Writer David Pepose joins us to discuss his new Space Ghost series from Dynamite Comics and The Devil That Wears My Face from Mad Cave Studios. But first, what comics shops do Jake and David go to in LA? Are there fewer local comic shops where Anthony lives in New York? What's David's past experience with Space Ghost? Would adding a monkey to anything in the Silver Age equal an uptick in sales? Does Space Ghost have a great roster of villains? Does Space Ghost have all the makings of an A-Lister? Is David the first to build what an organic Space Ghost universe looks like? Can this version of Space Ghost be described as Batman: The Long Halloween meets The Mandolorian? How is the original Space Ghost similar to Adam West's Batman? Does David have a lot of creative control over the story and character of Space Ghost? Does Anthony like Space Ghost: Coast to Coast? Is this a great time to reimagine Space Ghost? How had he been reimagined differently through the decades? Do you have to know anything about the continuity of Space Ghost to enjoy this comic? Are there payoffs for fans of the character? Did the guys grow up watching Space Ghost on Boomerang? Is this an ongoing comic? Did David Pepose watch every episode of Space Ghost before writing this comic? Are Jan and Jace the POV characters of this comic? How is Brak blue collar in his aspirations? What do we like about artist Jonathan Lau's character designs? What other Space Ghost villains can we expect in this series? Did David come across any interesting Space Ghost lore in his deep-dive of the character? Is each issue of this run self-contained? Does David plan on tackling Space Ghost's origin? Is this ultimately a found family story? Is Jan and Jace's sibling relationship inspired by David's own siblings? Does David's personal life also influence The Devil That Wears My Face? Did he write the comic to impress his father-in-law? How is The Devil That Wears My Face a combo of The Exorcist and Face/Off? How does artist Alex Cormack bring this story to live in brutal ways? Does the first issue remind Anthony of The Twilight Zone episode The Howling Man? Does David have fun writing villains? What is the Iscariot Blade? What is David currently reading? What is Project Cicada? What has David got coming out in the near future? All this and more in the latest episode of Comics and Chronic! Matt and Cale are joined by Tyler Echols (one of Matt's OTHER best friends) to discuss the Dynamite Comics reboot of “Green Hornet.” Based on the un-produced screenplay by filmmaker Kevin Smith, this graphic novel was adapted by Phil Hester with pencil art by Jonathan Lau and fully painted covers by Alex Ross. Originally created for the radio in 1936, the Green Hornet and Kato were a dynamic duo of masked crime fighters three years before Batman first appeared! The character has appeared in comics, feature films (starring Seth Rogen and Jay Chou) and a short-lived TV series in the 1960s where the characters teamed up with Adam West and Burt Ward's Batman and Robin! This TV series was also the first major American role for Bruce Lee as Kato! There are a few dated elements, but Matt, Cale and Tyler all truly enjoyed this very cinematic graphic novel! All three are big fans of Kevin Smith, but give Smith props for stepping outside of his comfort zone to create something that doesn't feel like anything from his View Askewniverse! We will be back in two weeks for our episode on the first volume (collecting the first five issues) of “Y: The Last Man” by Brian K Vaughn and Pia Guerra. In this special episode, Matt looks at the first chapter of his full-length graphic novel, "You're Stuck With Me Now: A (True) Love Story." "You're Stuck With Me Now" is an autobiographical book detailing how Matt met his Scottish wife, Emma, while they were both teaching in Kuwait, how he proposed and how she tricked him into getting two cats. Matt will discuss his intentions for certain pages and inspirations behind specific panels, giving an in-depth look into his creative process. If you HAVEN'T read "You're Stuck With Me Now," you can get the first chapter for FREE from Matt's website: SmithvsSmith.com and you the entire book is on sale (in both digital and print) right now from SmithvsSmith.com/store. You can see more of Matt's work online on Instagram and Facebook @smithvssmithcomics and on Twitter @smithvssmith. Cale will be back to join Matt for a regular episode next week where our two comics aficionados read "Green Hornet" by Kevin Smith, Phil Hester and Jonathan Lau. You can follow us online on Instagram and Facebook @MattandCaleReadComics and on Twitter @MattandCaleRead.
Cale's high school best friend, Jake, joins us to discuss "Daredevil: Yellow" by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale. This 2002 graphic novel takes us back to Daredevil's origin and a time when he wore a yellow costume instead of the red tights we are familiar with. Tim Sale's retro, expressionistic art perfectly compliments Jeph Loeb's wistful script and they are joined by Richard Starkings on letters and Matt Hollingsworth on colours. Ol' Horn Head is a favourite character of Matt, Cale and Jake, and we all share what makes Matt Murdock so special to each of us during our discussion. Next week we will have a special episode as Matt releases a creator commentary for the first chapter of his graphic novel, "You're Stuck With Me Now." This is the true story of how Matt met his wife, Emma, who joined us for our episode on Jeffrey Brown's "Clumsy." You can get a copy of "You're Stuck With Me Now" in print and digital form on Matt's website: SmithvsSmith.com and you can get a free copy of the first chapter to read along with Matt's commentary now! We will be back the following week for our episode on "Green Hornet" by Kevin Smith, Phil Hester and Jonathan Lau. You can follow us @mattandcalereadcomics on Instagram and Facebook or @mattandcaleread on Twitter.
**Silent Bob is Silent no more! Director Kevin Smith brings his Mooby's Pop-up to Boston at House of Blues for a limited engagement. We got a chance to sit down with him and talk all the nerdy tidbits about Stan Lee, his upcoming Masters of the Universe: Revelation, helping restaurant workers in the pandemic, and his shot-from home sitcom, Son in Lockdown featuring his entire family and introducing Austin Zajur.** Snootch to the Bootch! Do617: So good to see you. you don't mind being on video, do you?. Kevin Smith: Not at all. That's why I wore the funny hat! By the way, I'm still happy to see you. Trying to stay alive, man. The restaurant business doesn't make it easy though. Because, suddenly, you get access to free food where you're like, "I'll take three orders of Hater Tots"! "I'm the man" Why not? It's my place. Free food! How are you feeling? Feeling good? I'm feeling fantastic. It's been, just past the three-year mark since the heart attack knocks wood you know, so far so good. Thanks for coming to Boston. Lovely to be here, man. Boston has always been a big part of everything. I was just telling my wife today. I was like, the first time I came to the Commonwealth was with Clerks. Like even though I lived in New Jersey, I'd never come up to Massachusetts. There was no call for it and stuff. Yeah. It was from Philly to New York. They're close. Boston's like a three-hour drive. So it wasn't until Clerks that I came to the city with the Boston Film Festival and then I kept going back and like, Chasing Amy and Dogma and stuff like that. And the boys are from here. And the boys being from here! You know, me and Scott (Moser) were involved with Good Will Hunting as well. So there's, always a wonderful tie to the city, to the community. Also, this is a big college town and at one point in my career, I was "The College Guy". Yeah. You're my "College Guy", I suppose. I went to MassArt right down the street from here. In the Nineties, we were looking up to you, man. You've been inspiring people forever. You were so close with Stan Lee, I got to interview Stan it was an honor. an honor. You've always said good things and, and you were taking care of him. And I just want to say, I appreciate that you did that. What a great life. So the thing about the loss that breaks the heart is he was a vital 90-year-old and he didn't have that the last year or two years of his life, the way. He was kind of tossed around and literally suffered from elder abuse. That shaved years off his life. He was so vital, but there came a certain point where he's not only was he has physically beaten down but just the thought of like, "this is what it's come to". How could you do that to everyone's Grampa? So, you know what I'm saying, who gave so much joy in his lifetime, but at least, you know, he had that entire ten-year period of Marvel cameos, where at the end of his life, he got celebrated by the entire world. Everybody knows his name, even people that never heard of him before were, "Oh, that's Spider-Man's baby daddy". You know, maybe it was your idea to put him in the films? I remember seeing them in a movie years ago. Yeah. That was, for us, it was a no-brainer. Cause you got a movie about a guy that loves comic books. You got to Stan... Perfect marriage. And when we did it, I remember the movie came out in '95, there was just like, "Oh, Who? Stan Lee? That's quaint". You know, years later it became. A stamp of quality. I love seeing him in that movie. He's younger, obviously. I remember when he came to work with us, they were telling us "you gotta be careful, man, because this man is 73 years and he can go at any point". And he lasted another 23 years! *God bless him, man. Well, another thing, you've come here to Boston, to the restaurant at the House of Blues, which is a great venue. Lots of people, we've been out of work, but there are ways that people can keep it going. I appreciate that you came here to help us out. * I first heard of the Mooby's Pop-Up in the show that you did, Son in Lockdown and, that was just such a great thing to have your wife at that and Harley and Austin. Was it fun to just shoot if you're own your house? It was so adorable, especially considering it was in the middle of the quarantine and nobody was doing anything. So this TBS show Celebrity Show-Off presented itself as an opportunity. And they were like, "you can do anything you want, we're gonna give you a camera, shoot, whatever you want". And I was like, "can I shoot a sitcom"? They're like, "absolutely go ahead". So the entire town was shut down and you know, it's dopey to say, but we were literally the only sitcom in town that was shooting. It was a weird moment and it was fun to do it. It's the best job in the world, you don't even have to get dressed and drive to the studio. You wake up and you weren't in the studio. So it was such a good time! But it was a Kevin Smith joint, man! It was really, really funny Austin is such a rockstar! He's great. I put him in Clerks III... Do you have any updates, about Masters of the Universe: Revelation? I think the first time folks are going to see any imagery is coming up in May. We're in April right now. So next month. Do you like animation? I love it. It's phenomenal. The boys at Powerhouse Animation did a wonderful, wonderful job. They do_ Castlevania_ on Netflix, Seis Manos, Blood of Zeus. So all the characters look exactly the way they're supposed to. They just look like they were drawn now as opposed to the '80s. And so hey, if you want to talk about people who elevate it, man. I love the scripts that we came up with, but Powerhouse absolutely knocked it out of the park. They elevated our scripts and made far better cartoons than we provided them the "word power" to do so. Watching the whole thing come together, man. Because so many people work on it from your writing staff to then, your recording, and the vocal tracks. Then it all gets handed over to the animators and they do. iI's like movie making and it's like comic books at the same time. What's really wonderful about it is when you're working on a movie or something or a TV show, you know, you're seeing results on a regular basis because you're doing it. You got this window of time to do it when you're just the writer or showrunner on this animated series. My main job of just "let's get this thing written" was done early for us, it was the first job done. So I go about my life and then every few days there's a delivery of an art pack and you're like, "Holy shit". They drew all the characters and then as time goes on, it's like, "here's the first animatic". "Here's the second animatic". "This animatic is locked. Here's the automatics for episode two". Episode three, four. Oh my God. The finished animation for episode one is coming in. So it's this, this waterfall of productivity that you have nothing to do, with, other than getting to appreciate it. You wrote and your part is done. I mean, you can't go and make a script change. We can, as long as "lip flap" is off-camera. That continued and as much as periodically, we need to pick up these lines, we need to add new lines. Netflix thinks this needs clarity. So then you come up with that stuff and make that work and stuff. So you might need to even make new scenes, etc... Generally, it's not too deep in the process and going like, "Oh, I'm gonna write a whole new scene". if you do that, it's a big deal because the process is eight to ten months in. And once it starts going, it starts going, but being at the receiving end of all, the joy, the here's what Battle Cat looks like, you know, Oh my God, this is what Evil-Lyn looks like. This is what Evil-Lyn looks like with the helmet off. Every design before actually beginning to see the animatics and the animatics is the barest form. It's a digital storyboard or a moving storyboard. And even those were so pretty. I was like, "we could air this, fuck finishing, let's air this"! Let's just say thankfully Powerhouse push to finish it because the finished product is gorgeous. You can't just put out the pencils, you gotta ink this thing! I would! I come from comics, so I like when they do. So I love when they do Batman Black and White and just letters inked and pencils version. So I could have dealt with it, but people will be delighted to see how colorful the whole thing is. *Not for nothing. I love your Green Hornet. It was so great, I didn't expect to like the character, I mean, I liked what you did in comics, but I was just like, "Oh, this is a really great thing". It was drawn really awesome. * Jonathan Lau, man. He made that him and Phil. Phil Hester took my stuff and then he broke it down. Um, but wow. They turned it into a beautiful book. What was so satisfying about that for me was at the end of when I read all the books together, all the comics together... I was like, "It would have worked. We could have pulled that off as a movie!" Somebody could have, not me! *Absolutely. And coming up with comics and you are reading Batman, you are reading Spider-Man. You don't think of Green Hornet for comics, but you can do something cool with it. I could talk to you all day! * I tried to come up with the best "Cantina" question for you, one that I would ask on your podcast Fatman Beyond and not be embarrassed. But before I get to that, I watched the scene last night with the Ball Lickers, on the "Mooby's Internet" internet. So, you know, people get a chance to come down here and they can... ...and actually relive it. You are the ones who are the Ball Lickers! They can just do that from their phones! That was just so funny. But my, my "Ultimate Cantina Question" is about the Snyder Cut! Let's say Warner or whoever gives you $30 million dollars to redo a Kevin Smith movie, or to redo the CGI. What Kevin Smith movie would you give the #SnyderCut treatment to? Is it Tusk? I would go Red State. I would just shoot the ending. We cheaped out at the ending because we don't have any money. So, the ending was supposed to be the apocalypse. Angels showing up, slaying people and shit like that, these giant angels. So at a certain point, we were like "Alright, do you want to shoot the ending of that movie and that ending?" "Do you want to wait to shoot that movie in that ending for however long it takes to find the money for it?" "...or do you want to shoot a version of the movie now where you've let go of the supernatural element that was in the last scene?" So then I changed it to him being over the loudspeaker and "it was a hoax and blah, blah, blah". So if I had like #SnyderCut money, I'd go back and I would shoot the angels show up, ending like the apocalyptic world ending. I'd have a lot of money left over! But I think that would be the one that I would love to take in the direction of the original vision. And I love Red State what it became and stuff, but that ending would have been so fucking weird. Do617: Well, you know, when people after seeing this interview, they might demand the release of the #SnyderCut of Red State. KS: Release the #RedderCut! Yes! Well, I'm just so happy to talk to you, man. I'm really excited to be here at Mooby's. Thanks for helping out Boston. Thanks for helping out everybody here at the House of Blues Restaurant and, everybody makes a couple of bucks and people can have some fun doing it because you came here. I think this is a perfect time. just about to open up. This is like a preview. This is a preview of the good time for the summer that's going to come. They were asking me when I rented the car today, when I was leaving Logan, the lady was like "You're from, California, how is it about there? I was like "the exact same thing as it is here. You guys are about to open". That's been the fun part of taking Mooby's around the country is that it's always at a restaurant that's been closed for a while. So it's good for the business. It's also good for the staff morale. You can forget when you're in the restaurant business, your friends are your coworkers, you see them every day. A lot of folks haven't seen their friends for a year and stuff. "Zoom Cocktail Hour" just doesn't cut it. It really, really doesn't at the end of the day. At the end of the day, being in a room with people, human interaction, I'm not saying you got to lick each other's faces and shit..being in a room with people and talking and nothing will replace it. Well, thanks so much, Kevin. It's an honor, man! Damn pleasure man! ** BUY TICKETS AT THE LINK ABOVE AND LEARN MORE: http://moobyspopup.com (http://moobyspopup.com)** Special Guest: Kevin Smith.

In today's episode of The Speakers Life I talk with Jonathan Low, keynote speaker on sales success, service experience and leadership performance. Hey, there's James Taylor here and I'm delighted to welcome Jonathan Low. Jonathan Low is a speaker and executive coach who works with organizations and senior executives to measurably improve their leadership effectiveness and business performance, especially in the areas of service quality, sales, performance, leadership, communication and team development. Jonathan has more than 25 years of professional and international business experience and executive positions in the service industry, and has worked with executives and leadership teams throughout Asia and the Middle East. He is a certified speaking professional CSP, one of Asia's leading sales and service, mastery and leadership success coaches, a certified coach with Marshall Goldsmith sec, and a certified global certified Canfield mythology trainer. He has lots of qualifications, this gentleman, he also has a new virtual summit is going to be happening very soon called the Global success summit that we're going to be learning about in just a moment. So first of all, Jonathan, welcome. Great to have you with us here today. Thank you, James. Thank you for having me in part of your program. So I was mentioning which is the end there this the global success summit. And you were just tell me before we came on, you've got one day coming up, you're doing 12 interviews in one day for for creating this new summit that you're doing with, with Shah and casino. So tell me first of all, tell me a little bit about this. This global success summit was about why we decided to create this summit. Well, you know, did the summit really came about because of you, you know, you you inspire others, you give us the opportunity to reach out and both shine myself. We are graduates of jack Canfield. So obviously the success principle. And because of that, we say hey, you know what, why don't we do something on the area of success. And let's explore things that we can do to you know, create better success for everyone in the world, whether they're speaker, whether they are entrepreneur, whether they're in a corporate environment. So we came up with Why don't have the global success summit, right. And we developed five different pillars. So they want us on the pillar of sales, second day is on customer service experience, 30 days on leadership, four days on communication, and 50 days on the power of digital marketing. So we thought, you know, these are elements of success that people will generally meet in their life. And we say, hey, great, and I'll let's do it. And yeah, my first on my summit coming up in August 26 to 30 years, so excited. So a lot of people I know where I deal with speakers, like yourself, my speakers, you program and, and the hear about doing online summits or virtual science, they get really excited because they see the possibility in terms of helping them position themselves and bringing more speaking gigs and other revenue streams. But the thing that often puts them off is the technology piece, they get worried they get little bit worried about I have to deal with the web pages. And now that I do that, so how are you finding the process? Because you don't come from a technology background? You come very much from a speaker, service leadership side. Yeah. So one thing I noticed was, you know, find people so Charlotte's actually done the online Fisher global summit. And I thought we have expertise in running dash you are probably have the backend already done. So I gave her a call and say, Hey, you know, share, you have done the backend, I'm pretty well connected to a lot of good friends globally, during my tenure as the global speakers Federation president of three years ago, and I say, Hey, why don't I just connect with the right people. And let's see how we can, you know, bring more global experts to share their expertise. And you know, I'll take care of the front end, and you work on the back end to support. So I think that's working out pretty well. And it's about collaboration, I like to say, you know, the back end really is like so much work. But you know, it's been a great ride, you know, and she was very comfortable in doing that she's got a great team supporting us. So that's a good balance. And collaboration is key, especially in the speaker's world, because we have caught respective talents, respective expertise, and just begin to focus on those. They talk about this idea about collaboration, you mentioned that you were the president of the global speakers Federation, which kind of sits I always think it kind of sits above all the the National Speakers associations are happening around the world as well. And everyone, I know this, this, take it on that that role is a very, it's been quite an intense job to have to do that, that role as well. But I know it's very rewarding for the people that do it as well. So what what were your key takeaways from being so deeply involved in the speaking into the association side of speaking? Well, actually, and I spent about 20 plus year in the hospitality business, you know, working different hotels around Asia Pacific. So I really come from a platform of service. And when my hotel Korea, you know, gave me an opportunity to become a professional trainer speaker, I learned it myself in this association in Malaysia, which is called the Malaysian association of professional speaker. And I serve, you know, ran into the premise of what can I do for you, you know, because of my hotel background, I kind of like this asset ruin, if there's anything I can be of service to you, how can I assist you? And never did I know, opportunity came and I was elected to be the president, then at the Malaysian association of professional speaker. And then after, when that finish, I open my mouth and say to the global in the global team and say, Hey, you know, I'm done with my Malaysian duties, is there anything I can be of service to the global speakers Federation, and, you know, I came in as a treasurer, I became the secretary. So I went through the whole different roles. But, and that was where I got the opportunity to become the first Malaysian the first Asian president of the global speakers Federation, a huge honor, lot of responsibility. But fantastic, rewarding experience of just, you know, learning from an individual perspective, from a speaker's perspective. And just from a service perspective to if anyone is watching or listening to this just now who is a speaker or aspiring speaker, but they're not a member of Speakers Association, what do you see the benefits of joining Speakers Association? Think the Speakers Association will give them a collective network of professional speakers who are really active. And sure, you know, there are a lot of great clubs, you know, they can help build your public speaking, competency like Toastmasters is fantastic clubs. My personal experience joining a professional speaking association is that you really have people who are actively involved in the business. And the member association is really there to help you to become better in doing your business, giving you new tools, giving you new insight, providing resources, that generally may not be available in a Toastmasters because there's just the speaking side of it, but also the side of building the business, which is very important. So you learn a lot of perspective, right? And with all this perspective that you gain, it's about what resonates with you, you know, some people like this large scale businesses, some are pretty happy with a smaller size business and are quite happy with it. And you get insights with a lot of opportunities, virtual assistants, so that the whole campaign. So sometimes, you know, when I first came into the business, I was really blown away, I went to an NSA convention, which is in the States. And I was like, wow, there's so much to learn. Read, where do I start? Am I ever even going to succeed in this business because it was so overwhelming. So So for me, it was the the the education perspective, that was great. But more importantly, was the people in it that made it really great. So something I didn't really realize, last time I was in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur that we were together, was just getting us a better feel on the speaking industry in Malaysia itself as a place to speak. And the thing I hadn't really realized was how big the training industry is in Malaysia. Now, I also know that it's gone through some difficult times recently, there's been a lot of changes in the speaking and the training side of the business. So we, I think it'd be useful for anyone that doesn't know that part of Asia. What are some key things that you find it but people coming in from outside and not from Malaysia, and they're looking at the speaking or the training industries in in Malaysia, that they can have to recognize that it's useful to know about? Well, current training is big, you know, in terms of the government, they actually set up a place that is called a p SME, or what we call the Human Resource Development Fund. So organization have to contribute a certain percentage of their revenue you set aside for training and development for their own team members in the company. So that fund is available. And if it's not utilized, it's going to be burning and everything. So which means it is going to be compulsory for organization to set people into training. Now they are slowly moving into coaching, allocation. Speaking, is somehow you know, a little bit in between, because speaking, keynotes, is usually one hour, one and a half hours. And so from the training perspective, they like to see more of the nine to five, you get some tangible skills take back as part of the deliverables. So this is where the focus of training has been much more, I would say, in Asia, unless you are a speaker is traveling around different region. So that's a little bit different. So primary, a lot of the people in Malaysia would be trainers, come speakers I started started as a trainer. Right? So So I still do, perhaps about 50% sound of my work currently is your workshop facilitation, two or three days, workshop facilitation, and speaking is about 20 to about 30% of my business mix. And if you do it also a lot of work in the Middle East, as well as in Asia and North America as well. What do you notice as you start to move around different countries different territory, there's that there's that blend change for you? Do you find that you're doing more keynote speaking and speaking in Middle East, for example, where Asia tends to be more on the training side, in the Middle East to, especially in Saudi is still a little bit more on the training side of it, that has got more engagement, in terms of the keynote is really events that happen, and it may select the destination. So primarily, the business is usually for people who are working there. And this is where you get a little bit more of the people who are resonates towards their. But I see more of like destination like Hong Kong, right? Singapore, which is very popular for North American companies that will have their annual conferences in Asia, you know, they will have it a perhaps Bangkok. And this is where a lot of the keynote speaking primarily in those cities. But the audience may not necessarily be from those countries. Yeah, I was amazed in Singapore, how, how, how many events conferences are going on there? You go to some of those. There's conference venues? And it's I don't know the exact numbers. But it all seems there's a lot of international speakers who use Singapore as their as their hub of places to go as well. Does that does that? Does that benefit you in Malaysia? Or is actually is that correct? Does that cause a bit of a challenge? Because you've got all this competition is just sitting over the board of it? Well, I see it a little bit different. Some people they will see it as competition, for me personally, is about what can I do better, to upscale myself, right, so that I'm in the same playing field. And I can be just as great as one of my peers in Singapore. Right. So I think, you know, bringing that level of playing few really helps one another. So it's not so much about a the internet to my pie. But we always believe in the speakers were the pie is big enough for everyone to have a slice of it. And we didn't speakers, we can do everything. And the thing is, you know, I like my James, you focus a lot on creativity. And for me, I do a lot of on sales and service. So you know, if things are creativity, I would probably say, Hey, you know, reach out to James Taylor, you know, he's one of the best in creativity and innovation. So we also cross reference, we cross support, because the conference organizers they may be engaging me for this year, but may not be the same speaker for next year. And this is where the opportunities, and when we see someone have spoken as a speaker, we are going to be more comfortable to promote or to recommend. So what one of the great benefit as a member of a professional speaker Association, when you get a chance to be there. Other people get to see you in action, too. So highly recommended for you to visit as many as possible. Yeah, I've recommended a lot of those, you know, when we've been united been together in Singapore or in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, we've seen speakers together and oh, I want to recommend her she's great, you know that she's got something you know, I know you have, you know, everyone has websites, and all those good things as well. But I should to see someone in, they can really do their thing on stage, it just makes you feel confident that the when you refer that person to a client, because maybe you've spoken there one year, and then they come back to you like just last week, I had three clients who I spoke for last normal 12 months ago, and maybe 10 months ago. Who came but James, can you recommend some speakers? These are the topics that with all themes for our conference. And I'm immediately going back in my mental Rolodex and thinking like to Oh, I see it seeing polio, who do they see in India in Chennai, it's an Oh, who's this great that Bureau, they'll be a great person to connect with them in that territory. So you talk a lot about services. And whenever I think of jobs, I always think of ServiceNow that's, that's what you're going to know and for that. So as you're with your part speaker, hat on and part service hat on, when you look at how other speakers are delivering a great service service excellence for the clients and for the audiences. Can you put me to some people you've seen do some speakers or do things recently, where you went? Actually, that's great. That's, that's an example of giving great service either to, to the client or to the audience. But it's a great question. So in terms of examples, I think a lot of the speakers in, for example, in APSS, to or even in the different member Association, what one thing that I like, is, you know, when when they actually finish an engagement, they follow through processes really good. And the sharing of the knowledge is a very powerful in terms of how they are developing the relationship and the sharing that openly amongst speaker, but with the client, I also see a lot of them doing pairing up opportunity. Now what is pairing up opportunities or parallel opportunities, you know, when you see, when you visit a speaker's bureau, you know, you go as a pair. So again, you may be a different discipline. And this is where you can actually support one another. I mean, if I were to say, Jonathan, Jonathan is really a great guy. It looks funny if I say about myself, but if I am there with you, James, I think you know what James James is an excellent speaker and interview via concert in James on at the end of you, James, you're there with me, and you speak about them. Me. So it's much more credibility. And I began to see more speakers buddying up to do that I did in a networking event, or when a going together to meet clients, potentially a lot of cross opportunities happening. And that was really giving service, you know, really not about thinking about the next transaction or the business. But how can we best give value to the customer? Because this is really a long term business. And industry is really small. Because everyone after a while pretty much know who is who, and if, and the same the speaker's bureau, right, because they also talk among themselves. And they also process they, you know, who is the recommended people, you know, that is going to be really reliable, who are the prima donnas kind of a day very difficult to work with, you know, we shy away from that or just make it easy for the customers to what we do, right? Whether it is a bureau whether it is because because that represented professionalism, and as member of the global speakers, Federation member Association. I mean, personally, for me, it is so good that people will speak highly of the member Association for professional members. And people say, Oh, you belong to a professional Singapore or you belong to match or you know, Australia. They'll say, Wow, they have got the quality of the speakers that you should highly consider. Yeah, that would be my aspiration. But essentially, that you just mentioned that about the buddying up. I think that's that's an interesting, I mean, obviously, you were with your, your online summit you're doing just now with a char. That's it. That's a form of buddying up. And you're actually I think there's something really powerful about I remember doing that with event professional sort of myself and a speaker from California, Aaron Gargan, as a great speaker on social media. And a lot of people commented about because it's so unusual to see, you know, you normally see the speakers out on their own and these kind of lone wolf characters, to see two people working together that well, that's, that's, that's an, especially if you get a nice, a good chemistry together, you know, either in person or whether you're, you know, you're filming together, for example, I think that could be really cool. But you actually got me thinking there about, about that. Solving the customers problems and helping them solve their problems. I'm often you mentioned, I speak about creativity. And, and I'm talking often more about generation of ideas, developing those ideas. I don't often focus so much on the what we call it more innovation processes, which is, you know, the standard operating procedures, different things about creating innovation, on what ongoing innovation processes in your business, right. But that's, maybe for example, we IO actually, maybe why should be doing is I should be connecting with some of those great innovation speakers are out there. And saying, why don't we buddy up together, and we'll go in and pitch on certain pieces together, or maybe even the stage before me, when on strategy I work I'm often brought in because they've done some companies some big strategy document into actually we need to be more creative. And that's why they will they'll bring me in and help work with them there. But maybe I need to be working with the person women before me who's focusing on helping develop the strategy and talking about strategy and companies or positioning guys, that is real value, right. And the beta customers get the whole spread from point A to point z. Yeah, so his journey, and that is really adding value, and you're giving them easy accessibility to the right speaker that can complement the whole experience of the conference, and people are looking for experience these days, you know, because the more engaged and more emotionally engaged in the conference, and that is really about the what what the speakers can actually bring about, then then the whole experience is much better, right? Rather than you have independent speakers, and they're probably focusing on the core expertise area, without really connecting the dots for the whole event. So that that's another opportunity, I feel. And you mentioned that you've seen a lot of speakers at do really well the follow up process, after you've come off stage. And you've done your as a speaker, you've done your thing, and they're very good at that follow up and helping to continue to continue that journey with the client or to continue to add value or to continue to follow up to look for new opportunities related to that, that gig, can you give me an example, as many speakers are yourself things that you do, just to ensure that you're, you're providing great value, and you're helping that, you know, client solve their their problem. So one of the things from my, the things that I'm currently doing is that give them accessibility to me. So I use the platform LinkedIn, pretty much a lot. And this is one platform that can really connect with me. So whoever I see in a conference, I have a large QR code. And there are some of the speakers already sharing this about connecting via QR code, putting onto the screen and people just a minute camera there and get connected with you immediately. So you have a connection, wishes very good for your follow up. And because you have that immediate, so he was speaking a conference for 100 or 200 people, within the time that you're there is relatively very difficult for you to reach out to so many. But with this opportunity, you can immediately follow up with them. And as part of the follow up, what I do is, I will always say thank you so much for being there. And at the same time, I will provide a videos for myself, because I do a lot of video sharing tips on what people can actually do. So send them a video and say, Hey, you know, I was just in Hong Kong speaking at a conference, and I did a video on, you know, three strategies on how to gain better commitment with your clients. So I hope you appreciate that. And if you like it, you can connect with my YouTube playlist. So adding all these additional things, which is not so much on the selling side of it, but just providing value, helping them to become better in whatever they're doing. And then remember you they will remember yourself. Yeah, so it is what what are some of the things that I do to follow up. So go to opportunity, if you're done a really good job, reach out to a couple of them to share some of their experience right in as part of the recommendation of how the conference has actually benefited them. So in your time in the past 20 years of speaking and training and speak about global speakers, Federation, and maps as well. you've attended a lot of events, I'm sure you've picked up been given a lot of business cards at that time as well. What have you found x I'm always I have these bags, every time I speak at event, I have a plastic Ziploc bag, each event. And obviously just put all the business cards in that event. And sometimes I've written on the back of them. And also I can process either at the airport lounge and go through them or when I get back back into the office. What do you do with all those those business cards? How do you have a process in terms of going through those to be able to know which ones you connect with? Well, I actually have an apps on my phone and the apps just trying to find the apps I'm using right now. But the FI gives me an opportunity to choose to scan the business card. So I'll have a business card and there it will lead me. He also asked me where do I want to fight which database? It gives me a chance to prioritize in different segment, Oh, I know what corporate whether it's speaker or whether it is you know what conference that I met that person. So it helps me to manage my folder a little bit. because like you said, You know, I use him bags and bags of cards. And after obviously, I'll get someone to get in. But that's someone never really happens. And after all that oh my gosh, discuss all like six months old. What do I do it? What do I do key it is to value. And the other thing is also because of the privacy factor is very stringent data protection. So I'll be cautious when we do emailing when it comes to that. But otherwise, you know, I try to get everyone to continue on social media, because I think that is safer platform that people can still communicate and work with you or find you on just have a relationship bill. So we will find the name of the app, I think I used one A while back called card Munch or card muncher or something which seemed to connect with LinkedIn. Mostly that's still available. But we'll get we'll get the name of the app that you you're talking about. And I was actually caught a abbyybcr business card reader. business card reader I surely guess yeah. But that's the apps. Yeah, yeah, that's great. So we'll put that link in there if anyone's interested in that as well. Because there is that thing when you go and speak in event you get so many business cards, I have to I've got such a terrible memory, I have to almost immediately write on the business card. I don't like writing and business card in front of someone. I think it's disrespectful. But as soon as I get to a quiet place, I'm immediately writing down all the notes from these business cards. But maybe that's a sense that you've got much more streamlined way of doing it. So definitely check that out. And just a couple days ago, we had the opportunities to I had an opportunity to interview Gil Gil Pepita, sir Yeah, and you know, he's called the networking mastermind and he was sharing some tips on how you know about how he collects the card and how he has caught p one p two p three p for and what he does with that. So that's going to be happening on the online global success summit. Right. So again, opportunities to learn from some of the great people who are practice you know, who actually did the masters of doing that? Well get Gail is amazing. So if anyone's watching this listening, and you want to know about Gil system, because he I mean, Gil works with Tony Robbins, he's an absolute master when it comes to networking, then you're going to want to sign up for that the password global success summit, so you can hear your Jonathan's interview with Gil and just start to finish up here. I always ask this question of any speakers I'm with I'm always intrigued about the gadgets and things that they carry with them. What's in your speaker bag? What do you carry with you to all those various speaking engagements, customer speakers by a mic, I have a mic and really go on road ROD. Right. And I'm always ready if there's opportunity to get a quick video or recording, especially in conferences that are spoken in. And if I know that a couple of people who resonate and they're really intrigued, I was just kind of asked them to share a couple of things that we should have found really useful. And what was really exciting about it, so always have that handy. And possibly for me, every city that I go to, I will also have a tripod ever ready so that I can do video recording. And use your phone to do the video recording you have like a separate cameras the iPhone, so I use the iPhone. And there are a couple of apps that supports that too. And the mic you're talking about is that the the road I think it's called the lab the lab smart lab one which you just connect on you put on a lovely Oh my god, yeah, I've got one there's they're great. And I think it's especially because I remember doing my my first few events and people ask that we'd love to give you a testimonial. And I would go at that with my phone. And it would give me testament I didn't they didn't have a mic on. And I've go back to try and look at the video. And I couldn't hear what they were saying because it was so loud in these conference recording. So that's that's a good tip. Just have one of those the road mics, one of those mines and also have another extension. Hmm, you know, it's always good, because sometimes people may be a little bit further. So when you have an extension, it gives you the opportunity that they a little bit further away. And you can get a little bit more of the background of the convention too. Because if not, it's going to be proximity is going to be just face to face at this distance. So if you have a longer Mike extension that connects much better. And what about things like clickers? Do you take you click it your own clicker on the road with you? Or do you just use whichever clicker you're given this? Yes, I do have my own, and I use one by Congress. That's fantastic. And then if people want to connect with you to learn more about Jonathan louder, the speaker and everything you're going going on there. And then also if they want to go and find out about global success summit, where the places that they should go to do that. So great, great wall to get in show. Welcome to the show. Happy to be here, James, thank you for inviting me. So I was just saying that you you just pick up that amazing award for United Nations global entrepreneur cancel. What was the event like that? I believe it was in China and India, right. It was a beautiful event. And I didn't know that it was such a prestigious event. I learned I learned. Well, I learned this and officially that there were about 3700 applications and nominations, and only about 50 were awarded. So it was beautiful. And I met a lot of people from more than 15 countries who are also aware of this. Well, congratulations. Because it's interesting. through doing speakers, you and obviously your speakers, you student as well. And that there are the speakers you committee is fantastic. But whenever it was it to me, like who who's doing, who's doing really interesting stuff in the community just now. And I also mentioned your name, because one of the things I think you're so good at is actually taking action. You know, a lot of people talk about things, but you you will learn something, learn a concept, learn a strategy, learn a technique. And not only do you take action on it, but usually by the next week, you've said, Hey, James, I tried that thing I did this, and I even tried this little extra thing is about what do you think of this? So where do you get your mean? Where did you learn the ability to really be action oriented, because not all people like that, and and we don't go to those lengths. So my background was I was an employee for nine years. And you know, as an employee, if you have ideas, you can adjust, incorporate them right away, because there has to be approvals from the higher bosses. And when they become an entrepreneur, I really love the flexibility to be able to execute your abs. And I think one of the things that I really learned early on was not to be afraid to make mistakes. So I like whenever I had a seminar or a gathering or, or an event. I just looked one thing. One key takeaway, I don't have to look for so many things, one key takeaway. And from that one key takeaway, what action can I do right away. And I just love taking action ever small team. So we're pretty dynamic. And when I when I have an idea, I communicate with my team, and sometimes within a few hours execute, or sometimes a few days or a few weeks to execute. Now one of those ideas that you've executed very well is you I think you heard me speak at a conference. I've talked about online summits and virtual summits. And I remember you coming up to me saying I love I like I wanted I want to do this, I want to do this. And then very quickly, you actually started your very first summit, and we were going to work together on that. And then from there, you've gone on to build other summits, where you're also co hosting with other speakers, for example. So take take me through that. What is it about online summits? Do you enjoy? Because you've you've done more than one now? And what what have you found have been the benefits of doing online or virtual summits? And where do you see them going terms of how you, you bring into all the other things that you're doing in your career and in your professional life just now. Right? So prior to meeting you at the Asia professional speakers convention in 2018, I've seen some of your online summits. And I really, really wanted to meet you. Because I wanted to ask for your permission, James, can I also do the same? And so when I met you in Singapore, I asked him James, can you do the same? And then you said, Of course you can. And I'll be happy to help you. You don't even have to ask for my permission. So anyway, we did I met in me the the talk on on online summits. And we launched our first ever each our summit global in August. And I really had fun doing it. My main reason for doing the online summit was because as a speaker, I get invited by HR professionals to speak to their companies. So before my speaking engagements, I would talk to these HR professionals, and I see their problems. I know their concerns, when employees have problems have concerns, they go to HR, but what NHRF concerns or problems, their backs are against the wall because they need to learn how to motivate themselves. So I wanted to be the go to person of HR professionals, when they need some motivation. It's like my way of giving back to them, because they're the ones giving me business. So when you when you hit that online summit event in a mean, lecture, or a thought in the Asia professional speakers convention, I thought that the first summit they will do is for the HR professionals, it's really to give value to the HR professionals. And I was also very happy because you and all the other global speakers agreed to speak at the summit and give value to the HR professionals. So I wanted the the online summits to be communities where people can learn can be inspired. And the speakers can also give value. It's a platform for them for your messages to be heard. So you did that the very first one and I was so impressed. And you mentioned it. Obviously we met in May. And then you launched it in August with three, three months or so getting up and running. What What were the what were the key? I mean, the good thing that you identified very early on, was we spoke a lot about your customer avatar, and you had a really good sense of your customer avatar that HR professional is struggling is needing motivated meeting there's idea. So so that was great, you really identified that very early on, what were the key challenges that you find in creating your your first online or virtual summit? key challenge at that time was the internet connection in the Philippines. So at that time, the internet connection in the Philippines is in our office was very slow. So what I did was I had to rent a private room in a co working space. And of course, the rent is not that cheap. And so I had to maximize doing interviews on a daily basis. So sometimes I would do nine to 10 interviews in a given day. And I realized, wow, this can be so tiring mentally and also, physically, as you guys my voice. So I think that was one of the biggest challenges that we had. But we had a lot of fun as well, my team and I had a lot of fun. And also since it was the first time that we did the online summit, we had to really, you know, I had to review your slides during the the WBN in Singapore, and had the philosophy What's next? What's next, what's next. So that really helped me your thought really helped me and your slides really helped me. So you have that first one. And I always say when creating any type of online or virtual summit, the first was always the most difficult because you haven't you're having to deal with the technological side, you're thinking about that you're thinking about the content and everything, but the marketing and all and how to get out into the world, the next summit that you decided to do, what was the next one after that? Okay, the next one was the overseas Filipino summit. So the reason why we did that is because I send out inspirational emails every Monday. And I will usually receive lengthy emails from all races Filipinos really resist Filipino workers, and they they share with me their problems, their concerns, etc. And some of the emails were so lengthy, they really divulge their concerns, and sometimes I would be able to answer all of them, but sometimes because I receive hundreds of emails, we don't get to answer to each and every one. But But I read everything that the they've written me. And so I have a good idea, good sense on what their problems were. And it just sparked that in my mind, okay, somebody, I'd like to do something for you. And so when the idea of online summits came to mind, through your talk, I decided that the next set of people would like to serve it overseas Filipinos, because, you know, as Filipinos, they have a lot of concerns, one of them is really missing their families a lot. And I also know a lot of speakers, starting speakers in the fitness space in the Philippines, who also wants who also want to have a platform where they can share the message. So it's like a melting pot of speakers wanting to be heard. And these people who want some guidance and inspiration as well. So you don't really know you knew the kind of the technology side of running a virtual summit by this point. You said you knew how the kind of formats and things what what were the key learnings from that summit that you took away? I think the key learnings there is to have to have fun. I try to because because in the beginning, in my first summit, of course, there were you know, I was trying to really follow the procedure etc. In the offices Filipino assignment, I really tried to have fun, because now I know I know how to do it. And also because the language that we used was, you know, mixed of our our first language and also English. So it was it was more cash flow, it was more relaxed. It was more of family family oriented. Yeah. So So I think the key learning very, I was intentional that, okay, I want to have fun when I do the overseas Filipino summit. And I want the audience as well to feel the fun that even if they're abroad, or they're, they're far from their families, they have a community online community, who can who they can share fun or happiness with. But once again, you've identified identified your avatar, you knew who your avatar was, what the other key challenges were, so you could provide some of that content. And then what was one of the did after that was that the authors some of the moved into next? Yes, we so we have the global authors summit. But this is a lives live in person event. So the reason why we did that was because I have this 90 day book writing challenge. And after the challenge, there is a book launch. And we've always had the introduction to book writing, plus book launch, 1.0, and 2.0 3.0, etc. In 2018, I noticed that so many authors are going to launch their books, so many graduates of the online course, we're going to launch their books, and they couldn't fit in one event. And so I decided, Okay, and since some of these authors would fly in from so many other countries, although most of them are Filipinos, I decided, why not elevate this to another level. So instead of the International book launch that we're having, which which we usually have about 100 150 people during the book launch. So how about creating a global event for authors? And so we launched the global authors summit. And I think we had around 350 to 400 people who attended the event, and we had about 22 authors who launched their books. Okay, so you see, you kind of took a slightly different direction with that one as well. And a question I'm sometimes asked is about virtual summits, online summits is, well, what is the that are Why? What's the return on that time that money it costs, you know, to put these together? So what was the ROI was similar things that you were looking to get from each summit or was a slightly different, you will, you're measuring success in slightly different ways with a different summit. So I think the ROI for the two online summits that I did was, number one is trust, you're building trust and relationship with your audience. And I know that trust the basis of any business, any business transaction is trust. So if you if you build trust with the with the audience, I was hoping that you can get also speaking engagements from there. But But the main, the main reason really, for me doing the HR summit global was number one to give value. Number two, I wanted to build relationship with all the other speakers and varied from them as well. And for them to have a platform the share their message. And number three, this is the this is the effect now. So these are the causes, why why I put up the online summit, the effect that I want, the effect would be if I get speaking engagements from from from that summit, then that will be a big bonus. And I think it's it's being because I have an invitation to speak in mail deems next know, two months from now, next month in August. And yeah, and I know that we were speaking on stage together in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia recently. I see you've been in Paris, I think you in the other day, and then California, I think as well. So you're certainly certainly helping also build your brand, internationally. Right, right. Yes, definitely. So it builds your brand internationally, you're right leaves, I forget about that. So James, and I shared the stage in India. And then I also spoke in Malaysia with James. And then I was the host for the post convention in Singapore in May as well. And I also had a speaking engagement in New York, this March 2018 2019. Wonderful. So you're, you're you're spreading your wings, you're going you're going global now as well. And this this new summit that you're working on at the moment, you decided to something which I which I always actually encouraged a lot of speakers to do because I often think a lot of speakers we're we can, we can get very in our own thing. And we can get very, it's sometimes course a lot of speakers, lone Wolf's there, they just focus on their own thing, don't think, you know, the bigger the more the community side of it. And and I don't think there's a lot of speakers, if you're doing a summit, whether your first or subsequent summits, to co host one, because it can add a lot of fun. And it takes some of the pressure off as well. And you can go into areas that maybe you're even not as you're not known as the expert in at the moment, but allows you to move sideways a little bit as well. Tell us about this, this new one you've got going on with you, you're actually doing them with another speakers, you remember, right, I'm doing this with the Jonathan low also speakers, Hugh member, he was the former president of the global speakers Federation as well. And he actually invited me shot, can we do a project together an online summit together. And so we decided to put up the global success summit. And so both of us are members of speakers, you have James Taylor. And also, both of us are jack Canfield, certified trainers on success principles. So that's where the word success came from. And then we decided to focus on five pillars. So sales, service, leadership, communication, and digital marketing. So obviously, my expertise there is only on communication, one pillar. And this is good, cuz, cuz Jonathan Lau is really known for sales and service. And so he gets to interview a lot of people from from those feelers and I get to interview some people from communication, and we both get to interview some people from the leadership and in the digital digital marketing sphere. And in terms of how, how you're dividing up the workload, so are you doing kind of 5050 interviews? Or is he gonna do more than two years, then you're going to, you know, you've got a team that work for you, as well, you is your team going to help on doing all the infrastructure in the launch and in the marketing? To solo john will do most of the interviews, because he knew more of the people who will be who will be guessing in the summit. And they'll do more of the back end. So editing of the videos, setting up the systems, etc. And also the marketing plan. Now, I first heard of it heard of your work more through your writing than I did anything else more for the speaking side. So you're known as a, as an author and author coach in a writing coach as well? And how have these online summits, how they they worked alongside your writing and your author coaching? Because I would imagine, as we have other speakers, you remember, like Shelley Taylor, for example, who have used a lot of their content from their summit in order to put them into book because that's something that you've done, or do you see them as quite separate types of products? It's a bit separate, but I think the way to to marry the two was that now I'm a speaker on gratitude. And one of the one of the questions I asked during the HR summit global, one of the ultra questions I asked was, how important is gratitude in, in life and in business, and that is something that I can also incorporate, because I'm writing a book on gratitude. And so now I can say that I have, I have done some interviews with more than 3040 people, global speakers to also share their inputs on what gratitude is. So yeah, so they can available to us some inputs from the interview. I look, I'm writing, was there any in doing all? I mean, you have you worked out how many interviews you've done. Now, you must have been a lot of interviews as part of all these virtual sites. Right. So I'm guessing that I'm getting I'm guessing you up into the hundreds now? Okay, maybe, maybe around 7080? Yeah, almost almost 100? And were there any any interviews that you did, as part of that? where someone, a guest said something or did something? It really can it made you maybe rethink what you're doing in your own business and in your own life? Yes. In fact, one of them is your dreams, because I can see how how strategic you were, especially in using automation and technology. And that is something that my team and I still have to work on, because some of the process that will be redoing, are very manual. And so I'm still saying how can I, how can I put more automation in what we're doing? Fantastic. So it's been it's great. I mean, I think you've done such a good job on doing these virtual summits. The when it comes when you start really moving into the marketing automation is gonna be a piece of cake for you and your team. I know you'll be you'll be very good at executing on that as well. So where do we go and and where do you go now? What's your next? What is it the rest of this year look like for you? Okay, so the rest of the year, we'll do more online summits, we will relaunch the HI summit, global, Filipino summit. And we're cooking up to two new online summits. One is the global success summit with Jonathan Lau. And the other one is the world gratitude summit. So the road gadget summit is a bit different from the other assignments I've done, because it's a noble movement. We want to encourage people to adopt the attitude of gratitude. And we're planning to launch this on September 21, during the world that it should be. And also, one of the things that we're really looking at is, is to have more speaking engagements, globally, overseas. So this, this August, I was invited to speak in Melbourne. And then a speaker's bureau invited me to speak in Dubai. Fantastic you so you're definitely expanding globally now. Which which is amazing. And what so you know, you you're going on to these gigs in Maldives, and Dubai, and New York as well. What is in your speaker bag, what you would you carry with you to all these various speaking engagements and do the keys, I have my laptop, and then I have my clicker and some extra batteries. And then I have a USB as well. So I think those are just my speakers. But I also have this small my tiny Mike that I use, because I love the villain on the road. And I just use my iPhone, and then a little modified. Yeah, gimbal but haven't been using it. And I know I've seen you do a lot of things in terms of social media, which is really all about building your brand overall and brought into the sense of gratitude. What was working for you when it comes to social media at the moment? Okay, I think for social media, it's just a way to build awareness and to square conversations. But what really is what's really working for me right now is email marketing. So in terms of converting customers, email marketing really works. But I would say that social media is also very effective because I remember I asked the organizers of the United Nations global entrepreneurs Council, I asked them how did they How did you get to know me because I didn't apply for the award. And they said Oh, we've been following you on social media for the past six months. So in a way that was also actually building my brand and I'm very grateful for that. So you're going to be hitting the road next you've got all these summits are going to be coming up as well if if people want to learn a bit more about you and everything you're doing and following you online where's the best place to go that central point them to go and find out more about you? Alright, so you mean go to my website shut Missy know that calm? Or if you would like some some of my you know, fun side? You mean go to my Instagram account at SHOT underscore casino. And for anyone that's been moved to be hearing by speakers, you we talked about speakers you at the start? What have you found to be the benefit. So being speakers, you remember, the key. So number one is the community. Number two is the one on one coaching with James Taylor, and nothing surprised, and James is praising the speakers you very, very low, because that includes already the one in one coaching. And number three, I really like all the contents in all the training videos. You know, James, when I attend conventions, or learning events, it's not really for the learning. I mean, the live events, it's not really for the learning. It's more of you know, to meet people and observe how speakers do their job. Because I know that the information I need when it comes to building my career as a global speaker, is all inside the speakers you Yes, funny that is that I mean, I think that's been a big, big change in recent years about events, not just speakers, events, but events more generally, I was an event the other day attending, I wasn't speaking at it. And I left it thinking, I could have watched all of that as videos that were YouTube videos, because some of the speakers already had YouTube videos, I didn't really physically go there. And unfortunately, the event wasn't didn't do a particularly good job in, in organizing the community and the connecting piece. And I just what a huge waste. Because the people that yourself, you're putting out so much great in terms online summits for the content, side. So when you come together for a live event, the contents out there already, what you want for those live events is a community that you were talking about. And we just sometimes it was little conversation. I know you and I think in India, we have breakfast One morning, and we're just sharing ideas and sharing strategies on how to build our speaking businesses. So I absolutely agree with you. I think that's where we, that's where live events can really do to do well as the focus on that community piece. Right, exactly. So thank you so much for coming on today. show it's always a pleasure speaking to you. I'm always deeply impressed by how quickly you're able to execute on your ideas. And if people haven't checked that shall go and check out showers work. She's really doing a phenomenal job of building her brand internationally using virtual summits. But also combine that with her speaking and obviously with the with the writing side that she's known for primarily. So thank you so much for coming on today's show all about your speakers life and I look forward to us sharing a stage together very soon. My pleasure, James and yes, I look forward to to bonding with you again and Allison and sharing ideas as well. How would you like to get paid to travel the world to share your message and expertise?
