I also explain how I interpret blood work patterns instead of fixating on single numbers, and how recovery, sleep, and fueling are playing a bigger role for me right now than simply adding more volume. If you care about long-term performance, body composition, and understanding what your numbers actually mean instead of guessing, this episode will give you a practical framework you can apply to your own training and health.Let's talk about:IntroductionPerformance building phaseWeekly nutrition staplesSupplementsMuscle growthBlood workTotal testosterone vs free testosteroneSHBGReverse T3 + T3 stress patternRecovery strategiesSleepHS-CRP + creatinine nuanceTraining splitFollow me on Instagram for more information and education: @jeffhoehn_FREE 30 Min Strategy Call: HEREBody Recomp Checklist 2.0 HERENutrition Periodization Masterclass: HEREHow You Can Work With Me?: HERECoaching application: HERE

Perimenopause does not have to be the beginning of decline, but can instead be the start of your strongest chapter! In this inspiring success story, Louise, a leading expert for perimenopausal active women and runners, sits down with Jen, an everyday runner and mom who transformed her health, hormones, and body composition after years of frustration. Jen shares how anxiety, overtraining, fasting, and misinformation left her injured and stuck, despite doing everything she thought was “right.” The turning point came when she learned to fuel her body to build beautiful hormones and mitigate symptoms, apply specific targeted strength training, adjust her running, and work with her hormones instead of against them.Listeners will take away a powerful reminder that thriving in perimenopause does not require extreme diets or complicated protocols. Simple yet strategic consistent habits are often the most effective. This episode also highlights how community support, understanding your body's signals, and using whole foods strategically can improve energy, reduce inflammation, and restore confidence. If you feel discouraged by changing hormones, stubborn belly fat, being told there is nothing you can do about your genetic predispositions, or frustrating injuries that make you question your future as an active woman, Jen's story shows what is possible with the right approach, support, and mindset.RESOURCESLearn with my free nutrition guide and award-winning Academy to thrive through perimenopause with less stress: https://www.breakingthroughwellness.com/ Take Injury Prevention for Women Runners 30+ or my Female Runners Guide to Support Optimal Ferritin Masterclasses mentioned here.Grab a free monthly goal planning calendar & learn how to use it here.Get $25 off Function's comprehensive labs here or use code LVALENTINE11 Check out FullScript here where you can see curated supplement picks & save 20% off. Regan Archibald welcomes the audience and shares updates from recent travel before outlining how his “Ageless Future operating system” uses lab data to guide a more intentional health strategy. He emphasizes starting with clarity about goals and symptoms, then looking for patterns and trends across markers rather than relying only on standard reference ranges or single numbers. He discusses examples of deeper testing beyond common basics, the value of tracking data over time, and the importance of viewing markers in context—such as sleep, stress, nutrition, and training—so decisions are based on a fuller picture. He also highlights how inflammation and hormone-related markers can be considered as part of an integrated review, and closes by encouraging viewers to stay current with labs and contact the office or website to get testing scheduled if it's been more than six months.RESOURCES:Book Comprehensive Labs: https://agelessfuture.com/longevity-labs/FREE copy of The Peptide Blueprint: https://agelessfuture.com/blueprintSign up for future Health Accelerator Challenges calls LIVE! https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_YZsiUMOzSyqcE8IinC5YEQ#/registrationBooks: https://www.amazon.com/Books-Regan-Archibald/s?rh=n%3A283155%2Cp_27%3ARegan%2BArchibaldArticles: https://medium.com/search?q=Regan+ArchibaldLIKE/FOLLOW/SUBSCRIBE:YouTube -https://www.youtube.com/@ReganArchibald / https://www.youtube.com/@Ageless.FutureLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/regan-archibald-ab70b813Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ageless.future/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AgelessFutureHealth/DISCLAIMER: This video is for educational purposes only and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.  Many of the molecules discussed in this video are research compounds and are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for any specific medical use, indication, or condition. We also unpack why “calories in, calories out” is both true in principle and often misunderstood in practice, how ultra-processed foods can drive overeating, and what GLP-1 medications may be changing in appetite biology. The episode also touches on Dr. Hall's departure from a 21-year career at the NIH, following the censorship of his team's findings on ultra-processed foods when they didn't align with preferred narratives—an experience he describes as chilling for scientific communication. Finally, we explore the practical challenges of doing high-quality nutrition research, why confident opinions can outpace the data, and what it will take to better understand—and ultimately prevent—diet-related chronic disease. What You'll Learn in This EpisodeWhy metabolism isn't “broken” — and why larger bodies burn more calories at restWhat the Biggest Loser study actually revealed about weight loss and regainWhy exercise doesn't “save” your metabolism during extreme dietingHow ultraprocessed foods change how much people eat — without acting like addictive drugsWhy calories in vs. calories is often misunderstood in practiceHow genetics and environment interact to shape body weightWhat GLP-1 drugs are really doing — and what they don't fixWhy nutrition science is underfunded, politicized, and desperately neededChapters(00:00) - Kevin Hall, PhD, Metabolism Researcher(01:01) - Dr. Hall on the Ready State Podcast(04:10) - Misconceptions About Metabolism(04:54) - The Biggest Loser Study & Metabolism Influence(13:09) - Challenges in Nutrition Research(19:10) - Metabolism's Role in Weight Loss(22:13) - Vitality Blueprint: Importance of Blood Work(25:45) - Calories In, Calories Out: Simplistic View?(30:45) - Understanding GLP-1 Agonists(32:20) - The Food Environment's Impact(36:05) - Ultra-Processed Foods and Caloric Intake(38:02) - The Complexity of Obesity(41:40) - Solutions for Our Food System(48:23) - Causes of Brain Fog(49:34) - Element: Nutritional Insights(51:39) - RFK Jr. Discussion(01:01:40) - Politics' Influence on Science(01:04:35) - Leaders in Nutrition Science(01:06:48) - Can Weight Loss Be Achieved?(01:08:10) - Universal Diets: Myth or Reality?(01:12:35) - Why Doritos Lead to Overeating(01:13:21) - Understanding Visceral Fat(01:14:04) - Momentous: Nutritional Products(01:20:25) - Book/TV Show/Music Recommendations(01:21:11) - Connecting with Dr. Hall(01:21:52) - OutroConnect with KevinWebsite | Bluesky | X | LinkedInBook: Food Intelligence: The Science of How Food Both Nourishes and Harms UsCheck out The Biggest Loser Study2019 Study: Ultra-Processed Diets Cause Excess Calorie Intake and Weight GainHuge thanks to our sponsors, Vitality, Momentous, and LMNT.

How To Be Awesome At Everything Podcast
345. Bloodwork Every 90 Days For Awesome Preventative Health

How To Be Awesome At Everything Podcast

Play Episode Listen Later Feb 2, 2026 27:03

I get my blood work done every 90 days and I swear it's the ultimate tip for health in the short term and in the long term and just feeling your best on he daily. So, today I'm going to try to convince you to do the same. Because there is a huge difference between being "not sick" and being truly healthy and if you aren't getting your bloodwork done at least once a year, you really don't know what's going on. Most people only get blood work done when something is wrong. When they feel bad. When they are exhausted. When a symptom won't go away. When a doctor orders it because something already happened. Instead of doing it reactively, we are talking about doing it proactively. How can you know what your body needs? What supplements or adjustments to your lifestyle… it's almost impossible without bloodwork. It tells you how your hormones are functioning. How inflamed your body is. How well you are absorbing nutrients. How your cholesterol is trending. How stressed your nervous system is. How your metabolism is working. How your immune system is functioning. Today's episode is about why doing blood work every 90 days can completely change your relationship with your health, how the top longevity experts think about tracking biomarkers, how it helps you personalize supplements and lifestyle instead of guessing, and how it allows you to catch problems early before they become a real problem.  Let's go! Your blood work is your internal dashboard. It's crazy that most people are driving their body blind!! I do full blood work every 90 days and I swear by it.  I'm going to break it all down today. Every 90 days I sit down with my functional medicine doctor, Dr. Singler, and we go through everything. We look at what's trending up. What's trending down. What needs support. What needs to be addressed. We adjust supplements. We talk about lifestyle changes. We sometimes talk about peptides. We look at stress markers like cortisol. We look at hormones. We look at inflammation. We look at cholesterol. We look at nutrient deficiencies. It's not just "do you have a disease." It's "what is your body asking for." And that quarterly check-in has become one of the most powerful forms of self-care I do. Today's episode is about why doing blood work every 90 days can completely change your relationship with your health, how the top longevity experts think about tracking biomarkers, how it helps you personalize supplements and lifestyle instead of guessing, and how it allows you to catch problems early before they become diagnoses. Because knowledge is power. And when it comes to your health, awareness is leverage. ***Why the Best Health and Longevity Experts Obsess Over Biomarkers When you listen to people like Peter Attia, Andrew Huberman, and leaders in longevity medicine, one theme is constant. You can't manage what you don't measure. They talk constantly about biomarkers. Blood markers. Hormones. Cholesterol. Glucose. Inflammation. Nutrients. Stress markers. Not because numbers are the goal. Because trends tell the truth. You don't need to wait until something is "out of range" to take action. You can see patterns forming. You can see directions your health is moving. You can intervene early. Longevity is not built by reacting to disease. Longevity is built by managing risk decades before disease shows up. Blood work lets you see inside the body instead of guessing from the outside. Energy, mood, sleep, weight, anxiety, motivation, focus, hormones, immune function… all of it leaves fingerprints in your labs. *** Why Every 90 Days Is a Sweet Spot Doing blood work every 90 days creates a rhythm. It's long enough for meaningful changes to occur. It's short enough to catch problems early. It's frequent enough to personalize your approach. This cadence allows you to: • See how supplements are actually working • Know if lifestyle changes are helping • Track hormones as they shift • Monitor cholesterol trends • Watch inflammation markers • Identify deficiencies before symptoms • See how stress is impacting your body It turns health into an ongoing relationship instead of a once-a-year appointment. Rather than living on autopilot, it becomes a quarterly check-in. "How is my body actually doing?" "What does it need right now?" "What needs to change?" ***The Power of Baselines One of the most underrated benefits of regular blood work is baselines. When you know what your normal looks like, everything changes. If something shifts, you see it faster. If you get sick, you have something to compare to. If symptoms show up, you're not starting from zero. Your baseline becomes your personal health fingerprint. This is especially powerful with hormones, thyroid, cholesterol, inflammatory markers, glucose, and nutrient levels. Medicine is often built around population averages. But health is personal. Your optimal range is not always the same as "normal." Blood work every 90 days teaches you your body. ***Personalization Instead of Guessing Most people take supplements blindly. They try what's trending. What a friend is taking. What TikTok says. What an ad promises. Blood work removes guessing. You stop throwing things at your body and hoping. You start making informed decisions. When I review labs with my doctor, we are not just looking for problems. We are optimizing. We adjust supplements based on what my body is actually showing. We talk about hormones. We talk about stress. We talk about sleep. We talk about hydration. We talk about inflammation. We talk about recovery. If cortisol is elevated, the conversation shifts to lifestyle, nervous system, sleep, slowing down, hydration, sauna, recovery. If something is low, we talk about absorption, nutrition, and targeted support. It becomes a dialogue with your body instead of a guessing game. ***Emotional Health Lives in the Labs Too This is not just physical. Your labs often reflect your emotional and mental load. Stress hormones. Inflammation. Blood sugar instability. Nutrient depletion. Your body keeps the receipts. Blood work gives you objective data to support lifestyle changes. Sometimes the answer is not another supplement. Sometimes it's rest. Sleep. Boundaries. Sunlight. Movement. Slowing down. It's incredibly empowering to see that connection clearly. It turns self-care into strategy, not indulgence. ***How I Do It and How You Could Do It The way I do it is higher touch and more expensive. I use a mobile blood draw that comes to my house. Then I schedule a long call with my functional medicine doctor to go through everything. We take our time. We look at the full picture. We build a plan. But you do not have to do it that way. You can ask your doctor to order labs. You can go to a clinic and make an appointment so you're not waiting forever. You can get a basic panel and build from there. You can even upload your results into ChatGPT and use it as an educational tool to help you understand what the markers mean and what questions to ask your doctor. This doesn't have to be complicated. It just has to be consistent. ***Why This Is One of the Best Investments You Can Make We spend money on convenience. On clothes. On food. On homes. On trips. On businesses. But nothing affects the quality of your life more than the quality of your health. Energy. Mood. Confidence. Focus. Longevity. Relationships. Joy. Blood work every 90 days is not an expense. It is intelligence. It is prevention. It is personalization. It is early detection. It is self-leadership. It is saying, "I care about how long I live and how well I live." ***Most people wait for symptoms to tell them something is wrong. But by the time symptoms show up, your body has usually been whispering for a long time. Blood work lets you hear the whispers. It lets you see trends before problems. Adjust before crashes. Support before burnout. Correct before disease. For me, doing blood work every 90 days has become a quarterly health check-in with myself. How am I really doing? What does my body need? What needs to change? What needs support? It keeps me connected to my health instead of disconnected from it. And I truly believe this is one of the most powerful forms of preventative self-care anyone can adopt. So if you take anything from this episode, let it be this. Don't wait for something to go wrong.  Start tracking your health while things are going right. There's nothing more important or worth spending your time and money on!

Getting your blood drawn has pros and cons, but when handled wrongly by your health care provider, it's all cons—the blood draw indoctrination and system is all a con. As soon as you hear this information you will know how bad things really are and how important it is to know this truth. People are victims of excessive blood draws that aren't handled appropriately. It is a gross, negligent assault upon the chronically ill and women that are pregnant. Way too much blood is taken for no good reason from humankind in order to test that blood for what the doctor orders. A blood test can be done with one drop of blood, but the health system is corrupted to the point of manipulating doctors into believing large quantities of blood are needed from a patient in order to run the tests being requested. This belief is not the truth. One of the main reasons for miscarriages is that pregnant women are getting too much blood drawn and it's injuring the baby, causing death. Blood draw also weakens the immune system. Anyone who is getting blood work done, especially on a regular basis, can weaken overtime, causing worsened conditions. There are proper protective measures to take when getting your blood drawn and critical understandings that are needed to protect you and your loved ones. Get ready for this episode… In this episode… Learn how to protect yourself from the blood draw scam that's draining you of your life's reserves and lifeforce. Discover how the immune system gets weakened from blood draws and how this plays a role in sickness. Find out why your symptoms and conditions worsen because you are trapped in the blood-ordering cycle. Make sense of the truth in how the system is broken and people lose their lives getting bled to death. Learn about how, if you are pregnant, it is imperative to know how to work with your doctor when getting your blood drawn. Discover the gruesome truth of why so many miscarriages occur. Find out what steps and measures to take when you are about to get your blood drawn. Learn the before and after protocols to help recover your blood when getting bloodwork done. Find out where our blood goes after it has been harvested from humankind. All this and more, tune in and don't miss out on this important episode. You can revisit this episode anytime you need it. Blood work is trending — but most people are reading it wrong.“Normal” labs don't mean optimal, and context is what everyone is missing. In this episode, we break down why blood work has become a trend instead of a tool, how people are misinterpreting their labs, and why “normal” results often create false confidence instead of real clarity. Everyone wants answers from a single panel, but very few understand how to read blood markers in context.Joined by Lindsay Perry, the conversation dives into what blood work can and cannot tell you, why markers like insulin, glucose, and A1C must be viewed together, and why relying on isolated numbers leads to poor decisions. We also discuss the limitations of cortisol testing, why blood work alone doesn't capture nervous system stress, and where additional tools like genetics and functional testing actually fit. This episode isn't anti–blood work — it's anti-misuse.You'll hear a grounded, coaching-driven perspective on:Why blood work became popular — and how it's being misunderstoodThe danger of reading labs without lifestyle, behavior, and symptom contextInsulin as a missing piece in most standard blood panelsWhy cortisol is difficult to assess accurately through blood work aloneHow genetics, gut health, and deeper testing inform smarter decisionsWhy data without interpretation creates confusion, not solutionsLindsay Perry brings real-world coaching insight into how health data should guide action, not anxiety, and why context matters more than any single number on a report. If you've ever been told your labs are “normal” but still don't feel right — this conversation explains why.00:00 – Why Blood Work Is Trending Right NowBlood work has become the latest health trend and why everyone wants answers from labs.01:18 – Everyone Wants to Be a Blood Work ExpertHow access to data without education creates confusion and false authority.03:05 – Why “Normal” Blood Work Can Be MisleadingUnderstanding reference ranges vs optimal health and why people feel stuck.05:12 – The Missing Marker: InsulinWhy insulin is often ignored, how it connects to glucose and A1C, and why it matters.08:04 – Looking at Markers Together, Not in IsolationWhy single lab values don't tell the full story.10:36 – Cortisol and the Limits of Blood TestingWhy cortisol is difficult to assess through blood work alone.13:02 – Stress, the Nervous System, and What Labs MissWhy lifestyle and nervous system regulation don't show up clearly on labs.15:48 – Genetics as a Coaching ToolHow genetic testing is used to guide smarter decisions, not labels.18:22 – Detox, Methylation, and Mitochondrial Pathways ExplainedBreaking down common genetic categories and what they influence.21:10 – Gut Health, Sensitivities, and Deeper TestingWhen blood work isn't enough and additional testing becomes relevant.24:05 – Why Context Matters More Than Any NumberHow symptoms, behavior, and lifestyle complete the picture.26:42 – Coaching vs Data ObsessionWhy data should guide action, not anxiety.29:30 – Using Blood Work the Right WayHow to treat labs as a tool, not a diagnosis.32:10 – Final Thoughts: Blood Work Isn't the EnemyWhy blood work is valuable when used correctly and responsibly.⚠️ DisclaimerThis content is for educational purposes only and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or replace medical advice. In this episode of the Metabolic Freedom Podcast, Ben Azadi reveals how insulin resistance can exist long before it appears on standard blood work and how the body shows clear warning signs that most people overlook. Ben explains that insulin resistance is not caused by laziness or lack of discipline. It is a biological response to years of metabolic stress, often hiding in plain sight even in people who eat clean, exercise, and appear healthy. You'll learn the five silent physical signs of insulin resistance, including dark skin patches, skin tags, stubborn belly fat, water retention, and cold or numb extremities. These visible signals often show up years before glucose or A1c levels become abnormal. The episode breaks down what insulin really does in the body, why chronically elevated insulin blocks fat burning, increases inflammation, and damages blood vessels, and why doctors frequently miss insulin resistance by relying only on glucose-based labs. Ben shares real client examples and walks through two simple, science-backed steps to start reversing insulin resistance immediately: eating protein and fat before carbohydrates and using apple cider vinegar correctly to blunt glucose and insulin spikes. This episode also explains why fasting insulin is the most important lab marker to request, how skinny individuals can still have dangerous visceral fat, and why insulin resistance is reversible when the right signals are restored. If you are dealing with stubborn belly fat, fatigue, inflammation, or unexplained health issues, this episode provides clarity, empowerment, and practical tools to take control of your metabolic health naturally.

Bloodwork Basics: When Testing Makes Sense

The Dr. Jules Plant-Based Podcast

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 21, 2025 17:43 Transcription Available

"Should you get routine blood work?" seems like a straightforward question, but the answer lies in understanding how our bodies process nutrients and when testing actually provides meaningful information. Nutrient deficiencies can be surprisingly sneaky, calcium deficiencies might take decades to show up in blood tests while silently damaging bone health, and even B12 deficiencies can remain hidden for 6-12 months before symptoms emerge. For those following or transitioning to plant-based diets, there's particular interest in monitoring nutritional status, but ordering "everything" on a blood panel isn't always the right approach. When we test without specific reasons, we often find incidental fluctuations that trigger unnecessary follow-up procedures, creating anxiety and straining healthcare resources. A better strategy is targeted testing based on your specific risk factors, symptoms, and dietary patterns. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, those taking medications like metformin or regular antacids, people with relevant family histories, and anyone on restrictive diets might benefit from more comprehensive screening. Before reaching for the needle, consider tracking your nutrition through tools like the Canadian Food Guide, Dr. Greger's Daily Dozen Checklist, or apps like Cronometer to identify potential gaps. When testing makes sense, a complete blood count and metabolic profile provide foundational information, while specific nutrient tests can be added based on individual needs. Remember that for plant-based eaters, B12 supplementation remains essential regardless of blood test results, some deficiencies simply take too long to appear in testing. The ultimate goal isn't just finding problems after they develop but preventing them through varied, nutrient-dense foods and lifestyle habits that support overall health. Visit plantbaseddrjules.com for more resources on optimizing your nutrition through thoughtful, evidence-based approaches.Go check out my website for tons of free resources on how to transition towards a healthier diet and lifestyle. You can download my free plant-based recipes eBook and a ton of other free resources by visiting the Digital Downloads tab of my website at https://www.plantbaseddrjules.com/shopDon't forget to check out my blog at https://www.plantbaseddrjules.com/blog You can also watch my educational videos on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMpkQRXb7G-StAotV0dmahQCheck out my upcoming live events and free eCourse, where you'll learn more about how to create delicious plant-based recipes: https://www.plantbaseddrjules.com/Go follow me on social media by visiting my Facebook page and Instagram accountshttps://www.facebook.com/plantbaseddrjuleshttps://www.instagram.com/plantbased_dr_jules/Last but not least, the best way to show your support and to help me spread my message is to subscribe to my podcast and to leave a 5 star review on Apple and Spotify! Thanks so much!Peace, love, plants!Dr. Jules

We break down how small refinements in how you practice can create massive gains in how you play. Our Improvement Pivot Point is Practice With Intent — the difference between simply hitting balls and actually training movements that transfer to the course. When your reps have a purpose, a target, and a defined movement focus, you build repeatability. When they don't, you just add noise to your pattern. We also dive into Rasmus Neergaard Petersen's win on the DP World Tour — a massive milestone for one of Europe's brightest rising stars. His week was a blueprint in itself: disciplined preparation, a clear game plan, and unwavering intent behind every shot. There's a lot golfers can learn from the way he structures his performance and earns his first DP World Tour victory. And finally, a blend of performance takeaways — from how the best players shape purposeful practice to how everyday golfers can adopt the same mindset. The ALL ME® Podcast Do You Need URO-A and CoQ-10 In Your Life? – Dr. Emily Werner In this episode of the ALL ME Podcast, Don Hooton speaks with Dr. Emily Werner, a sports dietitian for the Philadelphia 76ers. They discuss Dr. Werner's journey into sports nutrition, her experiences working with professional athletes, and the importance of building relationships with players to effectively communicate nutritional advice. The conversation also covers the role of nutrition in enhancing athletic performance, the collaboration with external nutrition professionals, and the significance of specific nutrients like Urolithin A in supporting athletes' health and performance. In this conversation, Dr. Emily Werner discusses the significance of gut health, the role of Urolithin A and CoQ10 as supplements, and the importance of dietary choices in maintaining optimal health. She emphasizes the need for targeted supplementation due to the decline in gut microbiome diversity and the natural production of CoQ10 with age. The discussion also highlights the role of dietitians in assessing nutritional deficiencies through blood work, particularly in athletes, and the evolving landscape of dietary supplements. To Purchase urolithin A in supplement form, Emily recommends purchasing from www.timeline.com Takeaways Dr. Werner's journey into sports nutrition began with a love for anatomy and physiology. Building relationships with athletes is crucial for effective nutrition counseling. Nutrition plays a vital role in the performance and longevity of athletes. Urolithin A is a metabolite that supports mitochondrial health. Athletes often have their own chefs or nutritionists, complicating team dynamics. Effective communication with external nutrition professionals is essential. Traveling with the team allows for better food coordination and athlete support. Nutrition education is important for young athletes to enhance their performance. The importance of nutrition has grown in professional sports over the years. Athletes benefit from a diet rich in fruits, nuts, and other nutrient-dense foods. Not everyone has the right gut microbiome for nutrient conversion. Urolithin A is a supplement that addresses bioavailability issues. Foundational supplements like Urolithin A can benefit everyone. CoQ10 is essential for energy production in mitochondria. CoQ10 helps clear out reactive oxygen species in the body. Urolithin A and CoQ10 can work synergistically for health. Dietary sources of CoQ10 include meat and fish. Statins can deplete natural CoQ10 levels in the body. Blood work can reveal nutritional deficiencies in athletes. Dietitians play a crucial role in nutritional health and prevention. You might think you're eating healthy — but what if the story you tell yourself about your diet has nothing to do with your actual health?  In this episode, Ted breaks down one of the most common mistakes high achievers make when it comes to nutrition — believing that how "healthy" your food sounds is what determines your results. Using a viral debate comparing Big Macs to salmon, Ted explains why food stories and diet labels miss the real picture.  You'll learn why calories are still king, why excess body fat destroys your health regardless of how "clean" you eat, and what data actually matters — from body composition and visceral fat to fasting glucose, hemoglobin A1C, and cholesterol levels.  Ted also shares how two people can eat the same foods and have totally different health outcomes, and why the only way to know if your diet is working is to track objective data, not rely on beliefs or feelings.  In this episode, you'll learn:  What is the real relationship between calories, food quality, and health outcomes  Why being lean and active matters more than any specific diet  What your blood work reveals about your true metabolic health  How to use DEXA scans and lab tests to track your progress accurately  How to use data, not diet dogma, to optimize your health and performance  And much more...  If you're serious about living longer, performing better, and cutting through nutrition hype, this episode will show you how to stop guessing and start measuring what truly matters.
