Tom Bodrovics welcomes back Brett Heath, CEO of Metalla Royalty and Streaming, to discuss the current state of the gold industry. Brett highlights a strong bid under gold, driven by macroeconomic factors such as shifting perceptions around US assets and central bank diversification into gold. He notes that emerging market economies are reducing their exposure to US treasuries and increasing gold reserves, creating sustained demand. Brett emphasizes the undervalued nature of gold equities compared to historical standards, suggesting they are attractively priced for investors seeking stability and cash flow. He points to increased M&A activity as companies scramble to acquire high-quality assets amid a scarcity of scalable projects. Brett also discusses the speculative nature of silver, which is currently underperforming relative to gold, but sees potential for a rebound if sentiment shifts. Overall, Brett paints a bullish picture for gold, with significant long-term appreciation expected despite short-term volatility. He urges investors to monitor trends in asset valuation and central bank activity, signaling that now may be an opportune time to invest in high-quality gold assets. There are now 361,101 homes, farms and businesses that have been passed with NBI fibre out of the 564,000 currently included in the NBP Intervention Area. People living and working in the rollout area can connect to high-speed fibre broadband on the NBI Network through a choice of 50 different broadband providers actively selling on the network. Everyone can enter their Eircode on the NBI website, www.nbi.ie, to see if their home or business is included in the rollout, as well as seeing the broadband providers offering high-speed fibre connectivity in their area. As the rollout phase of NBI's network nears completion, take-up rates continue to grow. NBI has now completed the preliminary survey works required for the entire Intervention Area and the rollout is on track to pass over 420,000 premises by the end of this year. More than 125,000 premises have now connected to the NBI Network, with the average take-up rate of 35% well ahead of projections and international comparisons. The connection rate surpasses 50% in areas where the NBI Network has been live for longer. "Whether it's supporting remote working, helping local businesses expand, or giving students new ways to learn, high-speed broadband is transforming lives and unlocking new opportunities for communities across the country." David McCourt, Chairman, National Broadband Ireland said: "The National Broadband Plan is providing rural Ireland with the same access to digital opportunities as our cities. With 125,000 premises already connected to the NBI Network, this project is making a tangible difference to rural areas that have been anticipating reliable, high-speed connectivity. "In every decision that NBI has taken to deliver the Irish Government's National Broadband Plan, we've provided a blueprint for other nations to follow on their path to full fibre connectivity and that includes our unique approach to educating consumers and creating demand for services on our network." (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Four Christian families evicted in Laos Four Christian families have lost their homes, after being evicted from their village in north-western Laos a week ago.  They were forced to leave their possessions behind, and leave their home in the Luang Namtha province in northern Laos, near the border of Thailand.   BarnabasAid.org has provided funds to cover the believers' immediate needs for rice, cooking oil, hygiene products, and other essentials. United Kingdom's disturbing euthanasia bill The United Kingdom House of Commons is considering a euthanasia bill.   A rather macabre government appraisal has estimated a cost savings of 59.6 million pounds for the killing of 1,000 and 4,500 people per year. The government report also noted other cost savings from the “social care sector and in social security payments.” The bill would allow the killing of a person whom doctors prophesy to only have six months or less to live. Deuteronomy 27:25 speaks to this when the leaders of Israel said, “Cursed is the one who takes a bribe to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!'” Christian clerk, who refused to certify homosexual “marriage,” goes before Supremes Liberty Counsel, a Christian legal advocacy group, will be appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court for Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis of Rowan County. She is arguing that the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment protects her from liability and damages for refusing to issue a “same-sex marriage” license against her religious beliefs. Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said that the case “underscores why the U.S. Supreme Court should overturn Obergefell v. Hodges because that decision threatens the religious liberty of many Americans who believe that marriage is a sacred institution between one man and one woman.” Closer to nuclear war today The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists has moved the Doomsday Clock to 89 seconds before midnight. The clock, which estimates the risks of nuclear war, has been in operation for 70 years.   During the Cuban Missile Crisis, the clock moved to 7 minutes to midnight. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the clock moved to 17 minutes. The clock moved to 2 minutes in 2018, and now 89 seconds to midnight in 2025. The organization attributes “profound global instability and geopolitical tension” to the moving of the needle. “King of Kings” animated film makes $65 million The Mormon-owned Angel Studios has succeeded again — with the film “King of Kings,” an animated story of a little boy who takes a journey through events in the life of Jesus. (audio clip of trailer) FATHER: “Our story begins 2,000 years ago, when baby Jesus came into the world.” SON: “Wait, wait, stop. If it's not about a king, then I'm not interested!” FATHER: “This story is about the King of kings.” SON: “Wow!” FATHER: “It has angels and wicked kings and miracles.” SON: “Look at all the fish.” FATHER: “Oh, so you want to hear the story now?” SON: “Uh-huh!” So far, the film has collected $65 million at the box office. That exceeds the Angel Studios' previous box office total of $14 million for the film, “His Only Son” on Abraham's trek to Mount Moriah. Last year's film, “Cabrini,” produced by Angel Studios, was a treatment of the Roman Catholic saint by the name of Maria Francesca Cabrini who established 67 schools and orphanages in New York City in the late 1800s for poor, Italian immigrants. This production earned $21 million at the box office. The Mormon-owned studio's top box office hit was “The Sound of Freedom,” earning $251 million in 2023 — a film on the subject of sex trafficking. The Chief Executive Officer of Angel Studios is Neal Harmon, a Mormon. Tentative trade agreement between China and America U.S. President Donald Trump announced Monday a temporary China-US trade agreement, which would cut U.S. tariffs on Chinese imports from 145% to 30%. China would cut their tariffs on U.S. imports from 125% to 10%. TRUMP: “Yesterday, we achieved a total reset with China. After productive talks in Geneva, both sides now agree to reduce the tariffs imposed after April 2nd to 10% for 90 days as negotiators continue in the largest structural issues. “That doesn't include the tariffs that are already on, that are our tariffs, and it doesn't include tariffs on cars, steel, aluminum, or tariffs that may be imposed on pharmaceuticals because we want to bring the pharmaceutical businesses back to the United States. They're already starting to come back now, based on tariffs, because they don't want to pay 25%, 50%, or 100% tariffs. So, they're moving them back to the United States. “The talks in Geneva were very friendly. The relationship is very good. We're not looking to hurt China. China was being hurt very badly. They were closing up factories. They were having a lot of unrest, and they were very happy to be able to do something with us. The relationship is very, very good. I'll speak to President Xi maybe at the end of the week.” The deal will operate during a trial period of 90 days. U.S. government debt spirals higher The U.S. government is still on a big spending spree. The U.S. Treasury records a $1.049 trillion budget deficit for the first seven months of fiscal 2025. That's up 23% over a year earlier. Social Security spending is up 9% year-over-year. Outlays reached a record number of $4.159 trillion for the year to date. Gutsy GOP Congresswoman wants to defund Planned Parenthood And finally, Breitbart News reports that Republican Congresswoman Mary Miller of Illinois is behind a move to defund Planned Parenthood's abortion funding through the budget reconciliation process. Miller noted that “abortions made up 97.1% of Planned Parenthood's pregnancy services from 2021-2022, performing nearly 400,000 abortions.” The House Committee on Energy and Commerce released a portion of the proposed bill on Monday, with the provision to strip abortion providers of funding.   Mary Miller is a homeschooling mom of seven and grandmother of 20, hailing from the state of Illinois. Proverbs 24:11-12 reminds us, “Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, ‘Surely we did not know this,' does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?” Close And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, May 13th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. Liz Bui is Chief Executive Officer at YULEX, based in the USA. She began her career in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry where she spent 20 years in senior roles. On top of managing all operational and business matters at YULEX, Liz is an intellectual property and transactional lawyer, a PhD scientist and also an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego School of Law. Originally from Vietnam, at the age of six Liz escaped on the day Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City) fell to the North Vietnamese forces. She and her siblings, without their parents, were war refugees aboard a fishing boat until they were rescued by a US aircraft carrier. Like other Vietnamese refugees from that period, she was granted permanent residency and a new life in the U.S. We'll hear about the origins and mission of Yulex and its long-term collaboration with Patagonia to develop natural rubber foam for wetsuits, replacing neoprene, a petroleum-based material. Liz explains some of the key principles underpinning Yulex's approach to innovation, and how these are fundamental to helping it scale out and create benefits right across its value network. Liz talks us through some of the environmental and health issues associated with neoprene, and explains how Yulex is making it easier for suppliers to use natural rubber instead. She tells us about Yulex's latest material innovation, Yulastic filaments - a sustainable alternative to petroleum-based elastane, aka spandex. And we hear how Yulex's Equitable AG program supports rubber smallholders in Southeast Asia, distributing 50% of the profits back to them.

I'll tell you what happened in my career before. Maybe you've been there, too. There's a sponsorship, sometimes a fairly high-profile sponsorship, and I have gotten asked to write it about it in an ad or email…but, there wasn't really a strategy. That is not the way to get the best ROI, the most juice for the squeeze.Sponsorships truly succeed when they tie into the value proposition of the brand. So this lesson in a recent podcast guest application really grabbed my attention – “Maximize brand awareness by going beyond the ‘logo slap' sponsorship”To hear the story behind that lesson, along with many more lesson-filled stories, I talked to Rebecca Biestman, Chief Marketing Officer, Guild [https://guild.com/].Guild raised $175 million in a Series F funding round in 2022, at a $4.4 billion valuation. Reimagining Affordable Healthcare with Mark Newman of Nomi Health In this compelling episode, Michael connects with Mark Newman, co-founder and CEO of Nomi Health, to tackle the unsustainable state of the U.S. healthcare system. Mark shares a bold vision: rebuilding healthcare from the ground up to be 30–50% more affordable. With every American contributing $1,600 annually to Medicare, Mark emphasizes that we can't afford not to innovate. Together, they unpack how business-minded strategies can drive healthcare transformation—making it not only more cost-effective but more accessible for everyone. Cutting Through Complexity: Transparent Pricing in Healthcare Michael and Mark dive deep into one of the healthcare system's most pressing pain points: the lack of pricing transparency. From surprise bills to excessive admin burdens, they expose how the system drives up costs and burns out providers. Mark offers a refreshing solution—transparent, upfront pricing with no copays or deductibles. This model empowers patients, increases provider compensation, and saves employers and families money. It's a call to action for simplicity and clarity in care. Preventative Care: The $500 Billion Solution What if we could save half a trillion dollars a year by focusing on prevention instead of reaction? Mark presents a transformative idea: double the compensation of primary care providers and pivot the system toward proactive, preventative care for every American. The initial investment—around $200 billion—pales in comparison to the potential economic impact: a trillion dollars returned annually to businesses, families, and government. Michael and Mark explore how prioritizing wellness today can dramatically reshape our health and financial future. Fixing What's Broken: A Smarter Approach to Healthcare Wrapping up the conversation, Michael and Mark shine a light on the root inefficiencies plaguing today's healthcare ecosystem. From misaligned incentives that reward reactive treatment to outdated administrative processes, it's clear the system needs a redesign. Mark calls for a healthcare model that prioritizes simplicity, efficiency, and preventative care. He encourages listeners ready to be part of the solution to learn more at nomihealth.com.  Mark Newman Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Nomi Health Mark Newman is a visionary leader who is reshaping the healthcare landscape as the co-founder and CEO of Nomi Health. If you believe the highest goal of investing is simply to earn a high return, you may be overlooking a deeper purpose—how our money can be used for good.As investors, we've been given resources to manage, not just for profit, but in alignment with God's will and values. It's easy to see investing through a purely earthly lens, but God invites us into a much greater story. Today, Robin John joins us to explore that bigger vision.Robin John is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Eventide Asset Management, an underwriter of Faith & Finance. He's also the author of the forthcoming book, The Good Investor: How Your Work Can Confront Injustice, Love Your Neighbor, and Bring Healing to the World.A Vision for Redemptive InvestingEventide's tagline—“Investing that makes the world rejoice”—is more than marketing. It's a biblical conviction inspired by Proverbs:“When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices, but when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.” – Proverbs 11:10Righteousness, in this context, refers to those who seek the good of others. The righteous prosper by looking out for the people in the city. But the wicked prosper through exploitation, especially of the poor. That leads to groaning, not rejoicing. For Eventide, investing is about more than avoiding harm. It's about actively investing in companies whose products and practices bring tangible good into the world—serving real needs, not exploiting vulnerabilities. Can You Do Good and Do Well?A common concern among faith-based investors is whether aligning values with investments means sacrificing returns.Romans 12 tells us “not to conform to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds.” That means we should be willing to make sacrifices if necessary. But that doesn't mean underperformance.Research from the Biblically Responsible Investing Institute, drawing on a 19-year study, compares values-based screening (which excludes companies involved in activities such as abortion, pornography, and tobacco) with the S&P 500 and yields equivalent long-term returns. It's a myth that you must compromise performance to honor your faith. At Eventide, they don't just avoid the bad—we seek out the good. The Ultimate Question, as posed by Bain consultant Fred Reichheld, also found that the most successful companies are those that best serve their customers and employees. Serving people well is good business, and it often leads to long-term outperformance. Why How You Make Money MattersJohn Wesley once said, ‘Make all you can, give all you can, but make all you can without hurting yourself or your neighbor.”Proverbs 1:19 also warns against partnering with those who gain through unjust means. It's not just what we give—it's how we earn that matters to God. Ill-gotten gain is not pleasing to Him.Generosity isn't limited to charitable giving. A teacher choosing to serve children instead of pursuing a higher-paying career is living generously, even without writing a check. The Good InvestorRobin's passion is to see everyday Christians empowered to invest in ways that reflect their values. His upcoming book, The Good Investor: How Your Work Can Confront Injustice, Love Your Neighbor, and Bring Healing to the World, aims to help believers do just that. The Good Investor doesn't stop at money—it's also a book about purpose and calling. Don't assume your calling means you have to start something new. Many Christians are exactly where God needs them to be. The real challenge is to recognize your work as valuable to God and do it in a way that reflects His goodness.Psalm 1:3 emphasizes that the blessed life is rooted in delighting in God's Word and walking in His ways:“That person is like a tree planted by streams of water...whatever they do prospers.”Robin's new book, The Good Investor: How Your Work Can Confront Injustice, Love Your Neighbor, and Bring Healing to the World, will be released on July 22 and is available for pre-order now wherever books are sold. This is a must-read for any Christian who wants to rethink investing through the lens of God's Kingdom—and rediscover the purpose and power of their everyday financial decisions. On Today's Program, Rob Answers Listener Questions:I have a 401(k) from my old school district job with approximately $7,000-$8,000 in it. Planning Group. This episode shines a spotlight on the critical importance of choosing not just a financial planner, but the right firm that supports them. We discuss how organizations can make or break your financial journey, focusing on the concept of "bench strength"—essentially, what happens when your go-to planner is unavailable or out of the office. Plus, we'll explore the evolution of financial planning at S.E.E.D. and how we cater to a diverse range of clients, from those just starting to those with serious wealth. Takeaways:Understanding the difference between a financial planner and the actual 'real deal' planner is crucial for your financial health and peace of mind. The importance of bench strength in financial planning teams is highlighted, as not having a backup during your planner's vacation can lead to chaos.
