In the 11th Canto of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (11.5.36), Karabhājana Muni gives us the essence of advice about yajña. He says: kalim sabhājayanty āryā guṇa-jñā sāra-bhāginaḥ yatra saṅkīrtanenaiva sarva-svārtho 'bhilapyate He says, in the Kali-yuga age, people who are intelligent understand the purpose of life. Kalim—in Kali (check your watch and see if it's Kali-yuga; they have that on the new Apple Watch, you can push a button and see what yuga it is!). Kalim sabhājayanti āryāḥ—the āryas, those who are high thinkers, they understand a principle that you can apply today. They are sāra-bhāginaḥ. They know what the nectar, or the essence of life, is; they know how to extract the value of this life. Don't be tricked by false promises in the material world. We cannot be successful by material adjustment; it only creates more anxiety. But we can be successful through spiritual knowledge and technology. So, in Kali-yuga—check and see—kalim sabhājayanti sāra-bhāginaḥ yatra saṅkīrtanena sarva-svārtho 'bhilapyate. Sarva means "all" and artha means "all your necessities, all your desires." Abhilapyate—they can all be perfectly fulfilled. Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu showed by example how to have a successful life. And He was here recently in geological time; He was here only "five seconds" ago. "Here" means right here in Madurai. He came here twice, and He showed how to be a successful human being, a sukhi nara. Everyone say: sukhi nara. It sounds Japanese, but actually it is sanskrit! Sukhi nara means "happy human." Who wants to be a sukhi nara? Okay, only half said yes! Then Karabhājana Muni reveals Lord Caitanya's purpose in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam even before Lord Caitanya appeared, and that is to use this life for sacrifice (yajña). Someone may say, "Well, how should I perform the sacrifice? Should I get lots of ghee and grains and build a yajña-śālā that will light up the sky and pour all the ghee and grains into the fire? Shall I go to the Himalayas and find a cave in which I can meditate? Shall I build a gigantic temple made of stone with 400 spires on top?" Karabhājana Muni says, "Perform this sacrifice." Check and see: is it still Kali-yuga? If it is Kali-yuga, then he says: perform saṅkīrtana. It means to congregationally chant the names of God. Caitanya Mahāprabhu learned this from His spiritual master: harer nāma harer nāma harer nāmaiva kevalam kalau nāsty eva nāsty eva nāsty eva gatir anyathā Just take shelter of the process of saṅkīrtana, and give everyone else an opportunity to take this process. Chant Hare Kṛṣṇa and teach it to everybody. By way of spreading the saṅkīrtana, we should also distribute transcendental literature, because it is "written kīrtana" that will transform the world. When we are engaged in the yajña for the age fully, we can overcome the inconveniences and the troubles of the Kali-yuga age. We can also attain the goal of life .------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #

When you miss a goal, it's easy to label it a character flaw. You tell yourself, "I'm just a lazy person," or "I'm just not wired for success." On this episode of the Achieve Results NOW! Podcast, Mark Cardone and Theron Feidt challenge you to stop taking your failures personally and start looking at them like a faulty machine. Welcome to The Problem Solver's Playbook. This episode is about moving from self-criticism to system audits. Whether you're struggling with fitness, finances, or the dojo, your results are a product of your systems. If a printer stops working, you don't call the engineer "trash"—you fix the printer. It's time to apply that same logic to your life. The Problem Solver's Playbook: 3 Action Steps 1. Identify the Root, Not the Symptom Stop chasing the surface-level problem and start digging for the source code of your failure. Perform a "Deep Audit": Look past the obvious result (e.g., "I missed my workout") and find the environmental trigger (e.g., "My desk was a mess, and I wasted my gym time cleaning it"). Track Repeatable Glitches: Identify patterns in your energy or environment that consistently derail you. Are you setting yourself up for success the night before? Solve for the Input: Focus on fixing the habits that lead to the problem (like overspending) rather than just stressing about the outcome (like a low bank balance). 2. Swap Judgment for Feedback Successful people view mistakes as data, not as a reflection of their worth. Kill Limiting Labels: Stop saying "I'm just that way." These labels are brakes on your progress that keep you stuck in a "mental death" where growth isn't possible. Adopt the "Feedback Loop": Reframe failure as essential data. If you aren't making mistakes, you aren't putting yourself on the line or growing to the next level. De-mystify the Obstacle: Stop assigning a "difficulty score" to your problems. Every obstacle you face has likely been overcome by someone else; look for their blueprint instead of fearing the challenge. 3. Pivot the System, Never the Goal Keep your destination locked in but be infinitely flexible with how you get there. Keep the Destination: If you're struggling to reach your "black belt," adjust your training routine or your timeframe, but don't abandon the goal itself. Leverage Micro-Versions: When momentum stalls, pivot to the smallest possible version of your goal to get a "win" back on the board and rebuild your confidence. Ask Momentum Questions: After every slip-up, ask yourself one question: "What is one small adjustment I can make to make this easier or more fluent next time?" Key Takeaway: Experience "inspirational dissatisfaction." It's okay to be frustrated with where you are, as long as that frustration fuels a system upgrade rather than a descent into procrastination. This week, I detail viewership numbers from Prime Video's exclusive stream of the NFL Wild Card playoff game, making it the most-streamed NFL game in the U.S., as well as those from Peacock's exclusive NFL game on December 27th. I also review the latest subscription numbers for RTL+ and TF1+, as well as the recent price increases from Paramount+ and Spotify. Additionally, I discuss the new Amazon content deals with M6 in Europe and RTVE in Spain, involving live linear channels. Finally, I explain why the Metaverse was never real and just a fantasy of executive egos with money to burn, and detail Stats Perform's acquisition of the assets of the ultra-low-latency tech company Phenix Real Time Solutions for approximately $7 million.Added Jan 20th: Correction: I mispoke regarding Paramount's efforts to compel WBD to disclose additional financial information. The judge has not rejected Paramount's efforts, but rather rejected the motion to expedite the trial.Podcast produced by Security Halt Media
“I will make a new covenant with the people. . . . I will forgive their wickedness and remember their sins no more.” — Hebrews 8:8, 12 I can still remember the first time I really understood the gift of God's grace. I had been used to the idea of “earning” favor and approval from people, and that extended into seeking approval from God. It was a familiar pattern: Perform well, and you will be rewarded. Fail, and you are left with guilt and consequences. But grace is not like that. It depends not on our performance but on God's promises—sealed through Jesus. The writer of Hebrews contrasts the old covenant, which was based on laws and rituals, with the new covenant of grace established by the sacrifice of Jesus. The old covenant required continuous sacrifices for sin, but Jesus, through his sacrifice of himself once for all, made it possible for us to draw near to God, being loved and forgiven. The new covenant means that we no longer need to fear God's judgment. We are invited into an intimate relationship with God, marked not by our obedience but by God's perfect love. No matter what our mistakes are, God's grace is always greater. This is the good news of salvation—the new covenant in Jesus. As we reflect on all this, let's embrace the freedom that comes with grace. No longer bound by old rules, we can live in hope and peace, knowing God has made a way for us to be fully loved and forgiven. Jesus, thank you for establishing the new covenant of grace. Help us fully to embrace your love and to live in the freedom you have given us. Amen.
Today's conversation is with Dan Lawrence.Dan is a performance coach known for his relentless standards, consistency, and long-term approach to excellence. His work sits at the intersection of training, nutrition, recovery, and mindset, and he's become one of the most trusted operators in high-performance circles - from elite athletes to business leaders who want to operate at a higher level year-round, not just in January. In this episode, we unpack what high performance actually looks like in real life - beyond buzzwords, hacks, and short-term motivation. Dan shares how his own personality has shaped his drive, where he's had to slow down to reflect, and how he helps clients build systems that compound over time rather than burn them out.Expect to LearnWhy high standards and consistency matter more than motivationHow Dan works on reflection, not just relentless forward momentumThe 4 pillars of Perform 365: training, nutrition, recovery, and mindsetHow Dan uses data and testing with clients — and what deficiencies show up mostHow environment design shapes behaviour more than willpowerHow Dan reframed his relationship with running and why “start where you stand” mattersWhat made the difference between Connor Benn's loss and subsequent winThe biggest misconceptions about high performance in JanuaryHow Dan reviews the year and resets before going againMost people don't fail because they lack ambition - they fail because they chase intensity without structure, data without context, or goals without identity. Triplett emphasizes that empathy is the most critical tool in a sales professional's arsenal. He argues that making a client feel accurately understood is more influential than price, product quality, or specific scripts. A central focus of the discussion is the "recap" technique, where the contractor paraphrases a client's story and emotions to build profound trust before discussing project costs. The group explores how to avoid robotic repetition by weaving personal details and specific "buzzwords" into a narrative that demonstrates genuine care. Additionally, the participants troubleshoot real-world challenges, such as managing high-pressure calls and using emerging technology to qualify leads remotely. Key Takeaways: Prioritize showing empathy over perfecting your sales script or pricing because it acts as a multiplier for all other professional skills. Perform a detailed recap at the end of a conversation to repeat a client's story back to them in a way that proves they have been accurately understood. Distinguish between empathy and agreement so you can understand a person's perspective without necessarily supporting their intended course of action. Always ask for explicit permission before transitioning a conversation toward sensitive topics like budget or pricing to build trust and maintain a respectful tone. Slow down the pace of a high-pressure interaction by explicitly mentioning that you are taking notes to ensure no important details are missed.

I'm turning 50, building a business, working a part-time job while everyone tells me to go full-time, and I still don't have it all figured out. And that's exactly the point. In this episode, we're exploring a question that might change everything: Who were you before you learned to perform? Before you figured out which version of yourself kept you safe, got you approval, or made other people comfortable? Most coaches talk about fear. But I think the real issue for women isn't fear. It's invisibility. And after doing it for so long, we don't even realize we're doing it anymore. This isn't about fixing yourself or becoming someone new. It's about unbecoming everything you learned to be that was never really you…and having the courage to be seen while you're still figuring it out. Ready to connect with Heather? We've been told time and time again that nutrition plays just as vital a role as training in performance for any sport. But with dancers' schedules and competition weekends as taxing and limited for time as they are, dance parents are often left stuffing some crackers into their kids before and after they go on and praying they'll eat when the day slows down. To help us understand what we should prioritize in nutrition for our dancers and help us understand when, how, what and why our dancers should eat before and after dancing, we are bringing on a new guest to the pod, Bella Platevoet. In this episode, I welcome back Seth Pepper to the Always Better Than Yesterday podcast.Seth Pepper is a high-performance coach who works with elite athletes, coaches, and leaders to help them access flow state under pressure. A former world champion swimmer who came within a single stroke of making the Olympic team, Seth now works behind the scenes with world-class performers across multiple sports and world's leading organisations— supporting them to perform with presence, purpose, and freedom when it matters most.In this conversation, we explore:• Why love, not trophies or validation, is the common thread of the greats• The paradox of mastery: deep learning paired with being okay with not knowing• Seth's three core elements of flow: ability, acceptance of unpredictability, and caring• Why pressure isn't the enemy — pressure is proof you care• The difference between being the prince (seeking validation) and the king (taking responsibility)• How purpose unlocks performance beyond ego and outcome-dependence• Competition through a higher lens: team-first, purpose-first performance• Why “winning is unsatisfying” without meaning• Parenting and coaching young athletes without stealing their inner feedback loop• How returning to joy — being “10 years old again” — can change everything• The question that reframes performance entirely:“If you couldn't lose… what would that look like?”Those with ears, let them hear.Always love,RyanConnect with SethWebsite: www.sethpepper.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SethPepper Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sethpepper Connect with Always Better Than YesterdayWebsite: https://abty.co.uk/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/alwaysbetterthanyesterdayuk/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/abty/Men's Group: https://abty.co.uk/akiraJoin our mailing list: https://abty.co.uk/contactExplore coaching: https://abty.co.uk/coachingPlease email questions and reflections to: podcast@abty.co.uk#SethPepper #HighPerformance #HighPerformanceCoach #RememberWhoYouAre

If you're rehearsing your stories five minutes before an interview, you're cooked. I'm not saying that to be dramatic. I'm saying it because it's true. Right before an interview is not the time to cram, memorize examples, or mentally sprint through your résumé. This will just get you tense, not to mention self-focused (

Hosts: Mark Cardone & Theron Feidt The Concept: Most people hit Monday head-on without a plan, leading to "Monday Blues" and reactive living. In this episode, Mark and Theron break down the Sunday Summit—a 15 to 20-minute process to audit your past week and strategically architect your next one so you can hit the ground running. The 3-Step Sunday Summit Action Plan: Step 1: The Rear-View Mirror Review (The Audit) Before moving forward, you must clear the deck of the previous week. Open Loop Sweep: Review unfinished tasks, emails, and to-do lists. If you haven't finished everything, don't sweat it—prioritize what carries over. Celebrate the Wins: Acknowledge your accomplishments, from difficult work tasks to meaningful time with family. The Delete Button: Be ruthless. If a task has been carried over for three weeks, ask yourself: "Am I actually going to do this?" If not, delete it. Step 2: The Big Three Anchor Theron emphasizes the power of threes. Instead of a 20-item list, focus on the Big Rocks. Identify Non-Negotiables: Choose three "must-do" items for the week that move the needle on your long-term goals. Schedule the Big Rocks First: Use the jar analogy—put your big rocks in the calendar before the "sand" (busy work) fills up your time. The Domino Effect: Identify which of your big three will make the others easier. Task buddies allow one action (like a walk with a spouse) to hit multiple goals (health, communication, and relationship building). Step 3: Friction Removal (Tactical Logistics) Logistics and tactics are where the rubber meets the road. Pre-Decide the Details: Lay out your gym clothes or pack your vehicle the night before. "Decision fatigue kills willpower." Don't waste morning energy on trivial choices. Calendar Conflict Check: Sync your digital and paper calendars. Account for travel time and recurring "habit" appointments that you might have overlooked. The Monday Launch Pad: Define your exact first move for Monday morning. Don't start your day reacting to email or "Wordle." Know exactly what task you are hammering out the moment you sit down. Core Wisdom from the Show "If learning isn't changing how you act, decide, or perform—you didn't actually learn it. Information changes nothing; applied information changes everything." Immediate Action Items 1. Perform a Sunday Summit: Dedicate 20 minutes this Sunday to the 3-step audit. 2. Define Your First Move: What is the one thing you will do at 8:00 AM Monday? 3. Ever get advice that takes years to fully understand? My late wife Cheryl told me something on her deathbed that's finally clicking after 19 years. "Always do what makes your heart sing." I thought I got it. Ran with it. Even did keynotes about it. But I missed the real meaning. It's not about chasing passion or making money. It's about that moment when your heart relaxes and gets excited at the same time. When you feel fully yourself. That feeling is your calling. And when you embrace it, you create permission for others to do the same. Featured Story Nineteen years ago, my first wife Cheryl was facing her terminal diagnosis. The same day I started the commercial version of this podcast. A hundred days later, she was gone. But before she passed, she grabbed my hand and asked if she could give me some advice. Of course I said yes. "Always do what makes your heart sing." I nodded. I thought I understood. But honestly, it took me two decades to really get what she meant. It's not about doing whatever you want. It's about embracing your God-given uniqueness and running with it. When you perform to your talents, even when people don't understand, your heart knows. And that authentic expression creates permission for everyone around you. Important Points • Your heart already knows what makes it sing - you just need to listen for that relaxed excitement feeling daily. • Doing what makes your heart sing isn't selfish - it creates ripple effects that give others permission to do the same. • It's not narcissism - it's embracing your God-given talents and expressing them authentically without apology. Memorable Quotes • "Do what makes your heart sing - embrace your uniqueness and just run with it, unapologetically and courageously." • "When your heart relaxes and gets excited at the exact same time, you've finally found what you're meant to do." • "Perform to your talents and watch people naturally line up wanting what you have - that's your genuine calling." Scott's Three-Step Approach • Find that moment when your heart relaxes and gets excited simultaneously - that's your unmistakable signal here. • Embrace what truly lights you up, even when others don't understand it - their approval was never required anyway. • Keep showing up authentically in that space and watch the ripple effect create permission for everyone around you. In this episode I finally explore a topic I've wondered about for a long time: circumcision. How did an ancient punishment for prisoners turned religious ritual become a medical procedure carried out by over 80% of Americans? What triggered doctors to start recommending circumcision for all newborn boys starting in the late 1800s and why doesn't the rest of the world do it too? What about the ethical implications of performing a body altering procedure on someone without their consent? Is there really a good reason to do it? Or does a 5.4 billion dollar a year industry come into play? Let's fix that. Support the show! In this episode, Ciaran McArdle, CEO of XL Sports World and author of The Soccer of Success, joins Julie Kratz to discuss how the principles of the "beautiful game" can be used to transform corporate leadership. McArdle shares three key strategies for high-performance leadership, drawing parallels between the soccer pitch and the professional workplace: 1. Tailored Leadership: Meet Team Members Where They Are Effective leadership requires a nuanced approach, much like a soccer captain managing a diverse squad. Individualized Communication: McArdle notes that while one teammate may need direct, vocal feedback to improve performance, another might require a quieter, more supportive "arm around the shoulder". Psychological Insight: Leaders must understand the unique psyche of each team member to determine the best way to motivate them and demand their best. 2. The "White Line" Concept: Establish Clear Boundaries In soccer, crossing the white line onto the pitch signifies a complete shift in intensity and mindset. Performance Intensity: While on the "field" (the workplace), teams should maintain high focus and be willing to ask tough questions to drive results. Switching Off: Equally important is crossing back over that line. McArdle emphasizes that once work is done, leaders must normalize stepping away and focusing on recovery to avoid burnout. 3. The 90-Minute Mindset: Protect Deep Work McArdle introduces a "90-minute mindset" for productivity, mirroring the length of a standard soccer match. Distraction-Free Focus: He advocates for scheduling 90 minutes of uninterrupted work—phone on airplane mode and emails closed—to tackle high-impact goals. The "Hattrick of Success": This focus is part of a larger cycle: Plan, Perform, and Recover/Review. Consistent execution in this format allows teams to perform at elite levels without sacrificing long-term mental health. Follow Ciaran McArdle at https://soccerofsuccess.com/.
