari’s travel schedule and events over the next few weeks. Ari and Nick met the team from Gooten at a recent event they attended and were very impressed with what they’re offering. It’s nothing new to have your logo printed on promotional or swag items, but there’s always been an issue with what kind of items can be created and the minimum quantities you have to order. No more - Gooten allows you to put your image on just about anything and in quantities as low as one. It’s a great idea and not as pricey as you might imagine. Check it out. Pulsed Electromagnetic Stimulation (PEMS) has nearly 50 years of medical/neurological applications and scientifically-proven health benefits and on today’s episode of OAO, we discuss a new device - the Elf Emmit that has come on the scene to help you align your body with your mind. It sounds a bit odd and requires that you wear a funky headband with a cable running to your smartphone, but if it works, it’s really cool. Pulsed Electromagnetic Stimulation devices may be something you should put on your radar, and you can check out one such device on this episode. A travel adapter you won’t mind using. Most travel adapters are bulky and don’t always work like you expect. But those days are gone with the advent of Micro, a mini-travel adaptor that’s got Ari very excited. And this one has a surge protector fuse to keep your devices safe. If you travel internationally you’ll want to see this. Get the money your health insurance company owes you. Welcome to this episode of Optimize, Automate, Outsource - as usual, we have some great apps and products for you to check out. One of the problems with time tracker apps is that they typically don’t allow you to differentiate the reasons behind your jaunts to Facebook, Youtube, etc. But now there’s one that has solved that problem. There’s a new app called Timing that enables you to categorize your activities according to projects you create so you can see how productive you've been and exactly what you've been working on. It even includes a pretty impressive timeline feature that indicates exactly when you did what. There are some other cool bells and whistles that make it a time tracker worth checking out - including client billing, auto-categorization, and more. Find it in the resource links for this episode. Now you can get the bulletproof effect from your coffee creamer. You’ve likely heard of Bulletproof Coffee - in fact, we’ve chatted with Dave Asprey, creator of Bulletproof coffee on The Leverage Podcast previously. The point of the coffee is to give a boost to brain power, which we can all use from time to time. Dave’s ingenuity has opened the door to other companies getting in on the brain-boosting-coffee act - and one we’ve come across lately is not aimed at the coffee itself, but at the creamer you put into it. It's Know Brainer, the thinker’s coffee. There are a variety of flavor choices, all which contain brain-boosting clarified butter and 1 tablespoon of MCT oil. You can also find special varieties for lactose intolerant needs, and more. A link is in the resources section for this episode. Never miss a scheduled conference call again. We’ve all missed important calls before due to getting absorbed in our work - but it doesn’t have to happen anymore. On this episode, we point you to a new service called Callr, which automatically connects you with your scheduled conference calls at just the right time. It doesn’t matter which conference calling service you use or what calendar you prefer - Callr can handle it. You may want to check this one out - it’s in the featured links section for this episode. Are you into bone broth? Here’s a convenient way to take it with you. People who are on Paleo-type eating plans know that bone broth is a staple, and it’s not always easy to have it available when you travel, visit family, etc. So the folks at LonoLife have come up with a way you can take your bone broth with you without sacrificing your eating plan. They have slow-simmered bone broths that are gluten-free, low-calorie, and low-fat in K-cup, tub, and stick forms. Sounds pretty useful, right? Do you need more space but can’t afford to build? Cover may be your answer. There’s a new company that takes a pre-fab approach to construction to provide additional space without the difficulties involved with typical construction. Cover takes the hassle out of building custom backyard studios, bedrooms, etc. by using a versatile building system that integrates with their design optimization software. No more coordination with architects, planning departments, and contractors - they do it all for you. It’s an amazing concept and makes a lot of sense. If you need space, Cover may be your answer. This episode of Optimize, Automate, Outsource features yet another list of links for you to consider to help you do more with the life you have. One of the most important aspects of that for any business owner is the task of process automation and optimization - and you know why, right? There are hundreds of things happening in the average business that are process-oriented and as we often say, many of those can be automated. We found a software service that enables process automation on a new scale, including connections with Zapier - which you know we love. Nick is quickly becoming addicted to this app so find out all about it on this episode. Do you need an automated call center? Here’s one we’re loving. We’ve tried plenty of call solutions in the past - including Ringcentral and Skype. For everything we tried, they were either too buggy and ineffective or had far too many features, which proved cumbersome for what we needed. But when we came upon a cool new app that integrates with Slack we found exactly what we were looking for. Nick and I talk about how OttSpot works and the ways it’s enabled us to do some process automation in our application systems, on this episode. This thing has heightened our team’s interaction and productivity to an even greater degree - which we like. Lots. Do you sleep with a white noise generator? This takes it to a whole new level. One of the new devices Nick and I chat about on this episode is called Nightingale - it’s a nighttime noise-maker that is designed by acoustic experts and audio engineers and claims to be the most effective sleep system on the market. When I hear a claim like that I have to ask, “Why?” Here’s what I discovered: Nightingale can be customized to your particular room’s architecture and acoustics by placing a unit on either side of your room - and it’s this two-unit system that makes the difference. They call it a "sound blanket." And besides all that, it’s IoT integrated. Find out more about Nightingale as we talk about it on this episode. Nick has been busy helping former inmates build businesses. Here’s his experience so far. Lately, Nick has been intrigued by the work of an organization called “Defy Ventures,” and for good reason. The folks at DV “harness the natural talents of currently and formerly incarcerated men, women, and youth and redirect them toward the creation of legal business ventures and careers.” It’s an amazing idea and Nick took part in one of their “shark tank” type events recently as one of the “sharks.” Can you imagine? Anyway, on this episode, he shares the inspiring experience and tells why he’s planning to join the DV team at another event soon. This is good stuff being done that seems to be pretty effective. Take a listen. Ever been to a 360-degree theater? Now you can make your own 360-degree movie. A new tech item we discuss on this episode is ORBI Prime, which claims to be the first 360° video recording eyewear. So picture this, it’s a pair of glasses you wear that has 1080p cameras integrated into it - even in the back. So you can capture and share 360° videos and images simply by wearing glasses - which you’re likely going to be doing anyway. It’s made from lightweight polycarbonate, is able to record up to 90 minutes of video, has built-in WiFi, is water resistant, and yada, yada, yada. This is a fun sounding toy/tool/tech item you’ll want to know about, so be sure you listen. Featured Links Mentioned On This Episode [0:35] Process Street - a process documentation tool. If I told you that this week's episode was with a "grandma blogger" who built her business on a pile of failures, would you guess that I was talking about Crystal Paine?! Probably not! But it's true. Crystal is so honest in this interview, as well as in her newest book: Money Making Mom: How Every Woman Can Earn More and Make a Difference. Sarah and I just love the way Crystal shares from her heart and holds nothing back. She's also incredibly passionate about helping women to get out of survival mode so they can thrive. You won't meet many successful online business owners who care more about giving than earning, but Crystal does! Listen on, Brilliant Business Mom, for a breath of fresh air. On the Podcast 01:33 - Is Crystal a Grandma?!02:56 - Can you Relate?04:49 - 2 Parameters Crystal Sets to Take Back her Time07:26 - Before You Quit, Ask Yourself This08:36 - Rejections, Setbacks & Failures...What to do10:27 - The World Needs You!13:38 - Spoiler Alert - Crystal has Failed at Things!15:58 - On Learning New Tricks Press Play on the Podcast Player Below to Hear from Crystal! Is Crystal a Grandma?! Crystal doesn't have any real-life grandkids, but she's considered by some to be a Grandma blogger! That's because she started blogging 10 years ago...when most people had no idea what a blog was. Crystal initially started a "mommy blog", but in 2007 she started MoneySavingMom.com as a side hustle. After a year she realized that it was growing so quickly and doing so well that it made sense to give it her full attention. Crystal now has a full team of people working with her -- including her husband Jesse of 12 years. Can you Relate? In the course of helping families to save money and get by with less, Crystal realized something important about her audience: There was simply a point for many families where they were doing everything right and no longer had a “budget” problem but really had an income problem. Can you relate? I know there are some Brilliant Business Moms out there who are brilliant at budgeting, but maybe you have a child with special needs and the expenses are just too great. Maybe you want to serve in missions more often, but the budget won't allow it. Crystal has been passionate about this topic for years but decided to wait until the timing was just right. She now has many years of experience with running a business as well as making mistakes and learning fromher failures. Crystal shares ways for women to bring money into their families by combining their passions, gifts, and skills and making sure it is a blessing and not a burden. 2 Parameters Crystal Sets to Take Back her Time 1. Crystal sets time parameters that allow her to give designated time to both her family and her business. One way she does this is by “co-homeschooling” with her husband. She teaches in the morning and makes sure to remain fully present and invested in what she is doing. In the afternoons her husband takes over teaching andmanaging the kid’s activities and Crystal is able to fully focus on her business. 2. Crystal recently took email off of her phone, and that has made a huge difference! Since she uses her phone for her alarm in the morning (Shoutout to the Sleep Cycle App!) it stays right next to her in bed. Having e-mail on her phone was causing her to be bombarded with “to dos”, stress, and ideas that were preventing her from getting a good night’s sleep! Before You Quit, Ask Yourself This Growing a business is hard! If you're on the fence and thinking about quitting, ask yourself this question: "Is my business a blessing or a burden?" Does your business give you the quality of life you wantfor your family or is it causing you to be stressed and continually unhappy? If your business is becominga burden look at how you can either scale back or change directions. Rejections, Setbacks, & Failures...What to do Even 10 years into online business, Crystal confesses that she still faces rejections, setbacks, or even failures! And it happens more often than the rest of us might think. There are also challenges involved in leading a large team that just make life a little more complicated. When things get really challenging, and Crystal is tempted to quit, she always goes back to her "why" Knowing her "why" keeps her going through all of the difficult things, because those hurdles are worth it when you've accomplished your mission. Crystal’s “why” is to inspire and encourage women to stop living their lives stuck in survival mode. The World Needs You! While there are plenty of books on the market that will help women make more money, Crystal wanted to send a different message out into the world - one that would remind us of the true purpose of money. Making more money isn't about building your own little empire - filled with nice cars, big houses, and beautiful things. Yes, making money can be a blessing to your family, but it can also make an impact on the world around you. Crystal knows what it's like to live life with outstretched arms. She knows what a blessing it truly is to serve and give to others, and she wants more women to experience life this way. So, get off that couch, Brilliant Business Mom, the world needs you! Spoiler Alert - Crystal has Failed at Things! Crystal loves to say that MoneySavingMom.com became so successful because it was "built upon a pile of failures". As with most successful entrepreneurs, Crystal is certainly not an overnight success. She tried a largerange of small businesses that failed. Crystal has sold on Ebay, resold books, sold handmadecloth diapers, and tried many different blogs! Before Money Saving Mom, Crystal had a blog foryoung moms, one for Christian women, a blog on politics, and a website about saving money. All of these blogs were flops! However, each of these failures taught her lessons that have made her the successful business woman she is today. Crystal always focuses on learning and growing in everything she does. In every situation, Crystal asks herself, "how can I make this better?" “The day that you feel like you’ve arrived is the day that your business starts to die" On Learning New Tricks Crystal has jumped on the Periscope band wagon and is loving it! Although she is an introvert she scopestwice a day and has loved being able to connect with her audience immediately and authentically. Notonly has Periscope given her access to a new group of fans and followers but she is also going outsideher comfort zone and learning and growing! (That's one thing we really admire about Crystal - she's always trying new things and finding ways to grow as a person!) Find Crystal Online MoneySavingMom.com@moneysavingmom on PeriscopeHead to MoneyMakingMomBook.com to get more information about the book and get Crystal's 5 Day Course on Making an Income from Home. Online Course Coaching | For Online Course Creators, Trainers and Entrepreneurs
How often has that split second of doubt shot down an online course idea that could have changed your life and improved the lives of thousands of others? It happens to all of us. We have an idea or we are asked to do something, that in reality we are more than competent to complete, and in that instant we doubt our abilities. We ask ourselves, “Why did John ask me to speak on that topic?”, or “Why on earth did Mary ever suggest I should create an online course on that subject?”.It would appear at times that others have more faith in our abilities than we have in ourselves. That others can see our potential, a potential that is hidden from us through a lack of confidence and self-doubt.The truth is we all have skills and knowledge that others want to learn.Sometimes our greatest skills come so easily to us, so naturally, that we don't place any value on them.Recently I was invited to be a guest on the LMSCast Podcast. When I read the topic that Chris had asked me to talk about I experienced that split second of doubt. In that moment I thought, “Hmmm, do I really know enough about that topic?”A crazy thought really, because it is a topic I talk about ALL THE TIME!Instead of collapsing into a heap, I calmly picked up pen and paper and started to list key points on the topic. In a matter of moments, I had identified enough material that could keep me talking for up to an hour. More than enough material for a Podcast interview. But how often are plans or magical ideas dropped in the initial moment of doubt?I'd guess more ideas are abandoned than followed through. Here's a little exercise you can do to prove to yourself (no-one else), that when it comes to creating an online course, you actually have more than enough knowledge in your chosen field.Step 1: Pick Your TopicChoose a topic that you are passionate about, that you get excited about when you talk about it.If you're not sure if anyone would be interested in your topic, ask your family and friends. Find out what skills you have that they admire in you and would like to learn.Step 2: List Out 10 Key PointsNow get a pen and paper and think - If I was showing someone just starting out, what would be the main things I would need to teach them. These could be tips and tricks, mistakes to avoid, best practices, etc.Don't worry about flow or the order of the points. This isn't what this exercise is about.Step 3: Record Information on Each PointNow get your phone or any other recording device and simply speak about each point. Talk about your experience, share stories, communicate how this point had an impact on your mastery of the topic.Talk for as long as you like on each point but keep the information focused, don't ramble and fill the time with fluff just so it appears you spoke longer. Two minutes of focused information is worth a lot more than five minutes of casual ramblings.Step 4: Review Your InformationNow go back and listen to what you've recorded and take note on how long you were able to speak about the topic. You may very well be pleasantly surprised. What you have now is the foundation for an online course. You have your main section or chapter headings along with ample material that you can reorganise into a course structure.I hope you found this episode useful, that it has assured you that doubt is normal but not something that should stop you in pursuing your dreams.Other Resources Mentioned in This EpisodeLMSCast - Learning Management System PodcastNeed help getting started with the creation of your online course? If you have a question about any aspect of online course delivery, from concept to market, please feel free to send me an email at AskTim@EcourseDomination.com.
