We're back and Digging into 2026! We are starting off the year with a double length episode, "Duggars Down the Aisle." Those clever folks at TLC got us though, it's the wedding of Priscilla and David Waller. It's so unfortunate that the first episode of the year has so much Pest in it. He turns the smug up to 11. Since he is married already, he feels as though he has some sort of wisdom/judgement to impart. This entire episode felt like a lovefest for David Waller, but stay tuned, next week we will shed light on why. We do get a lot of IBLP "humor" which usually means, second hand embarrassment as well. The church of Jesus Christ has been infiltrated by Israel's ministry of foreign affairs and non-Christian religious groups that are paying evangelical pastors to promote pro-Israel propaganda and Christian Zionism. This is very dangerous and it's contributing to many errors within the church, such as the claim that the Jewish people are God's chosen people. This directly contradicts scripture, specifically Ephesians 1:4. Pastor Scott exposes the infiltration and reveals who exactly God's chosen people are.  VF-2528  Ephesians 1:4 Watch, Listen and Learn 24x7 at PastorMelissaScott.com Pastor Melissa Scott teaches from Faith Center in Glendale. After the destruction of Sodom, Lot's daughters tried to take matters into their own hands by repopulating through incest with their father.  The descendants of those children were the Moabites and Ammonites.  They were pagans that warred with God's people and robbed them, but there were some like Ruth that turned to God.  When we are disobedient God can still show us grace if we make that turn back to Him.  VF-2527 Watch, Listen and Learn 24x7 at PastorMelissaScott.com Pastor Melissa Scott teaches from Faith Center in Glendale. This message challenges us to rethink the way God transforms the believer.  Transformation doesn't occur in one singular, dramatic event.  It's an ongoing, life-long process, unique to each individual.  The Apostle Paul is a perfect example of this.  Transformation begins when God opens our eyes and moves us into His light, it continues with slow and imperceptible changes throughout our lives, and it will be fully complete when we are in His presence. AI Investment Bubble or Real Opportunity? What Ford’s $19.5B Loss Teaches Retirement Investors

Introduction Is artificial intelligence the next investment gold rush—or are we watching another government-subsidized bubble inflate before our eyes? With Ford Motor Company writing down $19.5 billion on electric vehicles and tech giants pouring hundreds of billions into AI infrastructure, investors over 50 face a critical question: how do you separate genuine opportunity from dangerous speculation? In this episode of The Tom Dupree Show, Tom Dupree, Mike Johnson, and James Dupree examine the dramatic collapse of EV investments and the explosive growth in AI and data center buildouts. Drawing on research from Dupree Financial Group’s six-person investment committee—including direct calls with data center developers—they reveal how to evaluate hot investment trends without getting burned. With 47 years of investment experience, Tom brings hard-earned skepticism to separate sustainable opportunities from the kind of government-backed disasters that just shut down Kentucky’s Blue Oval battery plant. Ford’s $19.5 Billion EV Disaster: A Cautionary Tale Kentucky’s Battery Plant Shuts Down Ford Motor Company shocked investors with a $19.5 billion write-down on its electric vehicle business, abandoning ambitious plans for full-size EVs like the Ford Lightning pickup truck. The casualty? Kentucky’s Glendale Blue Oval Plant near Elizabethtown—once promised to employ 5,000 workers—has laid off all 1,500 current employees indefinitely. “Ford takes a 19 and a half billion dollars write down on their EV business,” Mike Johnson reported. “Essentially they are getting away from full-size electric vehicles.” Tom Dupree had predicted this outcome over a year ago: “I think it might be that guy named Tom Dupree who said a year and a half ago that that thing would never happen.” Government Mandates vs. Market Demand The Blue Oval failure illustrates a critical investment principle: government subsidies create artificial markets that collapse when support ends. “All of this was coming from government mandates. This was not driven by market demand for electric vehicles,” Mike explained. “The demand was not there because the infrastructure is not there yet. It was this heavy hand of government forcing the market to accept this product that they didn’t want.” What went wrong: Political mandates drove investment, not consumer demand EV infrastructure remains inadequate for mass adoption Manufacturing costs exceeded profitable pricing When subsidies decreased, the business model collapsed Why Toyota Won and Ford Lost While Ford chased government EV subsidies, Toyota focused on hybrid technology—matching actual consumer readiness and avoiding financial catastrophe. “You know who didn’t do that? Toyota,” Mike noted. “Toyota was focusing on hybrid. That was their core focus. And so they’re not taking a 19 and a half billion dollars write down.” Investment lesson for retirees: Companies building products consumers actually want—rather than products governments mandate—create sustainable returns. From Battery Hype to AI Hype: History Repeating? The 18-Month Investment Shift “A year and a half ago it was all about batteries,” Tom observed. “Look up some of these battery stocks, James. I bet a lot of ’em are just in the doldrums.” The investment landscape shifted with stunning speed from battery plant euphoria to AI infrastructure mania. The question: is AI different, or are investors making the same mistake twice? Inside Dupree Financial Group’s Data Center Research James Dupree coordinates research for the firm’s six-person investment committee, scheduling calls with company management and conducting initial analysis. The entire committee recently participated in a research call with Applied Digital, a data center developer leasing facilities to tech giants. “We talked about Applied Digital on the last show,” James explained. “They’re the data center landlord. They build and rent out the data centers.” The Hyperscaler Spending Analysis James’s research revealed critical distinctions between sustainable AI investment and dangerous speculation. “The first thing that the guy showed us was he pulled up a list of the hyperscalers—Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Oracle, OpenAI, all these guys,” James reported. “And he was showing their sales and then he told us how much they’re gonna spend.” James’s assessment: “Amazon good, Microsoft good, Meta okay—they’re kind of getting on that bubble where they’re spending a little bit too much. Meta does 160 billion in sales and they’re supposed to spend 70 billion,” James detailed. “And then where it really gets dicey is Oracle. They do 50 billion in sales and they’re supposed to spend 500 billion. So that’s a red alert there.” This granular analysis—comparing capital spending to revenue—separates professional investment management from amateur speculation chasing headlines. Data Centers: Real Demand or Another Subsidy Bubble? The Power Shortage Reality Unlike EVs, data centers address a genuine infrastructure shortage: 40-90 gigawatts of power capacity needed in the United States. What makes data centers potentially valuable: Legitimate power shortage driving demand Long-term triple-net leases (Applied Digital secured 15-year, $11 billion lease) Potential conversion to REITs for steady income The critical risk—chip obsolescence: “Inside that data center, you’ll literally have $3 billion in chips in that building,” Mike explained. “And right now we don’t know exactly what the useful life of those chips are. Who’s gonna take the liability if these things only have a use life of three years instead of five years?” Government Involvement: Red Flag or Validation? James reported recent news about Core Weave, Applied Digital’s anchor tenant: “Core Weave had some big news today. That stock’s up 23% on the news. The government came out and said that they would be a part of a program related to energy, so the government’s backing that company.” But Tom immediately questioned the parallel to Ford’s disaster: “I kind of have a problem with governments picking winners and losers. That’s something that the Democrats were known as doing, and now the Republicans are doing it.” Examples of government market intervention failing: MP Materials: Government backing, stock dropped from $50+ to $15 Intel: Massive subsidies, uncertain outcomes Kentucky’s Blue Oval Plant: Complete shutdown after enormous investment Tom Dupree’s Investment Skepticism: The Voice of Experience Learning from 47 Years of Market Cycles Tom’s experience provides essential counterbalance to research enthusiasm about hot new sectors. “People are suckers for deals. If they think something’s hot, they jump on it, buy into it. They don’t spend much time thinking about whether it’s feasible or not,” Tom cautioned. “Two and a half years ago people were all over the battery plant thing. It was never gonna work. It was all just hype.” Historic bubbles Tom has witnessed: Dot-com crash (2000-2002) Housing bubble (2008) Battery/EV hype (2022-2024) Potentially: AI overinvestment (2024-?) The “Bigger Money, Bigger Dummies” Principle Tom’s most provocative observation challenges assumptions about tech giant spending: “If the seven largest companies are putting all this money in it, do you think they’re gonna go to zero? No, but the bigger the money, the bigger the dummies sometimes,” Tom warned. “They follow each other. If so-and-so’s doing it, we gotta do it. That’s FOMO. They don’t wanna get left behind.” The Picks and Shovels Strategy Rather than betting on which AI platform wins, Tom advocates investing in essential infrastructure. “I think you invest in not the project itself, but in the people that surround the project—selling picks and shovels to the gold miners,” Tom explained. “Levi’s sold workwear to the gold miners and they became a much bigger company than the gold miners ever did.” Modern picks and shovels: Cooling system manufacturers (like Vertiv) Power infrastructure companies Industrial automation suppliers Data center construction firms The Investment Committee Advantage How Six Perspectives Beat One This episode revealed Dupree Financial Group’s collaborative research process—a six-person investment committee evaluating every opportunity. “What I think is really interesting about this entire conversation is the listeners have gotten a snapshot of why, how we research companies. What information comes out of research, questions asked, and then you get the snapshot of Tom shooting holes through it.” The committee process: Research coordination (James schedules calls, conducts initial analysis) Committee participation (All six members join company calls) Analytical framework (Mike examines spending ratios, cash flow) Devil’s advocate (Tom stress-tests with historical perspective) Risk-based sizing (Committee determines appropriate positions) “With any investment, you identify what the risks are,” Mike explained. “And when you identify the risks, then you can make a better decision as to, okay, does the potential reward justify those risks? That’s why these are small positions in the portfolio, but they serve a purpose in the overall grand scheme.” Market Discipline: Encouraging Signs Investors Punishing Excessive Spending Unlike past bubbles where markets rewarded unlimited capital deployment, current market behavior shows healthy skepticism. Recent examples: Meta’s stock rewarded for reducing metaverse spending Oracle’s stock punished for excessive debt-fueled AI investments Market demands cash-flow funding, not leverage “What was scary is when the market just didn’t care,” Mike noted. “That’s when you get major issues with bubbles and speculation. And now you’re starting to see some discernment there.” Warning Signs to Watch

A deal that would see the Humana Building, at 500 W. Main Street, redeveloped as a large hotel, seems to be cooking behind the scenes.LBF Senior Reporter Joel Stinnett broke the story recently and joins us on the Access Louisville podcast to tell us about what he's learned. As reported on Dec. 12, Louisville-based Poe Cos. is in the planning stages to convert the 26-story Humana Building into a 1,000-room hotel, according to multiple sources familiar with the project. The tower is located at 500 W. Main St., near Louisville's Belvedere, Museum Row and the KFC Yum Center. To reach 1,000 rooms, an additional tower may be constructed behind the existing tower, near or where The Exchange office space and Vincenzo's restaurant now sit, according to at least one source. The existing tower would be converted to house the majority of the rooms, the sources said.On the show, Stinnett tells us how his reporting on the matter came together, other projects the Poe Cos. has in the works and what the needs look like with hotels in Downtown Louisville. We also go over what might happened next. Later in the show we chat about the landscape for electric vehicles going forward. This is in the wake of the news that Ford is pulling back on EV plans, dissolving its battery manufacturing venture with SK On (called BlueOvalSK) and repurposing its recently opened battery manufacturing facility in Glendale, Kentucky. As part of the repurposing, BlueOvalSK is laying off all its Glendale workers. A Ford subsidiary plans to takeover the plant and repurpose it for battery energy storage. It's a complicated situation for the automaker being as it just announced a new manufacturing platform at Louisville Assembly Plant in August in support of a new midsize EV pickup truck with a $30,000 price tag (low for the EV market.) Plans for that truck are still on, Ford says.Access Louisville is a weekly podcast from Louisville Business First. You can follow it on popular podcast services including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

The descendants of the tribe of Ephraim migrated into lands such as Parthia and Bactria, but they eventually spread to Britain.  Britain became a seedbed for the spread of Christianity.  Just like the meanings of the names "Ephraim" and "Manasseh," Britain and America started out "fruitful" but have become "forgetful."  America needs to follow Christ again, and we need to stand strong in Christ. It's Friday, December 12th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Canadian pastor released from prison with gag order Canadian Pastor Derek Reimer has been released from prison in Calgary, Alberta on strict conditions as he is still serving his one-year house arrest and two-year probation for objecting to a Drag Queen Story Hour for little kids in a 90-second, peaceful conversation with Saddletowne Library Manager Shannon Slater. Reimer is not allowed to use any form of social media. Plus, leftist government officials have actually restricted him from attending the Street Church in Calgary and The Remnant Church in Red Deer because his parole officer is scared he will “rally up the mob.” Pastor Artur Pawlawski of Street Church told The Worldview, “Pastor Reimer has been totally muzzled by the Canadian courts. He has been prohibited from talking with anyone including his family, his friends, churchgoers, or reporters. It's a total, Soviet-style gag order. If he talked to anyone about what is happening he will go straight back to prison.” Pawlawski knows first-hand about these kind of oppressive government tactics. He said, “I grew up behind the Iron Curtain. Communists muzzled the public.  If you dared to expose them by telling the truth, they would do a show trial, imprison you, and torture you. “ Not surprisingly, the Canadian judge insisted that any Biblical objection to the sinful lifestyle of transgenders and homosexuals on the part of Pastor Reimer would qualify as “hate speech.” Calgary Pastor Shawn Hamm said, “The courts in Alberta are corrupt and they have been turned into a political circus! The judicial system can use ‘hurt feelings' in the province of Alberta to try to silence Christians on our biblical beliefs. They are doing their best to silence Pastor Derek, but they cannot silence all of us!” Hamm added, “The Drag Queen Story Hour that is happening all across Canada must be exposed for what it is -- pervert grooming sessions that are happening in public spaces!” Learn more and help with Pastor Reimer's legal defense at www.SavePastorDerek.com. Jeffress: “None of the government's business” what pastors preach On Wednesday, Pastor Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Dallas had a message for  a White House religious liberty panel. JEFFRESS: “What I preach from the pulpit of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, or any pastor preaches from his church is none of the government's business.” (clapping) In testimony before the U.S. Department of Justice's Religious Liberty Commission, Jeffress shared their experience with the Internal Revenue Service during a controversial church tax inquiry in 2021 under former President Joe Biden. Jeffress' statement to the Commission included comments he initially shared with his congregation on Sunday, in which he recounted how the atheist legal organization Freedom From Religion Foundation filed a complaint with the IRS after former Vice President Mike Pence and then-HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson shared their faith testimonies of “how they came to know Jesus as Savior” at Jeffress' church in June 2020.  Jeffress said, “It's interesting that we did not hear anything from the IRS for 11 months. Then, four months after Joe Biden became president, on May 6, 2021, the IRS informed our church that they were initiating an inquiry into the tax-exempt status of our church because of our patriotic service.” He added that he does not endorse candidates from the pulpit, but “we encourage Christians to vote their biblical conviction.” Ironically, on November 1, 2020, the same day he addressed his church about the presidential race, President Biden was speaking at the Sharon Baptist Church in Philadelphia, where the former president and the church's pastor “openly encouraged members to vote for Biden while both men were standing in front of a campaign banner in the church.” Jeffress noted, “When we pointed out the contrast to the IRS between our non-endorsement policy and this church's flagrant disregard for the Johnson Amendment, the IRS officials conducting the examination had no response.” While the inquiry lasted more than a year, the IRS eventually acknowledged in July 2022 that First Baptist Dallas “did not engage in any improper political intervention or violate the U.S. tax code.”  Despite the favorable outcome, Jeffress said he wanted to testify before the Commission because while First Baptist Dallas could afford the legal fees, most churches could not — nor, he said, should they have to do so. Elon Musk affirms belief in Creator On The Katie Miller Podcast, billionaire Elon Musk revealed that he looks up to the Creator at the 12:37-mark of a nearly hour-long conversation, reports The Christian Post. MILLER: “Who do you look up to the most?” MUSK: “The Creator.” MILLER: “What's your current position on God?” MUSK: “God is the Creator.” MILLER: “You don't believe in God, though, do you?” MUSK: “Well, I believe those this universe came for something. People have different labels.” The comments from the Tesla and SpaceX founder are the latest in his publicly evolving views on God and faith. In response to a tweet from a user on X urging him to confess a Creator in May 2022, Musk wrote: "Thank you for the blessing, but I'm OK with going to hell, if that is indeed my destination, since the vast majority of all humans ever born will be there." Describing the reality of hell, Jesus said to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.'"  (Matthew 25:41) Subsequently, in 2025, Musk urged his millions of X followers to go to church following the assassination of Charlie Kirk on September 10th.  He also attended Kirk's memorial in Glendale, Arizona on September 21st. 17 pro-lifers arrested for blocking Memphis Planned Parenthood abortion mill And finally, ten men and seven women spent a night in a Memphis jail on December 5th, after staging a peaceful protest in front of the Memphis, Tennessee Planned Parenthood abortion mill, reports LifeSiteNews.com. The protest was organized by “Rescue Resurrection,” a pro-life group planning “rescue” actions across the country. Those arrested included well-known figures in the pro-life movement: Randall Terry, founder of Operation Rescue; Joan Andrews Bell, a longtime pro-life advocate; Terrisa Bukovinac, director of Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising; Nathan Berning, director of Let Them Live; and Dr. Monica Miller of Citizens for Life, among others. Exhausted from spending a sleepless night in an over-crowded holding cell with no beds, Randall Terry said that “this is a very small price to pay to stand up for the babies.” Video footage of the arrests captured by journalist Ford Fischer shows Terry, Bell, and other pro-life protesters being dragged away by police, because they went limp, before being transported to jail.  And there is video of Joan Andrews Bell, a sernior citizen, being carried away by three Memphis Police Officers. Bell was pardoned by President Trump after being sentenced to two years in prison for a prior abortion clinic blockade for which she was prosecuted under President Biden. No doubt they were inspired by Proverbs 24:11 which says, “Rescue those being led away to death;  hold back those staggering toward slaughter.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, December 12th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com). Isaac, in turn, shares his wish for a perfect last meal if he were on death row, humorously envisioning a lavish steak dinner in Las Vegas, indicating a desire for indulgence even in extreme circumstances. The dialogue shifts to the topic of Christmas shopping, particularly focusing on the experience of navigating crowded stores during Black Friday. Jen recounts her shopping trip to Anthropologie, where she faced the chaos of holiday shoppers and the disappointment of discovering that certain sales were only online. This scenario illustrates the challenges of modern retail experiences during festive seasons, encapsulating both the excitement and frustration that often accompany holiday shopping.Additionally, they touch on the implications of their discussions, such as the societal pressures to adhere to holiday traditions and the commercialization of the festive season. Jen's mention of the insincerity of fake parking signs in Glendale adds a layer of social commentary, reflecting on how community interactions change during peak shopping times. Their humorous take on serious topics allows for a lighthearted exploration of societal norms and expectations surrounding the holidays. In conclusion, the conversation between Isaac and Jen serves as a humorous and relatable exploration of holiday traditions, food, and shopping. Their dynamic reveals the charm of everyday interactions while also providing insight into the complexities of modern holiday experiences. By blending personal stories with broader societal observations, they engage the audience in a dialogue that resonates with many, encapsulating the festive spirit with a touch of levity.

In studying the Lost Tribes, it is important to understand that the term "Jew" does not refer to the ethnicity of a person but refers to one who practices Judaism. Having a timeline of the European tribes in modern history helps us to understand their connection to the House of Israel and what is to come in the last days.  VF-2360 Watch, Listen and Learn 24x7 at PastorMelissaScott.com Pastor Melissa Scott teaches from Faith Center in Glendale. Understand the Bible? Pastor Melissa Scott, Ph.D.

There were multiple waves of migration from Egypt and the Levant into Europe. The tribe of Dan and others settled in Greece and at Troy, eventually spreading to Scandinavia and Britain. These lands settled by the lost tribes of Israel later play a crucial role in the spread of the gospel, as well as the propagation of the uncorrupted message in the last days. There is evidence that Dan and other tribes learned seafaring and other skills from the Phoenicians.  The Phoenicians were descendants of Ham who lived on the coast of the Holy Land and who sailed to many lands, engaging in mining and trade.  God strategically placed them where they could pass their skills on to the tribe of Dan.
