On this episode of Crypto Town Hall, the hosts and guest speakers dive into the latest wave of stablecoin developments and broader shifts in payments infrastructure. The show covers Visa's new stablecoin pilot for cross-border payments and Swift's multi-bank blockchain initiative, juxtaposing these with ongoing debates around XRP's role in the future of payments versus stablecoins. The discussion expands into new stablecoin blockchains like Plasma (backed by Tether), regulatory moves in the US, Senate hearings on digital asset taxation, and the tension between banks, credit card companies, and crypto firms over interest payments and rewards. Speakers also tackle SEC regulatory approaches, innovations in DeFi and token launches, and the growing need for practical payment rails and regulatory clarity.

How do stablecoin-first blockchains win distribution? Does TVL actually map to value? And why speculation may become the default language of online culture. In this 3-part episode, we explore three different important stories. Segment 1: CoinFund's Seth Ginns explains how newly launched stablecoin chain Plasma aims to compete, plus why the “stablecoin race” with Circle and Stripe is just beginning. Segment 2: Solana Foundation president Lily Liu lays out why revenue—not TVL—should be crypto's north-star metric, whether TVL can be easily gamed, and what a better DeFi metric stack looks like. Segment 3: Figment Capital's James Parillo makes the case for Pump.fun and “AudienceFi”: how creator coins can financialize streaming, whether token collapses are a feature, and why both perps and memecoins rhyme with gambling. Dust to Dust, Weirdos! Welcome back to KEEP IT WEIRD!! The podcast for all things strange, unusual, paranormal, supernatural, creepy, gross, scary, sticky and everything in between! Everytime we get together we chat about something WEIRD and this episode is no exception. WE'RE BACK from a brief hiatus so dont mind us as we spend the first fifteen or so catching you up on life stuff but dont you worry we make our way to the strange quickly as Lauren brings us into a WHERE IN THE WORLD (is Keep It Weird Going?) and we travel (astrally) to NORWAY! Ålen, Norway to be exact in a 15 mile valley known as Hessdalen where for almost an entire century very strange lights have been appearing in the sky. No matter the weather, regardless of day or night these lights show up in bright whites, yellows and reds - sometimes for over an hour! Sometimes they streak through the sky, other times they sway slowly back and forth. But what the h e double hockey sticks are they?! UFOs?! Plasma? Ball lightning? A natural phenomenon we literally don't know about yet?! We break down the scientific discoveries that we DO know along with all the questions we still have about the HESSDALEN LIGHTS. Then Ashley takes a different look at the sky in an ITS THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT! Something is headed our way and its massive. 3i/Atlas is the third interstellar object (that we have ever observed) to pass through our solar system and it's en route as we speak! Most experts believe it's a comet, although some are more skeptical of it's behavior. But that's not why we're here-- we're here to talk about what some OTHER folks believe this object to be. Something called the BLUE STAR KACHINA aka SAQUASOHUH- an apocalyptic prophecy from North America's own Hopi Native Tribes. This bright blue star is said to come from far away and crash into our skies in the "Day of Purification" and is described as a "world engulfing cataclysm" that will end life as we know it for everyone who isn't truly Hopi. The only problem is that the legend didn't actually come from Hopi legends and it was written by a white man in the 60s. OOPS!! Ah well, we'll get em' next time boys. Lauren finishes off the show with a mini segment called TIK TOKS THAT BRING ME JOY where she introduces us to three different content creators that have helped her get through the last month or so we've been away. In this episode of the PFC Podcast, Dennis interviews Jennifer Gurney, an Army general surgeon specializing in trauma and burn care. They discuss the evolution of burn resuscitation practices, particularly the historical use of plasma and its potential benefits over crystalloid solutions. Gurney emphasizes the importance of plasma in treating burn shock, the timing and dosage of plasma administration, and the challenges faced in burn resuscitation. The conversation highlights the need for a shift back to plasma therapy to improve patient outcomes in burn care.TakeawaysBurn resuscitation has evolved significantly over the years.Historical use of plasma in burn care was effective but fell out of favor due to safety concerns.Current practices often rely too heavily on crystalloid solutions, which can lead to complications.Plasma therapy can address the plasma deficit seen in burn shock. The anti-inflammatory properties of plasma can aid in recovery.Timing of plasma administration is crucial for effective resuscitation.Monitoring clinical parameters is essential for determining fluid needs.Dried plasma could revolutionize burn resuscitation in the field.Over-resuscitation with crystalloid can lead to long-term complications.A return to plasma therapy may improve outcomes for burn patients.Chapters00:00 Introduction to Burn Resuscitation00:59 Historical Context of Plasma Use05:11 The Case for Plasma in Burn Resuscitation11:08 Understanding Resuscitation Endpoints14:44 Timing and Dosage of Plasma Administration19:54 Practical Considerations in Burn CareFor more content, go to www.prolongedfieldcare.orgConsider supporting us: patreon.com/ProlongedFieldCareCollective or www.lobocoffeeco.com/product-page/prolonged-field-care

What if 99% of the universe holds the key to understanding UFOs, paranormal phenomena, and even consciousness itself? In this episode, Kelly Chase and Jay Christopher King dive deep into the plasma hypothesis—a paradigm-shifting idea that plasma, the fourth state of matter, may act as a substrate for intelligence. Fresh from the University of Exeter workshop on plasma cosmology (with thinkers like Robert Temple, Jeffrey Kripal, Bernard Carr, and Nick Cook), Kelly unpacks the conversations that are reshaping the frontier of science and anomalous studies. Together, Kelly and Jay explore: What plasma actually is and why it makes up nearly all of the visible universe. Robert Temple's groundbreaking book A New Science of Heaven and its implications for UFOs and consciousness studies. Why orb encounters and plasma-like phenomena may be central to the experiencer narrative. The limits of materialist explanations—and why plasma may not explain everything. How process philosophy and transpersonal psychology open new frameworks for exploring intelligent plasma. The overlap between orbs, UFOs, cryptids, and the land of the dead. The risks of overreach and the need to resist turning plasma into the next “quantum” catch-all. From the cutting edge of astrophysics to the lived realities of experiencers, this conversation wrestles with the biggest question of all: could plasma be the hidden medium of mind, matter, and mystery? ✨ Join the conversation and go deeper: Cosmosis Community on Patreon – ad-free episodes, monthly calls, private Discord, and more: CosmosisCommunity.com Cosmosis: UFOs & A New Reality – now streaming on Amazon, Apple TV, and multiple platforms: Cosmosis.MediaMusic for Cosmosis is by Michael Rubino. Dr. Hristov gave a webinar titled “Histidine: a limiting amino acid for dairy cows” on March 4, 2025, and joins the podcast in this episode for a deeper dive into the topic. Panelists introduce themselves and give some background on their interest in histidine (00:52)Dr. Hristov gives an overview of his webinar presentation, touching on some of the first research projects that showed lower protein diets resulted in no change in plasma methionine, but a decrease in plasma histidine. When dietary protein decreases, the cow relies more on microbial protein to meet her needs. Histidine content is about 20% less than methionine content in microbial protein. He also notes there are some short-term reserves of histidine in the body, so short-term studies may not show a histidine deficiency when indeed there is one. (7:08)Matt gives some perspective as a consulting nutritionist about the importance of histidine in diet formulation for his clientele. He agrees with Dr. Hristov about the higher requirement for histidine compared to methionine, and he generally formulates diets with 1.1 times more histidine than methionine. (12:38)The panelists share their experiences with the responses observed from providing additional histidine to lactating cows, including milk and component yields and changes in dry matter intake and body condition. They also talk about how muscle loss can mask a histidine deficiency in the short term. (15:43)The panelists discuss the challenges in determining histidine requirements and finding reliable sources of highly bioavailable histidine. (24:04)Why is rumen-protected histidine not commercially available? Clay explains it is due to the high cost of histidine. There are no feed-grade sources, and using human-grade sources is cost-prohibitive. Dr. Hristov notes swine nutritionists are starting to pay more attention to histidine, which might bring the cost down if demand increases. Matt notes aquaculture is also interested in histidine. (33:58)Matt comments that increasing fat content can be problematic for cheese plants. He sees increasing milk protein yield may be the next frontier of dairy nutrition and histidine might play an important role. The panel discusses the role milk pricing has played in the increased fat content. (37:32)The panel discusses what other amino acids might be important in dairy nutrition as research continues. They also touch on methane mitigation and reducing methane intensity per unit of milk. (43:45)Panelists share their take-home thoughts. In this episode, Kelly shares her recent paper Unfurling the Myth, presented at the University of Exeter during a workshop on Process Philosophy, Plasma Cosmology, and Transpersonal Psychology. This gathering brought together scientists, philosophers, and researchers—including Robert Temple, Jeffrey Kripal, Bernard Carr, Massimo Teodorani, and Nick Cook—to explore the possibility that plasma, the fourth state of matter, could serve as a substrate for non-biological intelligence. Kelly's paper argues that the UFO phenomenon is not just an anomaly in the sky but a relational event—an encounter that engages the psyche through the deep structures of narrative. Rather than delivering answers, the phenomenon generates mystery, catalyzing transformation on both personal and cultural levels. Drawing on thinkers like Robert Temple, Jacques Vallée, and Eric Davis, as well as research in narrative cognition and the psychology of curiosity, Kelly explores how UFOs may function as mythic initiators: destabilizing our categories of knowledge, activating curiosity, and compelling us to tell new stories. These stories are not just interpretations but mechanisms of reality-making—reshaping our understanding of self, world, and cosmos. Plasma cosmology and the possibility of plasma-based intelligence The UFO as relational event, not just object or craft Narrative as a generative interface between psyche and field How curiosity and myth catalyze transformation The “Call to Adventure” in experiencer narratives Cultural and personal shifts documented in experiencer research The UFO as evolutionary function, seeding new myths and meanings Whether you're new to these ideas or steeped in the mysteries of UFOs, this episode invites you to consider the phenomenon not as something to solve, but as something to participate in—a story in which we are all co-creators.
