In this week's Wise_N_Nerdy episode, Charles and Joe are back with another hilarious, heartfelt, and thought-provoking ride through fatherhood, fandom, and everything in between. The show kicks off with the Question of the Week: “If you could take a vacation in any fictional setting, where would you go?” From the magical lands of Faerûn to the adventurous Johto Region, the elegant beauty of Naboo, and even the monster-filled streets of Solo Leveling's South Korea, the hosts dream up the ultimate geek getaways that will have every listener imagining their own nerdy travel plans.Next, the trusty roll of the dice leads into the “What Are You Nerding Out About?” segment. Joe dives into his latest anime obsession, May I Ask For One Final Thing?, sharing how its first two episodes set up a hilariously over-the-top premise that hooked him immediately. Charles switches gears, celebrating the unexpected delight of Nerds Slurpees at 7-Eleven, then takes listeners behind the mic to discuss the art of crafting a great podcast hook. He also gets a bit introspective, reminding us all to recognize the good moments in life and hold onto them when they come — a message that perfectly captures the spirit of Wise_N_Nerdy.When the dice land on “Daddy, Tell Me A Story,” Joe brings the laughs (and cringes) with tales from his adventures donating plasma — including verbal brawls in the waiting room and one unforgettable person who decided mid-donation was a great time to remove their needle. Chaos, compassion, and comedy — all in one segment. The fun continues with some “Bad Dad Jokes” straight from the Discord community, proving once again that no pun is too painful for this show. Then it's time for “How Do I…?”, where Charles and Joe share genuine advice on how to cope when life throws everything your way and you're feeling completely frazzled. It's a candid, supportive, and relatable discussion that perfectly blends humor with heart. Finally, the “Parliament of Papas” segment brings a real-world ethical dilemma to the table: a bride-to-be asks her sister-in-law not to bring her seizure-alert dog to the wedding because her maid of honor has a severe allergy. The hosts break down the drama, exploring both sides of the issue with empathy, reason, and that signature Wise_N_Nerdy wit. From laughter to life lessons, this episode has it all — a reminder to slow down, laugh often, and Find your FAMdom in the moments that matter most.Wise_N_Nerdy: Where Fatherhood Meets Fandom

Arthur Hayes & Tom Lee map the new crypto arms race—Hyperliquid vs Aster, Plasma's stablecoin rails, and ETH's DAT-fueled supercycle. Welcome to The Chopping Block – where crypto insiders Haseeb Qureshi, Tom Schmidt, Tarun Chitra, and Robert Leshner chop it up about the latest in crypto. Live at Token2049 Singapore, we're joined by Arthur Hayes (Maelstrom) and Tom Lee (Bitmine) to map two battles shaping the next cycle: the Perp DEX war—Hyperliquid's moat vs. CZ-linked Aster, zero-fee experiments like Lighter, and whether ~$500M/year token unlocks can stay “bullish”—and the race to own stablecoin rails, from Tether-affiliated Plasma's zero-fee USDT chain to distribution plays like Tempo and Codex. We dig into DATs, mNAV compression, and Tom's “ETH supercycle,” plus prediction markets (Polymarket vs. Kalshi) crossing into the mainstream and a surprise Zcash revival. If crypto's future is being decided in trading venues and in money itself, this is where the battle lines get drawn. Show highlights
In this week's Weekly Rollup, Uptober kicks off with Bitcoin and Ethereum surging toward all-time highs as Tom Lee drops another $1B into ETH and Vanguard finally opens its doors to crypto ETFs. We cover Stripe's push to break the Tether–Circle duopoly with its new stablecoin platform, Cloudflare's surprising entry into onchain payments, and Swift teaming up with Consensys on blockchain rails. Plus, Zcash rockets 200%, Ethereum's Lighter perps exchange goes live, and Circle sparks debate with plans for reversible USDC. ---
Are the most important breakthroughs in physics deliberately hidden? In this deep, unfiltered conversation, Prof. Simon returns to explore how advanced physics may have been locked away since WWII — from zero-point energy and plasma stealth to the classified “black world” of defense research. We revisit legendary test pilot Dan Isbell's extraordinary UAP encounters and the physics they suggest, and we ask: Has mainstream science been steered off course for decades? Topics we explore: – Why WWII and the Manhattan Project may have shifted physics into secrecy – Test pilot insights on exotic craft, plasma sheathing, and zero-point energy – The quantum vacuum vs. the old “ether” — and why the words changed – Suppressed experiments from Faraday to Tesla to Chris Chiba today – Passive radar, Gorgon Stare, and citizen-built detection networks – The real split between mundane UAPs and the 5% that defy known physics – Consciousness, remote viewing, and the idea of a connected universe This is a rigorous but open-minded discussion for anyone serious about UAPs, advanced propulsion, and the future of physics.

On this episode of Crypto Town Hall, the hosts and guest speakers dive into the latest wave of stablecoin developments and broader shifts in payments infrastructure. The show covers Visa's new stablecoin pilot for cross-border payments and Swift's multi-bank blockchain initiative, juxtaposing these with ongoing debates around XRP's role in the future of payments versus stablecoins. The discussion expands into new stablecoin blockchains like Plasma (backed by Tether), regulatory moves in the US, Senate hearings on digital asset taxation, and the tension between banks, credit card companies, and crypto firms over interest payments and rewards. Speakers also tackle SEC regulatory approaches, innovations in DeFi and token launches, and the growing need for practical payment rails and regulatory clarity.

How do stablecoin-first blockchains win distribution? Does TVL actually map to value? And why speculation may become the default language of online culture. In this 3-part episode, we explore three different important stories. Segment 1: CoinFund's Seth Ginns explains how newly launched stablecoin chain Plasma aims to compete, plus why the “stablecoin race” with Circle and Stripe is just beginning. Segment 2: Solana Foundation president Lily Liu lays out why revenue—not TVL—should be crypto's north-star metric, whether TVL can be easily gamed, and what a better DeFi metric stack looks like. Segment 3: Figment Capital's James Parillo makes the case for Pump.fun and “AudienceFi”: how creator coins can financialize streaming, whether token collapses are a feature, and why both perps and memecoins rhyme with gambling. Dust to Dust, Weirdos! Welcome back to KEEP IT WEIRD!! The podcast for all things strange, unusual, paranormal, supernatural, creepy, gross, scary, sticky and everything in between! Everytime we get together we chat about something WEIRD and this episode is no exception. WE'RE BACK from a brief hiatus so dont mind us as we spend the first fifteen or so catching you up on life stuff but dont you worry we make our way to the strange quickly as Lauren brings us into a WHERE IN THE WORLD (is Keep It Weird Going?) and we travel (astrally) to NORWAY! Ålen, Norway to be exact in a 15 mile valley known as Hessdalen where for almost an entire century very strange lights have been appearing in the sky. No matter the weather, regardless of day or night these lights show up in bright whites, yellows and reds - sometimes for over an hour! Sometimes they streak through the sky, other times they sway slowly back and forth. But what the h e double hockey sticks are they?! UFOs?! Plasma? Ball lightning? A natural phenomenon we literally don't know about yet?! We break down the scientific discoveries that we DO know along with all the questions we still have about the HESSDALEN LIGHTS. Then Ashley takes a different look at the sky in an ITS THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT! Something is headed our way and its massive. 3i/Atlas is the third interstellar object (that we have ever observed) to pass through our solar system and it's en route as we speak! Most experts believe it's a comet, although some are more skeptical of it's behavior. But that's not why we're here-- we're here to talk about what some OTHER folks believe this object to be. Something called the BLUE STAR KACHINA aka SAQUASOHUH- an apocalyptic prophecy from North America's own Hopi Native Tribes. This bright blue star is said to come from far away and crash into our skies in the "Day of Purification" and is described as a "world engulfing cataclysm" that will end life as we know it for everyone who isn't truly Hopi. The only problem is that the legend didn't actually come from Hopi legends and it was written by a white man in the 60s. OOPS!! Ah well, we'll get em' next time boys.
