Never has there been a more extreme form of musical rebellion than Norwegian Black Metal. The genre's founding band, Mayhem, its sister act Burzum and supporting cast of musicians with names like Necrobutcher, Hellhammer, and Dead horrified Norway in the early nineties with supreme acts of terror, satanic ritualism, murder, arson, and cannibalism. By the time the ashes settled and the corpse paint chipped away, numerous band members would be dead or in jail, convicted of arson and or murder… and a new generation of young metalheads would find their way to satanism through blast beats and dead notes. This Week on Dopey! Dave opens with a cocaine-barroom parody and rolls into updates: DopeyCon afterglow, Spotify/iTunes comments, LA travel nerves, and sponsor shout-outs. Listener Archie checks in with a salvia-in-underwear saga; another listener writes about rock-salt shrooms and missing the Dead's final Jerry show; “Chip” reports nearly a year sober and reflects on denial. Then Brace Belden (Truenon) sits down in Dave's new DIY studio for a sprawling hang: meetings vs. therapy, analysis and trazodone dreams, the weird science of memory, and a brutally honest tour through sex + drugs (boofing Suboxone film, poppers, Whippets/“galaxy gas,” meth, DMT, Quaaludes, coke dick, Hunter Biden-level decadence). They spar on politics without picking teams (meetings in “Trumpy” rooms, why rhetoric isn't the whole story), react to the Charlie Kirk assassination video, and play a relapse thought experiment (weed→benzos→opiate math vs. “new Research Chemicalss”). They close with Chrome-mags diplomacy drama, a rapid-fire “this or that,” Truenon live show plugs, and Dave's mural/Patreon notes before the end of another edition of that good old Dopey Show! In January 1959, ten experienced young skiers set out for Mount Otorten in the far north of Russia. While one of the skiers fell ill and returned, the remaining nine lost their way and ended up on another mountain slope known as Kholat Syakhl (or 'Mountain of the Dead').On the night of 1st February 1959 something or someone caused the skiers to flee their tent in such terror that they used knives to slash their way out. Search parties were sent out and their bodies were found, some with massive internal injuries but with no external marks on them. The autopsy stated the violent injuries were caused by 'an unknown compelling force'. The area was sealed off for years by the authorities and the full events of that night remained unexplained. Using original research carried out in Russia and photographs from the skier's cameras, Keith McCloskey attempts to explain what happened to the nine young people who lost their lives in the mysterious 'Dyatlov Pass Incident'. His book is entitled, Mountain of the Dead and we speak to Keith about the details of what happened, what we do know, and the many theories as to what may have happened to them. Most people get networking completely wrong. Dead wrong. They show up at events looking for business. Looking for clients. Looking for what they can get. That's why they fail. That's why their network stays small. That's why they stay stuck. I built my publicly traded cybersecurity company from being one person 14 years ago to almost 100 employees. You know how? Through my network. Through intentionally building relationships with people who've been where I wanted to go. Finding mentors who've done it before. Connecting with people who could fill the gaps I couldn't fill myself. Here's what nobody tells you about networking. You don't go to events to find business. You go to bring value. You go to teach. You go to offer yourself and see what you can do for other people. Even more important. You go to ask for help. That's the secret right there. Asking for help is the biggest service you can give someone. My friend David Meltzer says if you don't ask somebody for help you're robbing them of the opportunity to fulfill their purpose. Think about that. This is why we're here on this planet. To help each other. To serve each other. To build communities where everyone has a role and everyone can help somebody else. Not to be antisocial. Not to hustle people. But to genuinely care and connect. This is how you build something real. This is how you go from being one person to leading almost 100. This is how you take a company public. Through intentional relationship building. Through serving. Through asking for help and helping others. Your network is everything. Build it intentionally. Serve people genuinely. Watch what happens.Connect:Connect with Rick: https://linktr.ee/mrrickjordanSubscribe & Review to ALL IN with Rick Jordan on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/RickJordanALLIN

Climate Change is DEAD; Dark days for the climate movement. Nobody is attending UN climate conferences. No net-zero by 2050 talk. The climatistas are moving to affordability and lowering the cost of living. When did Democrats start practicing open masochism? They seem to LOVE pain.We are well into the shutdown, and Democrats have turned the federal budget into their personal game of chicken. Patrick addresses controversies around UK misgendering laws, the growing pains of multiculturalism, and immigration’s impact on Western identity. Callers spark lively reflection on family Mass routines, Muslims praying in European churches, and the loss of Catholic spaces, with Patrick sharing personal stories and issuing strong opinions about faith, society, and the turmoil facing Christians worldwide. Tension, raw honesty, and glimpses of hope land side by side in a fast-moving blend of current affairs, candid audience exchanges, and striking spiritual insights. Audio: UK Resident “I now have a criminal record because I wrote in the Critic magazine that my stalker was a man. Because he is a man.” (00:20) Alejandro - I am an usher. They recommend going to another separate mass so that you can focus. (03:27) Sarah - Muslims asking for a prayer area. I do think there should be reciprocity and do agree with you. Muslims want to take over and show dominance. (05:18) Rusty - Free donuts and coffee are just things that the Church does to encourage teens (and others) to come to mass. (11:52) Kris (email) - Not to belabor the usher at communion topic, but I think just saying “we’re all adults” as it relates to our ability to use order when queuing up for communion can easily be refuted by the example people set for exiting an airplane (16:37) Nancy - I think politicians are ignorant and don't know enough about Islam to have an informed policy (18:13) Kathy - Muslims and Islam. I am bothered by people who say Christians and Muslims can coexist when they don’t realize that Muslims want to dominate Christians. Also, it bothers me that Catholic dioceses sell property to Muslims. (23:32) Carol - I think that the Church and Western countries are starting to adhere to Islam. (26:09) Carolyn - I found Mary's belt in Damascus. Is the Assumption biblical? (28:36) Therese - I was born and raised in Nigeria. I am from the Eastern part. They keep killing us and want every Nigerian to be Muslim. (31:22) Tony - How do I refute the Mormon practice of Baptism of the Dead? (35:22)

This week, our Patreon voted for us to explore the music and career of Dead or Alive, the British pop band responsible for the endlessly catchy and danceable 1985 single, “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record).” Led by the eccentric and androgynous Pete Burns, Dead or Alive were a perfect mix of the end of disco and the start of new wave. Their rise up the indie charts in the UK led them to a major label, but even then, it was the band's belief in themselves and their music that resulted in the massive hit that has stood the test of time. Should you be spinning the REST of the Dead or Alive's records right round though? That's what we'll be deciding this week. Over the next month on the podcast we're going to work with the Dead.Every year I receive messages from listeners who are seeking help to remove unwanted spirit attachments, usually after some type of spiritual encounter, paranormal investigation, seance, etc. While I don't personally offer professional spiritual cleansings and removals, I do teach the basics of witchcraft, energetics, and spirit work, and I'm an excellent magickal directory. This episode is a bit of a longer one because we are really laying some important groundwork here. You may want to bookmark this one, or even take notes! And I highly recommend sharing with a friend who may be interested in these topics as well. My hope is that this episode serves you for years to come, helps you move through any fear, and prevent any unnecessary risk or harm to yourself or others. How Can We Be Born Again? Through the One Raised from the Dead. MESSAGE SUMMARY: Today, we delve into the profound mystery of the Holy Spirit and its vital role in our Christian walk. We're reminded that it's not just about having the Holy Spirit, but allowing the Spirit to have us - to lead and guide our lives. The message emphasizes three key sins against the Holy Spirit: grieving, quenching, and blaspheming. When we choose bitterness over love, or hold onto unforgiveness, we grieve the Spirit. Every time we sin, we quench the Spirit's flow in our lives. Yet, there's hope in confession, which reopens the floodgates of the Spirit's presence. This teaching challenges us to examine our hearts: Are we truly yielding to the Spirit's guidance? Are we living holy lives that honor God? It's a call to deeper surrender and a reminder of our constant need for the Spirit's empowering presence in our faith journey. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, I now take a deep breath and stop. So often I miss your hand and gifts in my life because I am preoccupied and anxious. Grant me the power to pause each day and each week to simply rest in your arms of love. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 132). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. This week on Spooky Szn, we shuffle into the world of the undead for one of the greatest horror-comedies of all time: Edgar Wright's "Shaun of the Dead (2004)!"Lemar is in absolute heaven, celebrating this film as one of his all-time favorites, raving about its pitch-perfect pacing, razor-sharp visual humor, and genuine love for the zombie genre. Mackenzie, however, still isn't a fan of zombie flicks... but even she finds the fun, witty heart in this blood-soaked rom-com.Join the hosts as they dig into the genius of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, dissecting how the film perfectly balances gut-busting laughs with surprisingly poignant drama and gory horror. We talk about the themes of arrested development, the true meaning of friendship, and whether a trip to the Winchester is really the best plan for a zombie apocalypse. Welcome, my devilish fiends!Join me as we trace the roots of the vampire back to the women who came before her: Lamia, Lilith, and the succubi. These "monstrous" figures haunted ancient myth and medieval imagination, embodying male fears of female power, pleasure, and autonomy. Long before Dracula, they turned desire into danger and defiance into sin. Their stories reveal how myth and theology worked together to make women's power appear monstrous and how those same fears still shape the vampire we know today. So, close your doors and windows, turn off the lights, get cozy, and join me... ***Listener Discretion is Strongly Advised*******************Sources & References:Epic of Gilgamesh – references to lilītu demons. The Alphabet of Ben Sira. The Zohar (Book of Splendor).Philostratus, Life of Apollonius of Tyana.Heinrich Kramer and Jacob Sprenger, Malleus Maleficarum.King James VI of Scotland, Daemonologie.John Keats, Lamia.Sarah Iles Johnston, Restless Dead: Encounters Between the Living and the Dead in Ancient Greece (University of California Press, 1999).Daniel Ogden, Drakōn: Dragon Myth and Serpent Cult in the Greek and Roman Worlds (Oxford University Press, 2013).Judith Plaskow, The Coming of Lilith: Essays on Feminism, Judaism, and Sexual Ethics, 1972–2003 (Beacon Press, 2005).Gershom Scholem, Kabbalah (Quadrangle/New York Times Book Co., 1974).Raphael Patai, The Hebrew Goddess (Wayne State University Press, 1990).Jeffrey Burton Russell, Witchcraft in the Middle Ages (Cornell University Press, 1972).Deborah Lyons, Dangerous Gifts: Gender and Exchange in Ancient Greece (Princeton University Press, 1997).Diane Apostolos-Cappadona, Dictionary of Women in Religious Art (Oxford University Press, 1996).Nina Auerbach, Our Vampires, Ourselves (University of Chicago Press, 1995).Paul Barber, Vampires, Burial, and Death: Folklore and Reality (Yale University Press, 1988).Barbara Creed, The Monstrous-Feminine: Film, Feminism, Psychoanalysis (Routledge, 1993).Marina Warner, From the Beast to the Blonde: On Fairy Tales and Their Tellers (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 1995).****************Leave Us a 5* Rating, it really helps the show!Apple Podcast:https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/beauty-unlocked-the-podcast/id1522636282Spotify Podcast:https://open.spotify.com/show/37MLxC8eRob1D0ZcgcCorA****************Follow Us on Social Media & Subscribe to our YouTube Channel!YouTube:@beautyunlockedspodcasthourTikTok:tiktok.com/@beautyunlockedthepod****************MUSIC & SOUND FX:"Beast by Beast" by Edward Karl Hanson"An Obsession" by DayonEpidemic SoundFind the perfect track on Epidemic Sound for your content and take it to the next level! Tara talks school strikes while Kris explains the clean versions of the Taylor Swift phenomena. Bring it on, people. It's sweater weather! Official Recommendations From Kris: Our Mothers' House by Patricia Polacco and Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery (2025) Kris's official recommendation this week is… wait. Kris has TWO official recommendations this week? (checks notes) Well, okay! Kris's FIRST official recommendation is the children's picture book Our Mothers' House, written and illustrated by Patricia Polacco. It's a beautiful book about two women raising children together and their encounter with the one prejudiced family on their block. It's also a banned book, which makes it even more important to shout out. For Kris's SECOND official recommendation, we have the 2025 documentary, Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery, which tracks the late 90s women's music festival. Kris has a lot of personal connections to this festival, and the documentary was both informative in aspects of the music industry that she couldn't have understood at the time and nostalgic for all those formative memories. From Tara: A Hexcellent Chance to Fall in Love by Ann Rose Tara's official recommendation this week is the recently released sapphic Halloween romance, A Hexcellent Chance to Fall in Love by Ann Rose. Every year, for 70 days, the Halloween shop Pepper runs, The Dead of Night, appears in town and she gets to meet and engage with everyone who comes in. After that time? She disappears, and so does everyone's memory of her. But everything changes after Pepper comes across a woman she can't stand the thought of forgetting her. Tara thoroughly enjoyed this one and the big twist at the story's centre. Works/People Discussed Jeopardy! Joshua – Session 2: Faith, Obedience, and the Word Text: Joshua 1–2 ; Romans 6 Theme: Living by faith and obedience through the Word of God I. The Foundation – God's Word at the Center Joshua 1:8-9 – Prosperity and success come from meditating on and obeying God's Word. Key truth: The Word must have the final say in every decision. Personal principles: God's Word overrules opinion. Don't go to bed angry. Handle family issues within your own household. Application: Blessing follows submission to Scripture, not cleverness or culture. II. Obedience, Stewardship, and Accountability Israel prepares to cross the Jordan; obedience brings unity and victory. Lesson: God owns everything — we are stewards. Disobedience forfeits blessing; stewardship invites favor. Moral call: Stand for truth and life — repentance restores, but sin must still be named as sin. III. Rahab's Faith – The Scarlet Thread of Salvation Joshua 2: Rahab hides the spies and hangs a scarlet cord — a symbol of Christ's blood. Faith requires action; belief is proven by obedience. Everyone under the scarlet cord (inside the house) is saved — stay in the house (fellowship, worship, presence). Hebrews 10:25 – Do not forsake assembling together. IV. Faith and Focus in a Distracted World Joshua and Caleb believed God despite giants. Faith stands on truth, not visible results. Warning against information overload — believers must fix their eyes on Christ, not chaos. Application: Maintain joy — “The joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). V. From Law to Grace – Faith That Works by Love Romans 6: Crossing Jordan pictures salvation — leaving Egypt (sin) for the Promised Land (new life). The Law is an X-ray — reveals sin but cannot heal. Christ is the Physician — He heals through grace. Faith and obedience are married; faith without works (obedience) is dead. Love produces obedience: “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15) VI. Dead to Sin, Alive to Christ Romans 6:6-11 – Believers are crucified with Christ; position overrules condition. No longer slaves to sin, but servants of righteousness. Reckon (logizomai): The ledger is settled — Christ paid it all. Our identity is not in failure but in our position in Christ. VII. The Shepherd Who Found Us Jesus is not a hireling — He stays in hard times. We didn't find God; He found us. The Good Shepherd rescues His sheep and never forsakes them. Application: Trust His leading, rest in His faithfulness, and respond with daily surrender. Key Takeaway: “Our position in Christ overrides our condition in life.” Faith acts, love obeys, and the Word sustains.

Support our Halloween “Overcoming the Darkness” campaign to help people with depression: https://weirddarkness.com/HOPEA dying man with a fake identity spent his final days erasing every trace of his existence before walking into the Irish sea, leaving investigators with only one question: who was Peter Bergmann? | #WDRadio WEEK OF OCT 12, 2025==========HOUR ONE: In June of 2009 a man calling himself Peter Bergmann checked in to a hotel in Sligo Town. Five days later his body was found on Rosses Point Beach. But Peter Bergmann was not Peter Bergmann – so who was he? (The Peter Bergmann Mystery) *** Sharing stories from people who are frightened by a bump in the night or a strange shadow on the wall in their bedroom is one thing, but when you get professional ghost hunters telling of the scariest experiences they've had, you know it has to be some freaky stuff. (Scariest Experiences of Ghost Hunters) ==========HOUR TWO: Jeannie Saffin already had a tough life, being born with a birth defect that stunted her mental growth, leaving her with the mind of a child, never getting married and having kids, never dating… but that all pales in comparison to how she died: bursting into flames for no apparent reason. Was Jeannie Saffin the victim of spontaneous human combustion? (The Spontaneous Combustion of Jeannie Saffin) *** Sometimes it's easy to get a girl to go out with you – just be polite and ask. Some men resort to cheesy pickup lines thinking it will help their chances. But one man chose to call upon a woman in a very unusual way… by purchasing a gravestone. (Pitching Woo With a Tombstone) *** If a man demands his girlfriend give up the baby they conceived, otherwise he would no longer be with the woman – what is that newborn's mother to do? Sadly, Emily Dunn made the wrong decision – with tragic results. (The Durbin Baby Murder) *** The transplanting of an organ is almost a routine procedure now in the 21st century – even doing a transplant of an arm or a leg isn't uncommon. But when you talk about transplanting a living head onto a dead body – that's when things get tricky. But Robert White thought it could be done – and even tried doing it. (The Man Who Wanted To Do a Head Transplant) *** Imagine getting onto a plane and once in the air finding out that the pilot wasn't qualified to fly that kind of plane – and that he was only there because the original pilot wasn't available due to being dead. That's what happened in 1934 on the boat, the SS Morro Castle. And it was the beginning of tragedy after tragedy. (Mystery, Mismanagement, and Mayhem on the SS Morro Castle)==========SUDDEN DEATH OVERTIME: More of the scariest experiences of ghost hunters! *** I'll tell you about that time when a dam failed – and because of it, people were legally allowed to marry the dead. And still do to this day. (That Time A Failed Dam Led to Marrying Corpses) *** Personal experiences of those who have stayed at the Wolf Creek Inn, plus some hard evidence, seems to indicate that spirits who haunt the place are not only benign in nature, but even protect the guests and owners from other malevolent spirits which roam there as well. It's the spookiest month of the year, and everyone's favorite Horror Avenger, Ron Martin, is back with Part 2 of his four-part, October solocast, The Great Halloween Experiment! Throughout October 2025, Ron is releasing four special solo episodes, one each week, leading up to Halloween! The premise behind The Great Halloween Experiment is simple but fascinating: Does watching random Horror films during the Halloween season enhance a Horror fan's overall enjoyment and Halloween spirit? To find out, Ron has committed to watching 31 Horror films — not necessarily Halloween-themed ones, but a completely random assortment of movies from across the genre. Ron does his due diligence by creating “a Halloween atmosphere” in which to enjoy these films. His picks might come from his personal Blu-ray and DVD collection, new theater releases, or streaming on VOD. The Contrary Horror Avenger is determined to find out if that magical, macabre October feeling can still come alive through any Horror movies. In this Part 2 of 4, Ron delivers eight Horror movie mini reviews, complete with his ratings and recommendations. Dead 15 Minutes! At nine years old, Mario was declared dead at home after violent spasms and unbearable chest pain. His first NDE followed. He describes separating from his body and entering a realm of tunnels and roads made of fluorescent, multicolored light, where he felt only absolute love, safety, and belonging. Family had begun preparing for his funeral, but he revived within minutes, telling his father he'd wanted to stay “there.” The years that followed were marked by poverty, bullying, and vivid encounters he interpreted as demonic—experiences that deepened his prayer life and sense of spiritual warfare. Decades later, in 2016, after months of harassment and a poisoning that put him in the hospital, he says he died again. A nurse exclaimed she saw his “aura” leaving as monitors detached. During this second NDE, Mario reports first arriving in a heaven-like space and searching desperately for his late father; when he couldn't find him, the scene shifted to a dark, sulfurous realm with hostile entities. This is know as a "distressing NDE" (near death experience). How did this NDE end? A “gigantic hand,” which he believes was Jesus, touched his forehead and returned him to his body. Though some relatives and others doubt his story, Mario insists the lesson is clear: become a kinder person, pray often, hold fame and achievements lightly, and know—at least to him—that heaven is real.
