Living In Accordance With The Quran.

Atoms are incredibly small particles that cannot be viewed with the most powerful microscopes and make up everything we see, touch, and feel. Each atom is composed of a nucleus and a number of electrons in orbital shells that are located far away from the nucleus. Inside the nucleus are smaller particles called protons and neutrons, and its mass makes up 99.95% of the atom's mass, while it only occupies a tiny fraction of the atom's space. The strong nuclear force is the most powerful force in nature, and holds the nucleus of an atom together. Atoms are made up of a nucleus, which contains protons and neutrons, and electrons which revolve around the nucleus. The protons have positive charges and repel each other, but the strong nuclear force, which is 100 times stronger than the electro-magnetic force, keeps them together. This precise balance of forces is what allows the universe to exist and creates the tremendous equilibrium and design observed. Electrons are small particles carrying a negative charge, and therefore must obey certain laws of physics. These laws, however, do not explain the extraordinary escape velocity of electrons, the repelling force between them, or the force of attraction of the nucleus. All of these must be perfectly balanced for the atom to exist. This balance is only possible through Allah's power and will, as He alone holds all the forces of the universe in harmony. Thus, the atom is a testament to the intervention of Allah, the all-powerful Creator. Electrons have been found to possess both particle and wave characteristics, and it is known that light is spread in a similar way to ripples created on the surface of water. This perplexed scientists until Richard P. Feynman proposed that electrons have an inimitable "quantum mechanical" behavior. Scientists studying this behavior have been awarded prizes and honoured for their work; however, it is Allah, Who created the system, that should be praised for His infinite might, knowledge, artistry and wisdom, which is evident in the perfect measure, order, and equilibrium of the universe. From the smallest sub-atomic particle to the gigantic celestial bodies in space, Allah has appointed a measure for all things, and He created everything and determined it most exactly. When these electrons come back to their own shells, they emit photons. These photons form the colours we perceive. Electrons are integral to the formation of colour in our world, as they absorb photons which cause them to jump to higher energy shells, and then emit photons when they return to their original shells. This process is so complex that scientists could not explain it and called it "Quantum Mechanical Motion". However, the only answer to the question of why this process works is Allah, the Creator of the universe who brought it into existence with extraordinary balances and equilibriums. Notes: 13. Many appreciate Richard P. Feynman's contributions to twentieth-century physics, but few realize how engaged he was with the world around him -- how deeply and thoughtfully he considered the religious, political, and social issues of his day. Now, a wonderful book -- based on a previously unpublished, three-part public lecture he gave at the University of Washington in 1963 -- shows us this other side of Feynman, as he expounds on the inherent conflict between science and religion, people's distrust of politicians, and our universal fascination with flying saucers, faith healing, and mental telepathy. Here we see Feynman in top form: nearly bursting into a Navajo war chant, then pressing for an overhaul of the English language (if you want to know why Johnny can't read, just look at the spelling of "friend"); and, finally, ruminating on the death of his first wife from tuberculosis. This is quintessential Feynman -- reflective, amusing, and ever enlightening.

The New York Times best-selling sequel to "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" Like the "funny, brilliant, bawdy" (The New Yorker) "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" this book's many stories―some funny, others intensely moving―display Richard P. Feynman's unquenchable thirst for adventure and unparalleled ability to recount important moments from his life. Here we meet Feynman's first wife, Arlene, who taught him of love's irreducible mystery as she lay dying in a hospital bed while he worked on the atomic bomb at nearby Los Alamos. We listen to the fascinating narrative of the investigation into the space shuttle Challenger's explosion in 1986 and relive the moment when Feynman revealed the disaster's cause through an elegant experiment: dropping a ring of rubber into a glass of cold water and pulling it out, misshapen. In "What Do You Care What Other People Think?" one of the greatest physicists of the twentieth century lets us see the man behind the genius.

One of the most famous science books of our time, the phenomenal national bestseller that "buzzes with energy, anecdote and life. It almost makes you want to become a physicist" (Science Digest). Richard P. Feynman, winner of the Nobel Prize in physics, thrived on outrageous adventures. In this lively work that “can shatter the stereotype of the stuffy scientist” (Detroit Free Press), Feynman recounts his experiences trading ideas on atomic physics with Einstein and cracking the uncrackable safes guarding the most deeply held nuclear secrets―and much more of an eyebrow-raising nature. In his stories, Feynman's life shines through in all its eccentric glory―a combustible mixture of high intelligence, unlimited curiosity, and raging chutzpah. Included for this edition is a new introduction by Bill Gates.

Quote to learn for todayWe absolutely must leave room for doubt or there is no progress and no learning. There is no learning without having to pose a question. And a question requires doubt. People search for certainty. But there is no certainty.-Richard P. Feynman翻译我们绝对必须留下怀疑的余地,否则就没有进步,也没有学习。

You enter kindergartens once you're 18 years old, school becomes your full job 5 days a week, 10 months a year for 15 years. And even though most people spend their time in school, get a degree in college and quickly move on to living their lives, they rarely remember all the stuff they learned back in the days of school and college. And the main factor for this happening is that most people don't digest and understand stuff taught at school, all over the world people are being taught answers to exams not the education, memorizing it and then forgetting it, so you can make room for the next one and repeating the process over and over again, I mean it is the same thing Richard P. Feynman experienced back in Brazil. School should be fun and enjoyable, but what we are witnessing now is that school is killing peoples desire to learn. What do you think ?

Every so often I get in my head. About so many things, but the big looming question is - What is all this? What is life? When I get stuck in my own head, I try to turn it around. This episode is an exploration of the process of turning it around, getting unstuck, and redefining the focus. I use Richard P. Feynman's impromptu speech “Fun to Imagine” as a supplement and vessel to steer a clear path.

At the 2021 Ancestral Health Symposium (AHS) in Los Angeles last month I was able to catch up with microbiome researcher and writer Lucy Mailing, PhD. This year Lucy presented on the topic of Rewilding the Gut, noting the detrimental effects of our modern environment, diet, and lifestyle on the gut microbiome. Lucy has been on the podcast twice before, talking about optimising the gut microbiome and debunking microbiome myths and misconceptions. Lucy's research and writings are truly cutting-edge and have consistently shaped our recommendations and approach to gut health with our clients.  On this podcast, Lucy shares some of the concepts she outlined during her AHS Talk, including the specific aspects of modern living that interfere with microbiome diversity and establishing a basis for chronic disease.  She talks about the hygiene hypothesis, including the need for early childhood exposure to microbes, and some of the best ways to support a healthy gut ecosystem. Depending on who you listen to, quantum computers are either the biggest technological change coming down the road or just another overhyped bubble. Today we're talking with a good person to listen to: John Preskill, one of the leaders in modern quantum information science. We talk about what a quantum computer is and promising technologies for actually building them. John emphasizes that quantum computers are tailor-made for simulating the behavior of quantum systems like molecules and materials; whether they will lead to breakthroughs in cryptography or optimization problems is less clear. Then we relate the idea of quantum information back to gravity and the emergence of spacetime. Ellen is one of the leading scientists of our time, and her infectious energy and enthusiasm for science make her an amazing guest. Ellen loves to use metaphors and likes to imagine that she's a transcription factor in a cell's nucleus. She stresses how a detailed and explicit knowledge structure is crucial, so that you can recognise an interesting piece of data when it hits you. Ellen researches the molecular mechanisms responsible for the decisions made by stem cells as they develop into a type of immune cells. This is a complex process that offers unique insights into the nature of "stem cell-ness". Literatur: Richard P. Feynman, Robert B. This book is about the interesting life of Nobel Prize winner Richard P. Feynman. Richard P. Feynman was acknowledged by many as the most intelligent scientist after Einstein. However, Feynman’s life was not all about physics. His hobbies ranged from cracking open safes and making bets, to playing pandeiro.   Though surprising, this is true. This man, whom Bill Gates and Steve Jobs regarded as an idol, had a mischievous personality and was always full of passion. Since childhood, Feynman was unconventional by nature. The first time the wife of the Dean of the Princeton Graduate College met him, she exclaimed, "Surely you're joking, Mr. Feynman!” Feynman was born full of curiosity for everything. With his father's guidance and education, he had a strong desire for knowledge since childhood. Although most of the book centers on Feynman's jokes and mischief, between the lines we can see the traces of Feynman's genius.  This book revolves around the anecdotes that occurred in Feynman's life starting from his childhood. He grew up with a persistent personality, being determined to thoroughly figure out all that he was interested in. In addition, he did not study for usefulness, but instead simply for fun. Even when he later joined the "Manhattan Project" that created the atomic bomb, Feynman continued on in his pranking ways.

As a creator, you will naturally have ideas for things that you want to create. The problem most people run into is turning those ideas into realities. When we talk about taste, we mean those things you want to create. Those ideas are influenced by the things you love, filtered through your brain, and given a unique spin or angle. The challenge is to match your ability to your creative imagination. It's OK if your ability isn't there yet. Everybody starts somewhere.Main takeaways Creative people want to be able to create what's in their mind and make it a reality. But, early on, they have trouble making that vision come to life. This is normal and you have to push through it and put in the time. Patience is what's going to close the gap between what you want to make and your ability to make it. To develop taste, you need to document what you love, be exposed to new people, places, and experiences, and reflect on what and why you like those things. It's important to then share your ideas. Start copying. If you can figure out how to recreate what you love, you can deconstruct the process and start learning what makes that thing special.  Creators of the day  Noa Kageyama: The Bulletproof Musician Mary of Leather Beast Resources of the day Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman! The Berean Manifesto

Hello and welcome to season 2 episode 65 of The Berean Manifesto, brought to you by The Ekklesian House.  This is Pastor Bill, and over the next 10 minutes, or so, we are going to be wrapping up our two-part series looking at the heart.  In part one we focused on three areas where the world today, and indeed believers as well, have a heart problem. The first that we covered was our focus, when our focus is on the spirit and the things of God then we're in tune to be able to receive revelation from, and please God.  But, we're never more like Satan, the father of lies, when we focus on and follow our heart. The second was this unbiblical fantasy of premarital crushes, dating, and romance that distracts us from seeking and serving The Lord.  There's nothing wrong with getting married, but biblically, it's better to stay single unless you absolutely can't control your lustful desires.  And with the divorce rates of believers being roughly the same as unbelievers we should honestly consider a better way. Lastly, we talked about the false belief that if you don't physically do something, then you've done nothing wrong.  Whereas, Jesus teaches that if you even entertain the thought of the sinful action instead of taking it captive, then it's the same as if you had physically done it. In part two here we're going to pivot a bit.  You know, the heart is this amazing organ that not only starts beating before you even have a brain, delivers oxygen to every part of your body, but Proverbs 4:23 CSB tells us that the heart, “[23] …is the source of life.”  For a long time, the common scientific belief was that the heart was just an organ and that the brain was the seat of all thought and identity.  This belief has evolved over the last three or four decades to one that more closely resembles what the Bible teaches. In the late 1980s in Vienna, Austria scientists conducted interviews of those who had received heart transplants over the course of two years.  Six percent of those interviewed found themselves with preference and behavior changes that matched the donor of their heart versus what they found natural before their procedure.  Fifteen percent of participants indicated they had changed but attributed the change to the near-death circumstances of having the heart transplant and a new zest for life.  The remaining seventy-nine percent, when asked if they had noticed changes consistent with the preference and behavior of their donor (and now I'm quoting from the study) “showed massive defense and denial reactions, mainly by changing the subject or making the question ridiculous.” (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1299456)  In my personal experience, this last seventy-nine percent responded in a way that confirms they had indeed noticed these changes in themselves but were in denial due to it being in direct confrontation with what their reticular activation system was telling them was the truth. This phenomenon is more common than you may think. Claire Sylvia, after having a heart and lung transplant, started having strange cravings for things she had never liked; green peppers, Snickers bars, McNuggets...  In addition to this, after her transplant, she started having dreams about a thin young man who in her dreams she knew was named Tim.  She felt like this was more than mere coincidence and went searching obituaries only to learn that a young man named Tim had died in a motorcycle wreck on the day of her transplant on his way home from McDonald's with a bag of McNuggets inside his jacket.  She met his family who confirmed she had received his organs and that her new cravings were all the things that Tim loved. Jamie Sherman awoke from her heart transplant with a craving for cheese enchiladas and overwhelming anger that made her want to fight someone.  Six months later she learned that her donor's favorite food was cheese enchiladas and that he had died in a bar fight. What we're dealing with here is the reality that your DNA records the experiences of your life.  Those details, that data, is then referenced for the rest of your life in cell replenishment, fat storage, influencing your thought processes in one way or another, ect…  If you have children, then all the data stored before that birth is passed on as the initial building blocks of their biology.  Every cigarette smoked, movie watched, car wreck, fight, and meal eaten, all stored in your cells and either passed on to the next generation or left to decay in death. Amazingly, researchers have discovered that DNA can store not just biological data but can be utilized to store digital data.  The kind of data that makes up the pictures you post on social media or that make up the zeros and ones of this podcast.  The concept was dreamed of in 1959 by physicist Richard P. Feynman, with the first successful storage of data by researches at Harvard in 1988.  In 2017 it was discovered that one gram of DNA can store up to two hundred and fifteen petabytes of digital data.  For a frame of reference, that's two hundred and fifteen thousand terabytes.  Like the terabyte external hard drives they sell at Walmart.  In fact, to purchase the equivalent storage space from Walmart that one gram of DNA can store would cost you eleven million, three hundred and ninety-five thousand dollars ($11,395,000).  In 2019 a team from The University of Washington and Microsoft announced they had created an automated system for storing and retrieving data from DNA, much like the system your phone, tablet, and laptops use to store and retrieve data.  Also in 2019, another group of researchers announced they had used synthetic DNA to create structures similar to the operating system of a computer that they then could perform query operations on.  Those query operations are what run your technology behind the scenes.  They've built a computer out of DNA, rudimentary at best now.  What about in ten years, fifteen years, twenty years. While DNA storage doesn't just happen in the heart, I believe that's where it starts, Proverbs 27:19 CSB tells us, “[19] As water reflects the face, so the heart reflects the person.”  The data, or experience, that makes up you.  Your mind, will, and emotions; your soul as it were, would seem to be stored in the heart and then transferred to the cells of your body using your blood cells as a transfer system. Jeremiah 17:9 CSB says, “[9] The heart is more deceitful than anything else, and incurable – who can understand it?”  Such a blanket statement, but when we consider the DNA research we just talked about, it makes sense.  The heart is the first organ to form in the womb, and it isn't created from a blank slate.  It's formed from the genetic data passed down from the parent's DNA, including data from their parents, and their parents, and so on back for countless generations as far back as Adam. We have a heart problem, but we also serve a good God.  Psalm 119:10-11 CSB says, “[10] I have sought you with all my heart; don't let me wander from your commands. [11] I have treasured your word in my heart so that I may not sin against you.”  At some point the Christian decides enough is enough and takes control of their heart, forcing it towards God.  Then a hunger for the things of God draws them to learn more about God and hope becomes a reality instead of a wish.  Romans 5:5 CSB says, “[5] This hope will not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” When we talked in the last episode about Peter being in tune with God and then later following his heart and being compared to Satan.  Peter was at a disadvantage that we don't suffer from.  We live in a time where The Holy Spirit has been poured out, and all believers have The Holy Spirit.  You may have never relinquished control to Him in what we call the baptism of The Holy Spirit, but every believer has The Holy Spirit, but every believer has that access.  Has that possession of the Holy Spirit.  In closing, when Paul says in Romans 12:2 CSB, “[2] Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,” he isn't talking about your brain, the word he's used means thought, feeling, or will.  Paul is talking about renewing the deepest part of your being, your soul, your heart. This is Pastor Bill saying, “Until next time…”

The human brain is like nothing else. It's only 3 pounds and from the outside layer, it just sort of looks like a round, corrugated grey blob with the consistency of something between jelly and cold butter. It doens't expand or shrink like the lungs, pump like the heart, or secrete visible material like the bladder. But inside this unprepossesing structure that caps the body, lies the most complex structure we've yet encountered in all our probings of the universe. It's the seat of consciousness: able to think about itself, no to mention the environment it resides in. It autonomously keeps the rest of the body in motion, our emotions balanced, our chemicals at near ideal ratios. It even has a boggling adaptive nature that can compensate and maintain relatively normal functioning even if huge parts of it are destroyed. And although technology is allowing us more insight than ever, we still haven't the fainest clue what makes us awake and aware of the world around us. Let's find out a little about the brain and the steps we've taken to explore it so far. Thanks for watching. A star is type of astronomical object consisting of a luminous spheroid of plasma held together by its own gravity. The nearest star to Earth is the Sun. Many other stars are visible to the naked eye from Earth during the night, appearing as a multitude of fixed luminous points in the sky due to their immense distance from Earth. Historically, the most prominent stars were grouped into constellations and asterisms, the brightest of which gained proper names. Astronomers have assembled star catalogues that identify the known stars and provide standardized stellar designations. However, most of the stars in the Universe, including all stars outside our galaxy, the Milky Way, are invisible to the naked eye from Earth. Indeed, most are invisible from Earth even through the most powerful telescopes. Thanks for watching. In today's episode of The Art of Passive Income, Mark and Scott talk with Stephen Shapiro—StephenShapiro.com. Stephen is a big deal. He is in the business of company innovation and helps companies like 3M, Proctor and Gamble, Nike, and Marriott improve their innovation practices. Stephen is also the author of four books and has spoken to audiences in 50 different countries. Before Stephen became an expert in innovation and helping companies grow he was working at the opposite end of the spectrum in business optimization, which meant he was helping companies shrink and in the process people were losing their jobs. Seeing the impact it had on those who lost their jobs, he decided that he didn't want to be part of that process anymore. So, he took a leave of absence and then decided to focus on innovation and growth. He created a 20,000 person practice and has never looked back since… that was over 20 years ago. Join us as Stephen dives deep into the approach of business innovation, including: The real definition of innovation How he convinces big companies to innovate instead of cut Where he sees companies struggling The worst advice he has seen given Plus, so much more! You can cut expenses and become optimized, however, you can't cut your way to success. If you start cutting out all the expenses then the revenue is going to take a hit too because the two of them work hand in hand. There is no end date in innovation. You don't reach your goals then take your foot off the accelerator and expect your company to keep going at status quo. Innovation is constantly changing and evolving with the market and it's important to stay on top of your game and always look for new ways to grow and stay relevant in the market. Jeff Bezos is a good example of that. Jeff founded Amazon nearly 25 years ago, it's the largest online retailer in the world and his foot is still on the gas pedal. They are still innovating like they are new. He's set this long-term time horizon that says, “We are not dealing with today—we are dealing with 500 years from now. We are not done—We haven't even begun.” Listen in as we travel deep into the world of business innovation, and find out which 3 CEOs Stephan would invite to dinner and what question he would ask them. Stephen's book recommendations:  Best Practices Are Stupid: 40 Ways to Out-Innovate the Competition written by himself Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!: Adventures of a Curious Character -Richard P. Feynman Man's Search for Meaning -Viktor E. Frankl Orbiting the Giant Hairball: A Corporate Fool's Guide to Surviving with Grace -Gordon MacKenzie TIP OF THE WEEK Mark: Learn more about Stephen and true innovation the right way at StephenShapiro.com. Scott: Check out Checkiday.com. It shows you holidays that you can weave into marketing emails. Stephen:  Check out PersonalityPokerGame.com. It's a tool for teamwork. John FitzSimons earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) from Purdue University and has worked at Motorola, Northrop Grumman and now currently at GoogleX working on drones. At Motorola John helped design cell phones starting out in battery charging, moving into display technology, and then into high speed processor design. Jon then moved to Northrop Grumman designing Electronic Warfare (EW) equipment. His expertise is high speed processing and then interfacing that processing power to the outside world. At GoogleX working on drones, while is pilots license is not 100% applicable, he says it has helped. Outside of work he has done some glass blowing and metal work which has been quite interesting. John provides advice that college is a place where you should try to take in as many experiences as you can and you need to take time during the day to re-charge. Today on the podcast, Michael Covel discusses certainty and uncertainty. When it comes to tomorrow, Covel is majorly uncertain. He doesn't know what's going to happen. He can think of the worst case scenarios, though; a Stoic tradition. Many people today figure the crisis of '08 was a few years back, the Fed has everything figured out, and the stock market is at all time highs. There's nothing to be worried about. Covel reads several quotes to start off the podcast, from Gilda Radner and Richard P. Feynman. Covel questions why most investors don't think like this, and notes that 59% of US investors believe the markets can be predicted. Covel discusses the trend following mindset in contrast, and moves on to talk about Ray Dalio and his 100% systematic trading strategy based on fundamentals. But how do you know when you have enough fundamental data to make a decision? How do you account for the remaining uncertainty? Covel explores. Next, Covel talks about using simple heuristics to make decisions. The simplest factor to follow is the price. That's the only thing you can be certain about. So if you can make decisions off price movement, and use that as a simple heuristic for your buying and selling decisions, you might have something that works for dealing with market uncertainty. From a trend following perspective, simple heuristics is all about trading the price. Free DVD: www.trendfollowing.com/win.
